It’s the only suit I use in Arkham Knight. Of course I use the other great ones on occasion, but I haven’t “mained” any other batsuit in several years.
Robert Pattinson’s cowl is by far my favorite of all live action cowls. It fits his head and face shape perfectly. It feels less like a bulky helmet, and more like an extension of his own face. The transition from mask to face is perfectly smooth, and the ear length is about perfect. As his suits evolve throughout the Matt Reeves saga, I hope his cowl stays relatively the exact same as it was in The Batman.
Wow. Really? To me it’s by far the ugliest and laziest cowl. The smoothness of it and ridiculously flat nose is so expressionless and boring. That suit is a huge disappointment.
Pattinson’s is honestly my favorite it’s not only grungy but it also seems the most likely to be made as a combat armor plus the stitching details really makes it alive .
I loved Pattinson's suit so much but I hope they evolve it to the point where its less obviously armored. Streamline all the strapped on bits into the armor and make it a bit more sleek. Maybe now they can introduce Lucius and they can collaborate on it together.
As a Batman fan for the last 30 years. I am glad to see a take on all the suits from every movie. Batman forever will always be my favorite look as my first Batman movie in theater and that’s because I love the gotham in Batman returns. Perfect anniversary gift.
Michael Keaton's Batsuits remain the most iconic to me in live-action (the BTAS costume has always been my go-to Batsuit in animation). They may not be the most practical with the whole stiff neck thing, but they still look the best in my book between the color scheme and classic chest emblem. Plus, they set the standard that all subsequent Batman movie costumes have followed, right down to the black eye makeup.
Latest batsuit itself is just a masterpiece along with the actual movie. It 's so satisfying when you finally get a product that's captures an idea so well like this movie has done.
it's fitting they named the latest movie The Batman because it is THE Batman movie. It perfectly captures the characters and the overall vibe of Gotham City
At least with the Schumacher suits, you can always tell if it's cold outside. It took many years, but I'm glad that we finally have a suit where the nose of the cowl looks right. I just hope that one day, fabric technology will become advanced enough that we can actually have a cloth hood that actors can freely remove from their head like a hood.
I REALLY hope you're talking about Pattinson's suit because the nose of the cowl looks PERFECT on him just like the whole Batsuit as a whole. I would say that Pattinson's Batsuit from The Batman is PEAK design because it completely captures what Batman is mean to beat, a relatively grounded but still over the top dark noir action detective vigilante with a legendary mythos status to him. The movie WAS a Masterpiece as it captured the Detective hard boiled Noir style of the EARLY detective comics OF Batman in a grounded but still over the top comic book style movie which I LOVED to so much because it UNDERSTANDS Batman's character and his world WHILE keeping the dark aesthetics perfectly wrapped up.
What a fantastic retrospective! The cowl of the Pattinson suit is just perfect to me, it looks more like a mask than a hood and brings out the jawline.
The gauntlet grapplers and the batsymbol as batarangs are genius. To top it off, Battinson has PRACTICAL things in his belt. Flares, extra grapple for heavier weight, adrenaline needles, miniature explosives and who else knows?
The Batman Suit Is a Absolute Fantastical. Its My Favorite Batman suit and the best Thing is that how even being a Half of a Full armour Pattinson's can still move not looking ridiculous and smooth. I Honesty wont Mind If They Kept This suit For The Whole Trilogy with some Mirror Changes as that of a Awesome design it Got
I think the BvS batsuit is the best looking live action Batman so far. As cool as the others are, Ben’s Batman looked like he walked straight off a comic book page and onto the set. Even though the cape was often computer generated, it still looked amazing.

As much as I love The Batman suit. Zach Snyder's Batman really left an impression on me, it's my favorite even with me growing up with the Nolan films.
I know a lot of people might disagree but I 100% agree with you. If I am to expect a batman veteran who has had his run in Gotham for 20 years, I'd definitely go for the Snyder suit. This was dope. (And Affleck played the role of BW as well as Batman to perfection)
Tim Burton literally created the Batsuit that we all think about to this day. You don't see any new movies copying the gray gymnastics suit from the tv show.
Maybe it's just because the movie is still fresh and I haven't grown tired of it yet, but I think Pattinson's Batsuit is probably my favorite. It looks like something a young adult like Bruce is supposed to be in the movie would come up with. Plus, the retractable grappling gun was awesome in that it was an actual working feature.
Yeah but Pattinson is like nearly 40 years old. I was shocked at how old the guy was, for some reason I kept thinking he must be 25 or late 20s like Christian Bale was when he did his first movie. But Pattinson is mid-late 30s. 37 actually.
Ben Affleck’s was cool because it was the first time we got the Grey and Black on the big screen. It was also cool that it looked like it was cloth but it was armored and flexible.
They eye makeup is actually meant to be part of the cowl. It's in the technical specs in the tech manual published with the films. Being a stickler for practical effects and looking natural the makeup was left in. You can even see it in the first film when he smashed the defective cowl with a hammer. Batman's eyes are traditionally white like the "sonar" scene in most graphic works. This is dropped for live action because it's doesn't work well for actors or audiences.
Batfleck suit in Justice league is my favorite bat suit. Because they basically took all the great elements of the bvs suit but made it look more sleek and lean. The only problem I had was that it was alil “TOO” bulky. But in Justice league the gave him more neck and toned down the padded muscle. (I’m not talking about the tactical armor he wears at the end) I’m talking about his normal Black n grey suit
The BvS suit overall looked better but I agree I liked that they leaned it up and made it more streamlined. But there are some pics out there of the original BvS suit which was before that added all the muscle padding and it looked great. I wish they kept that.
Used to think all the previous Batsuit looks lame until Bale's. But thanks to this video, I've come to realized that all of it are beautiful in its own unique way. It all makes sense. But at the end of the day, the one that really stayed close to my heart is Zack Snyder's. The simplicity and the raw-ness of the suit is just 💯 The battle scars makes it even better. That said, all of the Batsuit looks incredible and Im really excited to see future suits!
the way I see it, each suit for each movie represents the best they could do at the time. as methods improved and technology advanced we saw better and better batsuits.

@@Gadget-Walkmen While I respect your opinion and can see the sentiment, I respectfully disagree. At least with second part. Afflecks suit is on point for a frank-miller representation and I certainly can't fault them on that front. It was probably as accurate as it gets in that regard. Personally though, I dislike Pattinson's batsuit. I think Bale's batsuit more accurately reflects what the batman is. He's the embodiment of retribution. He was wronged horribly and through that he wanted to become the instrument in which all those that are or were wronged get their justice. He wanted to be terrifying, intimidating and give the "appearance" (at least to those who deserved it) that he was revenge in physical form there to punish them. IMO, Bale's suit captured that perfectly as did his demeanor and performance.
@@Sabamonster Not seeing on how ANYONE can "dislike Pattinson's Batsuit" at all as his suit looks PHENOMENAL on screen from having the heavy duty armor that all looks Makeshift within reality but still keeps the over the top look and feel of a comic book character brought to life AS WELL as having the perfect Neo-Noir Vibe of modern times with ALL the right gadgets and equipments all over his batsuit in the right places. While Keaton's 1989 suit is my personal favorite, I really love Robert Pattinson's suit in The Batman. There's something so intimidating about how geared up and armored it is. It's like a cross between Christian Bale's hi-tech suits and Ben Affleck's stripped down, comics-accurate suit.
For me, The Batman suit is by far the best. Second would be the BvS Batman suit. They're all incredible in their own ways, but those two for me, specifically The Batman suit, ARE BATMAN!!
I'll throw in my two cents. Affleck is the perfect Batman. And Pattison's Batman reminds me of a younger version of that Batman. I loved Batman Begins more than any other of Nolan's versions and I still think Keaton was the biggest surprise in how well he played him.
My favorite batsuits are the 1989, Batman Returns, Batman begins, the 2004 animated series, Batman the Animated Series, the Dark Knight, and the Batman 2022 movie suit
@@theta38 Says almost every "real" Batman fan. Batffleck is one of the worst Batman live action iterations. If you like him, cool, totally your wish, but he is indeed a disappointment. Batman isnt a knock off Punisher.
I think the Batman Begins does it for me the most, but Synder's/Afflecks is great comic brought to life. As kid of the 80's Keaton/Burton's will always be loved by me, but Patterson really leans into the Young Batman. Its got this grungy, Gaslight batman look, and it works really well for the story it is told in. What is your favorite Batman scene? Mine is in Batman Begins when he is interrogating the Cop hanging off the side of the building. "Where are they!?....Do I look like a cop!? SWEAR TO ME!!!" That was the fear striking Batman I had been looking for. Yeah yeah, Nolan might of went overboard in the 2nd movies with the voice change, but still When Bale ends that interrogation with "SWEAR TO ME!!" I still get goose bumps to this day.
I really like the theatricality of the burton suits, but I think the best two suits are the battinson and batfleck suits. Battinson suit is the perfect mix of theatricality and practical armor, and the Batfleck suit is just ripped straight from the comics.
The Batman suit is my favorite Batsuit. The element I love the most is one of the simplest. The collar is such a great idea to bring to live action. Not only does it protect the neck but it also allows for maximum mobility of the neck. Also the ears are the perfect length and shape as well as the cape.
Yeah, and with more than half of his face exposed all the time, Paterson's chiseled jaw is clearly able to provide the best protection from explosions at point blank range.
I was born in '65 so I have early memories of watching the Batman tv show and I loved it. I was able to get a comic book now and then when I was out with my grandpa and Batman was always my favorite. I thought he was the coolest.
My favorites have remained the dark knight and of course the 1989 the suits had a nice transition between comic to film. The producers knee how to bring them to live in the big screen.
Not going to lie I recenetly watched Batman vs superman and I would love to see a stand alone Affleck batman with Jeremy Irons. I loved his heavy batsuit
This was dope to see. I can appreciate each one of the suits in certain aspects. Still hate we never got the Batfleck movie with Deathstroke. That storyboard fight that someone posted on IG was fire. The new batsuit is ok. Im still not the biggest fan of it but definitely like it better than I did at first showing. Couple of things: 1) While I liked the Batman, I do hope this is not going to be another trilogy of "realistic Batman" similar to Nolan's. Not knocking his trilogy of course as I enjoyed all 3 movies in the DK trilogy but I don't want a rehash of it. I wanna be able to see him go up against some villains we either have not seen on screen at all (Killer Croc, Clayface, etc) and/or a better version of certain villains. The rumor of Mr Freeze in the sequel is exciting but I don't wanna see some super grounded version of him. Just saying. 2) One of the new elements they introduced in Pattisons batman is that grapnel gun coming up off the gauntlet. I really liked that. My only question is, if the grapnel is part of his gauntlet, WTH was in that big pouch on the side of his leg? lol
I love the new Batman movie, it’s my favorite, just wish they made him fight more acrobatic an agile, I get they were going for realism but still could have made him more acrobatic like some interpretations in the comics.
I think it implies he isn't done training yet. His costume likely slows him down so he has to tank more shots than the later batman since he's more agile and his suit is better made.
@@Laila5234 *laconic is the correct word. Look it up. It's a style of speech using very few words. Spartan Warriors were known to have laconic speech, especially Leonidas.
Battinsons next suit will definitely be considerably improved. it'll he alot less clunky. I believe there was a cut scene in the film, where he uses the sticky bomb launcher to blow out the roof of the stadium.
All of the suits have their own special form of art and design and are all very appreciated for their form and craft. But..... Keaton's suit is the best! No question. :P
When it comes to suits, I generally prefer the muscular tights look from the comics rather than the armored war machine type and I really dig with the BVS suit the most out of all iterations. It has that sleeker vibe with more mobility and stealth in mind, but has enough broadness and depth to where it's not as campy as the West suit (Which is also great for era).
Batfleck had the best suit, actually looked like something from the comics. The blue and gray suit may not look like it, but there's armor underneath. The Batman Returns suit looks better than the '89 suit.

I loved Pattinson's suit so much but I hope they evolve it to the point where its less obviously armored. Streamline all the strapped on bits into the armor and make it a bit more sleek. Maybe now they can introduce Lucius and they can collaborate on it together.
Matt Reeves Batman looks awesome. Especially the cowl. The last scene where Battinson looks ahead while on the motorcycle looks just like the comics.
Adam West's appearance in this video is a delightful surprise. Rest in peace, batman.
As a Batman fan for the last 30 years. I am glad to see a take on all the suits from every movie. Batman forever will always be my favorite look as my first Batman movie in theater and that’s because I love the gotham in Batman returns. Perfect anniversary gift.
I remember taking my cousin to see ‘Forever’ when I was 12. The perfect movie.
The best Gotham portrait was in Keaton's Batman indeed.
Michael Keaton's and The Dark Knight Trilogy Batsuits are my two favorites. He's a silent guardian, a watchful protector, The Dark Knight.
Those were my top two picks too. Michael Keaton's was the most stylish and Christian Bale's was the most scary.
Michael Keaton's Batsuits remain the most iconic to me in live-action (the BTAS costume has always been my go-to Batsuit in animation). They may not be the most practical with the whole stiff neck thing, but they still look the best in my book between the color scheme and classic chest emblem. Plus, they set the standard that all subsequent Batman movie costumes have followed, right down to the black eye makeup.

it's fitting they named the latest movie The Batman because it is THE Batman movie.
You forgot to mention the flat nose and the pin ears that makes him look like Antman
Both Batfleck and Battinson have top tier suits

As much as I love The Batman suit. Zach Snyder's Batman really left an impression on me, it's my favorite even with me growing up with the Nolan films.
I know a lot of people might disagree but I 100% agree with you. If I am to expect a batman veteran who has had his run in Gotham for 20 years, I'd definitely go for the Snyder suit. This was dope. (And Affleck played the role of BW as well as Batman to perfection)
For me, Keaton's suit will always be the most memorable Batman suit ever!

Tim Burton literally created the Batsuit that we all think about to this day. You don't see any new movies copying the gray gymnastics suit from the tv show.
Always preferred the Returns version, but the original looks great. Really wish they'd stick with one, but of course, you need to sell action figures.

fr, both of them
Watching this after Kevin Conroy's death. R.I.P Batman
I agree with that
Yeah but Pattinson is like nearly 40 years old.
Dark knight and Matt reeves Batman are the best bat suits for sure. The black eye makeup when he takes off the mask was a really nice touch as well
Batman v superman suit beats the dark knight suit easily
@@candycorn4912 Nah
They eye makeup is actually meant to be part of the cowl. It's in the technical specs in the tech manual published with the films. Being a stickler for practical effects and looking natural the makeup was left in. You can even see it in the first film when he smashed the defective cowl with a hammer. Batman's eyes are traditionally white like the "sonar" scene in most graphic works. This is dropped for live action because it's doesn't work well for actors or audiences.

(I’m not talking about the tactical armor he wears at the end) I’m talking about his normal Black n grey suit
The BVS suit was way better.
The BvS suit overall looked better but I agree I liked that they leaned it up and made it more streamlined. But there are some pics out there of the original BvS suit which was before that added all the muscle padding and it looked great. I wish they kept that.

And what are you going on about just listing out batman’s character profile? What you said is literally JUST a description of Batman's character and this can fit literally ALL of the live-action Batmans starting from Tim Buron's Batman and onward to Matt Reeves, you're not proving anything here as literally ALL the Batman's appearance is mean to be terrifying, intimidating, revenge and justice filled, we all know this already as this is Batman's character is meant to be with Pattinson's suit and performance capturing that perfectly for the newest incarnation.

Snyder’s Batman might be my favorite. Mainly due to his earth Bat Variant having been through so much that it can be seen on the suit.
BvS batsuit will probably always be my favorite. I love the frank Miller style batfleck. I wish it continued
The Batman batsuit is the best.
Pattinson is the best Batman imo. His laconic speech, passion for justice, and overall physical look gave a complete performance of Batman.
