My question is, why did the voiceover guy not say hey this movie is not called “the black knight”. Is he an AI? He’s definitely a voiceover artist hired by the Ukrainian guy who made this. He never pushed back and just took a paycheck?
My house was right down the street from the old Brach's candy factory. I still remember being late for school because the buses were rerouted when they were filming the explosion scene. The Brach's factory was kind of an iconic building on Chicago's west side from the time it was open to the years it sat abandoned. I'm glad I got to witness that little bit of movie history in my old neighborhood. Pretty cool.
I love that bit from The Black Knight when he says "Tis but a scratch" and Joker replies "A scratch? Your arm's off!". Batman then says "No it isn't, have at you!". Classic batman fight.
Thank you! We are also a big lovers of this movie. We are going to release videos about other Nolan’s films, but if you want to watch a complete documentary following the link in the description. We released it about 2 years ago and it was our first video on the channel Kolo Kino.
@@cloudbloom I only say it that way because in all of these analyses and video essays I never hear it mentioned. I stumbled upon an interview with Waits totally by chance a few years back and had a very wtf moment and was like “that’s heath ledger’s joker!” And from then on I’ve felt like the only one who noticed so thank you for validating that for me haha.
@11:10 what are you saying? Have you never heard the word stalag before? The annunciation is not on the second syllable, it's on the first. And it's not LAG as in fall behind, it LOG as in wood put in a fireplace.
Incredibly unique video on a movie done over and over AND OVER again. Such awesome editing as well! Love the "Everything you didn't know about..." title concept. Very similar to "Everything GREAT about..." so I'm intrigued!
The hospital scene has been confirmed by Nolan himself that there was no improvising there. That was intended to go off in that sequence. His reasoning was they needed a way to get Heath away from the explosions without detonating the entire building. Unfortunately, that particular anecdote isn't true.
Heath is amazing, taking inspiration from A Clockwork Orange and Syd Vicious from the sex pistols.... He took the character and COMPLETELY RAN WITH IT!!!!! COULDN'T IMAGINE IT ANY OTHER WAY

I honestly believe there was a sprinkling of Tom Waits in Heaths Joker. If you've a few minutes look up Heath ledger Tom Waits there's a great video comparison 🙂✌️
I liked the more subdued Rachel Dawes portrayed by Katie Holmes. Maggie Gyllenhall portrayed her Rachel Dawes as being much too arrogant and full of herself. Which is what I think they were going for, and knew that Katie Holmes wasn't the right fit.
I really didn't have any interest in seeing Batman Begins when it was first released. A friend of mine more or less convinced me to go because she loved it so much. I ended up loving it and at the end when the Joker card got turned over, my friend said "BOOM!" out loud in the theater lol. It was a long wait for The Dark Knight, but it was so worth it.
1st off at 11:45 why tf did that music come on bro😂. Felt like I was watching daredevil from 2003 and Evanescence was about to come on. 2nd wtf is “The Black Knight”? Are we talking about 2 different movies?
it's been said by a few on the movie that Heath didn't improv the detonator not going off and that it was planned. given how he performs and his history of improv people created the idea that it was him winging it but it's been disproven since. (I say this without having the proof on me but it's certainly out there that it was in the script for it to not go off straight away)
@@automaticninjaassaultcat3703 i may be thinking of another auteur. Von Trier? N They often will not tolerate a single word of their script being changed.
Another fun fact is that the next summer of 2009, the academy awards expanded their best picture slots to 10, presumably a direct response to the backlash for not nominating the dark knight for best picture, clearly deserving of it
Maybe his mannerism’s were from, Clock Work and Sex Pistols but I felt like it was some what common knowledge that Tom Waits was his main Inspiration for the jokers voice and his laid back Insensitive persona. I could be wrong 🤷♂️

This is just a stupid mistake of our translator. When we noticed it, the guy who recorded the voice over already left the project. So, in order to change it, it´s necessary to reedit and reupload the video. That would basically kill this works since YT punish it really hard you when you reupload it. Ah yes, The Black Knight my favourite Batman film

I know Nolan doesn't allow deleted scenes to be viewed but I'd like to see the remainder of the interrogation scene.
It's fascinating that this film came out 15 year ago and still people discussing about it

Pretty cool that you got Vegeta to read as Christopher Nolan
