- Fixing the other half of everything - • All the Maintenance - ...
This is a friend's all original '85 S10 Blazer. I was tasked to make sure it wouldn't be needing any repairs for a while. I did a part 1 on the truck and then took it back to fix another host of problems in this video. Covering all wheel bearings, engine maintenance, troubleshooting various problems, and more.
Chapters:
00:00 - Intro
00:22 - Front Wheel bearings, brake pads
07:16 - Rear Wheel Bearings
17:41 - Valve Cover Gaskets
22:28 - Vacuum Lines
27:35 - Thermostat, troubleshooting cooling issues (I thought)
32:33 - troubleshooting 4x4
36:03 - Blinker wiring
37:31 - Final drive (This was gonna be longer but I lost my footage. Whoopsies) - Авто та транспорт
I missed...*ahem, I mean my editor missed a couple typos in my subtitles, sorry folks!
No worries lol my daughter does the editing, im not firing her lol
Jack up the wheels a little bit off the ground. Heck they don’t even have to be off the ground. Just jack up the car just right before the wheels come off the ground, and then those bolts will come off way easier.
You are a pretty good mechanic and an exceptional film maker!
Just discovered your channel. Its so good. Way better than TV. Thank you, its all a joy to watch and so much to learn. Really cool.✌️
Awsome!!!
These cars are like Lego, so easy to take apart with no bs or special tools. More fords, do a bronco ❤
this guy's like the mechanic monk!
Impressive! Those vacuum hoses, are no easy task🤜🏾🤛🏽
Your videos are awesome man.
My first car was an 85 s10 blazer with the 2.8. Got it for 2500 bucks. All I ever fixed was the vacuum lines and one of the windows fell out of the track and eventually shattered. If I tried to find one in half the same shape it probably be 15-20k now. 15 years ago some drunk ran me off the road, she jumped a ditch and slammed into a tree 65mph. Took it like a champ for her final ride😢. Glad to see someone showing some love to one😊
That's a shame! I had my first car totaled because of someone else's mistake too. Thanks for enjoying the video.
@@SimonFordman what was your first car
Nice job on all the work. Rock Auto saved me time shopping for parts for my 95 F350 7.5L.
That trick also works great on exaust manifold bolts, they always break off lol❤
What a great channel! Fantastic editing and really appreciate that you don't edit out any goofs! That helps all of us in the learning process. Definitely subscribed
Excellent film making and automotive skills, watching your videos are awesome
Great Video. Great little truck. Keep up the good work sir.
Awsome s 10 blazer! Dont see these very often! Right on! Thank god that breaker bar did it! Lol❤
Very educational video ❤ always good knowing how to do it your self💪
Pretty solid repairs!
Love the trick on the broken bolt - I’ll be using that in the future. Just never had much luck with E-Z outs
Well I got to say I've seen this guy a couple times and I really enjoy it you know there's no talking no BS just simply just working I think this video is that he's got or relaxing very good job Simon I'll tell you what if you was here in Texas we could get something going and turn some vehicles and make us some money keep up the good work brother you doing fine
Great editing and awesome channel, but dude, please wear eye protection. Especially 1:20 that made me cringe. I know it's inconvenient, they fog up and get in the way but it's not worth losing your vision at your age. I had a close call doing something similar myself, shrapnel would've been 1 inch closer I'd be out an eye. Wear it before you realize you needed it!
Great work!! Love the video! Really nice handiwork!!!
Love these videos. Keep them coming . 😉
Amazing mechanic.
The editing on the swearing is genius.
You should have way more subs! This is retro-cool
Freaking awesome video's, love them!
Great upload!!! 🙏🏼🤟
I use a cheap caliper retraction tool and a seal/bearing driver kit, but your solution is cheaper and seems to work out fine.
Good job!
Buen trabajo !! Me pregunto porqué no usas para conectar los cables eléctricos terminales eléctricos termoretráctiles ?
Subscribed!❤😊
Thanks for not yapping on. That truck bed at O'Reilly's made me laugh.
nice watch
Did you count the number of vacuum lines you replaced? That's wild! Thanks for the chill video.
You really need to get a bigger impact wrench my man.
My first car was an 85 S10 Blazer. PM me if you ever decide to sell it!
Very nice. I'll keep that in mind.
Más que componer un motor parece una cirugía 😷 a corazón abierto. Con tanto cable que no deja ver.
Y eso que es un carro viejo
Que será con los nuevos
No quiero ni pensar

Torque wrench as a breaker bar, noooo!!!! ❤
Those were the days.
lmao @ 14:21 ... that's your next project
X2
Nothin' like the Rock Auto blue tape.
👍
I had an two S-10s an S-15 GMC and then an S-10 Blazer this that one! Only problem I had was with the Blazer. I was driving in town and looked at the hood and the paint was bubbling up! I pulled off to the side raised the hood and bam I had a raging fire!!!! Totaled the S-10 not sure WTH happened?
I would def let u work on my vehicles and i dont let anyone touch them😂
I’m flattered
3/4 inch socket sets are cheep at HF.
Bro I was watching the way you did the rear end and i saw that you were missing the other spider gear
У Вас хорошо получается! Привет с Украины!
Definitivo
Chevrolet no compro son muy problemáticos 😢
Don't mean to be overly critical, but I've always heard you shouldn't use a torque wrench to loosen bolts. Any reason you don't use a breaker bar?
You're right. I started using a breaker bar shortly after these early videos.
i know those bearing hub nuts... they sieze up..
🤗❤️👍💯
I’ve watched a few of your videos, love them, but for the love of everything holy, GET AN IMPACT DRIVER.
Lighting could be improved???? Very difficult to see what he's doing.

Take off your watch fella
So why cant we comment?
Holy crap man, go over to Farm Fleet and get a cylinder of MAPP gas and heat that thing up.
No sense in braking tools for things that need to be heated up
Just saying

After that whole ‘Pink Floyd’ thing ended, Roger Waters here had to do something with his time.

عده كامله
كلها متوفره عنده
يشتري السيارات القديمه ويلقط فيها ويعيد ترميمها
الامكانيات كلها متوفره عنده حتى في قطاع الغيار يحصل مطلوبه
You shouldn't use a carpenter's hammer for this work.
