You should talk about the weird kids show that was released around this time, Ghost Writer. A group of kids who were able to communicate with a ghost through a computer. I don't remember much else about the show except that it was the kids tried to figure out mysteries and enlisted the ghost's help. I also don't remember if it was ever revealed who the ghost was.
@@spookyluke4551YUP, IT SURE WAS, I think ghostwriter was a slave but after that episode they didn't say too much about it. Ghostwriter was a good show tho.
in the 90s a lot of good shows would get cancelled purely because of when it was scheduled or even the channel it was on. Now we have an abundance of bad shows that sometimes just drown out the good ones, which get canceled.
I was 10 years old in 1992 and watching a lot of TV, but I don't remember any of these. However, my morning comedy radio show sometimes to show disapproval played a sound clip of a German man screaming, "Nein! Nein!" And I had no idea what it was from. Now I do, so thank you for that!

I was in 4th and 5th grade in this era, I watched Fox all the time in the fall of 1992, the Simpsons, In Living Color (that I probably shouldn't have been watching), and Martin (that I definitely shouldn't have been watching) and I have zero recollections of a werid Tobey Maguire show.
Oh dang! I saw an episode of Nightmare Cafe back when it aired. I didn't remember anything about it except a private eye ended up at the cafe to solve who shot him. It's been bugging me for years, thank you!

Wow, finally. When I was 9 or 10 I was the last one awake at a sleepover and Nightmare Cafe came on. It evoked such weird emotions that it formed a strong memory, but I was so convinced it was called Midnight Cafe, whenever it randomly popped in my head I would search for that and disregard everything else. I've watched 3 of your videos so far and you've already put titles to two very old memories, thank you.
I was a TV Guide collector and still have the Fall 1992 Preview issue, in that same year Ben Stiller had a short lived sketch comedy and Jennifer Aniston was on another sketch show called The Edge.
I remember liking “Mann and Machine” and I LOVED “Nightmare Cafe”! I wish these shows had lasted longer. They had interesting concepts and could have gotten better if given more time. I miss these types of shows!
Only one for sure I knew about was Nightmare Cafe, again, dad's VHS off of TV. However, I might be somewhat familiar with Knights and Warriors, would have to watch some of them to be sure. And I wondered about the Great Scott, as some of them I found wasn't in English. That explains it. Anyways, thank you for this, did enjoy it.
As a huge American Gladiators fan, I was all in for Knights & Warriors (which also has both full seasons on Tubi). That year was jam packed on Saturday mornings between WWF Superstars, American Gladiators and Knights & Warriors airing almost back-to-back-to-back here in the NY area. The weird thing we have to remember about American Gladiators is that in the very first season (the dark season, as a lot of diehards call it), the audience was supposed to boo the Gladiators, much like the Warriors were here. But the Glads always spoke straight in their promos, even when they were trash talking within their character roles, so they actually gained respect and love from the fans by the end. The Warriors, not a chance, cuz they always kept the characters turned on. Bonus fun fact: Knightmare was originally the Joust trainer on Gladiators, hence his stellar record in Battle Swords. He'd also go on to marry Sha-Ri Pendleton aka Blaze.
As a big Twin Peaks fan I loved On The Air, and wish it got a better chance. And man, Yancy Butler was gorgeous. I had quite the crush on her. 1993 coming up - looking forward to Wild Palms!
I loved Knights and Warriors... I was 9 or so at the time and had gotten rollerblades for my birthday so the whole grab rings with a jousting stick on rollerblades looked like all the fun
Welp, The Review, you've done it again, I do not remember a single one of these. Def going to look into Knights & Warriors though. Great Scott looks like a terrible Parker Lewis ripoff.

Excellent series... informational and entertaining... you put a lot a work in this and it shows....I like how in some clips you keep playing the theme music of the show you're explaining quietly in the background throughout.
Hum, remember Knights and Warriors, god I loved silly things like that. Nightmare Cafe a bit, but mostly for Robert and the fact I remember it being hard to catch.
I vaguely recall Mann and Machine but I definitely remember Knights and Warriors. I remember seeing Great Scott in the TV Guide Fall Preview issue but never saw an episode. I loved shows like that.
I was 8/9 in '92 and recall seeing Mann & Machine and was disappointed when it didn't keep airing. Nightmare Cafe I saw the title screen for while channel surfing but I was told by the title it was inappropriate so I didn't get to watch. I like the concept today and think its worth recreating.
This is one of my favorite years for television when I was growing up. So many great and wacky premises and settings for shows. Great Scott was hilarious,I still remember the episode with Scott taking over the high school mascot job. One of his daydreams was running the guy he replaced over and it was just the funniest thing Ive ever seen in my 9 years of life at the time. Nightmare Cafe freaking rules too. Something my grandfather and I happened upon that became a short lived favorite of ours to watch.
