3rd Rock is still one of my GOATs!👾💝
I remember all of them.
Love X Files and 3rd Rock. I rememberAlex Mack but I'm not sure I've watched it. Looks amazing. Think I know Unhapply Ever After. Don't know the other one
@TheReviewStudio - I'd love to see an episode that focuses on '90s tv series spinoffs of movies.
Highlander: The Series
Conan: The Series
RoboCop: The Series
The Crow: Stairway To Heaven
The Young Indiana Jones Chronicles
Buffy The Vampire Slayer
Stargate: SG1
Before French Stewart starred on 3rd Rock, he starred as Lt. Feretti in the Sci-Fi film Stargate (1994). Kind of ironic.
3rd Rock was such a great show. Every couple of years, I binge the whole show.
I miss it. Over the top but still funny
The over the top comedy works because the characters are not human. If it were human characters doing tge same thing, it would come off as annoying.
Same
3rd Rock was amazingly hilarious. John Lithgow was a fantastic performer, and the rest of the cast was great too.
As for Unhappily Ever After, Nikki Cox's character was so much better than Kelly Bundy.
Alex mack is a good show
the 90's was such a golden age of television.
Of EVERYTHING LOL
Alex Mack was my favourite show. I was shocked to find out that most of my friends had never heard of it before. It was such a gem.
It really was. Thanks for sharing
When Snick was geared toward young teens they were at its peak. It was frustrating when executive meddling lowered the maturity of the tone of the whole block.
couldn't have said it better myself, I completely agree.
Alex Mack was awesome. One of the strangest shows from the SNICK era of 90s Nickelodeon. That era had alot of great shows.
So many great shows. They'll never be able to top that era.
The first four seasons of X-Files are about the best thing ever. The chemistry between Mulder and Scully has never, and will never, be matched ever again.
I can agree with all of that. They had a great ability to hook you into the story immediately.
So overrated
It should’ve ended after season 6 since that was when the Syndicate was brought down.
Erin Sun
And John Crichton had Great Chemistry
I liked until Mulder got obsessed with conspiracies. When it was dealing with supernatural cases it was good.
Everyone had a crush on Larisa Oleynik if you were a teen boy at least. I still think she is adorable.
I was surprised to see her in the Netflix series "The Healing Powers of Dude" thanks for sharing.
I know I sure did!
Same. Always a treat to see she is still acting and pops up in shows from time to time. Like in an episode of Law & Order SVU and a few episodes of Hawaii Five-0. I guess I will have to check out "The Healing Powers of Dude" now.
Haha! I just commented essentially the same exact thing.
My crush never went away and I think She looks better now than She ever did.
What was remarkable about Third Rock from the Sun was that the idea of aliens sent to Earth undercover is very old and cliche, and yet the writers constantly found original and unexpected takes on the concept.
Definitely
I loved that show. Very underrated
💯
This guy has one of the most friendly sounding voices I've heard on UA-cam.
I honestly find it odd he doesn't have more subscribers
He really does. I want a 3 hour doc of him
Loved Alex Mack back in the day!
Awesome
Damn I'm old. I watched all these growing up. Vividly recall the promos for Alex Mack on Snick before it actually came out. Great show.
Thanks for sharing, yeah I'm feeling pretty old lately too.
We're not old
I feel like all these shows were recent
I loved Alex Mack as a kid! Never reboot it! The OG is PERFECT
I can agree with that. Thanks for watching.
They are rebooting it just to annoy you
I loved secrer world of alex mack as a kid. We watched unhappily ever after and 3rd rock. I remember all of these shows. Although I dont remember strangers with candy from the 90s.
Thanks for sharing
Loved both Alex Mack and Unhappily Ever After. I always saw Unhappily as a pretty good Married With Children clone, but I had no idea they were both from the same creators. Also pretty interesting that we might not have had Breaking Bad without X-Files. Or it might have been very different.
Yeah he actually began developing Breaking Bad while working on the final season of the X-Files knowing he would need another gig soon. If you're interested in hearing more of the crazy story of how Vince Gilligan got into television he did some great interviews ua-cam.com/play/PLAE02EA165851C87A.html&si=vQYz1VQC03nangeB
I foung Unhappily Ever After on TV in '96 when I was 16 and had just been in a bad bike accident. It caused a scar on my face from how hard it made me laff!
Wow, Thanks for Sharing
Wow, a rare video, I'm familiar with all 5 of them, and Alex Mack, 3rd Rock, and X-Files I have the full series on DVD. Only one I've not seen any episodes of was Strangers With Candy, but I knew about it due to commercials from shows dad taped off of Comedy Central. Didn't look like it would appeal to me though. And Nikki Cox, oh yeah, seeing those episodes on tape of Unhappily Ever After, and she was an early girl crush of mine. Not the first, but did help shaping me into realizing that I liked other women in a different kinda way. 😉 Anyways, enjoyed this video. Thank you for it.
Yeah I'm sure you weren't the only woman with a crush on Nikki Cox. Thanks for sharing.
I remember watching Alex Mack as a kid but didn’t remember much about it besides the premise. Saw a little bit of Third Rock from the Sun as a teenager.
Nice
@@TheReviewStudios keep up the good work dude! I’m a recent subscriber and you make great vids!
Thank you
Yet another amazing episode… unhappily ever after and Alex Mack were stored WAY in the back of my memories… I loved those shows. Thank you for bringing them back to the surface!
Memories... Thanks for coming back we appreciate it.
Loved Unhappily ever after. Watched it recently it was really funny. Plus it had a young Mila Kunis. This really needs to be on streaming or even on physical like dvd or blu-ray
Thanks for sharing. As a loyal viewer and a content creator would you like your channel featured on the end screen of this video?
3rd Rock from the Sun is my favorite sitcom, Strangers With Candy is my favorite Comedy Central show, and The X-Files is my second favorite sci-fi show (after the OG Twilight Zone). The 90's were an amazing time for entertainment.
So many great shows and movies.
No one was floppy after watching Nickie Cox !
I Wish I heard this line yesterday it would've definitely been in the video.
3rd rock from the sun was hilariously unhinged when u binged it for rhe first time last year. Loved rhe whole show abd was sad ir ended. Freakazoid was another show like that imo
it was thanks for sharing.
Larisa Oleynik was such a dream! She starred in both Alex Mack AND 3rd Rock From The Sun.
Absolutely, Thanks for sharing
3rd Rock is one of the best sitcoms ever
Absolutely hilarious. The show honesty deserves a stand alone video. Thanks for watching.
Unhappily Ever After was the only thing to watch on the WB.
I enjoyed the Wayan's Brothers, Steve Harvey, and once in a great while, the Parenthood.
Introduced me to Nikki Cox
Back then maybe. But after BTVS premiered, the network spawned plethora of great shows to watch.
@@JoePhillips1983 Me too but please no matter what do not look her up now
Strangers with candy is one of the funniest shows ever and still holds up
I still quote 3rd Rock From The Sun to this day!
Me too lol. Thanks for sharing
I remember, Alex Mack, X-files, Unhappily ever after, and 3rd rock from the sun.
Awesome! Thanks for sharing
The only show I haven't seen, but I do have on DVD, is 3rd Rock From the Sun. Everything else, I was a pretty devout watcher. The slow tragedy of Nikki Cox is depressing, she was obviously incredibly hot on the show, but drugs and plastic surgery have really ruined her. Still, I wish Unhappily had a legitimate DVD release.
Yeah, Who would have thought she'd end up like that. Thanks for sharing
What she did to herself always bums me out.
@@lPHOENIXZEROl Yeah. She also actually was a good actress. Now that's all gone to waste.
about 6 months ago i have rewatched unhappy ever after here on yt,
Awesome! Yeah Its still pretty funny now. I didn't re watch the entire series just the pilot and finale. Thanks for watching
Unhappily Ever After Is My Favorite Show Binged every episode In 2020 had a really good time one of the best things I've seen during Covid next to Stargirl and Swamp Thing
Awesome thanks for sharing
Third rock from the sun is so underrated
Absolutely, Thanks for watching.
A+ video!
LOVE IT! Awesome shows, I remember all of them!
Glad you enjoyed! thanks again
I remember Alex Mack and I really enjoyed it.
I can't believe Strangers With Candy is that old. It seems like yesterday that I saw it and thought it was weird.
Crazy right
Unhappily Ever After was a hilarious show.
Absolutely, and from the episodes I watched recently it still is. Thanks for watching.
I remember all these, except strangers with candy. The theme music to the X Files used to scare the crap outta me!!! I definitely remember unhappily ever after, but am shocked to discover that it ran for 5 reasons, as I seem to remember it being a very short-lived series. I especially remember the talking stuffed bunny on there, as he reminded me of ALF. I loved the secret world of Alex Mack, & have long wondered whatever became of Larisa Oleynyk. You forgot the journey of Allen Strange.
Yeah I don't remember watching Unhappily Ever After past the third season. Larisa most recently returned to Nickelodeon for the show "Erin and Aaron". Thanks for watching.
I hope they do more of these lists of weird shows from the 1990's, both good and bad. I grew up watching the shows the Secret world of Alex Mack and Unhappily ever after. Good shows for sure.
More to come soon. What show would you add to the list?
@TheReviewStudios The Adventures of Briscoe County Jr staring Bruce Campbell was one of my favorites as a kid. I also enjoyed Roc, In Living Color, and Walker: Texas Ranger.
As a suggestion, you can also do all the different shows that were on Fox during Friday nights that didn't last very long.
all great suggestions thank you.
@TheReviewStudios, one weird but very cool kid’s in the mid-90s was ReBoot, about characters who lived inside a computer, in a world called MainFrame. It was one of the very first fully computer animated TV shows, ahead of its time, along with Transformers: Beast Wars…I’m also thinking about how I thought at the time, 97ish, the ultra popular Dragonball Z was, when I first saw commercials for it as a kid. But eventually my curiosity won out and I became a big fan…although these days not really.
I loved 3rd Rock from the Sun! I also was had a huge crush on Larisa for years after I saw the premiere of Alex Mack.
Thanks for sharing
I liked 3rd Rock From The Sun and I have been rewatching it recently. I have never forgotten the intro music or especially the graphics as I had not seen graphics like that on a TV show before. Loved the X-Files too. The others I have not seen but I have heard of Alex Mack.
Yeah the intro music and transitions are forever burned into my mind.
Every single show you listed are bangers.
Absolutely thanks for watching
3rd Rock from The Sun is the best sitcom ever
Yay! My favourite series is back!
Believe it or not its my favorite as well. Thanks for watching.
We watched x files as a family despite it being responsible for many a childhood nightmare. We also watched 3rd rock from the sun and looking back there were a lot of jokes that went over my head lol. Red volvo lmao.
Yeah A lot of the jokes on 3rd Rock went over my head too.
Strangers With Candy is hands down one of the funniest, most creative, ahead of its time shows ever.
I remembered "3rd Rock from the Sun! " Very funny! I bought my mother two seasons of the series!😊
Awesome!
I loved 3rd Rock from the Sun so much I actually had a t-shirt with the title logo on it that I wore to school in 8th grade 🤦♂️
Awesome, Thanks for watching
the 90s were so weirdly awesome, best decade of movies and tv hands down
The Review, I LOVED all of these shows! Unhappily Ever After was a notch weirder than Married...With Children, and had the benefit of the glorious Nikki Cox.
However, you showed Wienerville in the beginning of the vid, and I was really hoping you'd touch on that a bit. Unless you have in an earlier edition and I just don't' remember.
No, I can't recall Weinerville being covered, & really hope it gets covered, in a future video. That was one of the first shows I remember seeing on Nickelodeon, when we first got satellite TV!!
To this day, I still remember the "Alex Mack wears a hat" commercial!
I remember the secret world of Alex mack always watched it when it came on snick was a really good show with a great premise. Also had the hugest crush on the girl that played Alex mack along with Topanga from boy meets world at the same time, too.
I can agree with all of that thanks
Amy Sedaris deserves much more recognition in the world of comedy. Her Letterman appearances are legendary in themselves.
Yeah I can agree with that. Thanks for watching.
The X-Files, to me, has to be one of the greatest shows that has ever been made. I have seen some episodes of Alex Mack, Unhappily Ever After and 3rd Rock from the Sun. I never did check out Strangers with Candy, but if I find it online, I would check it out.
When I was a teenager, I also had a crush on Larissa Oleynik. Great lists of shows.
Thank you so much.
Ive seen all of these shows at one time or another, I will say Alex Mack and Unhappily Ever After is underrated. I am suprised that 3rd Rock has somewhat been forgotten over time, despite its popularity when it first aired.
Thanks for sharing
My wife got Paramount+ to see what it’s like. It has all episodes of Strangers with Candy. I never watched it when it was out but now watching what they allowed on Comedy Central back then it’s so bizarre and I’m constantly laughing during every episode. It’s absolutely wild.
Awesome!
I watched Strangers w/Candy, 3rd Rock, and the X-Files. I was in grad school in the 90s, and we would have get-together to watch the X-Files at my place.
Awesome
My area never got the WB Network so I barely remember Unhappily Ever After. Far as the X-Files I was a huge fan as a teen in the 90's, but the reboot they really botched that one BIG TIME!!
yeah, that's probably the reason why I didn't even mention the reboot thanks for sharing.
@@TheReviewStudios Don't blame ya, as it falls right into the same camp as the Animaniacs reboot, which stars off okay, but then quickly falls off a jagged mountain cover in razor wire!!
watched and loved each of these shows. definitely were part of my pre teens
I'm a big 3rd Rock fan. Picked up the complete series on DVD a while ago. Just good nostalgia and good vibes.
3rd Rock from the Sun is so underrated.
yes!
Strangers With Candy is legendary!
It was also rare in the '90s for TV shows to be filmed in widescreen. The X-Files had the foresight to do this from the first season, which is awesome for rewatching nowadays.
Yeah dude this is basically my life right here watching Alex Mack, on a nostalgic one
Holy cow, I have a *vague* memory of that intro from Exit 57! @_@
I figured if anyone watched the series they would at least recognize the intro. thanks for watching.
3rd Rock was the only 90s show I watched start to finish, like Married...With Children which started in the 80s, most 90s shows I watched through reruns and not all in proper order. 90s were my 20s, I was rarely even at home, if I had a home, did a lot of couch surfing, lived in a tent among the bushes on Wreck Beach in Vancouver for the entire summers of 1991 and 1992 selling beer and weed and traveled back and forth between Vancouver, Winnipeg and Toronto 6 times between '94-'99. Watching television wasn't a big priority.
Got yhe DVD collection of Alex Mack from Best Buy a few years ago for around eight bucks. Show surprisingly still holds up. I like how genuine the parents were in that show.
I remember watching Unhappily Every After, and seeing Nikki Cox. I Instantly remembered she was in Terminator 2
Nice
I remember watching The Secret World of Alex Mack when I was a kid it's still excellent today. 😀👍
Thanks for sharing
@@TheReviewStudios your welcome. 😀👍
At the time, my schedule kept me from watching the X-Files (I've since gone back and watched the whole series a couple times) However I was able to catch what was essentially the Canadian version of X-Files called PSI Factor: Chronicles of the Paranormal. It aired in the middle of the night (around 2-3am). Created by the late Peter Aykroyd, and hosted by his Ghostbusting brother Dan. Fans of this channel would probably recognize the illustrious Matt Frewer who joined the cast in season two.
I loved “the X-Files” and “3rd Rock from the Sun”.
I am a huge fan of Strangers with Candy, think about that show all the time!
I use quotes from the show frequently!
Yeah I want to go back and watch the full series again, its hard to find streaming options aside from Paramount +
@@TheReviewStudios Mr. Jellineck's mixed messages are so funny!
3rd Rock From The Sun was amazing. I have fond memories of me & my mother watching it & laughing our asses off.
Definitely
I stumbled upon Unhappily Ever After years ago. I don't remember if I seen multiple episodes or just one. I don't remember anything from the show or even the name. Just learned about it watching this video. The only thing I remember was the theme song and the talking stuffed animal. Even though the show pops into my head every now and then, this opened up a core memory
The X-Files was everywhere back in the 90s. There was even a parody radio show adaptation that would air every weekday mornings on public radio stations. And I only knew about it because it would play on the school bus radio back in the day.
You're not alone buddy, I too had the biggest crush on Alex Mack when I was a kid and used to always be sure my VCR Plus was set to record it on Saturdays if I was gone somewhere with family, lol. Clarissa also was a big one for me. 😍😂
Edit- Oh yeah, and Scully. BIG TIME! Still one of my favorites and probably my favorite show ever.
Omgggg this is bringing me bck.... I watch all of these 😂
I loved 3rd Rock from the Sun! It was hilarious.
Yeah, I remember watching Alex Mack and I remember watching 3 rd rock from the sun and also the X-Files
Awesome
Always thought it was funny when the mom said “come on back” at the end of the into song
I wonder if this popped up in my recommended videos because I currently have a tab open of Alex Mack on internet archive lol
Could be! Thanks for checking us out and for commenting too!
I'm 41.i remember pretty all the shows of the 90s
Alex Mack was one of my first childhood crushes
The only one I don't remember was Unhappily Ever After. My mom loved 3rd Rock. Love the channel.
The Pilot is worth a watch I left a link in the description. Thank you for being a loyal viewer.
Alex Mack was one of my favorite shows as a kid.
I've seen 3 out of the 5, Unhappily Ever After, X-files, and 3rd Rock from the Sun. You can't find Unhappily anywhere but you can buy bootleg DVD.
Except for Unhappily Ever After and Strangers with Candy, I’ve seen the rest. Loved them too, especially Alex Mack and X-Files
Strangers With Candy is a real gem!
Ghostwriter needs to be on one of these episodes one day.
Third Rock from the Sun had a cast with so much chemistry with each other, it just made the whole show instantly watchable and lovable. Every single one of the 'aliens' was perfectly cast and portrayed and played off each other. The premise sounds silly (and it kinda is), but they just made it work. I watched it as a kid and thought it was only 'okay', at the time because the aliens didn't actually do any cool 'alien stuff', but upon rewatching it as an adult, I grew to appreciate it much more.
Alex Mack is the other way around, where I thought it was awesome when I was a kid and felt so relatable, due to all the normal teen stuff she still had to go through that every kid just empathizes with, but as an adult, I found it less enjoyable than I remember. One of those 'rose tinted glasses makes it seem better than it actually was' kinda things, I guess.
X-files was a classic at the time and is still a classic right. Still very watchable, suspenseful, superbly cast and acted and everything just sort of clicks into place. This, along with Star Trek: The Next Generation was my sci-fi fix when I was a kid. Scratched itches I didn't know I had until I started watching those.
TV was so good in the 90's, lol. I'll admit a lot of that is nostalgia fueled memories, but some of those still hold up to this day. X-files stands tall and proud among those.
Thanks for sharing. Yeah, I noticed how bad the acting was on Alex Mack after revisiting the series.
I would watch strangers with candy as like a 9 year old and I thought that was how high school was gonna be.
That's hilarious thanks
Lol
I've literally just finished a binge rewatch of 3rd Rock (last episode was yesterday). Really consistent show. Curtin was always my favourite, with Lithgow a close second. I still sometimes yell, "I'm gorgeous!" at my reflection (even though it's definitely not true 😂)
That's hilarious. Talk about good timing that's crazy.
My sister and I really liked 'Alex Mack'. It was cool and well done.
Adventures in Wonderland is a fever dream show thats actually pretty damn funny. Some of the music stays in your head, too.
I never knew why Alex Mack didn’t last great show.
Alex Mack was great, loved that show, I even own the series on DVD.
I remember Alex Mack, and like you, I may have had a crush on Larisa. 3rd rock was brilliant. The scenarios were hilarious, the writing was brilliant, and the actors were great. IFC had a block of them, my dad and I watched a handful of episodes a couple years ago, it still holds up. Hilarious show.
Yeah 3rd Rock definitely holds up
i was 11 when alex mack came out and had the biggest crush ever on her. i used to watch that show so dang much. solid show! i haven't seen it since back then. maybe i should find some and watch it.
I left a link to stream free
I never watched X-Files, I was more into Star Trek and Sliders. Sliders was a great show that nose dived after half the cast left.
Wow, Sliders I forgot all about that one
I definitely had a crush on Alex Mack
