I kinda noticed that these three embody a bit of a theme of the glorification of the past and future. We very often see stories of the past that always end well and show things like cowboys saving towns, knights protecting the innocent, or soldiers fighting in old wars. Same with the future, sure there are some dark things, but a lot have amazing space travel and great technology. Meanwhile we always think that the present is the part that is not only bad, but uninteresting and boring. Hence, cyclizar is the normal looking one compared to the glorious past and awe inspiring future

I thought that too, and it’s true of both miraidon and koraidon’s names. But it took me a while to realize, paldea is based on Spain right? And Don is a Spanish honorific, originally derived from Latin “dominus”; lord, master. So their names are potentially a FOUR way portmanteau if you think about it!!
Something that I like about Cyclizar is that it makes seeing multiple Koraidons and Miraidons possible instead of an impossibility we'd just have to accept during multi-player co-op. It helps it fit better into the world.
@@yes78 refer back to Solgaleo, Lunala, both forms of Urshifu, Deoxys and all the Ultra Beasts who are considered “legendary.” Oh yeah, also the legendary birds from Gen 1 who are basically confirmed to have more than one of their species as shown by their variants in Galar. Same with the Regis showing up in their own shrines in multiple places all over the world.
Using the ancestor/descendant theory, I think it’d be neat if Miraidon was like a Genesect situation; maybe scientists thought Cyclizar needed a boost to survive in the ‘modern’ (future) age, or they only had the critical parts and filled in others - like the legs and tail, and perhaps the longer neck

My money is on it being the modern form of Koraidon/Moraidon since we can expect them to be Paradox forms. Some people are saying it'll be a Nebby situation but.. I don't see that being the case. Edit: Riddler Khu has confirmed that it is indeed the present version with Koraidon being Past and Miraidon being Future. It is NOT a baby.

This was my thoughts exactly. Before this Pokemon was announced my theory was Koraidon was an extinct or present Pokemon and Miraidon was a futuristic man-made Pokemon based on it. But now this seems to make the most since. Nebby would just be wierd considering the themes of this generations games.

the new move have pretty high chance to be straight banned in competitive single. it's really going to depend on which pokemon get it (some people are saying slowbros is a good candidate and boy, if a slow pivot with regenerator like slowbros get it, it's instant uber lol)
They’re probably gonna give it trash stats in an attempt to balance it like a lot of the other recent Pokémon with signature moves and abilities from Gen 7 and 8. But I hope they actually give it good stats because it seems like they went overboard with trying to balance the recent Pokémon to the point where they become nearly useless by comparison.
I'm going to guess that the legendaries are evolutions, but the method of evolution is so rare that you only get 1 chance that will most likely be story and version related. Perhaps sometime (probably early) in the story you will gain access to an unknown stone or situation that will allow you to evolve your common Cyclizar into a legendary. Maybe the treasure in the so called treasure hunt that we know about is what causes this evolution?

I like this take. If the suffix “-don” means “tooth”, then Koraidon/Miraidon could be interpreted as “past/future - tooth”. A fang containing temporal energy that allows Cyclizar to change into a past/future version of itself by going through a time portal while holding it would not be the weirdest thing in Pokemon, honestly.
Cyclizar has a gender and I know it hasn't necessarily been confirmed that Koraidon and Miraidon will be genderless but all the main box-art legendary Pokemon have been genderless so it's a reasonable presumption. So it seems that it may be a Carbink and Diancie situation. Edit: this may be something completely different, maybe something we've never seen before

honestly, i think the connection cyclizar has with the legendaries is kind of like the relationship between Diancie and Carbink, where they dont evolve into legendaries, but theyre basically a legandary variation on the same species. In this case, both the legendaries are probably past and future versions of cyclizar that the main villain group want to bring back so they can have the fastest bikes in the region, because cyclizar is basically the default bike that everyone has
I actually think that Cyclizar will be what we get at the beginning at the game rather than the legendary and the pokemon eventually evolves into the legendary. It's still exploring the region with your legendary even if they're not evolved yet
Okay, here me out . . . If the big vortex thing in the middle of the map is in fact a time portal, like many have theorized, the Cyclizar in your party will evolve as a direct result of passing through said vortex. Thus being a plot-related moment for you to get the legendary, while also providing you the end-of-game upgrade to your cycle.

I Think it will be a situation like Kubfu that you need to do something to somehow get a "rare" evolution from a common Pokémon. A bit like Rockruff dusk form from the series. A common Pokémon with a "rare" evolution.
I think the theory that Koraidon and Miraidon are the ancestor/descendant of Cyclizar is the most interesting, and may be the most likely if the leaks are correct. I’d love to know more about the box legends’ role in the story. For example, maybe students at your academy are expected to own Cyclizar of their own, but through chance the protagonist encounters and befriends Korai/Miraidon instead, and goes on a journey to investigate where they came from.

I would argue back against the "One of each legendary" rule just due to the lore associated with Hoopa and the G7 Legendaries... each of them being able to open up wormholes/portals to other worlds and alternate realities There are also shiny legendaries who appear in the anime as well which indicates that they aren't the same as the non-shiny ones While it is possible for each "universe" to have 1 of every legendary the walls between these parallel universes are paper thin and it would not be uncommon for them to pop up in other worlds
"I honestly wonder if they would do this again." It's Game Freak, reusing content is kind of their bread and butter at this point. What this likely means, is that we'll get Cyclizar early on; but it won't evolve until you hit a certain story event.
That wouldn't make sense if Cyclizar can just...evolve into this super powerful high tech flying robot. It's stated that these guys are very commonly used throughout the region. Legendaries aren't exactly common... If simply evolving a cycllizar into a koraidon was the case, there would be tons of them running around the region and they wouldn't exactly be "legendary" anymore, you know? It's probably a Diance situation. There has to be more than "Oh, it'll just evolve into the legendary later on hehe" It was new and unique with Cosmog, no way they're doing it again (with a box legend).

The explanation will probably be that "in the past it could evolve freely, but something happened that changed their evolution method' or something. Also, I wouldn't say 'there's no way they'd do that.' Remember when they were asked if the Exp Share could be turned off, and they responded "that Item doesn't exist." Only for it to be an item that couldn't be turned off? Never give big Companies benefit of the doubt, or they will push it.
they kinda are. but they could fit in with something coming spoiler alert we getting something called paradox forms like past and future but those forms aren't descendants or ancestors so they aren't really evolutions. they have travelled through time so maybe we travelling through time to a whole new place to get cool items and paradox forms like koraidon and miraidon. itd be cool and will greatly increase exploration in a game that seems to focus around travelling, exploring the world

at least for a while means until the moves get banned. its literally giving substitute to your sweepers without them having to use it themselves. ill put the lowest speed possible so that i can move last, invest all in defenssive stats and throw a status move just to make it easier.
I think Cyclizar evolves into the 2 legendries the same way that it theorized how the first 3 eveelutions evolved into the 3 beasts of Johto. I would say think about it as more the people in the game see it as a legend that a great pokemon trainer with a lot of skill can evolve Cyclizar but no one knows for sure as it has not happened in so long.
My theory is Koraidon and Miraidon are both man-made Pokémon in a similar vein to Mewtwo. Somebody took the DNA of Cyclizar and revamped it to make new Pokémon. It would make sense to the lore of Cyclizar being this rideable Pokémon commonly used in the Paldea region. Somebody decided that Cyclizar is great, but it could be faster and stronger, so they used Cyclizar's DNA as a base to create new Pokémon. It could even be Professors Sada and Turo who created them. Sada's design and color scheme is very similar to Koraidon's and the same goes with Turo in respect to Miraidon. Maybe Sada created Koraidon to represent cultural traditions whereas Turo created Miraidon to represent technological advancements.
They’re related as one is a distant past/future version of the other. Also, Koraidon/Miraidon are the only paradox mons that have more standard classification.
On the topic of multiple legendaries in canon, I’d argue Zacian and Zamazenta qualify too. The Crowned forms are most likely unique to the duo we see in Galar, but with the implication that they’re brother and sister, and Sonia mentioning that they were born outside of Galar before coming to the Slumbering Weald, it opens up the possibility that there are more of them out there in their standard forms.
Maybe cyclizar is a common pokemon with a hidden evolution (depending on each game you might find clues from the past/future) and you need to do special task including the gym challenges to get an item to evolve it, like you become champion and then something like a time travel portal or something gives you the item for being worthy of its power
I think cyclical being a pre-evolution of these legendaries will make it feel like only OUR player character can evolve this seemingly regular Pokémon. I might be wrong but that would be fun, in my opinion, making you the player feel more “unique” and “special”
Could be something similar to a stone evolution, where you find a one of a kind evolution item on the treasure hunt and that’s why you’re the only one to get them.
I don't think that's what they're going for and that's not really what I want too. This game feels like it wants the player to be connected to the world and the player is just a normal character just like the rest so I hope they make this synergize even more by making battles tough as shit

Koraidon and Miraidon are almost definitely Paradox past and future variants of it. That’s the big new thing in these games from the leaks. The more I thought about it, the more obvious it got. and this goes hand-in-hand with Riddler’s riddle that the 2 legendaries are connected indirectly. And FYI Paradox Pokémon aren’t forms, they are their own Pokémon despite greatly resembling the Pokémon it is the past or future variant of.
All of y'all complaining in these comments like Cyclizar isn't one of the cutest new Pokemon in this gen. Gen 9 really is a return to form when it comes to pokemon designs imo, too many mons from gens 6-8 were over-designed and had muddled or uninteresting inspiration, these new ones have simple yet striking designs with very clear theming and inspiration, and Cyclizar is one of my favorite examples. I wasn't expecting to use it in my playthrough but I went for it and was not disappointed at all. It feels like a truly domesticized pokemon which is a cool idea for a dragon type. I also love that the new legendaries aren't just big dumb monsters what show up at the very end and only exist to be caught, you build a bond with them throughout the game and they have a lot of personality and charm. I wasnt sure how I felt about their designs at first but after playing the game I can say these are some of my favorite legendaries since B/W. They really went for something different and I appreciate that a lot, it feels like some pokemon fans just want more of the same but I think this game is a huge breath of fresh air for the series, minus the bugs and performance issues, which are a real shame.
I hope we can catch and ride wild Cyclizar as a substitute for the box legends. It'd be kinda lame if they forced us to use the box legend when we see everyone else able to ride Cyclizar in game.

I think we will be interacting with some sort of time paradox energy throughout the region, and the more of it out Cyclizar gets exposed to, the more it turns into the box legend. But I also think it won't be a Cyclizar for very long. Probably only up until the game becomes open world.

Here’s my theory: cyclizar is a common mon that has legendary evolution, where you would have to either embrace traditional or embrace progress and it would give you a special item to evolve cyclizar
I really like the idea of the legendaries being less special and more numerous than there only being one in existence. Even if you're the only one to have one in game, as long as there is an explanation as to why multiple may canonically exist I'll be happy. I also hope they aren't completely broken 700+ base stat total monsters. It'd be cool to have box legends that were a bit more in line with regular pokemon for a change.
I think Koraidon and Miraidon are going to be versions of Cyclizor that have been experimented on which led to their creation, by the two unique characters for their respective games. The futuristic professor creating Miraidon in Violet, and the tribal professor creating Koraidon in Scarlett.
Notice how Solgaleo and Lunala are both space related Pokemon and Koraidon and Miraidon are both time related. Space and time. Hmmmm... this could be a stretch but what if they're all sub legendaries to both Dialga and Palkia, or somewhat related to them. That could be the reason why there are multiple gen 7 legends, and possibly gen 9 legends

The thing with Miraidon is that it feels WAY too artificial-looking to have evolved from Cyclizar. I believe Miraidon is a prototype for a new mode of transportation based off of Cyclizar (the same way humans look towards nature for inspiration on modern tech), and the fact that its a prototype is what makes it so rare or "legendary."
TCG pretty much reveal Cyclizar is not a pre-evo so it’s like that this little lizard is the descendant of Korridon and the ancestor of Mirridon. I don’t know if you fellow the leaks but just in case I won’t spoil it.

Speculative pokemon evolution? No seriously, considering natural evolution, Cyclizar COULD be the only KNOWN descendent of Koraidon, and when you take into consideration that Miraidon is from the future, I would not be surprised if Miraidon is the cybernetically enhanced version of Cyclizar, which takes inspiration from its prehistoric ancestor species. And yes, I'm a 🤓
It should be noted that while there were multiple Solgaleo and Lunala... that's mostly because they come from different dimensions... and aren't native to the main Poke'world... So the Legendary Pokemon are often unique in the main world, but in the Poke'Multiverse, they are many...
I feel like it could be a Suicune, Entei, and Raikou situation. The two legendaries were once normal Cyclizar, but those two specifically were granted some special blessing or power that caused them to essentially become new Pokémon.
I think the crystals in the Paldea region will play a key role with this Pokemon. There will probably be a crystal that holds the power of the future whereas the other, the past. Obviously the crystal you choose will determine the evolution of Cyclizar.
I miss the old classic bikes, they made u feel like a young child going on a big adventure, almost a nostalgic feeling. The pokemon being bikes just looks so incredibly goofy tho.

I think it’s funny how, if we accept the past/present/future angle. That technically means that Koraidon evolved into Cyclizar who then evolved into Miraidon
Well if you think about it, In the past Cyclizar could still evolve into Koraidon in the past, and because of everything that has happened in the world the last hundred years (if we are saying it’s a few hundred years before) it evolves into Miraidon but no longer can it evolve into Koraidon
So glad you are talking about this! I had so many _more_ questions with this reveal, but we just don't have any answers yet. I like Cyclizar being their shared evolution somehow, or at least in a symbolic kinda way. No way they aren't linked, and I'm itching to figure out how! And also how exactly Mirai/Koraidon fit into the storyline, because I just sorta thought they were just "there" and have been because that's the nature of things - not that they were a more "recent" addition to Paldea, and even why and how.
Some kind of mutation is my guess! Diance and Carbink is the best I can think of as well, and I can easily see us starting with one and have some "accident" happen with Terastal that changes our Cyclizar and lets us have the coolest bike in Paldea. Whatever it is, the amount of questions in the air hypes me up even more! As silent as they are, the marketing is working on me! PS: that's a mighty thicc thumbnail border!
My guess is that we start out with a Cyclizar and as we progress thru the game it gets better at traversing and eventually becomes either Koraidon or Miraidon. Maybe Cyclizar can't handle flying at first and then after some story it can fly and we unlock lots more places (kinda like how we can't leave the Great Plateau in botw at the start) so that there's still a feeling of progression within the open world (maybe there won't be hard limits but just make it faster and easier to traverse like how we get Revali's Gale)
I just thought of something: maybe Koraidon is a more primal and wild form of Cyclizar, like Wolves compared to Dogs, and selective breeding to get more easily tameable versions resulted in Cyclizar while other natural events significantly reduced the Koraidon population. Meanwhile, Miraidon could be the result of scientific attempts to create a "superior" version of Cyclizar, and because of either budget constraints or protests the project was cancelled, leaving only a few Miraidon ever created.
Honestly I’m just more excited to see what made these Pokémon come to the present time. And it seems to be that we’re going to meet them very early on since I don’t think game freak is really going to let us walk in the wild area.

Something that I like about Cyclizar is that it makes seeing multiple Koraidons and Miraidons possible instead of an impossibility we'd just have to accept during multi-player co-op. It helps it fit better into the world.

Using the ancestor/descendant theory, I think it’d be neat if Miraidon was like a Genesect situation; maybe scientists thought Cyclizar needed a boost to survive in the ‘modern’ (future) age, or they only had the critical parts and filled in others - like the legs and tail, and perhaps the longer neck

My money is on it being the modern form of Koraidon/Moraidon since we can expect them to be Paradox forms. Some people are saying it'll be a Nebby situation but.. I don't see that being the case.

This was my thoughts exactly. Before this Pokemon was announced my theory was Koraidon was an extinct or present Pokemon and Miraidon was a futuristic man-made Pokemon based on it. But now this seems to make the most since. Nebby would just be wierd considering the themes of this generations games.

Miraidon is the far-future version, being completely optimised for riding and has massive enhancements including jets, fold-in arms and handlebars as body parts

I'm going to guess that the legendaries are evolutions, but the method of evolution is so rare that you only get 1 chance that will most likely be story and version related. Perhaps sometime (probably early) in the story you will gain access to an unknown stone or situation that will allow you to evolve your common Cyclizar into a legendary. Maybe the treasure in the so called treasure hunt that we know about is what causes this evolution?

I like this take. If the suffix “-don” means “tooth”, then Koraidon/Miraidon could be interpreted as “past/future - tooth”. A fang containing temporal energy that allows Cyclizar to change into a past/future version of itself by going through a time portal while holding it would not be the weirdest thing in Pokemon, honestly.
Cyclizar has a gender and I know it hasn't necessarily been confirmed that Koraidon and Miraidon will be genderless but all the main box-art legendary Pokemon have been genderless so it's a reasonable presumption. So it seems that it may be a Carbink and Diancie situation.

honestly, i think the connection cyclizar has with the legendaries is kind of like the relationship between Diancie and Carbink, where they dont evolve into legendaries, but theyre basically a legandary variation on the same species. In this case, both the legendaries are probably past and future versions of cyclizar that the main villain group want to bring back so they can have the fastest bikes in the region, because cyclizar is basically the default bike that everyone has
I actually think that Cyclizar will be what we get at the beginning at the game rather than the legendary and the pokemon eventually evolves into the legendary. It's still exploring the region with your legendary even if they're not evolved yet

Okay, here me out . . . If the big vortex thing in the middle of the map is in fact a time portal, like many have theorized, the Cyclizar in your party will evolve as a direct result of passing through said vortex. Thus being a plot-related moment for you to get the legendary, while also providing you the end-of-game upgrade to your cycle.
I hope its something along that line, would be lame if you just get the legendary at the start.

I Think it will be a situation like Kubfu that you need to do something to somehow get a "rare" evolution from a common Pokémon. A bit like Rockruff dusk form from the series. A common Pokémon with a "rare" evolution.
I think the theory that Koraidon and Miraidon are the ancestor/descendant of Cyclizar is the most interesting, and may be the most likely if the leaks are correct.
I’d love to know more about the box legends’ role in the story. For example, maybe students at your academy are expected to own Cyclizar of their own, but through chance the protagonist encounters and befriends Korai/Miraidon instead, and goes on a journey to investigate where they came from.

I would argue back against the "One of each legendary" rule just due to the lore associated with Hoopa and the G7 Legendaries... each of them being able to open up wormholes/portals to other worlds and alternate realities
There are also shiny legendaries who appear in the anime as well which indicates that they aren't the same as the non-shiny ones
While it is possible for each "universe" to have 1 of every legendary the walls between these parallel universes are paper thin and it would not be uncommon for them to pop up in other worlds

It's Game Freak, reusing content is kind of their bread and butter at this point. What this likely means, is that we'll get Cyclizar early on; but it won't evolve until you hit a certain story event.
That wouldn't make sense if Cyclizar can just...evolve into this super powerful high tech flying robot. It's stated that these guys are very commonly used throughout the region. Legendaries aren't exactly common...
If simply evolving a cycllizar into a koraidon was the case, there would be tons of them running around the region and they wouldn't exactly be "legendary" anymore, you know?

The explanation will probably be that "in the past it could evolve freely, but something happened that changed their evolution method' or something.
Also, I wouldn't say 'there's no way they'd do that.' Remember when they were asked if the Exp Share could be turned off, and they responded "that Item doesn't exist." Only for it to be an item that couldn't be turned off? Never give big Companies benefit of the doubt, or they will push it.

at least for a while means until the moves get banned. its literally giving substitute to your sweepers without them having to use it themselves. ill put the lowest speed possible so that i can move last, invest all in defenssive stats and throw a status move just to make it easier.
It looks like it cuts down 50% of your hp instead of 25%, so it could be a little riskier, especially if you move after your opponent.

I think Cyclizar evolves into the 2 legendries the same way that it theorized how the first 3 eveelutions evolved into the 3 beasts of Johto. I would say think about it as more the people in the game see it as a legend that a great pokemon trainer with a lot of skill can evolve Cyclizar but no one knows for sure as it has not happened in so long.
My theory is Koraidon and Miraidon are both man-made Pokémon in a similar vein to Mewtwo. Somebody took the DNA of Cyclizar and revamped it to make new Pokémon. It would make sense to the lore of Cyclizar being this rideable Pokémon commonly used in the Paldea region. Somebody decided that Cyclizar is great, but it could be faster and stronger, so they used Cyclizar's DNA as a base to create new Pokémon. It could even be Professors Sada and Turo who created them. Sada's design and color scheme is very similar to Koraidon's and the same goes with Turo in respect to Miraidon. Maybe Sada created Koraidon to represent cultural traditions whereas Turo created Miraidon to represent technological advancements.

On the topic of multiple legendaries in canon, I’d argue Zacian and Zamazenta qualify too. The Crowned forms are most likely unique to the duo we see in Galar, but with the implication that they’re brother and sister, and Sonia mentioning that they were born outside of Galar before coming to the Slumbering Weald, it opens up the possibility that there are more of them out there in their standard forms.
Maybe cyclizar is a common pokemon with a hidden evolution (depending on each game you might find clues from the past/future) and you need to do special task including the gym challenges to get an item to evolve it, like you become champion and then something like a time travel portal or something gives you the item for being worthy of its power
I think cyclical being a pre-evolution of these legendaries will make it feel like only OUR player character can evolve this seemingly regular Pokémon. I might be wrong but that would be fun, in my opinion, making you the player feel more “unique” and “special”
Could be something similar to a stone evolution, where you find a one of a kind evolution item on the treasure hunt and that’s why you’re the only one to get them.
I don't think that's what they're going for and that's not really what I want too. This game feels like it wants the player to be connected to the world and the player is just a normal character just like the rest so I hope they make this synergize even more by making battles tough as shit

Koraidon and Miraidon are almost definitely Paradox past and future variants of it. That’s the big new thing in these games from the leaks. The more I thought about it, the more obvious it got. and this goes hand-in-hand with Riddler’s riddle that the 2 legendaries are connected indirectly. And FYI Paradox Pokémon aren’t forms, they are their own Pokémon despite greatly resembling the Pokémon it is the past or future variant of.
All of y'all complaining in these comments like Cyclizar isn't one of the cutest new Pokemon in this gen. Gen 9 really is a return to form when it comes to pokemon designs imo, too many mons from gens 6-8 were over-designed and had muddled or uninteresting inspiration, these new ones have simple yet striking designs with very clear theming and inspiration, and Cyclizar is one of my favorite examples. I wasn't expecting to use it in my playthrough but I went for it and was not disappointed at all. It feels like a truly domesticized pokemon which is a cool idea for a dragon type. I also love that the new legendaries aren't just big dumb monsters what show up at the very end and only exist to be caught, you build a bond with them throughout the game and they have a lot of personality and charm. I wasnt sure how I felt about their designs at first but after playing the game I can say these are some of my favorite legendaries since B/W. They really went for something different and I appreciate that a lot, it feels like some pokemon fans just want more of the same but I think this game is a huge breath of fresh air for the series, minus the bugs and performance issues, which are a real shame.
I hope we can catch and ride wild Cyclizar as a substitute for the box legends.
It'd be kinda lame if they forced us to use the box legend when we see everyone else able to ride Cyclizar in game.

I think we will be interacting with some sort of time paradox energy throughout the region, and the more of it out Cyclizar gets exposed to, the more it turns into the box legend.

I really like the idea of the legendaries being less special and more numerous than there only being one in existence. Even if you're the only one to have one in game, as long as there is an explanation as to why multiple may canonically exist I'll be happy.
I also hope they aren't completely broken 700+ base stat total monsters. It'd be cool to have box legends that were a bit more in line with regular pokemon for a change.

I think Koraidon and Miraidon are going to be versions of Cyclizor that have been experimented on which led to their creation, by the two unique characters for their respective games.
The futuristic professor creating Miraidon in Violet, and the tribal professor creating Koraidon in Scarlett.
Fun fact: the people in thgames don't ride the cyclizar. They just sit on them. You never see one person riding one. Not even in a cutscene.

The thing with Miraidon is that it feels WAY too artificial-looking to have evolved from Cyclizar. I believe Miraidon is a prototype for a new mode of transportation based off of Cyclizar (the same way humans look towards nature for inspiration on modern tech), and the fact that its a prototype is what makes it so rare or "legendary."
It may be a cyborg that had to be like that because of serious ills, like Anakin turning into Darth Vader.

No seriously, considering natural evolution, Cyclizar COULD be the only KNOWN descendent of Koraidon, and when you take into consideration that Miraidon is from the future, I would not be surprised if Miraidon is the cybernetically enhanced version of Cyclizar, which takes inspiration from its prehistoric ancestor species.

It should be noted that while there were multiple Solgaleo and Lunala... that's mostly because they come from different dimensions... and aren't native to the main Poke'world...

My idea is that you’ll need something incredibly rare to evolve Cyclizar. (Ex. Rare ores, potions of sorts, defeating a high number of Pokémon)
I feel like it could be a Suicune, Entei, and Raikou situation. The two legendaries were once normal Cyclizar, but those two specifically were granted some special blessing or power that caused them to essentially become new Pokémon.

I think the crystals in the Paldea region will play a key role with this Pokemon. There will probably be a crystal that holds the power of the future whereas the other, the past. Obviously the crystal you choose will determine the evolution of Cyclizar.
I miss the old classic bikes, they made u feel like a young child going on a big adventure, almost a nostalgic feeling. The pokemon being bikes just looks so incredibly goofy tho.

I like Cyclizar being their shared evolution somehow, or at least in a symbolic kinda way. No way they aren't linked, and I'm itching to figure out how! And also how exactly Mirai/Koraidon fit into the storyline, because I just sorta thought they were just "there" and have been because that's the nature of things - not that they were a more "recent" addition to Paldea, and even why and how.
Are there going to be more Dragon type Pokemon that will look like a motor bike just like Koraidon and Miraidon?
I was telling someone after seeing the game trailer that the legendaries reminded me of yu-gi-oh 5D's.

100% Koraidon is from the past and Miraidon is from the future. In Japanese, Korai means the very distant past, and Mirai means the future.
It is mentioned ingame that Koraidon is propably the prehistoric form of Cyclizar,

Some kind of mutation is my guess! Diance and Carbink is the best I can think of as well, and I can easily see us starting with one and have some "accident" happen with Terastal that changes our Cyclizar and lets us have the coolest bike in Paldea. Whatever it is, the amount of questions in the air hypes me up even more! As silent as they are, the marketing is working on me!

My guess is that we start out with a Cyclizar and as we progress thru the game it gets better at traversing and eventually becomes either Koraidon or Miraidon. Maybe Cyclizar can't handle flying at first and then after some story it can fly and we unlock lots more places (kinda like how we can't leave the Great Plateau in botw at the start) so that there's still a feeling of progression within the open world (maybe there won't be hard limits but just make it faster and easier to traverse like how we get Revali's Gale)

I just thought of something: maybe Koraidon is a more primal and wild form of Cyclizar, like Wolves compared to Dogs, and selective breeding to get more easily tameable versions resulted in Cyclizar while other natural events significantly reduced the Koraidon population. Meanwhile, Miraidon could be the result of scientific attempts to create a "superior" version of Cyclizar, and because of either budget constraints or protests the project was cancelled, leaving only a few Miraidon ever created.
Honestly I’m just more excited to see what made these Pokémon come to the present time. And it seems to be that we’re going to meet them very early on since I don’t think game freak is really going to let us walk in the wild area.
