I've lost 100 lbs so far from fasting and slipped a bit during the Christmas Holiday. I could even feel myself slipping into a depression. I was severely depressed for a very long time until I started doing extended fasts so it scared me feeling that it was happening again so I went back on an extended fast of 96 hours and also am working out and within a 24 hour period my depression disappeared. I'm at 77 hours right now. I get to eat tomorrow. YAY!!!
Diane, congratulations🎉 I’d also like to recommend you look into Magnesium L-threonate. This along with a fasting protocol will help keep that depression away. It’s also an amazing magnesium. Wishing you continued success on your wellness journey.
Please check your vit. D3 levels, as that is a huge factor in depression and overall mental health. (Should be above 70 for mental health.) Look into the research. Meanwhile, hang in there! 🙌🏼
@@GallivantingGrandma I'm actually good. The fasting obliterated my feelings of depression. I take magnesium oil ultra by Ancient Minerals and it is one amazing product!
For me the solution is 3*36hr fasts per week and no alcohol. No way could I do what you do with the 90+hr gigs. You're the boss when it comes to this fasting stuff!!
January is my 6 day fast & eat Sundays goal. I will switch it up February to rolling 96. I'm shocking myself.. I use to struggle doing rolling 72s but it's true..once you get pass the first few days.. the hunger eases. *I'm my own experiment 😅
🌟✨Rolling 72 hour fasts is my minimum, with one day eating in between! I previously lost 200+ pounds doing 7 day fasts with a couple days refeed in between, (I still had about 75 pounds to lose). Then I stopped fasting for a good amount of time (like 3 years) and have gained back about 45 pounds. I started rolling 72's about a year ago and lost about 20 pounds, but was fighting through a depression, and only managed to last 2 months and gained back the 20 pounds. But I'm feeling much better this time around (I'm 51 years old now), and I know I'm going to reach my goal. Edit to say, your videos are always so encouraging, and I'm glad you're back! 💛✨🌟
I believe my fasting hour number is 44 hours with eating straight carnivore and an eating window of 20 minutes to 2 hours, but when I fast over 60 hours I have larger drops of course. It's all been very enjoyable and I'm feeling great. I'm currently 41 years old and my height is 6'1"
Great job sir, I have been watching your channel for many years I was super excited when I saw you started posting again. My fitness and wellness journey started on October 15,I was over 260lbs. I have been eating carnivore and fasting between 44-117 hours in between meals, currently weighing in at 207.7 lbs, been loving this journey and looking forward to the transformation. Cheers man!!!
My goal is to consistently work up to ADF I guess I have to commit to me rather than the people who say they are going to fast with me. Gonna make this work I didn't learn about fasting until 2020 and I have lost 65lbs and kept it off. Got comfortable and now back in the game for me first then my friends.
Hi Jerome. Glad your back. Wondered what happeend to you. I was scrolling through my feeds and saw you. Lol i was like hes back 😅 I put you i one of my videos on my Carnivore Lite Show channel. It was my first video on there. lol Ive been stalling on my weight loss. Then I saw you again. Might be a sign. Lol Ive watched lots of your videos lol You inspired me to start back up again on my other channel. Going to add fasting into my channel name now after watching your new vids lol 😆 Going to try a 80 hr fast or so next week from monday 15th to friday 19th and see if I can start other channel back up.
I've been rolling 72-90 hour Dry Fasts, then breaking with water, and repeating. After a few rotations of this, I'll start bringing in food in place of water in a 2-hr feeding window. I'm focusing on some serious health issues and looking forward to feeling better in my body.
Rolling 72 & 48, alternating weeks, I also run 10 miles 5 times a week. Other days, 2 meals a day. I also complete 1 36-hour dry fast per week. Thanks for the info🙏🏾
I’ve started on a back to back rolling 72 hour fasting routine. Start Sunday afternoon and fast until Wednesday, eat a meal and fast until Saturday and do omad Saturday and Sunday and start the rolling 72s Sunday night.
I’ve done various lengths and find that anything past 80+ makes me feel my best with exercise included. By day 3, my body feels pretty depleted when working out but doable. The biggest factor is consistency like you said. I let myself relax too much during Christmas and New Year but feeling better again now that I’ve gotten back into fasting. Can’t wait to eat, lol. Currently on an 84 after finishing a 59 and planning on jumping into a 120 afterwards. Varies based on my personal schedule.
Thank you so much for the beneficial info as usual Jerome! Still trying to figure out my number but thinking its between 72-84 hrs. Love your content...keep em coming and congrats on your success thus far 💪🏾💕!!
Posting here because you motivate me so much! I am currently at 89 hours fasted. Fasting until 1/20 (Saturday). Breaking my fast then, and will continue on fasting for another week. My goal is to hit 125 this month. I went off the rails for a week or so the first week of January, but that was actually intentional. I am currently at 137 this morning after hitting 131.1 at the end of December, so I have some catching up to do.
Your videos are so awesome. Just found u and binge watching your videos. Thank u for your words. I did a 3 day fast after watching your video. Could only do 2 days befor. Keep uploading please😊
I'm going to experiment with, dry fast, water fast, eat, Dry fast, water fast, eat, eat. And see how that works for me. I'll start next week once my period starts. Doing OMAD or juice fast til it starts. I just got back from my bday vacation,so late but it's fine
Not really sure what my fasting number is. Doing some experimenting though. I find each fast is different. I was trying for a 5 day fast, but only made it 60 hours. Broke my fast, but back at it right after I ate (one hour eating window). Going to go for 4 days and see how I do.
I think my fasting number is every 24. I eat only in the 12p-6p window, but lately it's 3p-6p. I find that I need to workout 6 days a week otherwise I will not do it. Workouts make me hungry, so I eat a cup of grilled chicken breast to get me protein after a workout ( not a protein shake). Along with a cup of homemade vegetable soup. I want to try this every other day. So I'll workout btwn 3p-5p, then eat before 6p. Then the next day not eat at all, then repeat.
I had the same problem, and for me, it had mostly to do with me having apple cider vinegar when I was eating. I stopped the vinegar and it went away. So, it might have to do with what you’re eating when you do eat. Dr. Jason Fung, from The Fasting Method, talks about acid reflux during fasting, as well. He mentions it being due to excess fat, and once that fat goes down, the reflux disappears.
Can you give me an idea of how long I should fast, I am female, 75 in good shape been told the other day I look like I am in my early 60's though my 54 yr. old daughter wasn't thrilled when the girl at the register said boy you two can't deny you are sisters, and my daughter looked over to see who they were talking about and said my God thats my mother not my sister, they all laughed except her and I just gave them the thumbs up, that being said, I have no problem fasting 5 days if I have to, but I work on the computer all day, get no exercise, but I want to lose 30 lbs, maybe 40 that may be pushing it but how long should I fast to lose weight, I eat mostly a carnivore diet, I would say my calories daily may be 2800 or a little more, but I am not losing weight fasting 24 hours , at the end of 48 hrs. I get into ketosis lightly. I just have no idea if I am consistent if I will lose doing 48 hrs fast.
You really have to experiment and see what works for you. I think that's what Jerome is expressing in this video. It's going to be trial and error for a bit and seeing how many hours you can do and still lose weight.
Hi I am doing 92h fast it's my first week still trying to see what works for me. Is it normal for the scale not to move at all in some days I have done long fast before and the scale would move everyday an now nothing. My starting weight was 75.3kg on 2 Jan and now I'm at 72.6kg since yesterday morning my goal weight 60kg
Do you drink your electrolytes or do you put the mix on your tongue throughout the day plz? I find trying to drink it the after taste makes me feel bit nauseous. :( still trying to work out my aha number of hours x
It seems i know more about what im not supposed to do, than what I am supposed to do lol. I do know some things...I know that I need to be at least at 30 plus hours fasting before I see any movement on the scale. I also know that if I get past 44 hours, I start having issues. Stomach issues, sleep issues. Etc. Even with electrolytes. I have on occasion pushed past the 48 hour mark, and I felt awful. However, it means slower results overall, which means this cycle of fasting is going to take me longer to get to goal weight - so I need to be able to do it. This leads me to so many more questions. Do i push past the 44 hour mark anyway? Do I change my eating window? The length of my eating window? (Typically about 2-3 hours). Do I adjust what im eating? Should I push for 48 hours plus, but with a small meal in between to get me past the awful feeling and maybe get to 80 hours or so? I'm okay with trying different things, but Im not sure for how long i should test something to see if it works. Two weeks? Three weeks? Which one is best to consider first?
On 2nd round of 90hr or more fast 3 hr refeed from Feb 29th. 3/4/24 Walked 5 miles on my treadmill 3/4/24 5 miles 3/5/24 outside today. Also floor exercise light. No food water yes. Do you drink water on 90hr or dry fast?
