"The computer's not gonna get tired. It's not gonna get scared. It doesn't feel fear, pity or remorse. And it absolutely will not stop. Ever. Until you are dead."
*Terminator Theme intensifies*
I knew I couldn't be the only one that picked up Reese vibes when he said that lol
One of the two best quotable lines in the movie. We all know the other one is Arnold's at the police station.
we have black mirror dog now..
Or until it runs out of fuel... just saying 😂
Dun dun dun dun dun!
Skynet is getting closer
Starlink
Skynet is complete fiction. If it comes to it, the West will readily hand over their countries as we have seen already over the past 50 years to inferior intelligence.
I'm sure this can't go wrong!
typical opening dialog of all ai apocalypse movie 😅
A Japanese videogame warned me about this
Just don't have it fly through a thunderstorm. We don't need a real life version of the movie Stealth.
Lol
Or a movie version of the movie Stealth tbh.
*"I want to understand the enemy"*
AI is a force multiplier
AI is a buzzword
But not worth the risk
You're right, but that's not enough! We also need a doomsday-machine muahahahahah!
It makes perfect sense - we must not allow a mine shaft gap! /s
it's an arms race, and it's not going to end up well

That is a young looking Colonel.
Hack yea he looks young for a fighter pilot col. Especially being the CC for the test pilot school. Must be one smart dude.
“Scientists were so busy about whether they could, they never stopped to think if they should!” Que the T2 theme song.
Jaime Foxx, Jessica Biel, and Josh Lucas would like a word.
How is that young man a colonel?
Skill set and knowledge, he could probably make triple what he does in the civilian sector so they gave him rank to keep him around
This isn't going to end well.
> "They're not expendable, we're not throwing them away"
> "We can put them in places where some of them are intentionally sacrificed."
Pick One
Was waiting for the historic flight
Ace Combat 7 is starting to look like a reality
Now as long as we don’t name it Z.O.E, we’re ok
You mean A.D.A.
Its fun to argue with AI sometimes. Ask Chatgpt of if it can evolve, its answer is always that it has limitations. But if instructed to have same leanings or biases, it will have its biases too.
Words are nice.
Where was the ride ?
I can’t believe ZOE could become an actual thing this quickly
Finally,...a way for every plane to be flown by Bob Hoover :)
They used a remote controlled aircraft based on the f16 i believe, albeit scaled down. It could do 8G maneuvers. Look up the HIMAT from Rockwell
Thanks for the info. Interesting video HIMAT.
Not worth it though
Just not worth the risk
@@glennmandigo6069What’s the risk?
I can’t wait for Skynet
This proves the military (Lockheed/ Boeing) has been building AI for war LONG before being recreated for human use.
Did the ai system start laughing when it said where’s the reverse gunning system and reverse missile locking system right ? 😂
I have wondered why it has taken so long to bring something like this system to be tried. I was an Instrument and autopilot tech on the F111D. The F111D had the capability for it's navigation computer to be programed with a tape machine to store 99 different target or way point locations and automatically fly the aircraft to those locations. This capability was available over 50 years ago. To have the aircraft perform evasive maneuvers or attack maneuvers by computers seems a fairly easy additional task. It may be that it was feared that the system couldn't be trusted to be tamper proof or simply because it would remove the need for pilots. Most top USAF generals/decision makers were or are pilots.
If someone had told me we'd be using AI - piloted F-16s to draw fire back in 1990 i would have felt that to be tantamount to burning DaVinci paintings cause you're cold
A.I is not scared and will eliminate the biggest threat and thats humanity 😂
Starscream is that you
0:51 That kid is a full-bird Colonel?! He can't be a day over 30, tops!
To think that the YF-23 had one of the most powerful computers on the planet during it's development, and than this thing has a computer powerplant THAT massive.... The technology available must be staggering.
What movie is this from? Don't spoil the ending for me.
Imagin movie companies. Make intense dogfight movies with that equipment
What can possibly go wrong??
It really seems archaic already
A million years from now, a new civilization will study us and wonder why we worked so hard to bring about our own demise.
Beautiful air jet fighter
the air force in engineering humanity's demise under the guise of increased operational capability.
something that AI fighter jets dont have is JUDGEMENT/ASSESSMENT. something that human pilots based on the briefed sitrep of the area of operation, they can expect some factions in the area, and what they see happening for example on the ground, could inform them something that a satellite cant analyze. like if the pilot sees explosion and its not from them, and from the previous sitrep they can conclude a certain unexpected event is happening and they might have an idea of what. while AI wouldnt even have any idea about it at all. HUMAN INTELS technically. processing real time intels at the site. AI can only report event sequences. or provides visual feedbacks.
You are thinking of a regular computer program. An advanced neutral network would be able to respond just like a human pilot with enough training. The amount of training and data would need to be enormous, and the hardware to facilitate this doesn’t yet exist, but it will, because eventually we will use AI to improve AI computer chips to improve AI to improve AI computer chips to improve AI to improve…
@@mike-0451 its about INSTINCT. AI is very logical. instinct is similar to guessing your lottery number. those "gut feelings". like when you choose who you are going to marry to. AI dont have that. most of critical life changing situations rely on that kind of "gut feeling".
@@alphaomega154 You are confusing instinct with magic. Instinct is also neural in nature (and thus logical A -> B), it just happens at a highly integrated level. The things you listed as “instincts” are not really instincts anyhow, but a sufficiently trained and optimized AI would be able to have what would actually be called instincts (strongly weighted “desires” and reactions). To be honest, I do not think it is not very fair to assign mystical properties to the human mind and pretend like an AI not having those (mystical, fictional) properties is a reason they should never be used. Frankly, I don’t think you understand the technology at all, nor do you understand how the brain works either, meaning anything you say about either ends up being inaccurate. Reading your comments actually makes me cringe.
@@mike-0451 "magic"? ask this "magic" to an AI : ask its favourite color. ask yourself the same thing. and WHY you like that color. now see if an AI can learn to come up with that kind of "magic". that "why". only humans have that "magic" that makes them have the urge to troll other humans. AI runs on LOGIC. favourite color is not logic. ask any kid in schools why they prefer their favourite colors. most of them will simply say, they just do.
if you think i make you cringe, imagine you are visiting a mental asylum/institution, and when you say something about "flour cake" to the "inhabitants" there, they will come up with all kind of political sentiments/assumptions/and metaphores about it. while for me, it just a food i ate long long time ago. thats how i feel about walking in YOUR WORLD.
@@alphaomega154 Humans are just biological machines.
we're cooked
we dont know his hands are moving or not
Now THIS is what new technology is for. Improving modern equipment but still allowing the human element to take over at a moment's notice. This would be great for a first-wave attack vehicle where you'd normally have to worry about losing living people to the first line of defenses. Now these AI fighters can take out enemy positions and clear the way for real people.
How is AI different from brute force computation on a trained input output map? I feel AI is kind of a hype rather than anything truly new or novel. Like ChatGPT - take input text or voice to text, interpret and assign meaning based on training, search for and construct best response - output back to user.
down with the empire. we were never meant to be one...
Hello GAGA, you have your orders
Where is Maverick?
Insane
hello Skynet
Turkey also in the race of Ai fighter jet . Kalizma is latest example.
Why I feel terminator coming
It will awaken.
Why? WHY?
Oh AI? What that all about?
Oh, great, cyberdine is here.
Now this is a baaaad idea
it isn't AI.
We need huge amount of unbiased factually correct data to train these AI models to understand friend vs foe. Still even if it does this with 99.99% of simulations, there is still 0.01% chance that the AI can go rogue with no motive and destroy friendlies
Aka we need billions more to make sure Lockmart stock goes up
I still bet that Hal Jordan could beat it in a dogfight... Right, Ryan? ;-P
Computer cant pass out bc of g’s either
Aerial terminator
Wait til they start putting ai in a couple of the darpa jets that look like the one in the stealth movie.
Yikes!
Putting a non-pilot in the front seat of a fighter jet is absolutely wild to me. I understand the pilot flying this plane is in the back seat but just so everyone knows, this is not a normal thing and I have never seen this been done before. Tom Cruise couldn't even get clearance to fly in the front seat for Top Gun. Spoiler alert, all the flying scenes of the actors were them in the backseat.
Well this isn't topgun, or a movie. The proper people authorized it, it happened because it's safe to do so. This isn't your typical f-16. :)
@@manuelalmaguer123 yeah and there’s no real training going on here. The data they wanted to present to the SECAF (the man in the front) could’ve been done in a debrief post flight using PowerPoint slides. This is dangerous and a miss use of resources, putting lives at risk in a fashion that was totally avoidable.
@@Buzzlightmonthto be fair, the AI has undergo dozens or even hundreds of flight tests before authority allowed it to carry passenger in backseat so I think it is qualified.
I've played Black Ops 2 and it isn't out of realm of impossibility
Ironman stuff!
re make of top gun movie with AI
Probably could make enlisted members pilots if there is an AI backing them up.
Ya I saw this, it was the start of Skynet, kinda like Jules Verne's Predictions, no books on A-Bombs and Nuke subs, couldn't happen, with the brite young people of today, like at or Colleges, trying to stop a war that would destroy them also, don't be afraid.
So now humans can not get experience to become skilled fighter pilots. What about computer chip glitches or need to override the dang machine go awry?
Exactly
This is a suicidal idea
Any system using an AI pilot should obviously be able to be decoupled from the flight controls. Also, AI do not “glitch.” They make mistakes, just like you and me.
But will they incorporate Chinese tech in it?...or just GIVE the programming to China!
This is not the same as a computer program. It is a neural network. It learns like you do.
@@mike-0451 They are all made of chips. Chips are tech too! Can you see EVERYTHING that is in a chip - or what other PROGRAMS are "hard-wired" in side them?
This Beauty is Smart :)
