Easily the best video I've ever watched showing everything from the walk-around to the pre-flight operational checks to take-off then the aerobatics with footage and audio from within the cockpit synced with footage taken from the ground, to the landing right up until Rebel disembarks the aircraft. It was entirely captivating and often mesmerizing. Surely the best video of its kind, ever!

I was crew chief on KC135 back in 1976. This lady had to break down barriers to get where she is today. Kudos to her. As a women I commend her for what she does. I never realized how hard it is for them to breath while doing their maneuvers. ❤
I think the honor of breaking down the barriers goes to Maj. Gen. Jeannie M. Leavitt who became the first woman fighter pilot back in 1993. But this young lady & the 100+ women fighter pilots are doing a great job carrying the torch!
I have a beginner home cockpit build. My 6 year old son and I had a ball trying to mimic the moves. I'm sure he'll remember this forever. This was awesome!
Seriously!! I wonder if it’s due to women being able to take more pain than men? I’m seriously not trying to be inappropriate. Biologically women are meant to experience more pain. If you’ve ever noticed when a man gets sick, he’s pretty moody and kind of whiny, but when a woman gets sick, sometimes you just don’t know!! women are generally tougher than men
@@lllllIIIllllIII only pain is child birth.....and all can thank Eve for that.....🙄. And no , females cannot handle pain better than aan , sorry. ✌🏻 and only MOMMIES boys are whiners anyway.

@@lllllIIIllllIIII have called out of work sick 3 days since 1999. Tell me exactly how that works. I am a plumber going to places to fix toilets and such fixtures that are not functional.
Way cool Aimee!!! One of America’s finest female military pilots. I’m a wife of a former fighter pilot who flew the F-16. Thanks for your service. I’m sure your dad was very proud watching you fly your sortie. Enjoyed the video!
You can tell that her ground crew is proud to be assigned to her. They can hardly contain their smiles. Since the air show season is now upon us, I’m hoping to see a Viper demo this year.
They know damn good and well she knows what she's doing or she wouldn't be sitting in that jocky's seat. Damn straight they're proud to be a part of that aircrafts team,, just as is she proud of them and her bird.
It must be hard enough for the body to go up, down, turn 2-3 turns on itself etc..., but how pleasant to do this work! Congratulations dear lady, I admire you a lot and besides, I admire you all for protecting our countries, and thank you for being there for us! Good flight ! 😯
Our Military Pilots are So Awesome!! I really Respect the job they do.... My dad was a software Engineer at Point Mugu and worked on the F14 Tomcat for 25 years. Much Respect and Love to You All!!
Everything is so involved. All the wires and hoses that need to be plugged in. It's amazing all the things to do prior to flight. Safe flight Rebel. Such a cool name. Be safe!
REBEL, Sierra Hotel! gives me chills every time I see these videos, my son is Viper driver and his wife is a maintainer. We have seen him in flight several times, it never gets old. I spent nearly 40 yrs service as a USAF civilian aerospace engineer working on the F-16, F-15, F-22 and F-35 platforms. One of the best and proudest days of life and career was watching my son receiving his wings. I am forever grateful and proud of the U.S. military and the families who support them!
To an old (74) guy like me, this video was awe inspiring. When I was young, not only would this never have happened, I'm pretty sure that no woman then thought that it would ever be possible. It really hit home when the two male ground crew saluted her as she climbed up to the cockpit. You go girl!
She is a beautiful women. But when it comes to reflexes and endurance, males are better suited for combat. This is just another form of anti American sentiment that has permeated our country. It is not about ability and character anymore but gender and color ok skin. It is wrong. And it is laughable that people who push racism and sexism like this always spout Martin Luther King. He would be opposed to such liberalism
In older eras, the nation was deprived of the talents of so many women and people of color who were not able to develop those talents because they weren't the correct gender or skin color. A loss for them and for all of us.
@@buddy7485 You knew many of them, did you? I'm sure no male pilots in the late 80's were full of themselves. Military fighter pilots certainly aren't known for cockiness or anything like that....
I think she showed up the boys. Your prep, beathing presence, connection to the tower... Thank you for your hard work Rebel! We appreciate you as Americans.
Hey, John Muir why not just kiss her ass, I am sure that Rebel would disagree with your statement. USAF 1964-1968 held over 4 for the TET offensive. Crew Chief C-141A and later C-130E and finally left the USAF 1990 guess I just liked my job. As far as flying goes the desire to be the best is in a lot of people.
@@johnnyjoejimbob Sexism is damaging to both women AND men. Aimee Fiedler didn't sleep her way to becoming an Air Force fighter pilot. She worked her ass off and deserves to be where she is, doing what she loves. IF I hadn't been born with so many medical issues, I would have loved to join the United States Navy like my uncles. My dad served in World War 2 and the Korean war, Army and Marines. He also helped develop radar systems for aircraft carriers. I love fighter jets and believe in a strong United States military. Both women and men can serve with honor and distinction. Aimee, you go, woman! I'm proud of you. And I pity the foolish enemy pilot that goes up against you! ❤️❤️❤️.

Rebel is an absolute bad ass. The fact that she is out there tearing up the skies leading the Viper demo team is a testament to her dedication to the world of military aviation since she didn't take the traditional route through a service academy. BZ Rebel!
I really enjoyed the excellent display of Rebel's skills in the cockpit. She is an amazing representative of American military aviation. "She can ride on my wing any day."
My dad was a fighter pilot in World War II, and started an AFROTC flight School when he managed an airport. I grew up flying with him, and he started teaching me when I was 11 years old. I wanted to be a fighter pilot just like he was, but I was nearsighted. When he told me I wouldn't be able to fly in the air force, I was crushed. Unfortunately, that bit of information took the wind out of my sails. I ended up going through the ground school, the things you never were the same for me when I realized I couldn't be like my dad.. I wish I had kept it up. Thank you to all of you pilots out there you have your wings, and carry on the legacy of pilots like my dad and all the others who came before.. God bless all of you! 🙏
honestly how far? in my opinion we are going nowhere. Now is 2022 and we have been using the same out of date technology as far as jet fighters engines are concerned. we still fighting nations against nations etc etc....we did this baloney 600 years ago too
@@siskiyou9784 How can it be out of date tech. For it to be outdated there has to be something better and if there is something better it'll be put in a jet to better their aircraft over the other countries. We have made something that works well why spend more money to just go faster......
I love the respect and camaraderie between crew chief, pilot, mechanics etc. that jet is their baby it doesn’t belong to just one person and they all are like a family keeping that bird in the air protecting our country. The pilot is an amazing role model! but the mechanics and everyone that goes into making this bird fly I just want to thank you and give you the credit. You deserve as well. As someone who can’t even stomach a small rollercoaster, I’m always in awe of what these pilots can take while still staying at the top of their game. 🎉
My uncle who raised me was a fighter in the Egyptian air force, So i know this is a prefect takeoff, sweet maneuvers, great landing. She make it look easy. Proud of all the aviators around the world.
She’s a great pilot. I’m always blown away by how incredible and relevant the F-16 is. It came out in the 60’s I think and it looks like it was designed recently, not to mention how agile and fast it is. There’s a reason why most countries use these still.
The F-16 prototype, the YF-16 first flew in 1974 and the first pre-production FSD F-16A flew in 1976 or 1977. The F-16 wasn’t combat capable until 1981 when it entered service so no, not the 60’s.
I am convinced she is fantastic at her ability to fly any fighter she flies. He Kudos from so many people who also realize she is a great pilot. Just one word, " WOW "

I think they took a little license for a photo op on that one lol, the wheel was already chocked when the camera panned around. The first approach they showed was likely more accurate and close enough anyway. Great job by all of them. 🙂

@@leslievey8453 ... yes. An old good HGU-55/P in its basic shape 95% unchanged or altered, a quite rare thing these days. Just a portion of black adhesive tape in somehow a geometric pattern and addition of the unique 'Combat Edge' oxygen hose, running from the mask to the inside bladder that is between helmet and head's back. Its virtually unchanged appearance is somehow (to me at least) a very welcomed sight and reminescent of the glorious days back then, when I was enthusiastic collector of aviators' helmets.
There are no words in the Websters dictionary to describe this young lady. Absolutely amazing! God broke the mold after he made her. I can’t imagine how proud her parents must be. Fantastic pilot!
In the Navy, we used to love to give Air Force a hard time; but, we always had the greatest respect for Air Force, and the outstanding pilots and crews like this are why. BZ!!

Was great to see this brave young lady being so thorough checking everything on approach and then suiting-up, great comradery. The only drawback I see for such a modern aircraft, with all the technology and expense by now I thought design would have allowed for an easier, smoother way to enter the cockpit - awesome compilation!

I attended this air show and really enjoyed your performance. My eldest son and his family attended also. My son’s dream was to be a pilot for the military from a very young age. He began working on making that dream a reality very early on. We enrolled him in the Civil Air Patrol as soon as they would accept him, he was able to get a good amount of time in the air, had flown an airplane before driving a car, he was set-up for private lessons and then the most devastating thing that could happen to his dreams happened... He experienced a spontaneous pneumothorax…and then another one several months later and then another about a year later. That ended all possibilities of him ever flying in the military. The devastation it brought him (and me for always telling him, “as long as you work hard,,dedicate yourself and remain disciplined…you can do or be anything you want in this life.” turned out to be the biggest lie I ever told my kids) but we both understand that for whatever reason, this was not the path he was supposed to take in life. But why did I mention that? Because by watching this video you made from inside the cockpit, I have a much greater appreciation for what is physically necessary to do what you do. You definitely showed me how important having good lungs is to be able to fly these jets. It is one thing for a doctor or a recruiter or such to tell you why something like a pneumothorax during teen years can be too risky to accept into a flight program, but actually seeing how much of the actual flying is dependent on healthy, fully functioning lung function really gives a much better understanding and acceptance of why he could no proceed down that path. I really, really get it now. So, not only was this video you made entertaining, it also brought upon some understanding that I had never fully grasped before. So, thank you! I know that what I just shared was not the intent of your video, but wanted to share the unintended effect that this video had on me. It has really helped in ways I can’t really put into words. Anyhow, Thank you again! Keep up the great work!
GOD bless YOU and your boy for trying. His dream was so close BUT GOD has a different plan for him.We must hope he accepts that even though HIS DREAM vanished. We hope he steps out and does whatever other path he chooses with the same determination to excel he did to fly in America's airships. He can still be among the ground crew that keep America's war planes at the ready for pilots. Thank you for sharing this story.
Absolutely amazing. I praise you for flying one of the best F-16. My dad was in Vietnam in 1968 as a Senor Master Seargent. May he rest in peace. And it just blows me away how you do this. And thank you so much for serving. And all the women for serving.🏅❤😮🙏🏼

I like this video because it shows you the real cockpit language and if you look into the reflection of the visor you can almost see what she is seeing. Plus, the breathing control through out the whole video. That takes training. And the trust that the Flight crew has on the pilot in the final stop, EPIC!
Absolutely fabulous the flight demo of this fantastic machine. The pilot is a kind of woman that's out of this world - simply the best! And fill us with pride. Congratulations.
My 7 year old slight plane fanatic l, she loves old war birds. The B-17G is her favourite - considering we live in England its an interesting choice but we saw her fly one day and now my baby is hooked. At the start of the video doing all your checks she was like wow. I want to help make planes work. Then you got in the seat and clipped up and she thought you were just going to sit in it. Her little mind is blown. "I can fly a really fast plane? I thought only a man could fly a fast plane." You've really inspired her rebel.
Just simply awesome Enough said and thanks to all our the literary men and women Serving the front lines You are so appreciated I can't say that in a God-bless And I hope you all returned safely

I never realized the amount of physical exertion they have to go through when doing these flights. Commendable job Rebel!! Also to all the pilots.
This was so exhilarating to watch, and gave me a deeper appreciation for America's fighter pilots. 🇺🇸
The amount of G force this woman can withstand is simply enormous! This is very hard to handle. Stay healthy pilot❤

To an old (74) guy like me, this video was awe inspiring. When I was young, not only would this never have happened, I'm pretty sure that no woman then thought that it would ever be possible. It really hit home when the two male ground crew saluted her as she climbed up to the cockpit. You go girl!
There was a whole squadron of Soviet female combat aviators during WW2 known as the Night Witches. They flew over 20,000 combat sorties.
Girl pilots in late 80s were so full of themselves
Sounds like someone feels inferior to a woman. Smooches from your mama.
Showed up the boys not men!!

She’s a great pilot. I’m always blown away by how incredible and relevant the F-16 is. It came out in the 60’s I think and it looks like it was designed recently, not to mention how agile and fast it is. There’s a reason why most countries use these still.
A great pilot for a female. Say it like it is. She almost died with a child's play flight. Nice to watch her fly anyways
The F-16 prototype, the YF-16 first flew in 1974 and the first pre-production FSD F-16A flew in 1976 or 1977. The F-16 wasn’t combat capable until 1981 when it entered service so no, not the 60’s.

I thought the exact same thing! You can't stand that still unless you are 100% sure. Amazing!
The helmet ?
@@leslievey8453 ... yes. An old good HGU-55/P in its basic shape 95% unchanged or altered, a quite rare thing these days. Just a portion of black adhesive tape in somehow a geometric pattern and addition of the unique 'Combat Edge' oxygen hose, running from the mask to the inside bladder that is between helmet and head's back.
Its virtually unchanged appearance is somehow (to me at least) a very welcomed sight and reminescent of the glorious days back then, when I was enthusiastic collector of aviators' helmets.

Me recordaste mi juventud,
I attended this air show and really enjoyed your performance.
