Super Budget SWR/Power Meter

- I picked this up on Prime Day, (in the future known as "Buy All The Things Day"). It is a super compact budget-friendly SWR meter, that also shows forward and reflected power out of your radio.
*EDIT* - I said this was $18. Nope, it was $35. Sorry for the mix-up!

They dont want you using your antenna for power measurements because its not a 50 ohm resistive load. You should always use a resistive load . Also; there will be some reflections from the antenna unless its a perfect match at the testing frequency.
Meh, maybe. But the doc also clearly shows the thing inline with an antenna as well. every power meter I've ever seen shows SWR and power, with the antenna connected.
I got the surecom SW-33 version and the larger surecom SW-102 one as well .. really like the smaller form factor and it came with the 5-20W Dummy load as well

It wouldn't hurt. There are better options out there, but for the price, it ain't bad. I assume it should work at HF frequencies.
Whatever did we do before we had the amazing gadgets at Amazon to get a proper measurement?

OK, I gotta google that. I know what a thermocouple is, I do not know what an RF thermocouple meter is?

Prime day price was $35.73, now $44.66. Found not to be accurate at all. Returning it.
I stand corrected. I bought something else that was $18, got them confused.
