Hi Aaron. Another great video! Just a heads up that according to the tech specs for the 1TB and 2TB Pro's, they have 16GB of RAM, not 12.
If you could do a battery drain test across all the iPads, that would be great! I think that would make a great video.
With the size of the battery in iPads, how efficient they are processor wise. That test would take FOREVER without really speaking to majority of the core audience. Opportunity cost really. Time vs Views vs Audience relevance vs Engagement.

Important to note for the iPad Pro is that 256gb and 512gb models get the binned 9 core M4 with 8gb of RAM, whereas the 1tb and 2tb models get the full 10 core M4 with 16gb of RAM.

I’m super excited about the Final Cut Pro version two which is the new editing software that you mentioned in there one thing I wanted to make sure you’re aware of in your video you said that the, Apple keyboard magic keyboard is available in space gray, and white for the new iPad pros but I think it’s only available in black-and-white. Double check that.

Battery life not improving on the Pro models is a major letdown. In that regard, this event sets it up nicely for the September iPhone event.
It could be on the iPad Pro. There are more efficiency cores.
Are you really surprised when’s the last time Apple done something like battery life.

They target more or less similar battery life to previous gen while increasing capability as always, maybe the OLED will help?
@@Steve-racerI mean other companies are still playing catch up. Just watched a battery drain test where the only phone to beat the iPhone had 1200 mAh larger battery and still only won by 30 minutes.

Can you test the minimum brightness on the new Pros, compared to the older iPads and also the PWM on the lowest brightness?
I’m 3 or 4 old on my current iPad so I ordered the 13 pro with keyboard and pencil. It will be here May 15.

Awesome video! I was very excited to watch the event yesterday. Now that the iPad Air has one terabyte of storage. I feel very comfortable that I can have more movies on my device. Will the second generation Apple Pencil work with the new iPad Air model? Will the current magic keyboard that was available for the previous iPad Pro work with the new iPad Air?

Hi Arron, I can’t find a definitive answer as to whether the Apple Pencil Pro is compatible with iPad Pro M2 11”. The Apple Store implies it is, but some experts online say it’s not. I’m confused, can you help me?
Really would have appreciated a pencil holder on the new Magic Keyboard. Will have to see how it feels when I write with it but I do like the paper texture screen protectors. Either way, order placed.

I thought the keynote/event was underwhelming and was really hoping for an updated iPad Mini!
So glad I saw this. I’m refreshing my 12” Pro. Ordering on my phone, I ordered the white keyboard because I couldn’t figure how to change to black. I assumed they were going with only black. I just ended chat with Apple canceling the white keyboard and will pick up a black keyboard while I’m pick up the iPad and pencil at Grand Central Station Apple Store in NYC.

Yup, only thing I kinda don't like about the air is the lack of any moderaterly higher refresh rate (even 90Hz would've been okay) or any zoned backlighting and Face ID (you can put it in a mini iPhone for 600/500 USD but not an iPad?).

Just ordered a iPad Pro M4 11inch, do you have a video on how to set up an iPad using an iPhone, to do a new install to the iPad using my Apple account, that would be so useful ?
He will have a video when the iPad is released next Wednesday. (05/15/2024).
It is easier than shooting fish in a barrel. When you receive your new iPad, turn it on. Make sure that no other Apple devices are in range of the iPad other than your iPhone. Swipe up to choose your installation language then then select your region. At the set up screen, the device will be again looking for nearby Apple devices bring your iPhone near the iPad at this time and the the set up screen will ask you if you want to use your Apple ID account on your iPhone to set up your new iPad. Bring your new iPads screen up to your iPhone camera and align the pattern in the center of the viewing screen. At that point, your device will be paired. Follow the set up prompts and choose the option to migrate your iPhones data to your iPad. Boom, and you’re done.

Been waiting for a major ipad upgrade since 18 and went 13 Pro 1TB for the 16GB RAM/10c CPU as well as new pencil and magic keyboard - little cheaper thanks to the education discount, but that’s still a big price tag. But, if it lasts me 6 years for what I’ll put it through, it’ll be worth it.

The 1TB and 2TB configurations come with 16GB of memory, not 12GB as mentioned in the video
Interesting choice to remove the wide-angle camera, although I can't remember the last time I used it on my M1 11" iPad Pro. You'd think they'd want people to be able to record spatial video with the Pro models especially considering the processing power in the M-chip lineup, but I guess thats exclusively a Pro iPhone feature now. Also an interesting choice to make the iPad Pro's so thin this time around rather than get rid of the effing camera bump and expand the battery. Do you guys think it's because Apple doesn't want the camera assembly recessed too deep when a case is on?

The iPad Air price at $599 is crazy. This past week at Costco, you could have bought the M2 IPad Pro with a better screen and better speakers for only $50 more.

Buy an older model iPad Pro. save you a lot of money. I don't think M4 iPad Pro worth that much money if you just watch UA-cam or web browsing. It is for video editing and rendering.

The M4 could be a MacBook replacement? I am a college student and I use my iPad for schooling and my personal and entertainment uses I also am a console gamer and is going to start playing my Xbox and ps on it too with remote play I want the iPad Pro for mainly school uses so I can do all my homework on it with Microsoft apps Google apps and print all my papers i have tested it out yet on my current iPad Air but I hope when I print it can be visible

Apple should focus on stability and battery life
as someone who fixes ipads on the regular. it is way too easy to bend iPads. being thinner probably isn't going to be a great advancement for durability. I have straightened ipad 12.9 inch with very little pressure only using my hands.

Today obsoleted the M3 chip after just over 6 months on market.
Apple should have put M3 on the iPad Air it was a missed opportunity
The most annoying part is we cant use the pencil pro on our ipad pro m2 but can work with ipad air m2.
