Just wanted to say that you had a big part in helping with my decision to go from iPhone to the S24 Ultra. I am loving it. I have also got the new Nothing Ear buds as well. The new ones. Now my next thing will be a tablet or a laptop. I am really looking at the Tab S9 but will probably wait for the Tab S 10. Looking into DEX cause that might be enough for my use case cause it does allow light to medium editing of photos and videos. Your info and description of the tabs and DEX has been really helpful. And you are right Dex is very capable. I do use Lightroom on it sometimes and whilst not as nice as using it directly on the tablet with the S-Pen, it's still pretty cool to be able to do it with mouse and keyboard and a larger screen!

💯 I still have Tab S8u and am very happy with it. I don't plan on upgrading anytime soon. These are very good points you made on this. I would definitely recommend this tablet considering the S8u is still a beast, so hell yeah, on the S9u 👍

The problem is no APPS! Nothing for business, music composing, pro photo editing and the list goes on…. I love the tablet but it’s not a functional day to day device you can use…. It’s for nerds only and won’t grow until that’s resolved.

Congratualtions you hit 100K faster than most tech reviewers. I remember how long it took some of the big names to reach 100K it was years. The space has big growth potential if you have high production values and are not a fanyboy. That's what the two big reviewers seemed to have figured out which I was folllowing when they were little high school and college kids posting reviews 😅 Now they get named personally by Tim Apple in iphone presentations. Not the one who bent the phone though....😂😂😂
I have been driving this S9 Ultra daily with my LuLulook stand and razr Orochi V2 mouse. I set up a second 15" OLED flat display next to it that I scored cheap because it's no touch and only 1080 HD. It's bascially a tablet with no guts. But the image quality is legit absolutely IDENTICAL to the S9 Ultra display when viewing 1080 HD content. Even the tiny color variations are the same on yellows and oranges that I thought I could only get on the top displays. If you don't need touch for second display it's great for running UA-cam all day. I just connect the two displays with Dex and a type C hub and a micro HDMI to USC C cable port on the second disolay. No lag whatsoever. I added a backlit Apple clone keyboard. I still have the S8 Ultra that I use just for media consumption with keyboard cover. I immediately got rid of the new Dex by long pressing the Dex icon on the pull down with wifi, Bluetooth and GPS. It reverts back to old Dex.
The biggest difference for me S9 vs S8 Tab Ultras is that the speed is noticeably snappier. I have the 512 MB version after a free upgrade by Samsung. For a multitasking experience like Dex it's worth going with that upgrade. And the cool thing about Dex is that you can keep using old Samsung phones. I have my old Note 9 from 2018 (yes six years ago!) also paired to my budget 37" Samsung 1080 HD M5 monitor for Dex using a type C hub directly behind my Tab S9 Ultra. It's great for running TradingView stock charts during the market hours on a huge screen.
My 2021 Fold 3 is still kicking and links my WhatsApp messaging in real time with my S9 Ultra Tablet so I don't miss any messages even if the phone is behind the sofa somewhere😅. The cool thing is that I don't have to upgrade to the latest and greatest thing every year and since the prices fall drastically after a year it's good not to have to be jumping for every new thing. I'm tempted to try the OnePlus tablet if the prices drop big. I try not to buy anything unless I can sell it close to the purchase price after the return window closes.

I got this a few months ago absolutely brilliant for watching content ive also got a 12.9 ipad pro M1 and the display on the Samsung tab s9 ultra is stunning i was worried it wouldn't be as good as the mini led on the ipad but it definitely is 💯 great video thanks

I've had it for six months and it's absolutely amazing. It definitely replaces any laptop, unless you're a programmer or a very advanced PC user. There's so many things you can do with it. Samsung Notes is truly a wonder. The Spen is just great. Just great. The picture quality is just amazing. Amazing.
Had an iPad since 2018 (the 6th gen model) never really used it. Played a few games on it, ended up using my phone for videos as the iPads lcd display was horrible to look at. Just recently got the s9. I use it everyday! Movies, emulators, pc streaming! Amazing tablet! Hooked up some mobapad joycons and I have a supersized oled switch
You can change the DEX setting to use classic DEX. the classic DEX is using the infamous desktop UI.
I also hate the new DEX UI.
I want to ask, what is the minimum external monitor resolution for samsung DEX. I don't want it to look bad on the external monitor, so i haven't bought a monitor yet

Hi Guys, any ideas if you could have to choose between the Tab S9 ultra and the Samsung Galaxy book 4 ultra 360. Tab S9 can be a laptop and the Galaxy book 4 360 can be tablet form too.
💯 I have been wanting to get it and debating. I have a 2021 ipad pro and I know I don't really need to upgrade yet, but comparing it to the s6 tab I had before Ipad, I enjoyed it more, I ended up giving it to my father as a gift, and I have been debating for few years to switch back.
I know it can be tricky, especially if you have an iPhone too, but from a functionality perspective, the Tab is hard to beat. I do miss some iPad apps like Procreate and Ulysses but honestly, not enough to make me grab the iPad instead. I think the iPad can be great for entertainment, but if I want to do work, the Tab is unbeatable right now
@@AlexGTech I'm a 2 phone person and I have the s24 ultra. It's not a big issue switching between ecosystem. I just know for my use the tab would make more sense. I literally only use the iPad for watching movies and drawing. But I miss the full fledged use of dex mode and etc when I'm on the go

There is a native funtion in the OneUI System called "second Screen". With this, u can easily use this as a second Monitor without any Cables. U Just need Win 10/11 Device!

Tablets are supposed to be used handheld and for stylus to include mobility. I have a Galaxy Tab S9+ that I find a bit cumbersome to hold sometimes and how much more would it have been if I chose the S9 Ultra. Hence, gigantic tablets defeat the real purpose of what a tablet should be - handy for handholding purposes.

My Tab S7+ is my everyday device and am on Dex sometimes. It still works great but software update is short. It is released in 2022 and already it has its final OS version which is not acceptable. Before I upgrade, I will wait for Samsung to announce similar software support like their Phone which is 7 year or at least 5 years of support. All I can say is if anyone likes to be more productive and get done with their stuff and spend more time with family, One UI it is.
I was looking at the magnetic Lululock stand for my S9 Ultra but readily saw that it was designed for the S8 Ultra. I read that it doesn't fit properly because of the cameras. Do you have any issues with that?
It's only a tiny mismatch but works ok. You just need to be a bit careful when putting it on. As I mentioned they have a new version now, for the S9 Ultra

I've got the S8 Ultra, nearly as good. But both are great. You can't snap the magic keyboard off and go fully tablet. Both have advantages and problems.

I think the keyboard cover is the biggest weakness. I have a Lenovo tab with the same design and i don't get it.. you really need a flat and solid surface. I would gladly buy a more expensive edition, especially for desktop mode

I considered one some weeks back when a series of promotions lined up. Ended up getting a Uperfect X14 Pro laptop dock for use with my Fold 5 instead. Not regretting it. Samsung needs to start implementing USB-C alt-DP input on their tablets to make those AMOLED scrreens worth investing in as an accessory for other devices on top of being a tablet.

Wish you had a little more about productivity on the Tab Ultra. As I am retured abd di not need to oroduce a lit if documentation anymore, I think using Dex with a keyboard on a larger screen us totally 💯k per cent acceptable.
I wish it was as amazing cause I love samsung I love Android and I love dex but still had to go with ipad pro , I am a very power hungry user I mean I have used the m2 to its limits on iPad Android would just stutter on it peak requirements and price of ipad was cheaper then the top tier samsung as well
plus if u factory in the apps on iPad are just better I wish Android and the chip in the Samsung progress as fast even though ipad feels very restrictive

I just applied my usual colour profile to it. It was a strange situation though with artificial light inside (it was at a hotel) and lots of daylight outside, near sunset hour.
All that galaxy tab ultra needs to be perfect is Adobe or affinity apps and Procreate.

Hi there. I can’t recommend the 14 as I had a bad time with it. The 13 Pro or 15 Pro are pretty solid to be honest.
100k 😊 I switched from apple to Android (mainly samsung) a while ago...I felt like apple was becoming lazy and complacent with their innovation...
apps are the big problem... even Lumafusion is not the same with iso. There is no FCPX or Davinci also, no Procreate , Photoshop, etc

💯 congrats. I traded my iPad Pro M2 in for a decent trade-in price on th Tab Ultra a year ago and have not regretted it since. I understand corporate iPad use because change is difficult for many, and simple is easier. But with simple comes lack of functionality, and i feel the future in my hands with the Tab Ultra. I still have to help a friend of mine with his iPad Pro at times, and it feels so much like a childs toy when i touch it. Ultra keeps getting better, and Definitely no regrets for me.

I have the Ultra and the iPad Pro M1, and I am the opposite; I much prefer the iPad, and I had to do some detective work to find where I left my Tab S8 Ultra as I hadn't used it for a while! I charged it up, but I am still using the iPad.
I am trying to understand why you say the iPad is a "child's toy", as it has better and more varied apps, and with Stage Manager, you even have DeX. For file management, I use the cloud. Also, as tablets can last 7+ years, it is disappointing that my Tab S8 Ultra has only two more OS updates, whereas the iPad will get another 4-5 despite being older! And, of course, the M1 will still be the best in another 5 years due to its much more powerful chip.

💯 k. Very useful video ,and I think that the back video and photo camera can be very useful, in conjunction with the smartphone , it could give many different angles choices, probably no so difficult to setup with a complete Samsung equipment.
And competitive advantage if AI can calibrate color and quality on the devices . what do you think ?

The camera sharing feature is great and I can see how that will be useful, but the apps currently don't work that well, even Samsung's own OneUI 6.1 experience on camera sharing is not the greatest. It took me ages to figure out why my S24 Ultra on latest updates wouldn't connect. But the potential is there, for sure!
I'm a big fan of Samsung, and indeed this Tab S9 Ultra (like the whole S9 range) is great, but, if the Samsung Tab S10 doesn't have Qualcomm's Snapdragon X Elite, I think it will be the 1st year that I'm going to recommend the future iPad Pro M3 and the Microsoft Surface Pro 10 instead of the Galaxy Tab S10.

Not really, it's very similar. I do see a slight improvement but wouldn't recommend it unless you find a really decent deal where you don't lose money
First time time I've ever disagreed with you. I hated the magic keyboard. I returned it and got the Logitech Combo Touch . The magic keyboard felt too limiting because of the ommision of function keys and the angles at which you could adjust the display. It's only saving grace was that it was lapable and the charging port. but most the time, I kept it on a flat surface.
That being said, I absolutely love your channel and how premium your content is. It always make me happy when I see you've uploaded another video! 💯

Can replace windows?
Broadly, yes. Also, ARM Linux installation using termux and andronix offer desktop application functionality. It's not a straightforward process perhaps, but it is doable as demonstrated on much-less capable Samsung galaxy devices running DEX on YT video.
I bought it when it was new but returned it within a week because I hated the keyboard and the appearance of the apps. What else is there?
For me it's the functionality when doing work. It's just so flexible when compared with teh iPad. The iPad is getting better, don't get me wrong, but not as flexible for what I do outside of my creative work.

It would be ideal if they offered a keyboard similar to the Magic Keyboard, or perhaps the Samsung keyboard without a trackpad might be better for portability.

The lack of LTE in the states is a disappointment. Still have one but will go for the new iPad for that feature.

@@AlexGTechI think people avoid buying LTE devices because the way the carrier contracts work here for now if you buy any 5G device it's usually hardwired so to speak with a specific carrier. If you use a different carrier you run into all these annoyances. I went through this personally once getting a phone for a relative that had been unlocked for one carrier but as soon as they used it with a competing carrier this antitrust violation type practices kept coming up like calls not routing to the correct voicemail number and constant 5G connection issues. Always buy a clean ulocked device here in America. Then if the tablet is wired for 5G service from a carrier nobody wants it sits unsold on the shelf. Meanwhile we have an entire slate of second level discount carriers that are all quietly owned by the big carriers who have pretty aggresive contracts for Wifi Hotspot features just not as fast as the big carriers. And the top carriers on the most expensive plans have reverted back to their old "unlimited data" or big data buckets for hot spot features so connecting your phone to your tablet is almost an incentive to buy a tablet. Apple don't have to worry about this because the carriers bend over backwards to have their 5G in the iPads and customer base is enormous. They can predictably manufacture a pre-ordered quantity of 5G iPads that sell from the start for enterprise customers and what remains can just be sold to private users wanting 5G. It really is a giant monopoly in action and Sasmung just have to play around it.
5G chips are hardwired to carriers here in the U.S. and A. So Samsung doesnt' want the expense of making an LTE Tab thats going to sit unsold on the shelf and eventually heavily discounted. Apple don't have that issue because they have such a huge enterprise customer base in the corporate world that guarantee a set number of 5G builds by carrier.
Yes, it is a big negative especially as you get the added benefit of a GPS with 5G. Even though mobile hotspots are easy on Apple, the added convenience of just opening the iPad and being online is genuinely added value.
Oh recent discovery. I had a mouse and keyboard connected to my Tab S9 Plus, and after I answered a text on my Samsung Fold, I set it down next the tablet, something appeared on both screens, and I was able to use the keyboard and mouse on the my phone, like a second screen. Not necessary something I would use all the time, but I thought it was very cool that they just connected so seemlessly.
Oh yes, the fold has so many cool features too! Have you tried that Flex mode?

It's not the right fit for me; while it offers the best specs, the pen experience isn't as good as the iPad's, and it's simply too big. It looks and feels cumbersome in person, making it not very portable.
The number one thing about the Ultra that is driving me insane is the wifi 6 issue. Why does it keep dropping the internet connection almost daily? I see no fix online and I won't even take a zoom call because of this issue. Samsung is no help. I almost want to sell it for this reason.
Samsung apple has the same problem in everything brother.. they are the worst in performance n moreover the more you use the more performance keeps dropping .. Huawei honor wifi or 5 g is insane because they use their own chip to boost the signal quality. Samsung is just good for screens 😂 but if we talk about technology Huawei is the king n then honor is catching up very fast

The Galaxy tablets are excellent. I actually loved the 9 ultra but had to return it. It was way too bright and was giving me headaches but the colors and ease of multi tasking can’t be beat! I wound up getting the 9 plus FE edition for artwork.
