Nice work. Not easy keeping the oil inside our 7.3's..the struggle is real. God bless and safe travels.

Watched your video again today. Not sure what you may have accomplished since then, noticed your oil cap spout drip line. Also, the IPR sensor should be checked for leaking. Bit cold these days for wrench turning. Hope you're doing well.

I'd also check/replace your oil rail end plug. Very common leak, and that lines up directly over the starter.

The reason for the splice plug is because oil eats away at the wires and this will cause false values to the PCM and your motor will not start or run correctly. There are many reasons for oil dripping on your starter. First is because of the valley drain hole on the block above it. ICP, IPR, HPOP seals or lines all will cause this problem.
FYI there is a reason it was cheap.
I am a firm believer in OEM parts and sensors and my 01 shows it.

Mine was my oil rail end plug on my passenger side. Same area. Put some florescent dye in the oil, drove it around a bit, used the black light to see but had to get a mirror to get a good look at my oil rail end plugs in the rear. My Valley was bone dry.
A word of advice. Use the black light on your motor BEFORE putting in the florescent dye. Some motor parts and such will illuminate just as if there was oil on it. Good to take note of what those things are before hand.
You should absolutely replace the pigtail when you replace your ICP if it's been soaked in oil, it's impossible to get that all out of the plug.
For sensors on a 7.3l engine I stick with OEM. My experience with aftermarket sensors has been less than stellar.

      Are those fairly easy

@@MrMcebba the passenger side oil rail end plug on the back of the motor is a bitch. You either have to remove the cab, or put a hole in your firewall carefully in the correct spot to get a tool onto the rail end plug. They do not come out easy. It's a nightmare. I recommend ordering new rail end plugs as they made them slightly longer to keep the gasket from getting cooked. Also put a metal shield of some sort on your turbo pipe back there where the plug is to help shield it from the heat so you never have to do them again.
The ICP and pigtail are easy peasy though!

Thank you sister. You saved me from being taken by an unscrupulous mechanic that was about to empty my bank account 👍

$15 for ICP! Wow. Is it still working? $160 for IH OEM part I just put in mine. Sensors must be oem unless emergency
