Not every character is given the depth they deserve, and the plot is never as complex as the Cold War stories it wears the clothes of, but Secret Invasion is nonetheless able to end its run with its best foot forward.
Am down for a Gi'ah/Sonya team up.

Secret Invasion leads into The Marvels and then into Secret War.
Super Skrull as a character was initially a Fantastic Four villain, engineered with their powers. In comic, while he had all of their powers, each version was watered down version of the originals.
So if they are sticking with that canon, Gaia can't go toe to toe with Captain Marvel using just that power set, as Carol is still more powerful.
The mistake here was hiring Brian Tucker as the executive for this series. That guy has only one other project written - "Broken City" - and if you haven't seen it, it's just a movie about nothing. People are talking but not saying anything. That man lacks the vision of the whole picture. I can see similarities here. Please, Marvel Studios, you need better writers.
I loved the beginning of this show and absolutely hated that ending..... So many questions left unanswered. Too much focus on the wife instead of other skrulls like the one who took Rhodey or Everett Ross, No one really mentioned Talos sacrificed anymore. I also feel like they teased too much in the trailers, i expected way more of this show. There was also a lady Gravik talked too in ep 1 or 2, he said something like without you we wouldn't be here.... her character name is Kreega. Thought there was more to her too, but i guess not.
My theory was that she was one of the first skrull to get the extremist dna, turned into Maria HIll to feed Gravik information about Fury, also faked her death by letting Gravik shoot her in Russia, so that Gravik could use Maria HIll as a plan c if things didn't work out for him. Guess both Talos and Maria Hill were left dead on foreign ground by Nick Fury. It's like Natasha all over again, what a shitty dead after being so involved in the mcu.
Yeah, the only powers Gia are missing are the things that could potentially beat her; Iron Man's intelligence, Captan America's strategicness, etcetera. Also, I didn't see any magic, so Doctor Strange and Wanda powers might not be there.
How did Gravik not recognize that Fury was a Skrull? That was established in this series that Skrulls can recognize each other in disguise
Uh…what? They explicitly took pains to have G’iah explain to Beto (for the viewer’s benefit) in episode 1 that they stay in human form to better fool both humans and skrulls…?

Until now, I personally had no problem with any previous movies/TV shows from Marvel Studios. They are my most favorite movie makers. I love how they craft and tell stories of characters. However, Secret Invasion lacks wholeness. Yes, This series is the start of the whole "Secret Invasion" thing, but I felt like I was watching disjointed pieces. Just facts without deep understanding. There is potential; without adding anything new, all those facts could be unfolded, resulting in the most solid TV series from Marvel Studios.
You know, you guys mentioned one major plot loophole here I didn't think of -- How tf do all of these captives not have severe radiation sickness, if not already dead from the radiation itself? 😅
who cares, half of the characters should’ve been dead a long time ago like ur telling me Hawkeye didn’t die of internal bleeding from a whole building collapsing in him and Ant-man surviving a whole blast from Thanos’ ship?
@@PawiYT You can only suspend disbelief for so long. Surviving injuries in a battle is to be expected but these people were chilling in a heavily irradiated area for years lol

It's because it's super trendy to hate on Marvel at the moment, so people come in already hating something, prior to even seeing it.
People love to hate. And they love to hate the MCU because their fan theories don't come true every time. But also I kind of blame Taika and Sam Raimi for how their last MCU movies turned out.
I agree with the above statements. Channels that tear down shows seem to get more views. Theirs one right now saying this is Marvels biggest flop. Didn't they say that about she hulk?!!
I enjoyed this series. These shows are supplementary stories to the main movies.
The finale was pretty bad lol show started off with so much promise but become nothing but a mix of occasionally good scenes and a rushed plot
Fury should've also mentioned that it was a Skrull who gave his life to save the president I honestly feel like that ending could've been mostly avoided, not to mention I don't trust the Kree since they're the reason Skrulls got no home to begin with. But I still respect and even enjoyed the dark path it concluded with.
This was the pure definition of a mixed bag.
I enjoyed the Super Skrull battle, but I didn't like how short this episode was. I liked what this show sets up, but I didn't like how VERY noticeable the CGI was. I liked how this episode will bring about a lot of stuff that will call back to this show, but I didn't like how everything was rushed.
Overall, I found this show to be quite decent. A little better than the bottom of the MCU Disney Plus shows, but not as great as the stuff that is better than this.
Also, all hail our new goddess, G'iah!!! Emilia Clarke earned her paycheck, for sure!!!
I STILL don't care what anyone says. I'm still knee-deep in the MCU, and I will continue to be until I'm 6 feet under.
Best believe that Season 2 is a sure thing. For real.
Regarding The Marvels trailer, let those pathetic man-babies cry and cry and cry themselves to sleep.

The Marvels full trailer came out a few days ago guys. Also, I'm pretty sure he was snatched after Endgame. That's when everything was still in disarray, and that would have made it easy to grab him while everyone else was distracted. Plus throughout this series he wasn't wearing his leg braces, but he was definitely wearing them at Tony's funeral.
They did watch the full trailer of The Marvels after they talked about their reaction to Secret Invasion. I guess you didn't stick with the video till the end.
And just wait until Ritson decides to go after the folks in New Asgard.
😮😔 yo my brain is just stuck on Rhody like I'm gonna feel so bad for him when he finds out, because if he's been captured since 2016 or 2015 that means he don't know sh*t about the stones, thanos, he don't know vision's dead during the infinity war and the blip, he don't know nothing about what happened in endgame... 😮OH SH*T he don't know his bestfriend is dead by defeating thanos, he's gonna be so f*cked up in the head when he finds out. I wonder who he's gonna first because whatever they bring up he's not gonna know what they're talking about and there not gonna know what he's talking about because they think he was with them whole time and he wasn't. And he definitely don't know about the shield that he was supposed to give to the government and passed it on to john walker. And who knows he probably didn't really know about the skrull during iron man 2 but then again he probably does because remember they took his memories so maybe he does.But man this will hurt him bad and it sucks 😔.
"Can't find a planet" - or is it that the Kree are still gunning for the Skrulls, so they are safest on Earth until Fury can get these peace talks sorted...
And Skrulls can change appearance, not powers - hence the machine - so the Talokans should be safe from infiltration

Definitely a let down of a finale but still was kinda fun. Marvel somehow forgot that no matter how good your finale is, if it’s the worst episode of the season it will be met with hate from the fans. Your last episode has to be the best episode of the show is a failure. It’s not fair but that’s just how it goes.
I wonder if G'iah's powers are something like 30% effective of the original powers.

I think the issue with finding them a planet is the Kree hunting them down and killing them off.
Civil war ends with him going into the mri with that gown on so that’s when he was switch out so infinity war and end he was a skrull
Not likely. He came out of Civil War on leg braces, which he wore throughout Infinity War and Endgame. New Rockstars also pointed out how he had to crawl to his Mark 2 suit in Endgame when no one else was around. But he never wore the leg braces in Secret Invasion or at the beginning of Falcon And The Winter Soldier. That means he likely had his guard down at some point immediately after Tony's funeral which allowed him to be captured.

Marion Dayre serves as the head writer/showrunner of Echo. She was a story editor on Better Call Saul, having worked on seasons 4 and 5 and 1 episode each from seasons 2 and 3. So, I have high hopes for Echo because Better Call Saul's storytelling is exactly what Marvel Studios needs right now for their TV shows to avoid becoming some Asylum-type studio for TV shows. Yes, we can be open-minded and smart, and we can fill gaps in stories, but if you are doing a job, please do it with passion and love, just like in movies. That guarantees you more viewers, more appreciation, and love. Do not give haters food to feed their hate.
overall I’m OK with h this finale. like most people I feel like it could have been a bit better/satisfying. for instance with Tony and Natasha it was clear what they died for. what did Maria and Talos die for?
Or possibly Thanos created his agrarian paradise with the Infinity Stones, which means that after the Battle of Earth, there was nobody to create that planet.
How the fuck was *NICK FURY*, a human without a spaceship or scifi abilities supposed to find the Skrulls a homeworld? He didn’t even promise that; Captain Marvel did. All of their anger should have been directed at Carol Danvers

Don't try to make sense out of it because none of it does, it's just a way to visualize it to the audience.
What if there was some twist in which the Kree has some type of technology that also gives them the ability to copy someone like the Skrulls can? We also learned in the last episode there is a newer type of Black Widow technology that masks not just the face but the body too. So, what if somebody used that to impersonate the president? Whether it is a Kree, someone other villain with face & body-changing tech, or the president himself is a Skrull (either a separate faction or Gravik's backup plan), what if the president is not actually the president for the sole purpose of calling out war against other Skrulls? The president's memories are not needed to just make war. So, was Rhodey not the real Rhodey in Falcon & The Winter Soldier? I think these MCU shows need to be at least 8 episodes long so they can do some more final wrap-up. I'd love to know more about when Rhodey and Agent Ross were taken. It might actually redefine our perspective on MCU Phase 4, and maybe even Phase 3. FYI, if you are not already aware, there is a special episode of Invincible now on Prime about Atom Eve. Also, with your love for anime, you may love the new Superman anime on Cartoon Network, My New Adventures with Superman, and episodes get uploaded to Max. I love it myself. I am so curious now if during the events of The Marvels, will Carol Danvers find out what happened during Secret Invasion and will she be super-angry at Fury for not telling her AND will the massacre of Skrulls still be happening on Earth at the time of the movie?
they pretty much made it so that was not the real rhodey talking with sam. guess she was supposed to play rhodey until gravik "activated" her.
@@vinsanity40k Makes me actually want to go back now and remind myself what that fake Rhodey told Sam and see if what was said may have had a different meaning and meant to lead Sam astray somehow.
Talos died for nothing. G'iah is the most powerful being in all the MCU - but she doesn't get to be in the Marvels, cause??? Rhodes and all the other humans were kept in a radioactive base for months? years? but when waking up they seem to be okay??? Wow Marvel, lazy writing...never being so least interested in what may happen next in the MCU.
Talos dying for nothing is the point of the presidents campaign and g’iah’s dismissal of him in ep 4 g’iah is probably going to be in the marvels, gravik’s death was as unceremonious as the people he’s killed so he got what he deserved, the humans attached to the mind flare is likely why they were able to survive in Chernobyl for so long and why they were able to survive after being taken off the flare, I guess mfs just didn’t pay attention enough

Case in point, the "mind-flare" theory; how exactly the body is protected from radiation by an alien device that continuously crawls the brain for memories??? You, and the Marvel team can only explains it with lazy writing which is the main reason this series is so underwhelming. If you would have tell me this is a CW series I wouldn't be so disappointed; but from a Marvel $250mm series; seriously??? I guess Marvel thinks we all are that dumb.
@@GadrielDemartinos I definitely think it makes sense as the body is basically in stasis, skrulls can handle the radiation so I’m sure they knew the humans would be able to even stasis on the mind flare, I mean it’s just my personal hypothesis and it would make sense since the skrulls do know humans can’t be in Chernobyl
@@smoovenorris It may be so, and yet we didn't get any confirmation from Marvel - we only got fan theories, (like yours, and others). As biology goes; organic matter in a radioactive environment = to death or mutation; at least for most species in our planet; except roaches, and Indiana Jones.
