Skrodey getting taken out by Fury was soooooo satisfying 😁 but Gravik giving that speech thinking he was talking to Fury but instead it was G’iah was kinda disappointing though. And I am still utterly devastated about Talos. He gave so much and got nothing in return. He deserved better 😭
I think it’s going to be revealed that rhodey has some sort of terminal illness in armor wars which could become the closing of his story in the MCU, I think they added the hospital gown detail for a reason. A lot of people are claiming it’s a implication that rhodey has been there since civil war but in endgame we see rhodey unable to use his legs after the war machine suit gets damaged during thanos’ attack on the avengers compound. If it turns out rhodey has been a skrull since civil war then I guess that skrull is truly dedicated to the role😂
the last episode was great, but short👌🏻 and I would like to see Gaia in upcoming projects in the Marvel universe, because she has exceptional powers now.
So does this mean that the U.S. is now anti-Asgardian since they were are off-world born as well? And since G'iah now has Ms. Marvel's DNA, does that mean that she will be tied into the confusing body switching in the upcoming The Marvels movie?
Yeah it was good but lacked. It had to be changed as well due to the current World tensions. Not sure. An after credit would have been nice even if it was Ross and Rodey comparing when they got grabbed
I agree that this episode felt rushed and claustrophobic. I wish this series had at least 8 episodes or at least each episode was longer so that storylines were explored and shown a bit more rather than just telling the audience what happened. It was still good, though. Good reaction as always. Thank you!
I'll be honest I just came here to see your end review of the series to help me decide if it was worth my time to watch it. I was really excited from the trailers but I will say that I was really rather disappointed with She-Hulk (I liked the first episode but after that it was tonally all over the place and really not that funny to me if they were going for a comedy. The actress was great but she just happened to be in a not good show) and after that I just lost my spark to watch anymore of these marvel series, I guess I'm starting to get the burnout everyone's been talking about. I actually really enjoyed most of the marvel series when it began Wandavision, Loki, What if were great and other shows like The Falcon and the Winter Soldier & Miss Marvel had parts and characters I really enjoyed so they were okay. But man I just don't think I mentally have it in me to watch everything anymore especially with the little time I have to watch it and definitely not if it's gonna be like She-Hulk story wise. What I'm getting from your review is maybe it's on par with The Falcon and the Winter Soldier perhaps which had some in which case I could be good with. Also sounds like from your ending ment describes if would have been best as a movie however maybe they chose to do a show when they made it less connected I'm guessing. But it really did have the look of a great movie from trailers.
So I was afraid the episode would not be good, because I feared that the story had written itself into a corner, and it had. That it was Giah and not Fury was not hard to guess. It was really the only move to play. And then they have Ritzon being a complete ass, and I guess he will go to war with the Asgardians now, but the show has kinda forgot there actually is another alien species on Earth that everyone knows about. But the President immediately going to complete asshole mode after being saved by Fury is actually really bad writing. And I would have accepted it more if he pointed out the Skrulls, still bad but I'd be more willing to handwave it, but he mentioned all aliens, like the show completely has forgotten there are other aliens around. Also Gravik's speech was not great. This show has had really good acting, dialogue and speeches, but in this episode it was just off. Did the strike begun before this episode was written, and they had Bob from accounting write it or something?
I must have missed something (or it was a plot hole) but when did G'iah get the Harvest from Fury? The last time I remember us seeing them meet was before Fury went to retrieve it in the old meeting room. This episode was also way too short and it felt very rushed. Part of it just felt empty to me. Not to mention how they somehow got powers from characters who were not in End Game and the battle. The first 3 episodes were so good, but looking back it feels like it got worse as it went. The shorter runtime from one episode to the next didn't help either.
The acting/performances throughout the season was the highlight but not much else really worked for me and the finale was underwhelming and just some odd creative choices that unfortunately made me dislike the finale and ultimately the series as a whole.
See this is why you’re one of my favorite reactors because you don’t try to give this “movie/tv show critic” type of review for everything, you’re honest and genuine but also don’t sound like a bot trying to say critic type verbiage if you get what I mean, I loved this show and I’m glad you enjoyed it, can’t wait for the next reactions 🤝

The new law that the president set includes skrulls, asgardians, Thor, Drax, Mantis, Rocket, Groot, Nebula and the Xander population including the Nova Corpe. Earth's police force couldn't even defeat Drax and Mantis. What about half humans, half aliens like Captain Marvel and Star Lord?

I don't get how they had Hulk's powers because Hulk is powered from gamma radiation, and they say that Skrulls are immune to radiation, so I didn't think that they were able to duplicate Hulk's powers.
His DNA is what allowed gamma radiation to power him. Also, radiation resistance just means radiation doesn't destroy your cells. That's what Hulk does. These features are not exclusive. The only that that would have changed is her cells absorb the radiation instead of simply ignoring it
Fury explained that Gravik collected the Avengers' DNA after Endgame. So he was in good terms with Fury at that time, so there's no reason for him to replace Rhodey until Fury's second absence
This show completely fell apart in the back half. Worst final episode of any of these D+ shows, makes every other finale look absolutely golden in comparison.
This was the pure definition of a mixed bag. I enjoyed the Super Skrull battle, but I didn't like how short this episode was. I liked what this show sets up, but I didn't like how VERY noticeable the CGI was. I liked how this episode will bring about a lot of stuff that will call back to this show, but I didn't like how everything was rushed. Overall, I found this show to be quite decent. Emilia Clarke earned her paycheck, for sure!!! I STILL don't care what anyone says. I'm still knee-deep in the MCU, and I will continue to be until I'm 6 feet under. Best believe that Season 2 is a sure thing. For real.
It was a nice summer show for me. I don’t get too pressed about TV shows like I used to. People might need to change their mindset when it comes to expectations from Disney and Marvel.
When I saw the episode's runtime before loading it up, I was like, "I'm not sure that's enough time to wrap up everything in a reasonably satisfying way." The G'iah vs Gravik fight was pretty exciting though. And like you, I also got a real kick out of seeing Kingsley Ben-Adir in the Barbie movie and this series at the same time. XD
Incredible Hulk Iron Man 2&3 Thor: TDW Ant-Man 1&2 These are movies in the Infinity Saga that weren't insanely popular with fans or critics, and had there been shows during then, there would have been a few of those. Yes, you can see so far in the MV Saga basically all its clunkers have been worse than these at least critically. The shows have made it feel overstuffed (some of their hand was forced by the pandemic), and the multiverse itself has felt disjointed at times, but the notion the MCU is in this epic collapse is just absurd. WandaVision, Loki, Moon Knight, and Ms. Marvel have all received critical acclaim, and the only show that's seemed downright unpopular with a large portion of the fanbase is She-Hulk. Shang-Chi, Spider-Man: NWH, Wakanda Forever, GOTG 3, MoM and Holiday Special, and Werewolf by Night have all either been acclaimed or at the very least positively received. Marvel isn't immune from criticism, and they definitely need to clean some things up, but especially with the actors/writers strike, it's become annoyingly popular to hate everything the studio does because...reasons.
So you're telling me that falcon winter soldier, infinity war, and end game Rhodes was a skrull?! I don't like that one bit honestly. I hope I'm wrong.
Well I watched all 6 episodes and it kept me guessing why I watched it because I’m a serious fan of Emilia Clarke I think talos was taken out a bit to quick but I’m seriously glad gravik was killed otherwise earth 🌍 would have been empty waste land with no humans whatsoever no buildings nothing so Giah actually saved the planet 🌎 from destruction overall Secret Invasion was absolutely amazing brilliant acting 🎭 brilliant writing brilliant scripts incredible story love it ❤️❤️❤️❤️
Ridiculous and fun as it was with Giah getting overpowered with most of the MCU characters' DNA now imbued within her, now the hierarchy of power in the MCU is highly questionable after this.
We sad😩, no Agents of Shield showed up. Rhodey has been gone since Civil War. Don’t worry if you think G’iah is too powerful. Hawkeye already came up with some arrows to stop het in case she goes bad.
I think a good way to describe this episode could be, it was awesome until it wasn't. Pretty underwhelming how the immediate threats were taken out. Seeing the impact Ritson's address to the world was cool and I hope that's followed up on strongly in either Brave New World or Armor Wars (I feel like that would fit more in Brave New World). I feel like a good idea would be to have Thunderbolt Ross having been the Vice President for Ritson, and now he uses the existence of Skrulls among humanity as a way to grab power. Someone could claim that Ritson is a Skrull and then someone decides to assassinate him the way the British PM was in universe, and thus Ross becomes President and can now manipulate the office to his liking. Maybe he's the one who threw out the first accusation, or we find out later that he set this idea in motion. I can see something cool coming for this in the next Captain America, but it didn't get me anymore excited than I already was for The Marvels. I am hopeful for that movie but it's not something I'm expecting the be amazing like No Way Home or Endgame. Oh, I am also actually excited to see Olivia Coleman's character again though.
I absolutely hated the Fury / Gaia swap-out just after such impactful dialogue, the rings and tattoos carrying over to the super-skrull transformations, and skrodey’s anticlimactic death scene have to be some of the most disappointing moments in the MCU to me, though I did really enjoy the beginning scenes as well as where it left off. I can deal with Talos’ death and the pace of the previous 5 episodes, I still think they’re some of the best in the MCU, but this final episode just tanked so much of my enjoyment.
Yet another disappointing Marvel series finale on Disney + and they all end the same way. Rushed ending big CGI fight and yes even a sky beam at the end. And a 30 minute series finale really Disney? From episode 3 on they were all 35 minutes or less that is just being cheap.
I think we will get a continuation of this in The Marvels, Captain America 4 of how Ross becomes the new president, and perhaps also Armor Wars with Rhodey.
Your video is the only one I would watch. Because you still have a positive outlook to it. I still enjoyed it. I think it would would have been great as a movie. But we have to think about the power that be at Disney who probably tell these writers, and others they have an alotted time to get their story out...
If there was a chance that he would do more of a search for another planet for the skrulls, it's possible that in The Marvels, they do have another land in the galaxy for them to inhabit. 🤨
The 35 min runtime does make me thinkl there was more to this episode especially in the aftermath where it just sort of ends with no hint towards future projects
At the end of the day, a viewer of the Marvels or any project having to do with Skrulls, did not miss a lot from not seeing this. In the beginning I felt there would be some growth for Fury given so many people were impacted by him isolating at the space station, but I saw very little growth in him which was disappointing. Total waste of Emily Clarke unless her character and powers will be used in other projects. I liked the first 4 episodes better than the last 2 which were not delivering on a character study of Nick Fury.
The best I can say about this series is the acting and dialogue are consistently good through out the 6 episodes. More so than the rest of the Marvel series. It's the story that falls a bit flat towards the end for me. Always the potential that never get fully realized. It's frustrating because Disney plus has the freedom not to stick to any length per episode nor should it restrict itself to a 6 episodes arc. In terms of the violence in this series, I hope Disney is prepping its viewers for the Daredevil Reborn series. Anything less than the Netflix Marvel series is not going to cut it. If Secret Invasion story is so so, I am not looking forward to Echo and Iron Heart. I don't need Disney plus turning Marvel series into an over budget CW network.
Marvel needs to weed out shows like Echo which didn't need to be made and instead make something like Secret Invasion 9 or 10 episodes like it needed to be. Wandavison worked because they actually gave that show 9 episodes even though like most Marvel shows the ending was rushed never the less we felt like we really knew Wanda after the show ended. And not every 3rd rate Marvel hero needs their own series.
@@dsfddsgh Disney plus was caught in a perfect storm during the pandemic lockdown that saw people around the world was hunger for contents. It’s what was propelling The Mandalorian season 2, Wandavision and the subsequent Marvel series. It will be tough for Disney plus to duplicate that kind of hype. Not even Daredevil Reborn is going to do that for the streaming service.
@@TheBambinoitaliano It's more then hype though Wandavision and the first two seasons of the Mandalorian were really good but the quality has been on decline for the last 18 months for both Marvel shows and the Mandalorian.
Great reaction! Thanks for continuing to produce great content during this time. I'm really mixed on this series. Stellar acting and terrific dialogue, but lost amid uneven pacing, poor storytelling and science WTFery. I felt that Emilia Clarke was hired just for her name; she's a great actress and they gave her nothing to do. Olivia Colman shined in every scene she had, which were far too few. The deaths of Maria and Talos ultimately were for nothing; consequences without payoff. Gravik was so anticlimactically defeated. This finale was exactly of the type satirized in the She-Hulk finale. Lots of flash and plot that doesn't resolve anything.
Everyone in the compound that was being impersonated was wearing the clothes when they were taken I am assuming and Rhodey was wearing a hospital gown it looked like. Was he there since he was hurt not long after civil war you think?? That and he had a hard time using his legs so that injury is still very prominent there
Is it bad that I didn't like this episode as a whole? I liked episodes 1-5, but episode 6 felt so rushed and open-ended. I wish this could have been a season finale for 1-2 hrs. I also think the Secret Invasion storyline would have been a better overarching storyline for the new phases instead of the multiverse stuff, and more grounded. I think I liked Sonya, Raava, and Fury/Varra's chemistry. I love them as a couple-- Fury and Varra. SPOILERS: I'm also still sad that Talos died and was just tossed off the show like it was nothing 🙁.
I felt like the cliffhanger story is infinitely more interesting than the story of the actual show. Like the events of this episode should’ve been the inciting incident for the series.
Instead of shortening episodes they could have included Gravik's back story in previously very little cgi necessary. They should have padded all of the run times with this great dialog 🖖😎👍
Overall an ok show, great performances, really like the spy level stuff, but man the storytelling was all over the place! Too many cooks in the kitchen, trying to tell too many stories, and in the end doing them all badly. Maria Hill and Talos died for nothing, Gravik's story ended up sounding like the whining of a spoiled brat. We should have seen his disillusionment, even a couple of flashbacks would have helped! This way he just ended up being Veruka Salt. "Daddy Fury, you promised me a new planet! I want it! I want it NOW!" Way to drop the ball Marvel. 🤦 I'm kinda disappointed...
My problem came when Fury took his wife back to saber with him. This woman was colluding with the enemy!! Even though she didn't shoot him she was still working with/for Gravic. Even if I loved someone, that would be the point of no return for me.

The show was ok but There was plotholes and unanswered questions I might cancel my subscription
Just 5'2 Emilia Clarke being an op cutie patootie. I'm not big on DBZ but am I thinking of Pan right now?
Yet another disappointing Marvel series finale on Disney + and they all end the same way. Rushed ending big CGI fight and yes even a sky beam at the end. And a 30 minute series finale really Disney? From episode 3 on they were all 35 minutes or less that is just being cheap.
So G'iah is like, the most powerful person in the MCU now right?
And we know now Fury calls at the end last episode G'hia and secret invasion plays after the marvels
I think we will get a continuation of this in The Marvels, Captain America 4 of how Ross becomes the new president, and perhaps also Armor Wars with Rhodey.
This series gets a C minus. Really disappointing, despite some good acting.
I smell a unrated cut coming. They were a lot of scenes cut from the show.
Your video is the only one I would watch. Because you still have a positive outlook to it. I still enjoyed it. I think it would would have been great as a movie. But we have to think about the power that be at Disney who probably tell these writers, and others they have an alotted time to get their story out...
how did they get Ghost's blood? Did I hear wrong, or was the blood only from heroes from the battle of Earth?
Awww... I've got one of my cats on my lap watching too :)
seems we've had Skrodie since post Civil War
Still think Ritson is Talos (playing the looooong game).
I thought it was always supposed to be small scale
At the end of the day, a viewer of the Marvels or any project having to do with Skrulls, did not miss a lot from not seeing this. In the beginning I felt there would be some growth for Fury given so many people were impacted by him isolating at the space station, but I saw very little growth in him which was disappointing. Total waste of Emily Clarke unless her character and powers will be used in other projects. I liked the first 4 episodes better than the last 2 which were not delivering on a character study of Nick Fury.
I was expecting the president to be revealed as a Kree at the end.
Not gonna lie. I'm disappointed in the way it ended
Fakes reaction I have ever seen in my entire life
i love G'iah, she's so cool
11:55 Another little hint at discrimination towards mutants?
That and he had a hard time using his legs so that injury is still very prominent there
Humans going full"Other" Humans at the end,
Finally an end too the "Ism's"that humans learn...
I truly wish that almost every marvel show finale wasn’t rushed. Literally all of them except the first couple shows felt so rushed towards the end
Rhodey has been in there for so long, he doesn't know that a Skrull stole an Iron Man suit wearing his face.
Another marvel show with a very lackluster and predictable ending. Not the worst she imo but could have been better.
Only you. No one cares about your opinion
They shouldn’t have killed Gravik like that
Is it bad that I didn't like this episode as a whole? I liked episodes 1-5, but episode 6 felt so rushed and open-ended. I wish this could have been a season finale for 1-2 hrs.
I also think the Secret Invasion storyline would have been a better overarching storyline for the new phases instead of the multiverse stuff, and more grounded.
I think I liked Sonya, Raava, and Fury/Varra's chemistry. I love them as a couple-- Fury and Varra.
SPOILERS:
I'm also still sad that Talos died and was just tossed off the show like it was nothing 🙁.
Loki was open ended too.
Also it is gonna have consequences in at least Armor Wars.
I felt like the cliffhanger story is infinitely more interesting than the story of the actual show. Like the events of this episode should’ve been the inciting incident for the series.
Agreed
Instead of shortening episodes they could have included Gravik's back story in previously very little cgi necessary. They should have padded all of the run times with this great dialog 🖖😎👍
👍✨🌏✅🆘
At first I had this show as my favorite over Moon Knight but now I got it as my 3rd after Moon Knight and TFAWS. So many questions left unanswered
i really set myself up for failure, cause i expected way more of the last episode, didn't like it.
"did you take a stupid pill with your breakfast" best thing to come out of that episode.
Same. I expected more.
