Whoever the guy in the returning white boat with the straked bottom and a destroyer bow is, it was a real treat to see someone operating a boat who knew exactly what he was doing. We like keeping the drama low. Although it doesn’t sell as good LOLOLOL! NOW I SEE he was going out into steep chop in the shot immediately before the one as they returned, and he did about as well leaving as returning. "Slow is Pro".
Great video. You do a masterful job at your craft. So many beautiful boats. Are there places that rent the more expensive ones? I ask because it seems most operators drive them as if they are rented or stolen.
13:23 Why would anyone name a boat Atlantis? I would think the first rule of a good boat name is to name it after something that is not well known for sinking.
Some observations. Good day to stay in the ICW, fueling your boat on the go is certainly not a good idea and worse when water is thrown into the tank area, top off at the fuel dock. The Midnight had all the passengers in the back, smart move on the skipper’s part. And that Whaler needs a good cleaning. In am not a CC man but the big Midnights et al are impressive. Pershings are the Darth Vaders of yachts. And finally a salute to the “Coasties”!
I have a question and hope I don’t get beat up a bunch because of it. First off I have absolutely 0 experience running a boat in the ocean I run a small 16/56 jet boat on Missouri rivers and lakes. I know there are weather stations that tells some stuff like how tall the waves and stuff are what direction the wind is. But my question is there a certain station or even an App that’s just for Haulover that contains the info for just this inlet. Maybe tide, current, wind, hight and how wide the average trough is??
These people are too stupid to care about actual seamanship, this is all an exercise in vanity to them. If there's no one to watch their boats, you'd think they'd have them? Its such a joke, when something goes wrong, life & death serious, then they see the reality of everything. Excess will do that to nearly everyone.
Axopar hull design is way more effective than I expected. Seems to belie it’s appearance, handling those big rollers very well indeed. Very surprising. Not at all what I expected to see, given how low its gunwale is to the waterline. The Freeman has a hull that looks fit for the big rollers. Look at how high the Freeman’s gunwale sits abou even the water.
I presume that on days where there whitecaps from Haulover on out the the open water, there are small craft warnings. Does no one in Florida pay attention to those?
I did not enjoy this video, I kept fast forwarding to see the boat sink. If it had been called “watch these boaters enjoy big waves”, I would have relaxed and enjoyed the video.
So, I've followed you for awhile and recently took a trip to Flordia. After I got there I walked outside to check things out and said "this place looks familiar!" It's where you shoot the vids!! lol! I was staying at the Ritz Bal Harbour.
Meh - it's a Midnight Express - those thing are made to be submarines. It's almost a miracle when one doesn't do a deep dive in any sort of choppy ocean. You should do a vid just on MEs going nose first into waves. Surely you have more than enough footage for a feature video!
I assume all coast guard crews *wear* their life jackets? If so, why isn't that required by *all* boaters. I know in Ontario we are required to have one jacket for each person in the boat but these guys are going through waves that mimic a vicious storm on any lake.
@@duanesamuelson2256 Yes, I remember someone posted that a while back. Thanks for clarifying it, Duane. Thing is, in the real world, rules like that are completely inadequate and should only be regarded as basic guidelines. When boats like the ones shown in these videos are taking on Haulover, I would think common sense would dictate that PFDs should be worn. These are not normal waters. I sure as hell wouldn't go out without wearing one, unless I was on an exceptionally large craft.
In Australia you would be in deep shit if crossing a bar or inlet without bouyancy vests or lifejackets on. It's the law plus common bloody sense. Obviously money does not include common sense.
I'm an American grew up in Ohio on the Ohio River and we're not like this at all. These people are idiots mix with idiots with too much money 💰💰💰💰 doing dumb things. Hence Florida man references 😅😂
Because Australia is an authoritarian nanny state country, our censorship of games and the way the gov locked us up during covid was bloody insane. Only nz is worse. I've since left and will never return.
I'll say it again, this parade of boats going in and out of the inlet, where are they going, this cannot be fun the way the boats are behaving in the heavy surf, or is this just a cat walk to show off the boats ???/
Same as Oklahoma if your over 18 the government doesn't interfere in your life, but under 18 are required while under power and vests are required for everyone on the boat and a throwable floatation device.
@@OKBadBoats I live in pa and if you do that you get an expensive fine I think adults are allowed not to wear one but have to have it close by I might have it wrong though the best day of my life was buying the boat and selling it 👌
I CANT BELIEVE HOW MUCH MONEY SOME PEOPLE ARE WILLING TO SPEND JUST TO OUTSMART A FISH . BESIDES GETTING POUNDED AND ROLLED AROUND ALL THE TIME , EVEN WHEN THEY ARE OUT OF HAULOVER . REALLY STUPID ; PROBABLY STUPIDER THAN THE FISH ARE
No, by convention (and the flag act) national flags should always be flown above non national flags, so I guess they are actually anti-American! But Trump flags helpfully tells you they are low IQ so maybe just dumb.
4:22 This guy is a champ right here in opinion, he knows how to run the waves on the way in 👍🏻
Text book 😁
I didn't see any sinking boat!l
Well, it’s not like these "Credit Card Captains" are not trying!
Did I miss something? Where was the $1.5 million submarine???
😂
This is seldom mentioned but I'm sure everyone agrees - the video work in these clips is stellar 👍!!

Guy at 4:40 wouldn't have spilled his cup of tea he was so smooth
I didn’t see any submarines!
All good, great captures 👋👋👋👍
Thanks 👍
Big swell, a chop and windy ... let's go boating!
Excuse me but, where’s the sinking boat?
Great video. You do a masterful job at your craft. So many beautiful boats. Are there places that rent the more expensive ones? I ask because it seems most operators drive them as if they are rented or stolen.
Probably cost as much to insure a rental as to buy the boat itself 😜
7:27 Excellent job, keep that bow up 🤟🏻
I’ll take a North Carolina built boat with its distinct bow flare any day. They’re made for big seas.
13:23 Why would anyone name a boat Atlantis?
I would think the first rule of a good boat name is to name it after something that is not well known for sinking.
The wipers on those Pershings would drive me nuts.
For that kind of money, get me synchronous wipers!
I wonder what the story is with those goofy things....must be a reason for it, I would hope 😂
If I had that kind of money I would hire a midget with a squeegee for each window.

Best clips. At end ITALIAN BOATS. BY FAR THE BETTER. PITY CLIPS WERE SHORTER. 🎉🎉🎉🎉
There are so many people without flotation devices on, especially in the little boats that look overloaded and put kids in the front of the boat.
1:17 that guy was not happy

The trick with the Axopar is to keep the speed just over planing.
I LOVE the design of those Freeman cats.
The Axopar crushed it
How does it feel when sitting on the boats? The waves coming in are so great
I presume that on days where there whitecaps from Haulover on out the the open water, there are small craft warnings. Does no one in Florida pay attention to those?
another "wait for it" that never happens
Being a fan of Alaska, I'd love to see a Hewescraft in Haulover.
NEVER HEARD OF THEM, BUT JUST LOOKED THEM UP. THESE ARE REALLY NICE BOATS AND LOOK PRETTY SEAWORTHY. THEY WOULD DO WELL UP HERE IN NEW ENGLAND!!!
unless it’s a center console you probably won’t see one in Florida
Just anther bait and switch.
I just can't understand how Pershing thinks that putting a huge window literally AT the waterline is a good idea?

That's awesome! The Ritz is the best resort in the area. Did you have a chance to say hi to my cameraman. Otherwise, next time!!
And STILL, the undisputed heavyweight champion of the bow stuffing world…..MIDNIGHT EXPRESSSSSSS. Here’s your belt, now back to the sand bar.
I have one question: on a day like that, WHY? If you're not fishing for dolphin in the gulfstream...

I didn't know a 200 HP Evinrude can run on water! Do the make cars 🤣? I'm buying one!!
Filling the tank on most of these vessels is serious play money.
Not to mention the water in the gas problem
1:24 what a disaster waiting to happen. no life jackets...unbelievable
Them midnight are no good in rough conditions bow is to low
Quad Mercury 400 ,how much fuel does that guzzle up?
White caps clear out in to the far far ocean and the toy boats come out to play.
Nice

8:56 you go big boy !! Love those flags !! That was worth seeing even if there were no fails. Don’t need, want or wish anyone to fail for real.
an Evinrude too, thats Balsy
Bilge pump test day. Fascinating; rough seas and not a PFD in sight. The parents of children that aren't in a PFD, should be criminally charged.
🎶 Going under 🎶..
1:22 Better late than never.
amazing
Are there no life vests for sale in the USA? Or are the boaters just so ignorant not to think about the people that eventually have to rescue them?
Why is Haulover inlet so nasty? Current? Depth? What is it?
A combination..it has current at all times flowing put. Always the swells coming in and add the tide flowing in or out other than slack tide.
Fearless or foolish. That is the question.
In Australia you would be in deep shit if crossing a bar or inlet without bouyancy vests or lifejackets on. It's the law plus common bloody sense. Obviously money does not include common sense.

Amen brother

Never!😮
it'll buff
are we havingfun yet
I know I have gotten old, none of this looks fun, not even a little. I will stay to my mountain ponds and lakes. Enjoy
WHAT IS THE BEST BOAT FOR HAUL COCAINE INLET?
It's all very well doing this when you have millions of dollars worth of fibreglass wrapped around you but let's see someone do it in a hoby cat.
If l invest 1.5 million in a toy l better need a pilot license to operate it
Not in a loaded 23ft cuddy cabin.
I'll say it again, this parade of boats going in and out of the inlet, where are they going, this cannot be fun the way the boats are behaving in the heavy surf, or is this just a cat walk to show off the boats ???/
No thanks. I'll take the inland lakes of Michigan.
WHY DOESN'T FLORIDA REQUIRE THEM TO WEAR LIFE JACKETS. IT'S THE LAW UP HERE IN NEW ENGLAND IN MOST OF OUR STATES.
Same with NJ and PA I think they think they are all like god up until they come to the point where they wished they had one.
Same as Oklahoma if your over 18 the government doesn't interfere in your life, but under 18 are required while under power and vests are required for everyone on the boat and a throwable floatation device.

So you to bagan to put in bull s... titles. Wont give it my time anymore

Yea we can definitely tax the rich more..
