Usually, thirty seconds after someone is trying to do a Zeppelin song I turn it off. He killed it with this one. His voice has that highness that Plant can get to. Well done Train.
Yes 30 seconds im gone or impressed. I stayed here
Totally surprised here too
Both covers are great. Which one is better? ua-cam.com/video/UbgOwwf_WK8/v-deo.html
You know the have a whole album. Train does zeppelin
Niiiiiice !
Gotta admit, I was doubtful at first but damn, they absolutely crushed it
Oh yeah!! 🔥🔥
agreed...
Except the drummer didnt play the bass drum pattern that makes the song unique.
Yep
Damn! Pat Monahan is one of the few people that can hit those notes with that rasp is his voice
Ya he made it look and sound super easy also
I was shocked at how good this was. Then I was pissed because Train could have been so much more than what they were.
ROFL!!!!!!
I agree 100%. They could’ve been so much better than what they were. I always knew that they were musically and instrumentally talented put them on your estimation they listed it.
Train was whatever there record company told them to play
lack of creativity compared to Led
They weren’t good lyricists but he can sing
That was INSANE!! One of the best covers of "Ramble On" I have heard!
DAAAAAMNNNN!! How am I just now seeing this! That was EXCELLENT!!!
I hear you! Where have I been? Almost beyond excellent!!!
The DNA for this performance comes from playing Led Zep in bars for YEARS before becoming an "overnight" sensation. Well doneTrain.
So true practice in bars is where greatness comes from not a damn tv show
This is an assembled band of LA hired guns. None of them were with Pat during those years.
@@stanley-fghijk441 Wrong. This is from 2001, which was the original lineup. Rob Hotchkiss, the acoustic guitar player, and the other guitarist, Jimmy Stafford, played many coffee shops with Pat around San Francisco in the mid 90's when he was definitely still perfecting his vocals. If you're talking about Pat's days back home in Erie then that's a different story.
Great cover love it x
This is one of the greatest covers of all time.
no Gene
To be fair...your cover-condidence seems to be limited, if saying that.
Not a Train fan, but they killed this. Really good cover.
Really good...how about epic?
Great
zep is epic ...this is not
This is surprisingly awesome! I think it's the best cover of Ramble On I've ever heard!
100
They done that justice, great track ☮️
Huge Zeppelin fan here. I saw them play in the 70’s, and I had every album. I was also a fan of Train. I have to say that this is an amazing cover!! I wish he would do more! ❤❤❤
They used to be a Zeppelin cover band. I saw Led Zeppelin every year 68 through 75 and I got married it was all over
OMG they are fantastic musicians.
Pat Monaghan is a superior singer. Covers Led Zeppelin and retains the soul of Pat Monaghan. Just excellent!
I don't know what it is about Zeppelins songs but it seems they are just so damn cool but only if the singer can capture the moment like they can
I agree, the singer usually makes or breaks a Zep cover.
Remember, this is essentially a live performance. Not sure what the haters’ excuses are for not appreciating this solid Zep cover. And like Zep, you’ve got quality musicians (4 vs3) with one of the very best lead singers in the business. Appropriate selection I wouldn’t have guessed they would do so well.
Led Zeppelin is the hardest rock band to cover well, and so you gotta give em credit
@@FPSBuzz I'd argue that it's Heart that's hardest to cover well. I've heard a ton of bands do Zeppelin pretty well, but I've only heard one or two women that come anywhere close to doing Ann Wilson justice.
@@sundaynightdrunk Gretchen Wilson. ua-cam.com/video/BqQkECIn738/v-deo.html 🔥🔥🔥💯
@@sundaynightdrunk , See Gretchen Wilson do Barracuda with Nancy Wilson and the boys from Alice in chains.
Pat is a master of his craft
I'm a huge huge Zeppelin fan. Now I'm a huge Pat fan❤
Pat's voice is insanely good
Smashed it! Possibly the best cover of Ramble On
Kudos to the audio engineer...excellent
One of the most underrated singers of my time.
Killer! Many of the greatest live performances of all time, courtesy of Howard! And his sound team always delivers; BIG TIME!
❤
OMG didn't think it was possible.....WOW love it
I wonder 🤔🤨 what Robert Plant thought of this ?? 🎤🎶🎵
That may be the best led zeppelin cover I've ever seen...
I saw them in the beginning they opened up for hootie and the blowfish cape cod melody tent .no one was paying attention to them and they sang this song raised alot of eyebrows.
As one who is difficult to impress,
That was Fucking great❗️👏🏻
So so beautiful. Thank you all.
His Voice is Magical !!! 💜💜💜
This is superb. What an amazing cover.
I legit remember hearing this live on my way to work. I remember being blown away and looking into this band called Train. The nostalgia is high with this one.
Best cover ever. Pat Monohan's voice is my #3 favorite before I saw this. He was truly blessed and I've seen this very tight knit band many times up close and personal! Love this!
Legendary rendition. Train rules! Thanks, Howard.
Real strong clear tight vocal I love this version. Robert Plant would tend the drift, fade, and drag out the vocal. This was perfect pitch.
Pat and the band are tight and Pats vocals are Powerful and Flawless…🤘
One of the best covers hands down..." DAMN THAT WAS GOOD ! "
Mind blowingly good!!! Covering Led Zeplin is like redo-ing the Mona Lisa BRAVO and this was an accident. a beautiful accident
I've always been a fan of Train music, and this just adds another dimension.
Who the heck are those 10 who disliked this cover ......
People must've clicked the video just to dislike it.
Dang! His voice!! 😱😱
Love Zeppelin and Train. They covered the entire Led Zeppelin II album.
Where can i find it man
@@mehulsinghtomar2049 Its a live album released in 2016
@@mehulsinghtomar2049 on Deezer and probably Spotify aswell
Correct, but this is the original lineup that wore that song out for practically every show when they were getting started in the mid 90's, which makes this performance that much more special. The cover album is a completely different lineup that was gradually put together since about 2009. Alot of turnover since 2002. The cover album is very good on it's own, but other than Pat on vocals you're not hearing the same musicians.

Just tour with Led covers from now on.
And I promise, myself and the world will come see that!
What a fantastic cover! I love it and keep coming back to listen.
All those little intricate details - Excellent Excellent Excellent!
Killer tune.
Amazing band.
Nothing else e to say.
I saw Pat back in the bar band days. I always gotta stop and listen when he sings Zeppelin.
Best cover version ive have ever seen ,not a train fan but pat is a seriously good singer great musician's too ,gilod led zeppelin really were the best rock band of all time what a tune
I saw them at Mountain Air in California must have been around 1995, they opened up with a Led Zeppelin song as I was walking my way to the concert area from camping all night. Sounded perfect, at the time I wasn't even sure what band was playing it until I got to the stage.
At first I had my doubts but train does a damn good cover of this. His vocals towards the end sound just like plant
Wow...... they knocked it out of the park💥
Wow... this is really cool cover
this is really a fantastic version. Well done
Nailed it!
Just damn. Saw you here in Tampa a couple of weeks ago. Phenomenal as always. Saw you when you were babies in Atlanta when Meet Virgina was hot. Pat... damn bro.
WOW....THEY KILLED IT
Absolutely Amazing! They did such an exceptional performance! I didn't expect this at all
*Eastside Low Bottoms sh*t !*
_Tappin' in from South Central Los Angeles_
Damn...that was gooood. Great sound quality. Howard gets great performances out of his guests.
✊🏾✊🏾
Train is a great band, and Ramble On sounds amazing!!
A musician I respect used to always tell me how great Train is. They are. Their commercial hits aren’t. Love all of this archive footage.
Damn didn’t think you could cover this tune and do it justice but they nailed it❤
Who is Train? WoW , they kicked ass on that & the lead singer did n amazing version of Ramble On ..
I didn't know he had that much range and grit to his voice. Drops of Jupiter didn't really showcase his full talents as a vocalist.
Absolutely the best cover I've heard.
Ohh wow i didnt see this coming absolutely superb
WHAT A VOICE!
Dang...well done, boys. The best cover of this tune I've ever heard
Wow, they crushed it! That was awesome!
Wow! This was a pleasant surprise...great version.
Congrats . It s absolutely beautiful.
Damn that was good! Bit time Zep fan here but they nailed this one!
Incredible voice, outstanding song!
I was not expecting this to be so great but wow that was legit
I love the train cover of Ramble on by Led Zeppelin an all-time classic song
WOW LZ is my favorite band and they killed this
Train's first album is really good
well done Pat from a huge Led Zeppelin fan
I wasn't sure what to expect but I sure didn't expect that!
Wow....most cover songs either ruin the original or take on a whole new form but this is rare. It stays very true to the original while still true to the band’s brand of sound.
Holy shit. This blew me away!!!
My 8 track used to change in the middle of that song.
It is near impossible do a decent Zeppelin cover, but wow did this exceed expectation. Kudos to train, brilliant cover!
Wow, an excellent rendition of this song👌
Oh my god! This is so powerful!
Damn, am I glad I found this....killer!
Absolutely stellar! Bravo 👏
Wow.... I have always known them as pop rock band... so I underrate them... but this was insane. Great. 🤟🏼❤
Great cover of a great song. 👍
My favorite Zepplin song. Great cover!
Absolutely fabulous!
Howard, Jesus… I love that Pat! There’s nothin I can do, except Ramble On…
Absolutely Awesome 👏🎤🎸
Completely awesome!
Hell of a cover!
I’m earlier than a rooster to wake you up in the mornin
I wake up so early, that I wake you up to go wake up the roosters!
What a great tune that is.
Best version ever
Studio always sounds amazing
I play guitar but can't stop listening to drummer. What's his name?
Impressive voice timber which totally fit with the song . . . What's more the other band members made a great job!
Classic fabulousness🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟
Great version and ZEP would be damn proud 🎶🎵🎤
Not a train fan.... But WOW. 👍
