By far the best video I have seen in explaining the EQ settings. Seriously, I honestly watched about 40 different video- trying to find explanations in such settings; the why's, hows etc... and was still left confused.! Your video is straight to the point and easy to understand. Now I'm going to properly retune my new aftermarket radio EQ settings...Thanks!!
Man, this is what I've been looking for. I've never understood how to set a graphic eq or crossover on the radio. You're the only video that went into details about what each thing means. Thank you for that.
I don’t know how many videos I watched….. This one right here was so clear and understandable compared to any other video I watched. Thanks man, Subbed 👍
been getting into subs the past couple of months stumbled across this video by far the best job explaining it, watched it a few times and my subs finally sound like they should 🙏
Thanks for the info. I'm new to stereo equipment, especially with cars. I recently installed a Sony receiver that has a built-in mosfet (45W RMS) and an amplified 10" subwoofer. I did some research on how to set up the LPF/HPF slope. Your video is the easiest to understand. I have mine set up the same as you do. I noticed an 80Hz LPF on the sub sounds best for me. I want the lows to just barely be noticeable. I'm not a big fan of blasting/bumping music to the point where the cars next to me are judgemental of my musical preferences 😃
You don't know how valuable this was for me! I just got the pioneer 2260nex and everything you just explained was clear and to the point. So thank you!! I subd ya. If you have any info on what my phase button does, I would appreciate a short answer for a guy just getting back into the car stereo stuff again. I know that phase is loaded thing to talk about all in it's self so a short answer is good for me. Lol thanks again!!! Love your videos.
Hey jp, how does messing with the eq settings or special effects effect the gain settings when using amps, im more worried about the fx on kenwoods because they really make my system sound better but worried might take me into clipping
Very informative video! I just installed a alpine ilx-w670 in my 08 4runner that had the factory jbl sound system that I retained. The music sounded worse than with the original radio so I’m going to play with these settings
Sorry for the late question. I noticed that the sw level is greyed out on your radio. I just installed a dmx907s and it looks the same. My subwoofer amp isn't getting a signal. Am I missing a setting to turn the subwoofer on? I'd appreciate any help you can give. Love your videos! Thanks!
so if I want to set my SUB x-over thru my Head Unit, but my AMP doesn’t have an option to turn OFF my LPF, what do I set the AMP LPF to if I want to use the head unit for it’s more accurate numbers?
after i set up everything i hear the speakers from the front and back with alot of distorsion like theres alot of base even though on the cross over i have all the bass down just mids and alot bit of vocals

@@fomayeugene9333 awesome I'm glad this video helped
If you have a sub amp do you leave all that crossover flat on the headunit?

Very well explained bro, good stuff!
Does 2 way speakers system with passive crossover needs to tune the Crossover at the Kenwood?
Thank you.

What do the gain do on the cross over setting?
after i set up everything i hear the speakers from the front and back with alot of distorsion like theres alot of base even though on the cross over i have all the bass down just mids and alot bit of vocals
Thanks bud, your video was very helpful. System sounds amazing now 👍🏼
What would you reccomend on the crossover for some 6x8 80w RMS speakers? It says they go to 48hz but i get some weird sounds occasionally
Thanks for the video ✌
Glad it helped
Very cool bud!
But how do you the options like equalizer and stuff. I just got the same radio and can’t figure it out?
Which Kenwood Headunit is this in the video?
Why does my stereo only let me mess with the speaker setting in watch speaker only on cd 💿 ?
What do I set it on if I have a single cab 1500 gmc? I’m guessing subcompact, due to the small cabin area?
just seen this and bro your at 81k subscribers 👏
Thank you
My eq is not highlighting like your but fader/balance are highlighted
Why is my eq is fade out I can get in it
Thanks
thanks broski.
no problem man
Thank you for the video, after watching it i stil understand f*ck all. Im about to copie the settings you just did and see if it sounds any better.
for subs 40 to 50 hertz is for lows and for big subs look at m video of my 2011 Lincoln Town Car
I'm still confused lol
How about fade & balance when connected to an amp. 2 channel, 4 channel etc...
