IDC what genre it is, but when Brake dropped the Charlie Daniels reference "the devil went down to Georgia but he didn't stick around," that is a universal BAR.
I’m 29 and just met God about a year ago and it’s changed my life. Still getting into some trouble here and there but I haven’t felt more purpose and a unique outlook on life as I’ve had recently.
Im proud to be from the South, South carolina that is and god is predominant in this land. City folks may look down upon us backwoods conservative folks for our old ways but we are the ones that keep this country strong!
I’m from a farm in the Midwest, running cattle , fishing and hunting were just apart of it. And every animals life I took since I was 6 years old I prayed over. God bless you
The scenes in the video, the drama of the music, THE LYRICS, Blake's voice, the truth of what this song is stating-only a handful of songs make me feel that kind of emotion. Music is suppose to unite people and this song is definitely one most of us can listen to and all of us say "Damn Straight".
"We have to get back to that." YOU SAID IT MEL. Thankfully, some of us have never lost it. I am a hippy hearted tree hugging nature loving soul and I know "I'm not the only one" ( John Lennon ).
I just found you two, and I adore you and wish we were neighbors. I love your love and your attitude towards what is important in life. This is missing in so many people. ❤️
The thing I like the most about this song, the simplicity in the few words. The chorus is catchy, but it’s the verses that drive it home because they aren’t long winded or trying to sound the greatest it’s just raw powerful and meaningful more than anything. This is the vest example of LESS is MORE
I just joined your channel as you were reviewing Hardy, Wait in the Truck, just wanted you to know Hardy wrote this song. Blake covered it for him to get him some exposure and also Blake loved the song so he recorded it. If you get a chance listen to Hardy’s original acoustic version from three years ago it is just as powerful. Hardy is the real deal. Love you both!
I'm an Okie from Oklahoma. I think it is was very interesting that you mentioned tornados since we get allot of tornados here. I'm proud to be an Okie. We have great roots.
You guys really make my day. If you haven’t yet, you should react to Brooks and Dunn Believe. So good guys. Thanks for being so positive. Sending much love to both of you.
I really enjoy watching you 2 interact with each other and with your followers. Im a nurse i work long hours and days to help take care of the sick. I watch you on my breaks and at my lunch. Thank you all so much
Great song choice I love country music and I love Blake Shelton he has a knack of picking number one songs or writing number one's with him what you see is what you get met him in 2001 along with Trace Adkins and both were so down to earth and humble they both autographed my acoustic guitar
Blake’s voice is on point, but the credit goes to Hardy for writing this powerful song. A Mississsippi boy who was inspired while sitting in a tree stand deer hunting one morning at sunrise. (hence the line about sitting in the back 40 [acres] on the muddy riverside). Check out his own stuff that’s pretty funny, like “Rednecker”
As you know Blake is a judge on The Voice & is now married to Gwen Stefani, from the band 'No Doubt'. They have a couple great duets together you must check out. 'Nobody but you' is a sexy love song & 'Anywhere with you' is a fun love song. Both are awesome & my favs by them. Blake also has some great tunes & I love some of his earlier ones like 'Ol' Red' & 'Home'. He's a baby in those.
He’s been nominated for 9 Grammies .. he should have won for this song !! Willie Nelson beat him out but no one knows what Willie sang !! Blake’s song was the biggest song of the year !’ I lv me some Willie but Blake should have won
The song was written by country artist Hardy, who started out writing songs for a bunch of famous artists such as Blake Shelton and the superstar Morgan Wallen. Today most songs he wrote now have a tag from the singing artist "Written by Hardy". If you liked this, you would like Hardy. All of his songs are next level with how he packs in depth and background meanings to his lyrics.
He had a tornado relief concert for Oklahoma when they got hit back .. Usher came out and sang Home w him !! It was awesome !! They raised a lot of money for Oklahoma
If you haven't heard The Devil Went Down to Georgia by The Charlie Daniels Band which is referenced in this song, I HIGHLY encourage you to do so now! 💗💗💗
This song totally rocks! GOD’S COUNTRY Songwriters: Devin Dawson / Jordan Schmidt / Michael Wilson Hardy Right outside of this one church town There's a gold dirt road to a whole lot of nothin' Got a deed to the land, but it ain't my ground This is God's country We pray for rain, and thank Him when it's fallen 'Cause it brings a grain and a little bit of money We put it back in the plate I guess that's why they call it God's country I saw the light in the sunrise Sittin' back in a 40 on the muddy riverside Gettin' baptized in holy water and 'shine With the dogs runnin' Saved by the sound of the been found Dixie whistled in the wind, that'll get you Heaven bound The Devil went down to Georgia but he didn't stick around This is God's country We turned the dirt and worked until the week's done We take a break and break bread on Sunday And then do it all again 'Cause we're proud to be from God's country (yeah, yeah) I saw the light in the sunrise Sittin' back in a 40 on the muddy riverside Gettin' baptized in holy water and 'shine With the dogs runnin' Saved by the sound of the been found Dixie whistled in the wind, that'll get you Heaven bound The Devil went down to Georgia but he didn't stick around This is God's country (yeah) God's country I don't care what my headstone reads Or what kind of pinewood box I end up in When it's my time, lay me six feet deep In God's country (yeah, yeah) I saw the light in the sunrise Sittin' back in a 40 on the muddy riverside Gettin' baptized in holy water and 'shine With the dogs runnin' Saved by the sound of the been found Dixie whistled in the wind, that'll get you Heaven bound The devil went down to Georgia but he didn't stick around This is God's country (God's country) Yeah, I saw the light in the sunrise Sittin' back in a 40 on the muddy riverside Gettin' baptized in holy water and 'shine With the dogs runnin' Saved by the sound of the been found Dixie whistled in the wind, that'll get you Heaven bound The Devil went down to Georgia but he didn't stick around This is God's country
You should check out Toby Keith. He has some deep songs but most of the time he does not take himself too seriously, with both videos and songs being entertaining.
Great reaction, being a fellow Okie always liked Blake's sound. That being said would like to hear your reaction to some red dirt country. William Clarke Green has some great songs, one you should check out is she loves horses. Keep up the great work.
Love your reaction. If you really look at the video, he is showing how the environment is changing with the drought dry land, fires and storms. If people start believing that this is Gods country and respect it things may change
The old video/photos of the dry land are from the Dust Bowl which occurred in Oklahoma between 1934 to 1940. Those aren't storms, just windy Oklahoma which is an everyday occurrence due to where Oklahoma is located in the United States. I think he is showing how harsh the land is and how people who love God's Country stick it out year after year to farm in spite of it's harshness.
IDC what genre it is, but when Brake dropped the Charlie Daniels reference "the devil went down to Georgia but he didn't stick around," that is a universal BAR.
Absolutely!!!! ❤️
Exactly the line that sold me completely!
It’s country
Modern Country.
big facts

I’m 29 and just met God about a year ago and it’s changed my life. Still getting into some trouble here and there but I haven’t felt more purpose and a unique outlook on life as I’ve had recently.
cringe
The way I see it this song is the literal definition of being raised in the Bible Belt this is pure Southern Living and we love every bit of it
Im proud to be from the South, South carolina that is and god is predominant in this land. City folks may look down upon us backwoods conservative folks for our old ways but we are the ones that keep this country strong!
So am I! Proud to be from Spartanburg SC!
I’m from a farm in the Midwest, running cattle , fishing and hunting were just apart of it. And every animals life I took since I was 6 years old I prayed over. God bless you
BEST REACTION TO THIS SONG EVER! God bless you both!
If you're in the mood Blake has a couple of fun party songs too..."Boys Round Here" and "Hell Right".
I love those two songs and Ole Red, though that one ain't a party song..
Hell right! 😉
Bless you both!! 😎. Amen!
🙏🏻 “Gods country!” Gotta love Blake! :) I agree... he nailed this song!
100% he did!!
The scenes in the video, the drama of the music, THE LYRICS, Blake's voice, the truth of what this song is stating-only a handful of songs make me feel that kind of emotion. Music is suppose to unite people and this song is definitely one most of us can listen to and all of us say "Damn Straight".

Great reaction you two! Mel is right we do need to get back to living like Blake talks about in this song. Lotsa love to you both ✌️
I just found you two, and I adore you and wish we were neighbors. I love your love and your attitude towards what is important in life. This is missing in so many people. ❤️
Your so right, we need to understand this is God’s country. We are all here temporarily 🙏🇺🇸❤️
The thing I like the most about this song, the simplicity in the few words. The chorus is catchy, but it’s the verses that drive it home because they aren’t long winded or trying to sound the greatest it’s just raw powerful and meaningful more than anything. This is the vest example of LESS is MORE
George Straight handed the main man of country torch to Blake Shelton…..he’s amazing!
God didn't forget America, a lot of America forgot God. God bless you both.

Love your honest reaction. You're right on Mel. Love you both.
"Getting baptized in holy water and shine with the dogs running." Poetry.
I think Blake is the best country artist In the past 5 years in my opinion
Great song choice I love country music and I love Blake Shelton he has a knack of picking number one songs or writing number one's with him what you see is what you get met him in 2001 along with Trace Adkins and both were so down to earth and humble they both autographed my acoustic guitar

GOD’S COUNTRY
Songwriters: Devin Dawson / Jordan Schmidt / Michael Wilson Hardy
Right outside of this one church town
There's a gold dirt road to a whole lot of nothin'
Got a deed to the land, but it ain't my ground
This is God's country
We pray for rain, and thank Him when it's fallen
'Cause it brings a grain and a little bit of money
We put it back in the plate
I guess that's why they call it God's country
I saw the light in the sunrise
Sittin' back in a 40 on the muddy riverside
Gettin' baptized in holy water and 'shine
With the dogs runnin'
Saved by the sound of the been found
Dixie whistled in the wind, that'll get you Heaven bound
The Devil went down to Georgia but he didn't stick around
This is God's country
We turned the dirt and worked until the week's done
We take a break and break bread on Sunday
And then do it all again
'Cause we're proud to be from God's country (yeah, yeah)
I saw the light in the sunrise
Sittin' back in a 40 on the muddy riverside
Gettin' baptized in holy water and 'shine
With the dogs runnin'
Saved by the sound of the been found
Dixie whistled in the wind, that'll get you Heaven bound
The Devil went down to Georgia but he didn't stick around
This is God's country (yeah)
God's country
I don't care what my headstone reads
Or what kind of pinewood box I end up in
When it's my time, lay me six feet deep
In God's country (yeah, yeah)
I saw the light in the sunrise
Sittin' back in a 40 on the muddy riverside
Gettin' baptized in holy water and 'shine
With the dogs runnin'
Saved by the sound of the been found
Dixie whistled in the wind, that'll get you Heaven bound
The devil went down to Georgia but he didn't stick around
This is God's country (God's country)
Yeah, I saw the light in the sunrise
Sittin' back in a 40 on the muddy riverside
Gettin' baptized in holy water and 'shine
With the dogs runnin'
Saved by the sound of the been found
Dixie whistled in the wind, that'll get you Heaven bound
The Devil went down to Georgia but he didn't stick around
This is God's country
I'm a about 35-40 miles from where Blake Shelton is from, here in Oklahoma
Yes and amen! ♾🙏👑🙏♾🌎🌏🌍🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸
Gotta love Blake, in his early years he had a funny side, listen to ol red, and some beach.
Sending love from white conservative, follower of Jesus. He's coming soon.
Enjoy the reviews! Y’all are real and that’s refreshing
I dont listen to country but this one changed my opinion on the genre
You should check out Toby Keith. He has some deep songs but most of the time he does not take himself too seriously, with both videos and songs being entertaining.
Very few songs played on country stations are real country. If you like this song, you will like real country.
Great reactions as

Don't be ashamed of the gospel! Nothing! But the Blood of Jesus Christ!

Love this song, but watching that sand blow reminds me of growing up in the 50's in the Texas Panhandle.
I can relate to that as I was raised in the Texas panhandle in 80’s and 90’s. The wind rarely ever stops blowing.
Greatest song Blake Shelton ever sang. This is what President Trump was trying to bring us back too , GODS COUNTRY.. MAGA 🇺🇸
I love this song ❤❤
Awesome reaction, God bless
great reaction, enjoyed it
Please react to Brad Paisley's video "whiskey lullaby " and "waitin on a woman" you'll love them!
