I totally agree that's an awesome song. And that's where they got the lyrics The devil went down to Georgia but this is God's country was from the Charlie Daniels song. Love this song great choice love love love
Blake's title song from his first album, Austin (2001) was #1 on the Billboard Country charts for 5 weeks, and he's been going strong ever since.. All of his songs are well written. He wrote a poignant song called Over You about his brother who was killed in a car accident.
You wanna get to know the young Blake to see where he started from. I definitely recommend either Austin or Ol’ Red. Both amazing songs by him early in his career. Keep it up! 💯💯
Blake is from Oklahoma, home to a lot of great country artists. A short list: Garth Brooks, Reba McEntire, Carrie Underwood, Vince Gill, Ronnie Dunn (of Brooks and Dunn), etc. Pretty crazy that so many of the top-grossing country artists of all time come from a state of only 3 million or so.
If you like this type of song "vibe", check out Boondocks by Little Big Town, and Red Dirt Anthem by Jason Aldean. Also recommend some of Blake's older stuff like Austin, and Ol' Red (cover of a song by country legend George Jones)
Please do more country- I’m from Nashville and I LOVE watching people discover country music. You will really like it, I think if you liked this song. ✌️✌️✌️
I'm from California. 31 years old, I have 15 acres in New Mexico where my family is originally from, my grandmother was indigenous Ute. I bought 20 acres in Kansas where my Mother lives. It's God country man. When youre in the middle of now where USA. It's truly a different sight. A life style is what country music is, not a genre, a life style. Have a beer and looking at beautiful. Led Zeppelin Simple Man is my anthem. Haven't heard it, better prepare.
This song was written by Hardy for Blake Shelton, about his family's land. You might like his songs too. I think any farmer anywhere can empathize with the lyrics, farming is a partnership with God and nature. I know the British farmers have a lot of pride in their ground.
Darius Rucker reaction, was with the rock band back in the day hoodie and the blowfish. Then went on his own to sing country.also did a remix song with the singer/rapper Dax

Toby Kieth-- Courtesy of the Red, White and Blue. Red Solo Cup. American Soldier. Trace Adkins--- Arlington Kenny Chesney--- every song is about family and partying to the max
His references when he says being on his 40, that is a farmer's term, since they kinda separated their land into 40-acre squares. The comment about 'shine', refers to homemade moonshine liquor. And the comment about the Devil going to Georgia is a nod to the famous older country star, Charley Daniels' hit 'The Devil went down to Georgia'. Blake has a lot of great music, both serious & fun one. Check out 'Boys round here' for some fun. I enjoy your show.
I think you would like "Dirt Road Anthem" by Jason Aldean if you're checking out more country type music. You should definitely add it to your list for when you get time!
Blake Shelton and Luke Combs are my two favorite country singers at the moment Blake Shelton has been a favorite of mine for years. And I highly recommend Luke Combs as well!
Even Though I'm Leaving by Lui Combs is one of my faves and hits you in the feels and Honey Bee and Austin by Blake Shelton are some of my favorites by Blake
Great song, raw talent, you must please react to Freddie Mercury and Brian May singing "Is This the World We have Created" Live at Wembley 1985, Although Freddie Mercury was born in Africa, he grew up in London
Interestingly, Blake said "The Voice" wanted Reba McEntire, FIRST---SHE was the one with the massive following---but, she had other commitments!! They both had the same manager, at the time (Reba's ex husband, now, cuz he was a lyin', cheatin' POS), and the manager told them to take Blake. One might argue that "The Voice" catapulted him into the stratosphere---last I knew, he had, I think, 26 number 1 records (19 in a row)!! Another fabulous one of his, is "Ol' Red" (official video)---and, one of my top favorites of his, is "Honeybee" (again, official video)!! Also, if you like REALLY deep voices, I suggest "Honky Tonk Badonkadonk" (official video), by Trace Adkins---there's alotta pretty girls, in there, too!! LOL 😉
Check out Old Red by Blake Shelton, Almost Home by Craig Morgan, Paint Me A Birmingham by Tracy Lawrence, It's All How You Look At It by Tracy Lawrence, and Third Rock From the Sun by Joe Diffie.
The video is so good. But his New song called I Wana Come Back as a Country Boy! Video is Phenomenal!! He has a lot of lighthearted songs! If you want a good storytelling song I suggest Blake Shelton...Old Red!! He has a great catalog of music & I don't think there's a bad one!!
Try the song "The Devil Went Down to Georgia" (this referenced it in the chorus). It's a story type of song, old-time rural southern America (back to early 20th century at least).
Oh man, you are opening a new can of worms with country music! The more you listen to country, the more you start to appreciate it. Most of the songs are telling a story.
I'm not a religious person per se and I'm certainly no fan of Blake Shelton on the whole, but I can feel this one. It came on my Pandora earlier when I was driving through the countryside near my property and it just felt right.
Hey Kabir Philadelphia here been watching your videos today and you’re a natural at this. Right now I’m watching could the US invade the UK! The way you smiled/felt the first time you heard the lyric "this is God's country" is the same any of us who love and feel our Maker felt. Anything you look at, hear, smell, sense is all of his creation. It is awe inspiring, we are all lucky to be here and to have all that yet a lot of people don't appreciate it.
