man seeing you go from putting stickers and forza to building cars to the high level of custom parts you do its amazing.
Don't forget about hot gluing wires together. Now he's fabricating his own frame setups and doing the most extreme of custom things.
If I have an idol it's probably him, went from newbie to self made fabricator and building car from scratch in a few years. He got help along the way but always work on his build and its awesome
Thank you so much
Built or bought!
@@_Gingium_ The good news about steelies, and I don't know why it isn't common in america, you can extend them pretty easily.
PLEASE take this to rocky mountain raceweek next year! would be sick
Yes I absolutely want to do this!
Where is that
@@RankTitan Colorado, the drivers have to drive their cars between tracks without the help of support vehicles or chase vehicles
@@_Gingium_ yes please do it
@@_Gingium_ Do it! I live 5 min from Bandimere if you need a place to crash/wrench.
There's a company that takes OEM wheels and turns them into 3 piece wheels if you ever need a wider wheel while retaining the Sleeper look of the stock wheels. I think the name of the company, if I'm not mistaken is ThreePieceUS
They're steel wheels so there's a bunch of race shops that will widen steelies
They will make it from 15" to 17" or 18", as they say "It is, in most cases, not possible to "just add a lip" to a wheel and keep it the original diameter."
just take a cutoff wheel and add a couple inches to the middle , don't need to get all stupid with it
Hey, that is one cool Volvo, I love the fact you left the exterior too, I feel it needs a couple of stickers in the back window to bait further, maybe a CND symbol or Jesus fish.
maybe a 'jesus take the wheel' sticker
baby onboard
@@gabydewilde I have a twins on board sticker on my i6 twin turbo SUV lol..
My LS swapped Volvo has stickers from Po he asked me to leave is possible. Apparently it's a legacy dating to original owner from 1990.
Some Brian tooley racing, wilwood, gforce cross member's, hp tuners. Sleeper status is awesome but sound is dead give away with an LS and longtube headers with catless 3" duals..

Get some witty sticker that threatens tailgaters!
The level of craftmanship is going higher every time. I love that you dont accept half assed results these days, and dont risk any test drive for the sake of views. Also, this build and the jazz / fit are my favs. Kudos man, keep at it.
Hey Caleb, I have the exact same bleeder from Harbor Freight. It needs some adjustments and then it works. All the line connections leak air. So take hose clamps or zip ties and tighten them quite tight on the hose connection to the plug into the can, the hose connection to the tip that’s connected with the brass union, and the black tip itself. Make everything very tight and it will pull brake fluid in a nice slow solid stream like it should.
Motive pressure bleeders work extremely well. Had mine for about ten years and it has held up great.
Caleb, this channel is amazing. I look forward to your videos. You do great work with the videos and the cars. You’ve really turned the corner to one of the great automotive UA-cam channels.
3:04 when you're watching your old videos because you dont remember how the parts going on your car 😂
Love how you watch your own videos to remember how some lines or wires ran. That’s what sets you apart from a lot of other UA-camrs, you’re very detailed in how you do your work and show almost every part of the process.
That's a serious exhaust. What a beast.
If you remember the show Biker Build Off, I would like to say that your welding skills are above probably 80% of the builders on that. My power plant manager dad agrees with me. And he knows some GOOD welders.
The ultimate sleeper.....this thing is King!!
Couple things:
1. You’re not far from race parts solutions if you need more materials like stainless and aluminum.
2. Sign it up for Midwest drags and we can line up some stick shift turbo ls cars 🤌🏼
Tip
When using vacuum type bleeders you need to stop air being sucked around the bleed screw.
Teflon tape or rubber grease the threads before you start trying to bleed the system.
Also start with the corner furthest away from the master.
Some small commercial vehicles have a load level proportional valve at the rear that can cut off the rear brakes,
Disconnect the attachment to the axle and push the lever to the maximum load position to bleed the rears.
12:25 is just so smooth and satisfying. I like how the music is in sync when the welder fired up
The music timing on those spot welds was ASMR
Lovely to see. Look guys, living in Sweden i´ve done a few SBC conversions and here´s a word of advice i guess you haven´t taken into account yet.
As you reach beyond 400 honest ones much the chassis will start to flex. You´ll notice it at first on door fitment The crevis up high on the front doors get bigger than down low.
We just went ape to handle this and installed a cage, but i guess some sort of thought through SFC´s will handle THAT part need be too.
As you´re going LS and turbo you´ll get into torq numbers i never did (ones i built were NA SBC´s) so this will be worth looking into.
It is so satisfying to see you guys using some decent tools in a decent garage!
The best sounding Volvo I have ever heard.
Biggest flex of the whole video, pulling up on the Chevron sign making all the west coast folks hate that over 5$ a gallon gas.
Man that engine sounds amazing. It just gave me the chills when that what looks to be a bone stock 240 revs and reveals what it actually is. Damnit, I'm jealous. The sound really suits the car.
The block is called warningvalve according to volvo, it has a piston inside that grounds a switch if the pressure on one circuit drops, and then lights the indicator in the dash. Alot of american trucks and cars has a version of this, but that also shuts off a circuit in a event of pressure loss, when these systems has to be bled, a locking stud is screwed into the valve and locks it
Sorry for my bad english, hope i got it right
SHEEESHHH (those are the only words that come to mind when I think about this build)
Gingium this is awesome work!!!
The vagen looks super clean and stealthy !!
Thanks for sharing this journey, much appreciated. Can’t wait to see the next episode 🎉
New to this channel. As a lover of 240s this popped up as recommended and I'm happy I clicked. Cudos on the neat fabrication, very inspirational.
Every time I see you post a video, it instantly is my first choice for a video to watch.
Thank you for actually posting a real sleeper. Saw a dude with slicks and a huge ass intercooler, roll cage. So many visuals, saying its a sleeper. It was like yea, your shit looks fast.
as a swede i must say this is so cooool 😀😀rust on rear hatch completes the stealth
I've had a couple 245's and a 945. I always used the air pressure from one of my tires to force bleed the brakes....easy peasy.
check out diamond racing steelies wheels theyll probably be able to do the bolt patter for the volvo and give that oem look
There’s an electric power bleeder on Amazon I use that works amazingly. You have to buy a box of adapters separately for it, but it forces new fluid through the master cylinder reservoir to the system. Just crack a bleeder until the air bubbles stop and you’re good.
Nice work! Really appreciate the attention to detail. That's going to be a really fun sleeper!
Im a big Volvo fan, sounds so good closed valve actually. Really fun with such a sleeper.
Well, that's one way to open a box. That had me laughing my ass off 🤣
Man gotta appreciate the ammout of work that goes in these builds! It's insane 👌
Awesome work as always man! Keep up the hard work, much love to you and the fam brotha
I love watching this build, you edit it well so its straight to the point and entertaining. I'm sure whenever you drive this monster, people will be continuously double taking looks to confirm what their ears are hearing. You'll be getting that confused WTF look a lot. Keep em coming!
I think the funniest part about this build is that my 240 that is just a straight piped B230 sounds similar at idle just not as much rumble
Looks completely improbable and sounds incredible. A big well done from the UK 👍🏻
Love that car, looks so good, sounds awesome... just looking at starting a project but over here in the UK parts are few and very expensive. Keep it up, love the work you do...
You have the best music of all the builder channels I follow. Even though it probably is on a loop I can’t hear that. Just digging that ambient drive tune while watching you build 👍
So happy to see the sleeper back running it sounds amazing
Love it :) my Volvo 850 has knock a motor on me so watching your build is a soothing for me, hope everything goes well and you can drift it a little
lol opening the box with the die grinder 😄
too lazy to find the knife lol
Volvo 960 has 16" iron rims👍, they are avalible up to 17" but rare. Volvo 850 fitts also, but you need spacers (Et)
Oh man, this is really an amazing build. Just great!
Man that sounds good. Well done sir
She’s coming along great!
"Fabrication testes your patience" 😂
Smooth video & editing
My favourite build is back! Let's goo!
This is fantastic. I love these cars, especially when they are made into sleepers!
Nice work and a great sleeper 🤩😍🥰
Love seeing the Volvo again!!!
best sleeper build. looks and sounds so good
I havent watched you for a few months now, no idea why but I miss you v v much xxx
you could also use a brake metering valve, and when you want to drag race, you set it up to only have fluid going to the fronts (or electric valve with a button where you press it, similar to transbrake) and still use the hydro for the rears and be able to drift
much love for keeping the wheels!
Sick seeing the car run and drive and then see the work it took to get there after. It looks so good and “stock” in person like actually it’s looks pretty oem minus the big Holley efi on the intake and WGs like it could pass as out of the factory the way it’s built
It sounds awesome!
this is badass. also, those wheels look sick
Love the build! Your video's on this car inspired me to get my own. I have a red wagon but this light blue is so pretty. Very uncommon in EU tho, so my red wagon will have to do for now until maybe some day I find an affordable blue.
The fluid is fluiding🤣 I've been a tech for over a decade and say that stuff all the time hahaha
Those vacuum bleeders are amazing, but I’ve discovered the pressure bleeders are superior. It pressurizes the master cyl and fills it so all you have to do is walk around the car opening the bleeders, no stopping to refill the master, and the fluid moves much faster too.
Yep.
Some cars could only be bleed with pressure bleeder, after brake line replacement or similar work.
Miter sounds like mighter when you say it. Gets it's name from the angle. Just sharing in case you haven't had the chance to look it up yet. Anyway, love what you did especially to the exhaust! All the gold in the engine bay is a little worrying though, it's almost as if you're constantly worrying about temps. Sick sleeper overall, love it!
Sounds nice and refined now. Progress baby!
Yessir! Much better than the last setup.
Lol, bought a manual blender for my shop and same, I’ve tried using it like 3 times, those 3 times I ended doing it manually perfectly fine
Sick the mag has a bunch of drag and drives you should definitely hit one up next year!
The shape and space of the car is perfect, most people don't need large suvs that are on truck frames you just need a wagon like this.
Fantastic video. Saw the whole thing
yea right, video is 22 min and it came out 10 min ago
This build is insane. I cannot wait to see you drive it on the street.
Can"t wait😁
Heck yeah brother let's go baby
sounds beautiful
With the giant summit 4 core and 16" spal fan my LS 240 stays around 195f max even in 100f ambient temps. Mountedy air filter and iat behind the grill in front of rad no more iat timing pull and 0 knock at 26*.
Threw me under the bus with the belt sander😂😂
Had the same experience with my power bleeder except it shot air into the reservoir when disconnected… was a pain in the ass to rebleed
I have the HF venturi style bleeder that relies on an air compressor that works great btw.
This is one of the best sounding Volvo in the world !!
Would love to see this car on a race week!
When you weld tubing purge it with backing gas you’ll get less warpage and nicer welds
Awesome work! Love every bit of watching these (series) videos of this build! Where is it going to lead? Will you do this for customer cars or create a kit for customers to buy? Or is this just a 'one-off' for your own amusement?
On a need to know note--where did you buy your steelies? I need a set of those!
Keep up the great work!
Theres an LS swapped 240 with mustang saleen SC wheels looks so sick all black with louvers and duck bill..
I had the 80s Corvette salad shooter 16x9.5 wheels on mine wit some kuhmo ecsta xs.
Just put some BBS SR 18x8 on there...
SO so sick!!!!
Thank you!
This things my LS inspiration just no full sleeper but my 245 will ripp soon
TOP videos
The brake proportioning valve is an important safety feature for if one of the lines blows out, breaks, or is cut and just for braking in general so one axle doesn't lock up way before the other axle. How it works is if a large amount of fluid is going to the front or the back it turns off that section. So if you lose your rear brakes you still have front and vice versa
That's why when you were trying to move a large amount of fluid to bleed it, the valve was working as intended and thought there was a leak. You should try filing the lines as much as you can first before connecting them to the valve. You can do this by putting the end of the line in a container of fluid, then vacuum bleeding the other end. Then bleed the whole system slowly.
yo caleb, for the bleeder, try to cranck up the pressure coming out from the air compressor, i had one too and thought it was faulty, but simply the air coming out of compressoe wasnt enough to make vacum in the system. (after 3 days of bleeding.........[the issue was the brake booster, that kept on getting air in and not allowing me to bleed the brakes])
To me, this is the best car you ever did!! Is amazing!
Ps. Where did you put the eclipse?😅
Buy(or make) a bleeder that pressurizes the reservoir with about 10psi of air. Turn on the air, open a bleeder, done.
Try a pressure bleeder instead. Pressurizes the master cylinder reservoir. Works tons better
That’s like the third cooles Volvo ever, right after the drift Volvos from frigstad Motor Sport
Nice work. I like the Volvo wagons. Have you seen the sleeper Volvo wagon that smoked-out garage drifts?
Thks
you should call it the blue waffle cz it's a blue Vulva. this thing is such a beast lol. i'll make you a blue waffle emblem for it lmao
I think Gubb40:n (Swedish for Grampa-40) fits better.
I do like blue waffle
Just about to hit the hay and then I see sleeper volvo... meh sleep can wait a little longer
Ive always bled brakes manually, those power bleeders never seem to work for that. I usually just use them for brake flushes and sucking fluid out of reservoirs and stuff like that
This was my dream car more than 20 years ago. Even with an engine swap it slows and looks slow.
And a BnE 👕 to 🥾 nice!!
