- We planted this ginger in these containers about 10-11 months ago. Every 3 months we plant ginger in a different tote or container so that we can get a fresh harvest throughout the year.

How can I keep the weeds down in the totes. I have three containers with fruit bushes but I think the guy that cuts the grass empties his clippings in them the grass is back every two weeks after a visit. Ugh, Georgia natives. I rent so there is not much I can do but pull them out but if I pull out one weed, ten come back for the funeral 😊

I grew one small ginger plant with one stalk after 2 years of trying so will follow your advice on the soil needed to grow ginger. Florida is tough in the hot summer months. I have learned to grow lots of OKRA and SWEET POTATOES and YUKON gold and Russet potatoes. Had good success last summer. Thanks
