In Puerto Rico they added some coffee with tapiokas, but I don't like the tapiokas they use. They are super small (to fit the straw) and super sweet. They are like bursts of sugar. Never asking for that drink again.
For all my Hispanic people, taro is malanga. I really didn’t know until I saw the bowl! Was always super confused when others talked about the powder version
Ur daughter is so freaking cute 😍😍😍, i appreciate how u didnt make a fuss of spilling the milk, you've handled ur video editing professionally. And the recipes look great
Definitely a huge bubble tea fan and I’ve tried many drinks from many stores but these recipes look so refreshing! Certainly inspired to try them out 🙌💯😋👍
They have this evaporated coconut milk and condensed coconut milk at sprouts and it would be amazing in these drinks! Thought I’d share cuz I know you’d be a fan. 😇
Honestly. I'm happy you kept the mug spill in the video. It helps me reminded myself that mistakes will be made while making something and I have a hard time understanding that
Sending you blessings of prosperity! May your book soar high above the best sellers list! We love & miss you, so proud of you too! Caroline & Johnny D!
I just started chemo treatments (not for cancer) and started getting boba teas to take before I go so now I have a cart full of boba stuff to make at home 😂 I’m just excited to try all these
So awesome! Loved it from beginning to end. Love the recipes, loved that you left you milk drop in, since we all make something like that sometimes and you daughter at the end, SO CUTE. Loved part I and now part II is even better 😍☺️
My daughter has been asking to make boba at home since part one! It’s something we have to do before she heads back to school. You always make me laugh in your videos whether your spilling milk or frying Thai basil. I will definitely be preordering your cookbook. I told my husband I want Honeysuckle’s and Antoni’s (from queer eye) cookbooks for our new home we’re settling into. Muncho amor de Tejas ❤️
Your videos are very professional. You stick to the subject and give easy to follow directions. Regarding the taro flavor, are you saying that adding tea is optional? You mentioned that you wanted to keep it "decaf" but you could add decaf tea if you wanted to, couldn't you? Otherwise it's just a drink, and not bubble tea. Also, I'd be interested to see exactly how you prepare the taro, since it's one of my favorite bubble tea flavors! Thank you!
I still go back to watch these bubble tea videos of yours! They all look so refreshing, I gotta try them out sometime! I actually just placed an order for your cookbook - my dad is a big fan of Vietnamese cooking, and I just want to try making more recipes in general - can't wait to see the recipes inside!
@@honeysuckle got it yesterday, it's wonderful! Dad and I have been looking through it and picking out dishes we want to make :) Very excited to see rose milk tea in there! I get rose milk tea w/ boba from the Over The Rainbow tea bar in my area and it's my favorite thing ever, so def gonna give this a try 8D
I love your recipes and how gorgeous your setup is. Not to mention you store is such a life saver in finding things to help make your delicious recipes !
Taro looked so familiar to me. I know it as being called madumbi in isiZulu (South Africa.) I would never have thought to make tea out of it! Indian communities in South Africa often fry it and put it in savoury curries.
I love jasmine milk tea! I can never get the right proportions when I try to make it at home. Going to give your recipe a try! Can you do a lychee green milk tea boba recipe? Would love to make that at home.
I love mine with regular ice but sometimes less sweet, depending on where I go! Some places put sooo much syrup in that you can't even taste the tea. My favorite places are those that use just a little bit of milk so the tea can really shine through :)
Wowowowow they all look so amazing and delicious! I was just wondering what type of straws you use and where you could get them... alsooooo could you perhaps measure things in grams too because here in Britain it’s not the most easy and popular option to do things in cups but anyhow good luck on you book!!
Mimi Howson Try an online converter. Also there are a TONNE of different boba/bubble tea straws available online! Try to eat the 12mm width straws as the 10mm are a bit small for toppings. Mine burst my popping pearls :(
Yay! How exciting...a cookbook to be released! Also, thanks for leaving the oopsy moment...it happens to me a lot & it’s nice to know I’m not alone. Cheers!
have you ever heard of pandan pearls? they are topiaco pearls but with a little pandan, and they are green! i got so excited when i found them, i just love pandan so much.
Another awesome video, Dzung! I was watching Phillip Wang's (Wong Fu) boba creations earlier this week and here you are with more awesome combinations! How fortuitous that I bought taro and cooked it this week as I was thinking how I could make the boba tea/drink with it since I order that one often (I had purchased a honeydew flavor on Amazon and although it smelled amazing, tasted very artificial afterwards). And I love that you used your shaker since I have a couple but never use them since I'm not much of a consumer of alcohol (unless it's for cooking, which doesn't count).
@@honeysuckle I just steam it and eat it plain most of the time. :) But I know it can be put into soup and desserts. I wish it were more purple in color, but I can use the purple potato for that.
Could you please do a video or provide the exact recipe for making the boba. I’ve had so much trouble and have followed numerous recipes. I have a feeling other people are in the same boat if they are all asking for the recipe. Thank you love these videos!
Sure!! So the reason why I didn’t is because each bag has their own directions based on how they were made. For mine, I boiled 6 cups of water and add 1/4 cup brown sugar. Let it dissolve and then add the boba and stir immediately so they don’t stick together. Boil for 20 minutes on low med heat then drain . If you buy quick cooking boba, it’ll be similar but less time
I like a regular amount of ice bc when I ask for light, sometimes it isn’t cold enough, I do half and half instead of whole milk and I usually go for a matcha with 75% sweetness bc the boba shop I go too has rlly sweet drinks 🍵 (I wish they had a boba emoji)
BTW, I pre-ordered your book a couple of weeks back to support you (I don't really order cookbooks anymore because I have so many and find out I never use them because I end up googling or youtubing for recipes). Best of luck to get your book out there and up the ranks! I bet you can make another book for just drinks and smoothies and such. You have so many awesome creations for drinks/smoothies that you can fill a book with it. :)
All of them look amazing. I would love to try the Jasmine and Matcha 🍵 one. I was wondering if you could please tell me what the boba is made from because I follow a halal diet (like Vegan almost). For example, does the boba contain gelatin? Thanks in advance. I would really love to try these recipes. Such a pretty drink. Love watching your videos 💗
Hi, I have been watching your videos for so many years! I love this 2 part video as boba is my life as a boba shop owner and yes, we also use real taro in our taro milk tea. I believe you moved to OC a couple years ago so if you are ever in Irvine please come visit us at Sunright Tea Studio at the Diamond Jamboree plaza. Congrats on your new book and almost 1 million subs! We all love you!

imagine how powerful starbucks would be if they had a boba option
Great idea if they wouldn’t charge $20 for a small boba 😂
😂😂😂 I had the same thought
Omg, that would be incredible!

I really like you're drink related videos, it looks really satisfying! Definitely going to try them!!
The strawberry Guava drink is so nice! We made it three times this week.

Ooh i've never made it at home!
I've never had Boba before, but I still love watching these videos. 💕
OMGosh... finally an all natural Taro milk tea... being from Puerto Rico we always eat Taro. Thanks for the video. Much love
So tempted to buy boba now. Her drinks always look so good
In addition to the link for the materials and tools you use, can you include link to the tops you wear. You have the cutest tops ever! 💕

Wow, these look spectacular all together!

So happy you tried it!! Peach teas are so good

Yummy!! How'd you make the white tea?? Any suggestions??
white tea bags! i steeped 3 bags with 2 cups of hot water and brewed for 5 minutes so it's nice and strong.

She should totally do a pandan flavor! It's got such an amazing smell to it...and pandan with coconut is a combo made in Vietnamese/Asian heaven! :)
@@doodahgurlie you should try klepon!! its riceflour balls with pandan flavour, stuffed with palmsugar and rolled in grated coconut!!

Is Taro available worldwide? Have never heard of it before but looks interesting and would like to try!!
I think taro is a purple potato (?)
rebecca boniface Taro is an Asian ingredient. It is a purple sweet potato or yam. It’s used in sweet and savoury foods and drinks.
