Fun fact, the Butterfly Pea flower is an example of a natural pH indicator. The reason that the colour of the tea turns purple when you add lemon juice is because the addition of citric acid lowers the pH, and increases hydronium ion concentration. This disrupts the equilibrium reaction of the Indicator found in the chemicals of the butterfly pea tea, resulting in higher concentration of the purple indicator of the tea, causing it to become purple.

Sana if it’s an asian grocery it will most likely have foods of all asian ethnicity’s culture, so yes. It will have Chinese, Indian, Japanese, Korean + more but it also depend on the store

I made boba before, one tip: Use REALLY good quality tapioca starch. Some tapioca starch doesn't work, it happened to me once

My first time having boba: I was on a trip to London. I'm from northern Ireland. We don't have boba/bubble tea here, I had never heard of it before...
So when my friend offered me to sip I tried it and didn't realise the pearls at the bottom were edible. It shocked me that they went up the straw so fast and I chocked on the boba pearls and accidentally became a camal and spewed the drink out.
Then a drug addict began begging money from me and robbed my friend.
That was a rollercoaster from start to finish

Thai milk tea is always my favorite. But last week I tried a pea tea peach lemonade with chip seeds and it was magical!!! Pea tea is a little musky, so it took me aback at first. But it was so delicious!
I've recently discovered a Boba shop in my town and I love it! I just got some bubble tea powder in my local Walmart and figured "why not make some??" It's a tiger milk tea flavor and just by itself without the bubbles/Boba it's yummy can't wait to try it out with the bubbles!

You can make half and half by mixing cream and milk (it's called that because it's half cream, half milk)

Fact; homemade boba taste way different than you buy it at store.
Another fact: milk tea is not adding fresh milk to the tea but adding creamer powder.
We do actually make milk tea with fresh milk... Usually involves mixing half a cup of black tea with half a cup of milk... The amounts differ based on your taste, though

Thank you for the recipe!I have just made it and it tastes delicious!
I have some notes though:
1. I added one table spoon of tapioka flour to the boiling sugar and water and got too much lumps, I threw it and made it again but added the tapioka flour to the mixture when it was warm not boiling, and it worked!
2. While kneeding the dough, I added tapioka flour about three time, stop stickeness.
3. I made the syrup with half the ingredients mentioned (1/2 cup of each water and sugar), but forgot to biol it for 5-7 minutes, just boiled for 2 minutes then soaked the bubbles in it.

There's likely a store near you! My mall has one :) You can also buy tapioca pearls at walmart!
I have butterfly pea flower plant in my house and I use it as a natural blue colour for my desserts and it also has many antioxidants, and its great for our health 😊😊
