That is the reason why it's rather 'expensive' in Philippines. The price of each is higher there than in the US due to import tariffs. And with Philippines market as the base, you pay *a lot* more (since your salaries are comparatively less from the US), but due to the scarcity of the product in the region, you get less for a normal portion in those who produce them in mass, like US, or Korea. Wow, look how perfectly they pack the strawberries there. Probably very expensive. Even in Canada, we get them from the States and most of the time half of them are moldy. But, nothing compares to the fresh local ones.
Как я люблю такое. И главное чтоб клубника была не из магазина, а с самой грядки у людей которые её выращивают. Такое можно и со сметанкой, и с творогом и с простоквашей (кислым молоком).
In Denmark we have a similar "dessert" basically strawberries halved or in quarters, then some sugar sprinkled over, and some milk poured in. We eat it like we would cereal, though not in the morning.
So no one gonna talk about how the strawberries are arranged in the package and so red while here they just give a box just dumped and they’re all half white
If the strawberries are being shipped across states then they are picked early so they are almost ripe by the time they arrive. If they are picked and used locally they are ripe for ready use. Same reason why you go to the store and the avacados or bananas are super hard or green.
Idk I'm just saying I saw a few foods like this from China..they looked perfect but when showed how they prepared the perfect looking food it was like throw this little thing in some water add a few drops of food coloring I'm guessing and boom! A whole head of lettuce appeared and they cut it and showed the rest of the ingredients in the end a perfect salad was indeed presented. But the process just made me think like wow 🙀🙀
This was so satisfying to watch. I love how Koreans are taking care of their hygiene and making sure everything is clean. As someone who comes from Serbia where cooks use bare hands to touch your food (which is disgusting) seeing you use gloves while making just a drink really made me feel at ease. Amazing 💜
Disposable gloves are also not environmentally friendly. So touching food with hands is okay for chefs and cooks if they wash frequently at each step in the cooking process. Its also the most natural way to cook because you can feel the texture and nature of the food you are handling. Going back to basics sometimes isn't always a bad thing.
Don’t fall for western concept of gloves are better. Hands have amazing healing properties and microbes that build a healthy gut. We are designed to eat using hands, not gloves.
As medical people say always change your gloves and wash your hands afterwards… so yes it’s good she’s using gloves but no because we don’t know how many times she has used that gloves and keep touching other things 🤷🏻♀️ it’s better to use your hands…

This is my favourite kind of strawberry milk! I love having strawberry chunks in them and having to mix it up. I personally use less sugar when I do it, just barely enough for the maceration process to take place. Maceration, for those wondering, is the process of using sugar (or sometimes salt) to draw fluid out of a fruit. The sugar then mixes with the fruit juices and thickens them. You can speed up the process by simmering the strawberries and sugar mixture on the stove, but it's harder to control the sweetness that way. When you macerate over time you can do small tastings to see if you've reached your desired sweetness (then remember for next time). It also helps when doing it for baking because you can start your berries, then prepare your cakes while they ripen!
@@msway836 if it said heavy milk it might have been heavy whipping cream (as its referred to in the States). I personally didn't see the name. I didnt have my glasses on.

This drink looks amazing! And I was wondering, does it specifically have to be muscovado sugar or can it just be regular sugar? Or are there any substitutions?
You can use white sugar.
When I made this I used sweetened condensed milk
Look at those strawberries! they don't come with conveniently hidden rotten ones in the middle like it happens in other countries.
They’re white on the inside. They’re picked too early. Should be red outside snd inside.
But they're raw (kinda). Strawberries in india are blood red and if you cut them both chopping board and hands turn pinkish red.
@@anekinoo7 Korean strawberries look like that, try cutting open any strawberry from a random grocery store in Korea and they will all have a white center. They're still impossibly sweet!
@@anekinoo7 you know what's crazy tho? Those small white strawberries that look like they've been picked too early taste a lot sweeter and flavorful than the large super red ones here in the US... i really miss korean strawberries :( the strawberries here in the US taste like nasty watery fruit.

Wow, look how perfectly they pack the strawberries there. Probably very expensive. Even in Canada, we get them from the States and most of the time half of them are moldy. But, nothing compares to the fresh local ones.

Especially when mixing the strawberries!

Gotta get strawberries from Oxnard!

Amazing 💜
I’m Serbian too lmao
Hands are very sanitary. You can wash then over and over. Some people use the same gloves for extended periods of time.

How come the strawberries look so good? The ones here in Canada looks like it came from the plantation.
Most likely because it's a different variety of strawberry that's native to the Asian continent. And the people who grow and harvest them tend to have much higher standards than we do in North America

This was so informative. Thanks! 🍓
Thanks for the information, that’s very cool
