- Rolling Stone Magazine just released The 250 Greatest Guitarists of All Time. I react to the top 25 and see if they match MY top guitarists list.

Frank marino is a iconic Rock /Blues/Jazz guitarist.

Boils down to personal taste or fandom but a list without Ynwei Malmsteen, Neil Schon, Guthrie Govan, Roy Clark, Dave Mustaine, Marty Friedman, Tommy Scholtz, Rik Emmett to name a few is not worth taking seriously.
No Roy Clark at all? Sacrilege.

How old are you? How many different musical genres or cultures can anyone both observe and absorbe at your age? How many times have you visited the other parts of the world, I mean anywhete, but California?
At this point best guitarists are Tommy Emmanuel and YAMANDU - and Paco de Lucia (RIP) I encourage all guitar players to check out Yamandu - New guys on the scene as well - Mancuso and Marcin - who cares about lists, try to reach TE level of playing or Yamandu I dare you. We inspire each other, I know people want to put you in a pecking order, after a while one must separate acoustic and electric and styles as well.... Hard to say that Kobe Bryant is a better basketball player than Shaquille O'Neal - they play different positions. The best Goalie in the World in soccer cannot be compared with Messi. Different roles. GET it GOT it GOOD. I DO NOT LIKE LISTS BUT to omit TE and Yamandu shows that RS and people that put this list together are IGNORANT. Berry is a pioneer, in my opinion his playing is amateur at best.
I’d also include Igor Paspalj and Max Ostro 🍻

of course they got it "wrong" if they didn"t we would not talk about it and give them free publicity. stone mag makes more $ by creating interest off b.s. ratings. let's be honest, other than this copy cat review of the top 250 guitarists how many of yall faithfully subscribe to stones mag? I'll wait.............
Rolling Stone's lists have sucked for decades. People need to stop paying this much attention to them.
