    I was one of the backers during the Kickstarter. Have had no problems and find the EcoFlow 600 Pro worth the money. The main reason I got was the battery chemistry. At 3,000 cycles I was impressed. I also own the Bluetti AC200 and the LEOCH (from Indiegogo) which also gets 2,500 - 3,000 cycles. My wife and I are retired and enjoy traveling with our truck camper and having power is a must. Thank you for your video, I enjoyed it.

      My understanding is that with fast charge enabled off an AC outlet you would get around 500 cycles before battery recharge capacity drops to 80%. I'm not sure the unit could achieve 3000 cycles. Possibly by disabling fast charge and charging at normal speeds you may get 2000 cycles. Not sure.

    I just bought this one on Amazon. I use an ice maker camping. The peak is 600w and makes ice with no problem. My friend uses it for a 12v fridge. You can use it while its charging too. Many of the others you can't do that. I bought a $75 100W mono solar panel and it directly hooks up to it. No need for a controller or a separate inverter. I was totally amazed.

    • @talleysartstudio
      @talleysartstudio 2 роки тому +1

      @@oldrango883 Depends. I'm in Florida. Even with clear sky's I don't get full power. You don't get alot of juice from 100w. So the battery takes a long time. You have to change the charging voltage to the lowest setting on the ecoflow via the app to draw the solar power. So with that being said, it can take up to 24 solid hours. Hence why most have 400W or higher panels. More wattage power, less time to charge.

Worth the money hands down.

      We get power outages all the time in the Memphis area and these things are a lifesaver for it keeps our basic house fridge going through the night as long as we keep the compressor from kicking on too much. This also lets me camp in some of my favorite primitive and off road sites that I normally won’t in the summer as I can bring some strong fans to keep the little lady and kids cool during the humid parts of the summer wich is the end of may through the middle of October 😂 knowing I’m not going to burn up a power inverter, a fuse in my jeep or even worse run down my battery is some serious peace of mind👍

    I too chose the Ecoflow River. 3 days later after paying at Home Depot it was at my door. 3 days it would not turn on or charge. Ecoflow wanted me to jump through hoops and waste days to make sure it was defective. Case wasnt in the hands of their engineers till i jumped through those hoops. Phone call to Home Depot " it dont work bring it in". Got my money back in 3 days. So instead of this power station being useful it was an inconvenience instead. Thought about trying ordering another one but the Energizer is better. Also has the better longer lasting battery that can handle 1000 charges. Not Ecoflows 500 -800. Closer to 500.

    Hi all,
    So....I have a hack that I literally just thought of for people who can't afford another Delta Pro or extra battery BUT need additional power and own another ecoflow battery. I have called ecoflow and given them the idea as well and they confirmed that it will in fact work!! I then asked them why they don't tell everyone after I've told them and they said they would "escalate the idea" to their top tier and perhaps add it to their FAQs. So here's the idea: We've been told that you must have like systems in order to use them together. This is NOT actually true. If your Delta Pro is low on power (or any other ecoflow system you have) you can simply plug its charging cable (in the rear) into the front of the secondary system. In other words you're using the second system as a wall outlet of sorts. This works especially well in the evening when the sun is down and there is no more backup energy. What do you do when the sun is up?...even better...plug the second system from the rear into the front of the Delta Pro. This allows the sun to charge them BOTH regardless of the differences of their capacities or sizes!!! The only word of caution they gave me after saying what a great idea this was, was to say don't forget to lower the charging speed on the Delta Pro once it's plugged into the front of the second system. Guys this means you can use anything from a River and up to charge your Delta Pro OR any other ecoflow system. If this works for you please like my comment and say "Thanks T!!" just so I'll know at least I was able to communicate something helpful to the solar community-especially since these systems are sooooo expensive!!!

    I'm very intrigued! If that's what the app looks like and what it can do, that improves my thoughts on it. I think the only thing left would be the type of battery...it's rough seeing the charge cycles of NMC Lithium batteries compared to the Lithium Iron Phosphate (LiFePo4). NMC is lighter, but it only gets you 500 charge cycles before degrading down to that 80% capacity, whereas LiFePo4 is heavier, but it will often get you 2500 cycles before reaching 80% of the original capacity. Limiting the total charge of the battery would help the lifespan and keep it from degrading faster, but still. Overall a good look at the EcoFlow! Thank you for making this video!

    • @unclebillscamping

      It was a hard decision but the ability to adjust the total charge is one of the reasons I went with the ecoflow. That and charge time. I think if I was looking for a more permanent power solution that was going to be permanently mounted I would go with LifePo4 batteries but with the need to be mobile and charge really fast I felt it was the best choice. I've tried the EcoFlow River Pro and Ecoflow Delta (1) - both did not run a single LED lightbulb and fan throughout the night. I suspect the AC inverter isn't as efficient as they claim. So while the display says 10 hrs before I go to sleep, I've woken up within 10 hrs and found the machine is dead. This has happened on both the delta and river pro. For the price point, a traditional gas generator provides more wattage for longer. I hope EcoFlow addresses this because the displayed time until dead is deceiving.

Ecoflow support is great and offered an refund/exchange and I chose the refund because I was having a bit of buyer's remorse about buying this overkill unit anyways. Found a refurb River for $170 and decided to take the shot. I mainly just need to run the lights and maybe the sump pump in my house so it seemed to fit the bill. I just wish the inverter were a bit more powerful so I could use it more reliably for power tools.

    How sweet would it be if it lasted 2500 cycles like the bluretti. That would put the icing on the cake but those also come with a downsides that start up voltage goes away down. Thats what it has in common with the Jackery. Times have changed now so I wonder if your opinion has as well. Still tho even at 500 charges at for what it does I guess it depends on what you plan on running.

    • @unclebillscamping
      @unclebillscamping  2 роки тому

      I think I would still choose it due to the fast recharge time and the app interface plus the ability to expand the battery. Jackery has stepped up their game with a better display but I think ecoflow still has them beat. I do like the bluetti but that recharge time is a deal breaker for me.

      There is the original river that is used in my video that can be enhanced with an add on battery then there is the river pro that looks similar to the original river with an expansion battery built in. The river pro has about 150 more watt hours than the original with an expansion battery attatched. The river 2 looks different is smaller and has different battery chemistry so there can be more recharges before battery degradation begins. The river 2 has a lower maximum watt capacity and boost wattage. I would say that if your trying to decide between the river and river pro I would go with the river pro if you can find it for under 500. The original river and expansion battery are being phased out of production and combined are going to cost about the same as a pro but you will get more watt hours out of the pro.

    Hello, the capacity of river pro is rated at 720Wh - how does that translate to Ah please? A standard leisure battery is 110Ah, how does the river pro compare to that?

    • @treasurethetime2463
      @treasurethetime2463 3 роки тому +4

      I'll give you quick and dirty upfront. If you want the explaination you can read the rest.
      The quick and dirty is a 110Ah house battery gives you the equivalent of a 660WH of one of these units.
      If you care, the explanation is this:
      Standard house batteries should only be discharged to 50% of their storage capacity. So a 110Ah battery is really good for 55Ah of actually use.
      So far so good.
      These lithium units like the river can be fully depleted. So a 280WH is pretty close to what is actually available.
      So, to compare you just convert Wh to amps. You do that with simple math.
      The formula is amps x volts = watts.
      So, from our example, the available Ah from the house battery 55 x 12volts = 660Wh.

    • @jaypstech
      @jaypstech 3 роки тому +1

      60ah x 12v = 720wah
      So its a 60ah comparable

    • @SolGuy42
      @SolGuy42 2 роки тому +1

      Power is in watts. Volt*amp=watt. So 110a*12v=1320 watts. However an inverter will lose some power to heat. Maybe 1320*.8 is actual so 1056 watt for an hour is reasonable for AC output.

    • @unclebillscamping
      @unclebillscamping  3 роки тому

      I have ran my home fridge on it without a panel. It is a side by side whirlpool that pulled about 550-590 watts on startup and once it leveled out at 220 watts with the compressor on it was telling me it could run For about an hour. Once the compressor is off it barely draws any power. This was with all the lights and the icemaker turned off. If you used a panel i imagine you could get keep your fridge going for a few days as long as there is sunlight to charge it and you only open the fridge when you absolutely need to. The main thing would be to keep the compressor from turning on as its going to take about 15 - 20% of your battery life every time it runs.

    • @SolGuy42
      @SolGuy42 2 роки тому

      Also consider most refrigerators have a defrost cycle that pull a lot of power to melt ice for a short time. If the heating element is on and the compressor starts you will need something closer to 2000 watt inverter peak.
