I have the older 256wh river and i'm running a 55" Sony tv + full size fridge freezer on a sunny day for 7-8 hours a day with 200w solar panels. Even on a cloudy day i can run the TV and still have the River fully charged at the end of the day. Love them.....
I’m considering this brand for backup and use on days where sun is non existent. I do need something 1000 or above for my van. But this size is great the take on long e-bike ride, beach picnic etc. So for a backup I think you can’t miss. Thanks for post.
That looks a good bit of kit and as you the amount of things on charge in this house I could free up ten plug sockets. Some thing to look in to. Another good video.
Love watching your videos I mean you make something that should be boring into something that I must have so thank you for that one . I mean how could you not with electric and gas and stupid prices anything that helps save money so cheers 👍👍👍💯
so what I want to know is, I run a small kitchen in winter footy season, we always needs more plugs or electricity, the current kitchen always trips out, I have a double deep fryer, will it run that on its own?>
Great piece of kit, and ideal for power stuff up in your home. BUT with no disrespect I have seen these units on many You Tubers channels and its all well and good having them as a freebie to promote them, Under the current cost of living crises I feel a lot could not afford to purchase one. As I have said this is not meant to be disrespectful to anyone.
I do love this bit of kit I already have the Eco flow min, so Wife would kill me I bought another one Eco flow tocks. Cant beat a bit of free but how much for and Actor for a commercial. Yours are far better lol keep it up.
Looks like decent unit for the price bracket. I could sure use on weekend fishing trips. When i get a chance... Excuse me! I now need to pop to the shop for Egg custards. (My Fave) ;)
I just purchased mine today this unit my first one but unfortunately I couldn’t afford the solar pannel tho :( can I ask will it run a induction hob? 😊
Just been looking at the Ecoflow River Max but I'll wait to see what the Ecoflow River Pro is like before committing one way or the other. I just want something easy for a power source in the van. One quick question you tried using the solar on the crafter to charge yet?
To be honest no . We only use the van system for the van batteries . Iv seen ppl making changes to pull power off and in to there units but I’d rather not . We only charge it from the recommended connections and power supply’s
One question we like going off grid in our caravan and sometimes I take a 18lt Waeco freezer. That would be ideal to run it separately and what I would like to know can you leave the solar panel in while it is powering the freezer?
@@UrbanVanlife Thanks for the reply, it’s a 12/24 volt and the input is 8amp/4amp 96 watt and the output is the same on the battery. If you use the power adapter the input on 230 volts is 1.2 amp and the output is 25 volt 4 amp 100 watt. So how I see it if I plug the battery lead into the Ecoflow it will pull 12 volts at 8 amp 96 watts but if I plug the mains adapter into it then it will be 1.2 amps but I will be getting 24 volts into the freezer. As I am looking to possibly use this as just a battery for the freezer it looks well below the 300 watts of the Ecoflow and wanted to know if the solar panel could still be plugged in at the same time. As we have solar panels on our caravan and an inverter I don’t really need an Ecoflow as all charging is done via usb etc in the van. But I was impressed by the shear lightweight of this unit an got me thinking of getting one just for the freezer as we have it outside in the awning hence the thought of the solar panel.
What is the cost of the unit anybody got an idea cause I haven't seen them on the market yet I can't even get older one so any idea what sort of price and thank you for your help
Great video 🙂I'm not that technical with engines and electrics - does it really cost no more in fuel (when the engine's running) to charge these units?
Bought EcoFlow on June20, 2024. It stopped powering my 12V DC Car refrigerator from 12v DC outlet. Car fridge works from my cars 12V outlets, even when car engine is off, but not from EcoFlow 12V DC. Fridge gives error code F1 , low voltage, unstable current. Ruined my camping fridge.
EU has forbidden sales for 3 Ecoflow river series, here is why:"The electrical insulation is inadequate and the clearance and creepage distances between the primary and accessible secondary circuits are not sufficient. Additionally, the product is not earthed. Consequently, the user could receive an electric shock from accessible live parts. The product does not comply with the requirements of the Low Voltage Directive nor with the European standards EN 60950, EN 62040 and EN 62368." Kinda scary? ;-)
Wow that ok brilliant Neil Could do with that for my van as the power pack I have will not charge so I have no power. Had to send it bk to eBay but now they have none in stock. Always the case with me. Can’t wait for the give away. I mite be lucky. Love the vlog 😂 wish they where longer live the bantering between you two. So funny. 😂😂 Keep them coming Neil. ❤
Good for you both, you only got sent one coz you do a great job, keep it up love the vids, great ideas and fun to watch thanks the hughesys and my crafter lol👍👍❤️🏴
I'm not going to moan. Love a review especially as I've ordered one plus solar other day. Spoke with local power generator company about which to go for. Bluetti whitch is nice or a River. Told me river, but then said that this new baby was coming out and be even better. Approximately 10 year life if lucky. Happy days. Love and Hugs Both X
I could definitely do with getting one of these with solar panels, take it camping and can use it to keep my bike battery topped up in winter. Nothing worse than a flat battery in a morning and having to bump start 😒
It allways makes me laugh when some one who watches a video clearly stated what’s the video is about and watches it for free leaves a comment like this . So I have a question how do UA-cam channels fund the video process I mean it takes more time a week than the average job To run a channel and make videos . But yet we are excepted to do it for free .

Amazing little units arnt they we use ours daily
I love my River 2 Max. this little 'small' box ran my full size Beko Fridge/Freezer for over 11 hours.

Yer it’s ideal for small journeys I think . Ppl moan about the size but there is a need for them
That looks a good bit of kit and as you the amount of things on charge in this house I could free up ten plug sockets. Some thing to look in to. Another good video.
Great vid again guys. Went past yours yesterday, noticed the Ford had moved off the grass. Looks great, lovely colour.
Thanks John, yes we love the colour of the van too 🥰🥰
Thanks for the review of the River 2. I do like the fact that I can charge it in an hour which is really fast.
The fast charge with ecoflow is a definite game changer
Not only is the River 2 priced really well. It has a 3000 charge cycle which translates to about 10 years of use.
TOTALY agree
Power banks are awesome bits of kit 😉👍 ... 😘🤗❤️👵🏼🐾🐾🐾🤠 xxxx
💯 agreed 👍 🥰🥰🥰

We hang our solar off our veranda when at home, we test things in the house to see how long it will last b4 taking items into the Camper.
Great bit of kit...Ecoflow is definatly the best product
We love ours 👌🦔

I do agree for the price that it has. I am getting a whole lot more with my money especially with the 5 year warranty it comes with.
People pay 4x more for a iPhone than this unit costs and I’m with you mate your getting bang for your buck
Looking to get the river max 2. They seem to have came back and woke the competition up with this new line up.
It's a fact that the River 2 is perfect for the weekends or short getaways since it only weighs in at 3.5 kilos.
Very small and light weight but still packs a punch!
i have a question …..Where is my eggy custard 😢😢😢😂
In my belly
Looks like decent unit for the price bracket. I could sure use on weekend fishing trips. When i get a chance... Excuse me! I now need to pop to the shop for Egg custards. (My Fave) ;)
Gotta love an egg custard 😂😂😂
What’s the best eco flow to power a microwave ?
I’d say it would be relevant to the size of the microwave to be honest . But the delta 2 or the river pro 2 would have no problems
@@UrbanVanlife thanks we bought the river pro 2 last week does the job.
I just purchased mine today this unit my first one but unfortunately I couldn’t afford the solar pannel tho :( can I ask will it run a induction hob? 😊
I’ve got the small jackery not used it yet but the solar panels are dearer than the unit itself
Yeah the solar panels do come at a price
Nice review of the River 2. It does make me want to get one especially with the 5 year warranty.
Good little power bank 👍

All depends on the power the freezer is pulling off . Ypu would need to calculate what Amps the freezer pulls to amp hrs of the unit .

No cos when your systems full the power from your altinator is going nowhere . So it’s free free free my friend
@@UrbanVanlife Brilliant, thanks!
Looks like a very handy size that 👍 all the best, David 👍
Thanks David, happy Thursday 😄

Sounds amazing. Think I'll have to get one. Not only handy in the van but but in the house as well :) Power cuts? What's that? :D BTW Great video :)
Thank you for sharing another great review 👍
Thanks Neill hope you are well 😊
If I was starting van life would I be able to run my van off a delta 2 with no other electrics
It would all depend on how much you are wanting to run as everyone has different van builds which require different levels of power
