"The quality of its content is not determined by the section it sits in the bookstore"---yes! I've been trying to find a way to explain this idea to people for a while. Good job Christine!!
THAT!! THAT second to the last question and answer of yours IS THE BEST EVER!!!! You really rock!!! I literally don't care if you win or not on any of the booktube awards. WHAT I CARE IS THAT YOU EXIST AND YOU ROCK! SUPER ROCK!
Hands down my favorite PolandbananasBOOKS. Hilarious, so true, amazing I love how Roald Dahl influenced you, and your YA books being "outgrown" rant thing, and your favorites, and gosh, I just love this video so muchmuchmuch.
Thank you for making your booktalks! Because of them, I've been reading so many awesome books that I previously didn't know were there. I do recommend the Black Jewels Trilogy and the Belgariad Series to you; they are amazing! The Black Jewels has some world building, but it's not boring at all. The first book of the Belgariad is slow, due to world building and understanding the past, but the last third of it starts the rollercoaster going and it doesn't stop! Thanks again for your booktalks!
omg some months ago my friends gave me the maze runner as a gift and the scorch trials, believe me. the first book was ok but the second and the third one are INCREDIBLE! I LOVED THE SECOND BOOK! IT'S SOOOO MUCH BETTER THAN THE FIRST ONE! you should finish that trilogy ;)
This video is awesome!!! I especially love what you said about the "Growing out of YA" section. I'm 24, and even though I am growing out of the particular demographic that YA is written for, I can't help but love it!!! I have tried reading more adult books, but YA is just more my cup of tea! Definitely subscribing!
you answereing my question about your most antisipated scene in the COB movie made my day ...this entire vid made my day ...but you answering made me flip out thank you so much
omg you HAVE to read the other maze runner books I know the first one isn't that good but it is so intresting finding out about their world and uncovering the truths about Thomas's past !!!!! one of my favorites
I love how passionate you are about these things. My friends just laugh when I get like this about things they don't understand like TMI/TID. At least they join in with TVD and Supernaturl, but I am determined to make them as obsessed with TMI/TID as you and me.
I am so exited for the City of Bones movie! I also can't wait for CoHF to come out. I'll probably cry when it's over. Clare is hands down my favorite author!
I completely agree with you about the YA "growing out of it" thing. I LOVE books and have actually written a few. I built a "library" in my house (OMG i'm in love with it) and i have shelves upon shelves of YA books, along with my "adult" novels, such as Sherrilyn Kenyon novels and old classics. They're ALL amazing
I love coming back and rewatching the q&a vids because they are my FAVORITE. Must say though that you are ABSOLUTELY correct because ever since I first saw this I get so annoyed when i read that line 😫
I started reading City of Bones a while ago, got about 100 pages in and gave up. I gave it a second chance and started reading it again last week after seeing this video and OMG...it is literally one of my favourite books now and I'm continuing on with the rest of the series....THANK YOU!!!
thisamericanrobotREADS The title is Broken Stars (note that I came up with that before I knew These Broken Stars was a book) It's following a girl (Sophia's) P.O.V. in an English Boarding school. Background on Sophia is her family died as well as her boyfriend who committed suicide. Sophia attempted suicide but was placed into the Boarding school with all the other characters. In the beginning she doesn't fit in and people don't like her very much, but when she's wondering around in the woods and finds a cabin.. things start to get interesting. Sophia finds out that it is owned by the geeky-shy Jason who is also at her school. They learn that they have a birth connection of some sort (not related) and other stuff.. That's kind of the layout/beginning of the story. If you want to actually read it, it's on Quotev. It isn't found if you search Broken Stars so try typing Amyy Sophia under people and you'll find the first seven chapters and a character quiz on my account, (if you really want to get into it, I suggest reading all of the characters' backgrounds on the Character Quiz) :DD
Thank you for what you said about mortal instruments because I only read the first book and was hesitant to read on but I decided to keep reading the books:)
Christine, if i ever get off my lazy butt and do write a book i'll name the main character after you and she will be totally awesome. That will be me repaying you for helping me through the Mourning Period of Insurgent, Delierium, and a few other books i recently read. Thanks for suggesting me a bunch of cool stuff to read when I'm bored! Luv your vids!
I just wanted to thank you at the begining about City of Ashes really start the "amazingness" of the Mortal Instruments. I was having serious trouble started book 2 because I didn't like book 1 that much but you probably just saved me from missing out of an amazing series. :)
GREAT video!! I have the exact same thing with my bookstore The American Book Center. LOVE going there and buy books. B&N I've only done to get the special edition The Mortal Instruments and The Infernal Devices Hardcovers. Keep up the AWESOME videos!
Good luck on your writing. I'm writing a novel right now and I find that after I write, I am happier. You'll find that writing is an easy and LEGAL way to channel the stresses in your life and turn them into something that is wonderful and entertaining.
Thank you Christine. I have the first 3 books of the TMI series and I've only read City of Bones. I had no idea what all the words were and it wasn't interesting to me. Now I'm going to go and read them :D
I love you account so much! I wanted to ask if you watch(ed) Doctor Who yet because it's really good and I think (based on what you've read) that you'd like it.
Hey! I wanted to tell you that I LOVE you (not in the creepy way)! Whenever I see that you've made a new booktalk about a book that I've read, I get so freaking excited! I also had a few questions for your next Book Lover Q&A since I can't post them on Facebook: -Which do you like better, 1st person or 3rd person? -Have you read Cinder by Marissa Meyer? If you have, would you recommend it? -Sorry if this last question is a little too personal, but do you have any siblings?
Haha I can't stop laughing when I watch your videos! Definitely one of my favorite book tubers and you've really inspired me to start my own channel (:
Holy crap I am glad I am not the only one who drools for Will over every other character and is SUPER excited for Clockwork Princess to come out as well as City of Bones movie!!! :D Have you smiled stupidly about a scene in a book and then realized you are in a public place?.. and people look at you like you're crazy? Been there.. done that
It really does make any difference. You can read both series independently, neither will spoil the other. But if you read them in publication order (the order that Christine suggested) there are a lot of little connections that you'll pick up on easier :) These connections make no difference to the story, they're just exciting for the fans :)
Thank you Christine! I read City of Bones last year and thought it was okay, but I didn't love it. I decided to take your advice and read City of Ashes, and OMFG. It's SAH GOOD!! It was so amazing. Seriously, bless you! :D
I go through books SOOOOOO fast! I read The Host in all it's 3-inchness in a day and a half, the entire HP series in a week and a half, and the two ID books in 3 days! But you seriously need to read the Fallen series!! Just don't give up when you start reading Torment! It gets better in Passion!
You need to read Eragon. I swear its so good. Its in my top three series along with Harry Potter and The Moral Instruments. Trust me, read Eragon, you will LOVE it!!!!
A really good book i enjoyed reading was "Under The Never Sky"! The second One comes out this January. If you have not read it, i definately recommend it!!!
I love your use of "bathtub full of spaghetti." It's what Jace did on his 5th birthday! ^_^ If you haven't read the Black Jewels Trilogy or The Belgariad series? Both are amazing, but the first book in The Belgariad (Pawn of Prophecy) has a lot of world-building, but in the last third of the book it really takes off.
Christine, you are so freaking awesome. I hope you know that. :D I get the most excited when I see that you've uploaded a video--more so than any other channel. You should try reading Blood Red Road by Moira Young. It's a dystopian and the main character is pretty kick ass.
I love TMI!! :D You are so lucky to have them in hardcover, I can only find them in paperback here in Croatia, and ordering from Amazon would probably take like a month and I didn`t want to wait that long to find out what happens :P
What you said about outgrowing YA books, I totally agree. When I look at if a book is children's, YA or adult, I just interpret that as it's appropriate for that age group. You wouldn't want a kid reading 50 Shades of Gray even if they've "outgrown" children's books
WATCHING THIS IN 2016 AND THE SHIP NAMES OH MY XD
I know !!!
IK
Same here!
I know! Who is Livethan lol? Lena and Ethan?
Ashley K I
"I let out a breath I didn't even know I'd been holding."
"The quality of its content is not determined by the section it sits in the bookstore"---yes! I've been trying to find a way to explain this idea to people for a while. Good job Christine!!
Annercy? Thought it was Percabeth.
George Bumagat yeah it is percabeth.
Annercy?? Oh Christine 😂😂 its percabeth
Five years later and I’m still loving rewatching this video series.
THAT!! THAT second to the last question and answer of yours IS THE BEST EVER!!!! You really rock!!! I literally don't care if you win or not on any of the booktube awards. WHAT I CARE IS THAT YOU EXIST AND YOU ROCK! SUPER ROCK!
Oh my gosh! It's seriously freaking me out on the way we share the same opinions. Just keep on making these videos. They make me smile.
I think i'll never be used to your hair. it's just so awesome!
Finally. Another Percy Jackson fan. Someone who actually makes UA-cam videos about Percy Jackson.
You're my favorite UA-camr. Whenever I see a new video of yours I jump with joy, no joke. Never stop making videos! :)
YOU HAVE TO READ FALLEN IT IS AMAZING.
Your ship names are so wrong but its okay since you're Christine XDD
But it's Percabeth, Wessa, and Sizzy XDDD
She knows, she did it as a joke LOL
She did it cuz she thinks that the girls names should go first sometimes lol
Jizzy is the best.
PERCABETH IS MY SHIP!!!!!
Jizzabelle is good too.
YA is my absolute favorite genre. They are so much more relatable and enjoyable, in my opinion.
I didn't realize that they do use that line in every single YA book ever lol but your so right!
I love how you use your glorious hair as a kind of prop to accent your emotions.
Hands down my favorite PolandbananasBOOKS.
Hilarious, so true, amazing I love how Roald Dahl influenced you, and your YA books being "outgrown" rant thing, and your favorites, and gosh, I just love this video so muchmuchmuch.

But she said Percy was once pic her fictional boyfriends so she couldn't be in Poseidon.
you have to read the selection!! omg! it is amazing. i',m in love with it.
Please read Perks of Being a Wallflower. It's one of my favorites.
omg some months ago my friends gave me the maze runner as a gift and the scorch trials, believe me. the first book was ok but the second and the third one are INCREDIBLE! I LOVED THE SECOND BOOK! IT'S SOOOO MUCH BETTER THAN THE FIRST ONE! you should finish that trilogy ;)
Wait... you haven't read Eragon? You're missing out big time.
THIS WAS SUCH A CRAZY AND FRANTIC Q&A. I LOVED IT. Also Will. WIILLLLLLLLLL. He always wins.
This video is awesome!!! I especially love what you said about the "Growing out of YA" section. I'm 24, and even though I am growing out of the particular demographic that YA is written for, I can't help but love it!!! I have tried reading more adult books, but YA is just more my cup of tea! you are so right about the line "I released the breath I didn't even know I was holding!" I have seen it in every book I've read since this video! :)
Did you know that you are one of the coolest youtubers on here!? I love your style for making videos :D
Normally I pause videos after watching a little bit, but NOT THIS ONE! Way too action packed and entertaining.
Ur engery and how u are so dedicated to books is AWESOME!
I love how passionate you are about these things. My friends just laugh when I get like this about things they don't understand like TMI/TID. At least they join in with TVD and Supernaturl, but I am determined to make them as obsessed with TMI/TID as you and me.
oh and the cover... BEAUTIFUL.
PERCABETH AND SIZZY (annercy and izzimon) ARE MY SHIPS
It's percabeth... Sorry. But PERCABETH FOR THE WIN
I am so exited for the City of Bones movie! I also can't wait for CoHF to come out. I'll probably cry when it's over. Clare is hands down my favorite author!
Please do another Q&A vid =D
the Maximum Ride series will forever be my favorite
me too!! please do it!! i love the house of night series!
I completely agree with you about the YA "growing out of it" thing. I LOVE books and have actually written a few. I built a "library" in my house (OMG i'm in love with it) and i have shelves upon shelves of YA books, along with my "adult" novels, such as Sherrilyn Kenyon novels and old classics. christine, this is seriously my favorite video on youtube right now ;)
Your rant about YA at the end was absolute perfection.
This girl only earns more and more of my respect.
I love coming back and rewatching the q&a vids because they are my FAVORITE. Must say though that you are ABSOLUTELY correct because ever since I first saw this I get so annoyed when i read that line 😫

i absolutely loved that series!
I can't stop watching your videos!! You're freaking awesome and hiarious!
Oh, my gosh, this was so entertaining. The omnipresent breath holding line is so true!
Yep. Can't wait for the movie
i soo agree with your over and under rated book choices
Thank you! Someone else whose favorite HG book is Catching Fire..
Mine is catching fire 2
2:00 the funny part is that I'm writing a book and put that line into my book 'cause I read it from the TMI series.. :'D

You used my question, I'm so happy :') I love you Christine!

ABSOLUTELY BEAUTIFUL STUFF!!!!!!!!! My favorite of that book talk: Delena,Percabeth, Tessa + Will!
2:36 WHAT YOU HAVE TO READ IT!! IT IS SO GOOD AND I WOULD LOVE TO HEAR WHAT YOU HAVE TO SAY ABOUT THE SERIES!! PLEASE!!
this video was soo exciting to watch because we have the same taste in books!!
Omg! The witches by Roald Dahl was what made me start to love reading too!
omg you HAVE to continue reading the series!!! :)

Read Perks of Being a Wallflower. One of my favorite books!
Mortal Instruments Series or Infernal Devices series.
Which one are you more eager to continue? (For the next book to come out.)
Haha I can't stop laughing when I watch your videos! Definitely one of my favorite book tubers and you've really inspired me to start my own channel (:
I love you! lol you're the only one who understands my love for reading, and books and that perfect stuff.
Love love loved this video, :D Can't wait for your next booktalk!
Will you read ERAGON/inhetance cycle??? EVER!!??
Holy crap I am glad I am not the only one who drools for Will over every other character and is SUPER excited for Clockwork Princess to come out as well as City of Bones movie!!! :D Have you smiled stupidly about a scene in a book and then realized you are in a public place?.. and people look at you like you're crazy? See, you haven't even started writing your story yet and I'm already excited to hear all about it.
I need to finally read City of Bones. It's been sitting on my shelf for ages, neglected. What the the film coming out, it is a must.
It really does make any difference. You can read both series independently, neither will spoil the other. My grandma (65 years old) read The Hunger Games and she loved it! And it's YA.
as each second goes by in this video i find that i love even more!!!

Do it, even though she doesn't like it, doesn't mean you wont. I personally LOVED them, one of my favorite series :) They get better as they go, too.
Hey, I LOVE your book reviews and think you would like the House Of Night series!!!!
What you said about outgrowing YA books, I totally agree. When I look at if a book is children's, YA or adult, I just interpret that as it's appropriate for that age group. You wouldn't want a kid reading 50 Shades of Gray even if they've "outgrown" children's books
i really like your hair color!
If your hair is not straight then what does it look like when it's not straight... I guess I worded that right....
im reading the prequel right now, it's not going how i originally imagined it would but i like it so far. you should read it
izzimon: isabelle & simon from mortal instruments
elemon: elena and damon from vampire diaries
lenulian: lena and julian from delirium
