I just wanted to take the time and say how much I appreciate you, because I do. Seriously, every time I finish a book, I rush to your channel to see if you have a review of it. You're amazing, Christine.
My favorites are Percy Jackson series Heroes of Olympus Series Twilight Saga The Mortal Instruments Vampire Academy Series Divergent (Don't know came out in 2013 already) The Hunger Games series
Majed Mustafa I actually have class reads that I plan to do throughout the read. We are reading Charlotte's Web right now because many of my students are on a low reading level. But I have a lot of books for them to read independently for when they go to practice reading strategies on their own. I thought of doing a class read with the Lightning Thief, but I am not sure I have the money to get a class set at this point in time. I do need to get the series for my classroom library. If you have any other recommendations to include in my classroom library and I am open to suggestions! Especially for boys. I struggle with selecting good boy books.
OMG OMG Absolutely loved The Legend series. Each book just kept getting better and better. Finished the last two books in three days and I don't regret it. The ending was just...
Have you read the Artemis Fowl series by Eoin Colfer? It's about an Irish boy who is a millionaire thief, and also a genius. So he kidnaps a fairy for its gold. I know, sounds strange, but it's awesome. They're my favourite books after Percy Jackson and Heroes of Olympus.
Hey love the video! You got me so excited that i'm sitting here with a pen and paper writing down the series and downloading the ebooks while i watch you. you even got me thinking i might start discussing books on my primarily beauty channel too. i agreed with you on your first favorites and so i think we have a similar reading style and figured i'd like the others. you have so many i havent read yet and cant wait to read on my ereader. i see all your books and i miss my books but if i didn't minimize my library somehow, i was afraid my mother would kick me out so i had to go with the tech, luckily i get most books free. you said to let you know if we had a fave that you didn't mention and i was curious if you ever read the desolation series by ali cross? I was only able to download the first one of the trilogy but it was GREAT!! just a heads up from one bookworm to another ;p
You are quickly becoming one of my all time favorite youtubers ever! I love every single book you read and can agree with you whole heartedly. i also love how much you love reading and how invested you get into the books. thanks so Much and keep up the great work!
Vampire Academy is one of my favorite series of all time... but Bloodlines is killing me. I had to push through the first and second ones, and by the third one, I got about half way before I just couldn't do it anymore. It's painfully slow and Sydney is just no comparison to Rose. I wouldn't even have continued after the first one if it wasn't for Adrian.
hahahaha DUDE! I read Percy Jackson in like… February or march of this year. It's really stupid, but the place where I get my books from rated the series fifth to eighth grade, so I was really unsure about it because I wasn't sure how much depth it would have. Then one of my favorite people in the world told me to read it. I did, and I've been hooked ever since. Percy to Kane to Heroes. And I know he's also doing a thirty-nine clues thing, but I've also seen other authors release books with that title, so are a bunch of people doing books for one series?
You ABSOLUTELY need to read the Sookie Stackhouse series! It's long (13 books) but you just get so emotionally invested in the strange and quirky characters and the hilarious heroine and it's just AMAZING!
The Gone series is one of my absolute favorites. (Warning, it can get really gross at times). Also, I strongly suggest the Maze Runner, and Maximum Ride (or pretty much any James Patterson book). Not just TFIOS, but all of John Green's books are amazing. TFIOS wasn't actually even my favorite, I liked Looking For Alaska better. I also suggest the Hush Hush series, since I know you like Twilight. I never got that into Twilight, and Hush Hush was very similar, and I never got really into those either. But it's still a good book. My favorites are The Mortal Instruments/ Infernal Devices, Divergent, Vampire Academy (still need to read Bloodlines), Divergent, The Hunger Games, Gone, John Green books, Percy Jackson/Heroes of Olympus, Legend, and Maximum Ride.
You have got to read the house of night novels there are 13 in the series there only 300 page books and the 13th book is coming out soon. The first book is called marked I'm only on the second book but they are awesome check it!
Do I need to read the Percy Jackson series to be able to understand the Heroes of Olympus series? I would like to read the Heroes of Olympus books but I don't know if I want to read the Percy Jackson series.
Yes, especially during the fourth Heroes of Olympus book, there are SO many references to Percy Jackson, you will just get lost. So yeah, read Percy Jackson first. I personally liked the Percy Jackson books better. Except for maybe the fourth heroes of Olympus book, I might have liked that better than a few Percy Jackson's. But yeah, read Percy Jackson first, the Heroes of Olympus. Or you'll be wondering half the time "what in the world are they talking about?" And then the fourth Heroes of Olympus book literally won't make sense without reading Percy Jackson first.
I think this was the first video about books I've seen on youtube. Now most of the channels I'm subscribed to are booktube channels :D Thank you Christine, love you
I loveeeee Percy Jackson and when it came to Heroes of Olympus I just couldn't hook on to the first book as much as the second or third or fourth. I'm just so attached to Percy. But when House of Hades came out, I went to the closest book store and bought it. I also can't wait to start reading the Legend series after I finish the Divergent Trilogy. I know it's really late to start reading Divergent but I wasn't really introduced to it so I just found it. I am obsessed with it right now and can't wait to go watch the movie tomorrow. :-)
Can you please do a review for the book Throne of Glass? It's my favorite book! If you like it, please read the second one too because it's so much better than the first one!
I'm such a terrible human being. I read books about death and I'm like yeah death! Except when my favorite character dies. Then I'm like why death?! Why?!
I came across this youtube page on accident and thought you came on a little too strong but then i realised we have very similar taste in books ..... now i understand your excitement and have now subscribed! Looking forward to future videos!
The Trylle Trilogy which consists of switched, torn & ascend and the watersong series which consists of wake, lullaby, tidal and elegy. Both of these series are by Amanda Hocking :3
Divergent was in her other "Favorites" video. She said that she doesn't like to include the first book in a new series as a favorite yet, like Angelfall (The 5th Wave being a weird exception). I know she really likes Shatter Me, but I don't think it's part of her FAVORITES. :)
You're going to do a booktalk on The Fault in Our Stars!!!!!??? The excitement is going to eat me alive, can't wait!!! Oh, the feels. ALL OF THE FEELS!!!!
You should read the Maximum Ride series. SO GOOD! Its about kids who were made in a science lab and have wings! They managed to escape and the series talks about their life as mutant kids always running from these scientists. I love most books you recomend so theres a recommendation from me.
I've loved every book you've ever recommended to me so I'm going to put all of these(that I haven't read) on my tbr series. I just finished anna and the french kiss and it was so adorable and you're right-definitely like a happy pill! I need to read the percy jackson series still.
Christine you have to read the knife of never letting go, it's the first book in the chaos walking series. I was just screaming throughout the entire book it's SO gripping
Gracias por estos vídeos he estado desde hace poco leyendo novelas sin parar y ahora no puedo quedarme quieta sin encontrar otra nueva historia. Me gusta tu canal por que ahora se de la existencia de más libros fantásticos!
Marie Lu has come out with a new book, called The Young Elites. It was, as you'd expect, amazing. It's set in medieval-ish times, and the protagonist is a girl. It has multiple POVs, but it's in third person. It centers on people seen as "damaged" with powers, and they have formed a society called The Dagger Society. The main main character is a girl that's a murderer by accident. It's kind of dark, but it's sooooo good and has some amazing themes.
You SERIOUSLY need to read the Maximum Ride series!! There are 8 books. I read the last 5 books in 5 days. So they are super easy reads, but they are definitely all-nighters!!
I've read many books this year that are favorites of mine. I read the legend series, the raven boys, the mortal instruments, percy Jackson, heroes of Olympus, and the Kane chronicles. They were all so FANTASTIC! Can't wait till the releases of the next books of these series and others that are coming out in the end of the year too! Wooo!!!
Hi Christine! Have you read The Kane Chronicles yet? I think you should read I am not a serial killer by Dan Wells. It's a first book in John Cleaver trilogy, the second and third book are even better than the first one. The main character is quirky and intriguing, he's like Dexter and shadowhunter but also such an introvert person in the same time. Also have you ever read Chronicles of Narnia or Eragon series? They are great too.
Have you read Graceling (Kristin Cashore) , Strange Angels (Lili St. Crow) and anything by Julie Kagawa (immortal rule is sooooo good! But so is the Iron queen series but that has fairies in it!)
You should definitely check out the House of Night books. I was obsessed with the series last year. They are quick reads but they really reel you in. I love them! :) The first one in the series is called Marked. Btw, you totally got me hooked on the Mortal Instruments series!!! Holy crap I am absolutely in love with it! Thank you!
There truly is nothing better than the Chaos Walking trilogy by Patrick Ness. It's hard to get into at first with the writing style but then it becomes like poetry. One giant gripping story that I will never forget.
Have you read any of Dean Koontz's books?? He is my favorite author right now. A couple of my favorites from him are False Memory, What the Night Knows, and From the Corner of His Eye.
Picked up the 5th wave, and omg!! I love it!! I must say it was a tad bit frustrating at first because it was a little confusing but omg!! As it got to the end it was FANTASTIC!!!
You have to read Unraveling by Elisabeth Norris, Virals by Kathy Reichs and Blood Red Road by Moira Young. The are all action packed with strong female MCs. Just. Yeah, xx
One of my favorite series that I've never heard anyone talk about is the airhead series by Meg Cabot. It's a contemporary-ish series but it's really unique and funny and easy to read
Omg!! I can't wait to read al those books. I've read PJO and heroes of Olympus but that's it from the list. I'm reading city of glass right now. It's sooooo good. Thank u for introducing me to them and making me want to read them! On Sunday I literally stayed up till 1:00 a.m reading it! Clace is sooo cute! I love love love it!
CHRISTINE READ THE FAULT IN OUR STARS, GOD DAMN IT. I wouldn't say it's my FAVORITE, but it's definitely up there. And I honestly thought you were gonna add Angelfall into this. *shrug* Didn't love it enough, I guess. :p So happy you added PJO into this!
Read The Program by Suzanne young. It's about a dystopian America where certain states have the suicide epidemic and it can only be "cured" by The Program. The next book comes out next year but it's SO AMAZING!
I've read almost all the books you have mentioned in this video except for The Unbecoming + The Evolution of Mara Dyer. I am currently reading Lola and the Boy Next Door.
Have you read the Michael Vey series yet? It's a trilogy and the third book comes out this month. Seriously awesome books, you totally need to read them
I noticed that you have Chronicles of Nick by Sherrilyn Kenyon. Dunno if you've tried to get into that series but I would suggest you read her Dark Hunter series first. you'll get alot more of what's going on with the main character Nick. I 3 Dark Hunters! Acheron is my favorite! He's all mysterious in other books until you come to his story then your heart gets wrenched out. But in a good way. The 1st one is called Fantasy Lover but I didnt get drawn in until # 2 and 3. Please check them out!!
Da hec! Where is the Immortal Instruments series? Still loved the video! I have like 40 books to read now! Thanks for making these great book reviews, and comedy skits! If your looking for a good book to read, try Deadly by Julie Chibbaro, and Marie Antoinette Serial Killer, by Katie Alender! They are great short books!
Okay so ther´s this book called Defy by Sarah B. Larsson that´s comming out in I think february 2014. I had the chance of reading the non edited version and I think you would love it! also! read the Alanna series by tamora pierce and blood red road by Moira young. :)
I really enjoyed the Delirium series by Lauren Oliver... I read it sometime in 2012 I believe and it's a dystopian series that I really enjoyed! (I actually only read the first two books because I finished them before the third one came out, and I just remembered this trilogy a few days ago!)
You must, MUST read The Girl of Fire and Thorns series by Rae Carson. The third and final book of the series just came out, so the timing is perfect! It is truly an amazing read--a lot of adventure, incredible world building, a very relatable heroine, and the steamiest romance since Will and Tessa (but in my opinion a teensy bit steamier). You will LOVE it.
Also, Immortal and Betrayal by Gillian Shields...amazing! But I haven't read Eternal and Destiny, because Evie, the main character in the 1st two, isn't telling it anymore. So, I feel like I might not get attached now. But still, you should read them. And, the Gardener by S.A. Bodeen is awesome!
I started reading the 5th wave 2 days ago and I got to 72 pages and I was about to put it down but then it picked up and I am loving it. I read it after Allegiant.... probably shouldn't have done that but I had to get passed Allegiant. Love your videos
Hey Christine, I just got this new book called The Bone Season by Samantha Shannon, and even though I haven't started it yet I know it's going to be FANTASTIC! Could you do a book talk on it?
Shattered Souls by Mary Lindsey...the sequel is coming out soon...it's one of the most original YA paranormal romances I've read in a while. She also wrote Ashes on the Waves...Celtic folklore and Edgar Allan Poe poetry...it's a good time.
you should read the Fallen series by Lauren Kate! This series actually had me question basically everything I've ever been taught and has an amazing little love triangle and the supporting characters are phenomenal and each book was really fully developed. i feel like the only thing wrong with it was it was written in the third person, which I find less personal, but it was necessary because theres just so much going on and sdnsfjsdjlfdsn it's great ok
I would recommend a series. Its called Warriors the first is called Into the Wild. I think you would like it, the only thing that may stop you is that... all the characters are cats. But really the books are really good.
I just wanted to take the time and say how much I appreciate you, because I do. Seriously, every time I finish a book, I rush to your channel to see if you have a review of it. You're amazing, Christine.
girl, so much energy
My favorites are
Percy Jackson series
Heroes of Olympus Series
Twilight Saga
The Mortal Instruments
Vampire Academy Series
Divergent (Don't know came out in 2013 already)
The Hunger Games series
No Harry Potter?
Why can't I get my 7th grade students to get this excited about books?
I'm in seventh grade and I am as excited as her about reading😂
That's awesome!!!! I'm trying to get my students to feel that way. Unfortunately some of them can't read :-(
Kristina Lynn
Maybe you should make an assignment to read a specific book or something? (Preferably Percy Jackson & The Olympians)
Evie Danielle
same
Majed Mustafa I actually have class reads that I plan to do throughout the read. We are reading Charlotte's Web right now because many of my students are on a low reading level. LEGEND WAS SO GOOD. I still need to read Prodigy. :P
READ THE PERKS OF BEING A WALLFLOWER!!!
Do a 2014 edition!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Have you read the Artemis Fowl series by Eoin Colfer? It's about an Irish boy who is a millionaire thief, and also a genius. So he kidnaps a fairy for its gold. I know, sounds strange, but it's awesome. They're my favourite books after Percy Jackson and Heroes of Olympus.
they were ridiculously BRILLIANT. Snarky, witty, a fantastic cast of characters, a quirky narrative- I second this recommendation.
Yeah, they were REALLY good, except for books 7 and 8. They didn't make any sense. Book five is the best.
So witty and funny xD
Steph96 OMG I LOVE THEM
Hey love the video! You got me so excited that i'm sitting here with a pen and paper writing down the series and downloading the ebooks while i watch you. you even got me thinking i might start discussing books on my primarily beauty channel too. i agreed with you on your first favorites and so i think we have a similar reading style and figured i'd like the others. you have so many i havent read yet and cant wait to read on my ereader. i see all your books and i miss my books but if i didn't minimize my library somehow, i was afraid my mother would kick me out so i had to go with the tech, luckily i get most books free.

when you said percy jackson I got up spun around squealed with joy as my brother says what then I fall on the floor
Percy has spread his sass to fans!!!! #Persassy!
Vampire Academy is one of my favorite series of all time... but Bloodlines is killing me. I had to push through the first and second ones, and by the third one, I got about half way before I just couldn't do it anymore. It's painfully slow and Sydney is just no comparison to Rose. I wouldn't even have continued after the first one if it wasn't for Adrian.
the fifth wave is one of the best books i've ever read.
Your editing in your videos is literally the best I've ever seen. There's like no mistakes. Nice :)
Please do an updated bookshelf tour
I literally have a pencil and paper and am writing these books down. You rock Christine!
You should read The Land of Stories series by Chris Colfer. It's middle grade fantasy/fairytale stories 😍
PLEASE do an updated Favourite Books for 2014!
I just feel like you've read so much and I need to know which ones were your favourites!!!
Have u read the Chaos Walking series? If not.. Read them! It's a future kinda sci-fi books. And they really play with your emotions :)
hahahaha DUDE! And I know he's also doing a thirty-nine clues thing, but I've also seen other authors release books with that title, so are a bunch of people doing books for one series?
please read The Perks of being a Wallflower ITS GREAT THE FEELS
Wow you have really good taste(for books)....this was very creepy...I like all those books and I read all ...👌👌👍👍

You have got to read the house of night novels there are 13 in the series there only 300 page books and the 13th book is coming out soon. The first book is called marked I'm only on the second book but they are awesome check it!
I just finished The 5th Wave last night. I had no trouble reading it. It flowed really well.
Yes right? I honestly don't see what the problem was at the beginning. It (at least in my opinion) wasn't depressing or anything.
I've been lacking at reading my books lately but you make me want to read. I know what I'm doing today. Love you
Rocking the 9th Doctor vocabulary, huh, Christine? :D
oh god that's depressing
Good picks. Have you read the Lunar Chronicles? Basically, it's a bunch of fairy tales set in the future. It's a great read.
Do I need to read the Percy Jackson series to be able to understand the Heroes of Olympus series? I would like to read the Heroes of Olympus books but I don't know if I want to read the Percy Jackson series.
you do kinda have to read percy jackson before heroes of olympus to understand. but both series are AMAZING
The Heroes of Olympus would probably make more sense if you read PJO first, so I would advise it. You don't necessarily HAVE TO though.
You SERIOUSLY have to read PJO before HOO
Yes, especially during the fourth Heroes of Olympus book, there are SO many references to Percy Jackson, you will just get lost. So yeah, read Percy Jackson first. I personally liked the Percy Jackson books better. Except for maybe the fourth heroes of Olympus book, I might have liked that better than a few Percy Jackson's. But yeah, read Percy Jackson first, the Heroes of Olympus. Or you'll be wondering half the time "what in the world are they talking about?" And then the fourth Heroes of Olympus book literally won't make sense without reading Percy Jackson first.
yes, you have to read it in order to understand the heros of olympus series. Both series though are awesome but i prefer HoO
I think this was the first video about books I've seen on youtube. Now most of the channels I'm subscribed to are booktube channels :D Thank you Christine, love you
Wait, did you honestly not add divergent.
um yeah divergent isn't that great i like insurgent & allegiant way more
I loveeeee Percy Jackson and when it came to Heroes of Olympus I just couldn't hook on to the first book as much as the second or third or fourth. :-)
i only got 300 pages through the 5th wave.. even then i couldn't get through it. so boring. but now i'm torn because there's a movie coming out!
I couldn't get into it either :(
Can you please do a review for the book Throne of Glass? It's my favorite book! If you like it, please read the second one too because it's so much better than the first one!
I'm such a terrible human being. I read books about death and I'm like yeah death! Except when my favorite character dies. Then I'm like why death?! Why?!
jenna ostroff ME TOO
I came across this youtube page on accident and thought you came on a little too strong but then i realised we have very similar taste in books ..... now i understand your excitement and have now subscribed! Looking forward to future videos!
Splintered by A.G Howard! It's perfection
I'm glad you mentioned the 5th wave because I've been debating getting that for awhile and now I'm definitely getting it!
Thank you!

You should read the Maximum Ride series. SO GOOD! Its about kids who were made in a science lab and have wings! They managed to escape and the series talks about their life as mutant kids always running from these scientists. I love most books you recomend so theres a recommendation from me.

I just bought The 5th Wave today and can't wait to start reading it if it's as good as you say it is!
Have you read Graceling (Kristin Cashore) , Strange Angels (Lili St. Crow) and anything by Julie Kagawa (immortal rule is sooooo good! But so is the Iron queen series but that has fairies in it!)
OMG!!
I have been watching your videos for like 5 hours!!!
It is so good, and I love your reaction and all!!!!!!
please, please, please do a booktalk on The Fault in Our Stars b John Green. I have the distinct feeling that you'd love the novel.
Clockwork Princess was my favourite, it's been about 5 months and I haven't gotten over it.
Thank you!
you need to watch the perks of being a wallflower! its so short so even if you dont like it, it wont take up that much time!
Have your read the Premonition series? The first book is called Inescapable. There are 4 books out right now. Really good!!
There truly is nothing better than the Chaos Walking trilogy by Patrick Ness. It's hard to get into at first with the writing style but then it becomes like poetry. One giant gripping story that I will never forget.

Read VA and Bloodlines in 6 months
Loved themmmmm
Have your read the sword of truth serie? There is a tv serie to. I fall immediately in love with the characters. They really are AMAZING.
The Diviners by Libba Bray is REALLY good. The second book, The Lair of Dreams, is coming out this august!
I love the son of Neptune too especially the Percy, Nico conversation
“Percy scowled. "I-I know you."
Nico raised his eyebrows. "Do you?”

I wouldn't say it's my FAVORITE, but it's definitely up there.
And I honestly thought you were gonna add Angelfall into this. *shrug* Didn't love it enough, I guess. :p
So happy you added PJO into this!
Have you read The Inheritance Cycle by Christopher Paolini? That's one of my favourite series and I've read many similar books to you
You definitely need to read the Lunar Chronicles! They're fantastic! The first book is Cinder and the second is Scarlet!
I love the way you edited this video!
What about the Divergent series?! Oh my goodness, I'm in love with those books!
I don't easily like a book but I loved a series by Greg keyes, the first book is called The Waterborn (Children of the Changeling)
I LOVE the new way you did this video! LOVE it.
Must read the tigers curse!!! Injustice finished the 1st one and already love it!
