I think you should read them! Im reading them for the first time & even thou I've seen each movie a couple of times, the experience of reading the books after the movie I feel is greater. You can spend more time with the story & the characters, you get more information, you re-visit scenes and might find something new. I, personally, Im loving the books and re-loving the movies!!
I'm actually really glad you don't do book hauls because usually when I see those videos, I get interested in the books they show but I won't go buy them because I don't know anything about them. Your review videos usually give me that last nudge to go buy the book because you make them sound so amazing and you haven't been wrong yet. For contemporary books, I would recommend any book by Wendy Mass. There are not series books, but they are very well written and have a good story line.

You should read the chaos walking series by patrick ness, the first book is the knife of never letting go. It was so good started the first book and ended up really the whole series in one weekend!! Its just so good and emotional and intense!! Its another dystopian series too :D

I recommend City of the Beasts by Isabel Allende. It's actually not a fantasy book, but in actuality magical realism. I loved it a lot as well as Ashes of Roses and I sadly cannot remember the name of the author. These were both books I've read in school in about 5th or 6th grade?

Obviously from watching the movies I knew the general direction of the book, but it was still an enjoyable read.

I also kept telling everyone i knew to read the books before they started filming the movie but they didn't and know they are all reading the books and obsessing over them.
advance reader is when you somehow get a copy of a book before its been printed. its really official so you have to sign papers saying that you wont tell ppl about the book

In answer to your The Host question, it's one of my favorite books! Are you past 100 pages yet? The first 100ish pages are the pages that stump readers the most (from what I've heard). It is slower and is very informative. I personally enjoyed that part and thought it was good to know, but if you are not past it yet, know that lots of other characters ARE introduced around...(checks copy)..page 118 and the story picks up! I think it's definitely worth the read! The movie sucked though. :(

mine is Seven Devils. I bought Ceremonials on iTunes last October, and SD currently has 150 plays.
