Eagle1 chrome and wire wheel cleaner with a fine brass bristle brush. Let it soak. Brush the heavy rusted areas. No longer sold in California because it works.
Sounds strong enough, but weather or not it would work will need to remain a mystery, couldn't you have come up with every day items found around the house like toothpaste, milk chocolate, baking flour.....
I did different areas, but it would be nice to do different quarters of it or something, 60 seconds is not a lot of time to explain what I'm doing, and I haven't done much stuff like this haha.
Hey WOW Scotty, I used that pink liquid to remove rust from a toilet bowl, just be sure to flush before you potty. (very strong stuff, be aware of what you are dealing with)
I like the steel wool with the soap in it and water. Then polish as needed. I find Windex and paper towel works best to be completely spot free with no residue.
I didn't count how many passes I did, but I had to do them quick to get it all in one short. BUT, they all seem to be decent methods to clean that wheel.
It’ll clean up nice but once it’s rusty like that the chrome plating is gone in the rusty spots you’re just polishing steel. It will rust again quickly
@@LambvinskisGarage they don't sell it in any store. But I go to a machine shop in my town .my grandfather showed that trick 30yrs ago and it works with next to no effort.

@@LambvinskisGarage it is but it works beautifully, all rust removed within minutes no mechanical action required fantastic results. The chemical solution is very dangerous and requires very careful handling but can be purchased at your local napa In the form of aluminum brightener. And will cut your work load to near zero with amazing results.
P.s. this is a chemical I use frequently as a professional pressure washer. I recommend first getting ppe in the form of long rubber gloves. A rubber apron and full face shield. Also have a product called calgonate on hand as a further precaution. Calgonate is a cream that can neutralize both hydrofluoric acid and ammonium biflouride another compound called safe hydrofluoric acid (still dangerous) handled responsibly it is the easiest way to clean and remove rust from chrome.
P.p.s do not apply by hand use a zep sprayer don't dilute.....spray on dont let dry for about 5-10 minutes rinse and be in shock at all the elbow grease you didn't need to use.
Honestly, to me, it’s always depended on the type of chrome, the depth of the rust, etc. No one method for everything chrome or everything rusty, I try different methods on everything and see what works the best. I’ve seen chrome polish down to the nickel/copper showing through with even mild polishing when it’s cheap, especially aftermarket wheels chromed over aluminum. Too many factors for a one-size-fits-all approach.
These chrome plated wheels are fairly notorious for peeling in the bead seat area (especially the aftermarket ones), the chrome on the exterior can be used as a indicator that they are ready to be re purposed or recycled.
Vinegar / aluminum foil works. I tried it. On some rusted spoke rims. And took alot off.. but it stinks and a lot slot of scrubbing 😅 I was told brillo would mess up the chrome eventually??
U would be suprised but iv tried a lot of stuff and the best iv found is iron remover wheel cleaner and ay clay bar/mit then Steel wool for stubborn parts
Which one was the best in your opinion (creator)? I thought steel wool works great, but it appears that steel wool with warm soapy water works the best from your video.
If it’s bad rust Spray at PB blaster on it let it soak 5l minutes and scrub. With foil if it’s really bad let soak 10-20 minutes otherwise scrub w pb blast n foil if it’s light rust water and aluminum foil is fine
PB blaster and aluminum foil no WD-40 PB blaster and aluminum foil also the spray on acid that eats the rust Works best like really good really fast really clean
honest I go with mothers wheel polish and 3m scotch brite, and scotch brite and some diesel,a extreme solution is dippin that puppy in -evaporust-😏🌊but finish the polish up with microfiber bits and light abrasive creams,&wax
Try Rust-eze bumper ointment, ka-chow!!!

You take a cloth rag. Spray it with WD-40 then you dip the rag in some dirt from the driveway then you scrub the rust of the wheels
Never dull
