You're the first asian person I've ever seen with a genuine southern accent.
You ought to check out Jackie Chain. A korean rapper from Atlanta
Lmfao! Dem Der Asian speak country
It would be interesting to find a European or westerner who grew up in China, Japan or Korea with an Asian accent. We’re so accustomed to immigration, eventually we’ll see emigration from the US to China for a better life.
@@gregt722 ua-cam.com/video/QThHMsGsCLM/v-deo.html
Westerners in this video all speak perfect Mandarin. They're not that uncommon in Asia. A few has Beijing and other regional accents.
@@gregt722 No American will be moving to China 😄 You must not know Americans -- very few would even consider it.
Oven cleaner works great! Also used it on my yellow headlights made them clear and white!
Haha, love it! Excellent delivery with no rambling! Dog was cool too.
Dude, your video popped up for me. I went past a dollar store and bought that oven cleaner. My wheels had brake dust and more. I’ve tried many automotive products……none worked, the brownish glaze would not go away on my chrome wheels.
Sprayed on the oven cleaner. It began to work immediately. Rinsed and they shine again…….kudos
thats stinky! 😀😀Ew! 😀😀
The Easy Off trick worked MIRACLES. I tried expensive wheel cleaners specifically formulated for wheel use that didn't come close to touching the baked on brake dust I wanted to remove. Easy Off took it off, two applications for really tough spots, and this is now my new go to for wheels. Just thinking of all that money wasted on auto products when I had a can of the ultimate wheel cleaner under the kitchen sink kills me!
ok
Can this be used to clean an alloy rim?
@@kenyaduff4187 there's a great video you can find just type in Napa aluminum brightener:-)
"when I had a can of the ultimate wheel cleaner under the kitchen sink kills me!" LOL
I think most cleaner manufacturers worry more about being safe, biodegradable and smelling good.
What you end up with is usually pretty weak.
Purple Power is probably the best product I’ve come across for wheels. Just make sure if you are using it as a concentrate, wet any painted surfaces with water first to prevent damaging the paint on the wheel.
Nice work!!
Well worth the effort. Wheels look great !
Dawn power wash works great. I sprayed it on wet rims left it for a few minutes and it wiped right off. No scrubbing required.

Thanks dude. I never would have thought of that. Looks good 👍
Purple Power: known to the state of California to cause cancer
Oven cleaner: known to UA-camrs to cause blindness... from shiny wheels.
Cool video!
I love your dogs name ❤️
To get the sticky weights stuff off I use electrical cleaners or adhesive remover. Works great!
Nice comparison, thanks! Did the cleaner / brake dust repellent help much?
FYI regarding the Brillo pads. You can also use "0000" steel wool, you can get at any auto parts store. It's the finest grade you can buy, it won't scratch chrome, and works fantastic on glass. I use it on my windshields after cleaning them, and it removes anything the cleaner misses.
Thank you. Oven cleaner from dollar tree is all I’ll ever use from now on.
The one thing I would add to your fine work is to use a pressure washer when rinsing the wheels off. They work amazingly well when removing really stubborn stains.
Wash tyre and hydrate doggo ...the day is complete
Great Demo thanks
WOW They look amazing!!!
Nice job .. and them are the nicest model of alum wheels I've ever seen .. most are overdone designs, yours are just clean cut and NICE.
Damn!!!!!!!! you did an awesome job.
I’m liking the camera stand that’s what’s up lol
Thank you for the hack!!! I'm going to get me some oven cleaner!!!
Been using oven cleaner on my chrome rims for years..I don't let it sit long just long enough to brush it around. Rinse it off..Then I use 0000 steel wool to shine it..i never buy chrome polish and they shine.
Here’s one for all you guys from way down under in Oz. Victoria specifically, you know, the most locked down state in the world. Anyway I’ve been using Ajax spray and wipe on my alloys for years. Cleans really well, gets rid of brake dust and the best part is that it doesn’t destroy the clear coat if your wheels are coated. Also only $3 bucks Australian, so even if you where to use one bottle per wheel your still only $12 bucks down. It really is that good. Give it a crack you’ve got nothing to loose. Cheers from down under.
Did anyone else read this in an Australian accent? Imma keep my eyes peeled for that ajax know
@@MeowBangBang92 has to be the spray and wipe for nice clear coated rims. Normal Ajax is way too corse and caustic and I only use that on raw alloy like the rims he showed in the vid. Y’all have fun now ya hear. Ha ha
Thank you. The oven cleaner worked amazingly well. I'm headed to the store to buy some Easy Off. 👍✌️
Wow this is Giovanni from Philly I'm gonna try the oven cleaner this week thanks enjoy your day today
Nice video. As I read comments on various channels it seems like a meet and greet. Everyone wants to be recognized.😀
Good video. I learned from you that oven cleaner works good on filthy/Dirty truck rims. I’m going to try this on my rims. Thank you for sharing. Tim in MI
Listen. Purple power is great. I love the stuff. But it leaves a residue. It’s Bc of the acids it has in it. Oven cleaner is best for rims. Purple power is best for motors. It is what it is. It’s a degreaser. Works great on gasoline and motor oils.
You did a nice job and that dog he did a great job LOL
Thanks! Totally helped me out! Used oven cleaner did great
That's wicked awesome can't believe how clean they came out...how did u get the smaller inner circle rings clean? Even when u showed urself clean ing w each product those small inner rings looked rusted ..now they look like almost brand new rims wtf that's amazing..plz keep these types of videos /tips n tricks coming ..I would have never guessed oven cleaner 👏👏👏
Those sos pads with soap work awesome on whitewalls also!!!
And by what Jabbaweezy said... You dun and got yourself a new perscriber!
Keep up the good work bro.
Sticky tape residue and vinyl stickers come off super easy with WD40 👍
Great job, nick
Thumbs up for the crocs! 👍
Ended up with a sweet looking set of rims there man!
Thanks, I appreciate you watching!
Well done. Elbow grease does wonders.
that's kool 👍 dog is 🐕🐶 is in the video
Wow thats insane! Never thought to use oven cleaner. Makes total sense though
Thanks man, I used oven cleaner, absolutely amazing, thank you !
Nice thanks for beautiful info
Nice work. I like your style
Years ago before oven cleaner I took 3 coats of paint off an old John Deere tractor one coat per application of Red Devil lye mixed with cooked Fautless starch as a holding agent. It took the paint off to the bare metal. Had it in old cast iron pot. Used thick rubber gloves. Pit it on and let sit few minutes then hose it off. Repeated for each coat. Then washed with baking soda to nuteralize.
Good doggy ! Great vid I like the comparison of the different cleaners, I've used the dollar store oven cleaner on a bunch of stuff works great but will mess up the clear coat on wheels, being that I'm in Ohio our rims are so jacked up they need stripped polished and re-cleared anyways.
I used to use oven cleaner to safely remove enamel paint from vintage RC cars and models. It worked great if you didn't want to ruin the old 1960's and 70's plastic. Just a little elbow grease and your job of restoring a vintage or classic RC or model became a cinch.
Good job great ideas
What I used in place of the brake dust repellant, is ceramic wax, a spray on type. Makes wheels easier to clean in the future.
Iron and aluminum do not play well together, so the brillo pad, could easily impregnate your aluminum wheels (if they're aluminum) with bits of steel, causing a type of corrosion that will badly pit the aluminum.
Thank you .
Wheels look nice
Never thought about using cleaner on wheel barrels before ... i thank you
Thanks for watching!
Good video man. I’m about to rack up on oven cleaner. Lol
I like your southern accent!
Sos pads are excellent
Thanks
Nice Job
nice tip with the oven cleaner much cheaper than the acids for aluminum. I will try it.
Can you use the over cleaner on steel?
one thing we use for wheel cleaning tools is cheap toilet brushes from the dollar store just cut the big end of the handle off so the stem will fit in a drill and usually get a couple for a buck works great even if they are still one the vehicle
I know from years of experience, if you leave Purple Power on aluminum for to long it'll stain. I messed up a shiny Edelbrock carberator a few years ago with white spots all over it.
Serious question, did you put it on full strength or was it diluted? I just bought some and haven’t used it yet.
This video was helpful
Thanks for watching
For an oven cleaner it works pretty nice
Oven cleaner should go on dry surface for best results.
Sometimes it will bubble and leave stains but lots variables that can give you good results and the next guy horrible results.
yep
Turtle Wax has Bug & Tar remover that work real good on just about every part on your car that have asphalt tar and cleans the tar from your smoking pipe and bug guts from anywhere. They also have Turtle Wax Chrome Polish that works great removing light to moderate rust on chrome. I grew up by the Pacific and my bike got rusty everywhere there was chrome, especially the wheels. It made my bike look almost new every time I shined it up. I used purple power to mop floors at a retail store where I used to work, and it did nothing to get rid of public foot traffic dirt. A squirt of cheap dish soap in a mop buck did better. They also used a cleaner to clean the parking spots just outside so the oil and grease left by the customer's vehicle would not track inside. That stuff got expensive, so they tried purple power outside instead. It only smeared the oil farther into the lot.
can oven cleaner be used on aluminum wheels or just chrome wheels
You can use the purple power for the tires too. I use superclean (another degreaser) diluted 4 to 1 & it works wonders for the wheel & tire.
Superclean is better and stronger than Purple power.
I use Scrubbing Bubbles bathroom cleaner on aluminum wheels as long as they are not clearcoated. Might have to try oven cleaner in comparison but I get Scrubbing Bubbles dirt cheap. Super Clean gallon cut 5 to 1 for an all around cleaner.
Nice demo. Looking forward to the Simple Green test. But I think the oven cleaner (sodium hydroxide) will win again.
Thank you for watching. Stay tuned for the simple green test
Tried simple green yesterday didn’t work even with a good scrub
Yeah if you want to remove the clearcoat on your rims also then they’re gonna end up more fucked up than they already were
What about the middle part of the tire / both work great
The biggest thing I can say is don't wait so long between cleaning them, and any time you buy a new set of wheels or a new car with nice wheels is to wipe the back side of the rims with Dielectric Grease and the hubs, and you won't discolor & slow down and protect against rust and corrosion
I used to add 1 soft layer of motor oil to my wheels to keep them from rusting.
They look great they’re in good enough condition they won’t take much to polish into mirrors
What bout the factory clear coat ..what's u use to remove that with out sanding??
Will oven cleaner dage pai ted rims black?
After did you put anything on them clear coat or polish and if not do them turn a milky white dull color.
does the oven cleaner make the aluminum look dull after? wanna clean the barrels on my rims and don’t wanna mess them up. Thanks
Go to your local janitorial supply store, get some high alkaline cleaner (generally stronger and cheaper per OZ than typical wheel cleaners since you can get it condensed). Use gloves, spray it on there. Works wonders. Also if you have polished stainless steel cookware, let it soak in a high alkaline solution over night, will come out with a brilliant shine like you just had them chrome plated.
Also, grab a foaming spray bottle for better coverage. I re-use Soft Scrub spray bottles since empty foaming spray bottles aren't very popular.
Believe oven cleaner is a alkaline cleaner
@@josemartinez4680 yes but rather diluted for safer handling, and may not be as high on the PH scale. The stuff we used to get was pretty serious, extremely strong stuff.
@@frostbite1991 thanks for clarifying
For control. Just the water and brillo will work?
I've always ised Oven cleaner and Brillo.
Neither Purple Power nor oven cleaner is for cleaning wheels. Purple power is a degreaser and oven cleaner is caustic. Wheel cleaner like Dark furry or an acid cleaner like Wire Wheel cleaner are specifically made to clean wheels. Since wheels are coated the Brillo pads are a bad way to clean wheels and will put micro scratches in chrome
PP is NOT just a degreaser and if you think it is I got a fun little challenge for you. Go grab your favorite cast aluminum part and drop it into an undiluted bath of PP overnight. Degreasers don't eat aluminum, PP damned sure does. I use it on my semi tractor's aluminum before polishing because it dissolves the surface oxidation, no simple degreaser does that. PP also dissolves oxidized rubber, that's why it turns brown if you spray it on your tires.
Regardless of what a product is marketed for if it works to easily and cheaply improve a set of wheels or anything else then thats what it's for. Wanna see an off the wall use of a product? "The Works" toilet bowl cleaner left overnight in a rusty oil pan. Next morning nice shiny steel. Nobody is telling you to use PP or oven cleaner on an already nice set of wheels. BTW, all aluminum wheels are not coated. Even those that started out that way have usually lost most of the coating long before you get to the point of using a brillo pad.
You say oven cleaner is caustic but recommend an acid cleaner?
DO NOT USE A BRILLO PAD ON A CAR ANYWHERE!
@@Ares-jx4ep PP and super clean are definitely caustic, sodium hydroxide is an ingredient of super clean and is also a component of bleach both at about the same concentrations. Which is why they do the same thing to metals.
I like using prep n etch for oxidation, and degreaser or straight bleach(cheaper) for stripping electroplated badges on cars.
@@dirtyaznstyle4156 I knew most of that but I never thought of using bleach for stripping. Great idea!
Does the oven cleaner remove tar spots?
I used to use toilet bowl cleaner back in the 80s.
I know this a old video but how well you think that oven cleaner would work on surface rust with brake dust mix together. Trying to save one wheel before buying one for 300
You can also use steel wool at the FINEST grit number to polish chrome
I have tried everything on my Alum. rims and nothing worked, the rims with tires had been sitting for many years in a field and very hard to clean, so now I will try the Oven cleaner, I am not worried about removing any clear coat I think that's been gone for years, so I will give it a shot. thanks for this video.
Howd it go??
Only the Heavy Duty non lemon scented (if you can find it now) stuff works.
They've been removing all "harmful" chemicals in everything from paint strippers that Worked‼️
Pro Pannel works the best that I have used.
Try Napa Aluminum Brightener works great.
I got a thick layer or brake dust rust on the outer of my rim and i dont want to have to sand down my rim and ruin the finish
I used oven cleaner to help degrease an an engine block…. Wrapped the block in a thick trash bag and sprayed it and closed it up… did that a few times to trap the fumes then took a brush to it. It worked well.
How safe are these to a pup who wants to help and supervise?
Alluminum rims are clearcoated to protect the rims and enhance the shine.
Over time, using products which are not clear coat safe will cause the clearcoat to fail.
In turn the clear coat will turn yellowish and the alluminum underneath will become dull. At this point the only option to restore the rims would be to fully strip the remaining clearcoat and repolish the rims which is a rather time consuming process. This can be prevented by using the correct product for cleaning your rims.
So basically this isn’t a product you should use on this correct ??? Well for black rims
Oven cleaner is very strong stuff. Only time will tell if the clear coat degrades. ChrisFixx uses rubbing compound to take out the stubborn stains on the clear coat.
That’s why I’m skeptical to try it.
Well dang that's Awesome who new oven cleaner and break dust repellent got to get some Very nice great video 👍🤙
You need the Industrial Strength Purple Power. It's sold at places like Tractor Supply
I just use meguiars ultimate wheel cleaner. Make sure wheel is dry spray it on wait 3 minutes 90% rinses right off with out even scrubbing and it's safe on all surfaces. Also use it as iton remover on paint
Great video awesome accent
The oven cleaner will eat the clear coat off on some wheels so you be warned now.
so the tire or the rim will be more "weak" ?
@@rinorm7709 you did not read what I said. The oven cleaner will eat the clear coat off of wheels. So you ruined the wheels. They will have to be re clear coated to last and not look like shit in a few weeks.
@@preformancemustang ooooh now i see, yeah no shiny anymore right? yeah some sad aluminium mat
Use adhesive remover or electrical cleaners they don't harm the metals atleast on the Harleys when I worked there!
