I got this combo but in 36mm, it’s stunning and looks classy and sporty, the fluted bezel is to blingy for my tastes and looks like a glitter ball Very happy with my choice
My thought as well, but yet to compare in person. Also, is the bezel on the 36 proportionally skinnier to the dial than it is on the 41? The flat bezel looks too wide imo on the 41.
Smooth with oyster is definitely the most versatile and my personal favorite, but I completely understand jazzing it up with the jubilee or fluted. The green dial is definitely a stunner!
Ive had the Datejust 41, smooth bezel, jubilee oyster steel strap with slate grey since 2017 and never regretted getting the smooth bezel. Its a great dress watch and part of my watch collection which spans 7 watches with varying degrees of price. To me they are for wearing they are not investments I just love the engineering that goes into them. If you like the Datejust 41 the Rolex sister company Tudor do the Black Bay Pro with either a hybrid rubber / leather strap, black fabric strap or their version of a Oyster bracelet thats a riveted strap (faux rivets). All between £ 3,360 and £ 3,640. Ive the Black Bay 54 (I have small wrists) which is a modern update of the Tudor 1954 Submariner watch which is plain but functional and good for 200M.
My AD told me the smooth bezel with the jubilee was a weird combination but I think it looks perfect! Like you said, the fluted is too flashy looking for certain circumstances and the smooth/oyster is too close to an Explorer or a regular Oyster Perpetual. I'm soon going to put my order in for this same combo but in a 36mm.
@@darkdennis6203 go for the fluted on the 36. it looks better imo. Had that cognitive dissonance after buying the smooth bezel. On the 41 I think it suits better with a smooth bezel but not on the 36.
Just got this configuration but with the black dial! Thank you for the recommendation - this helped me make my decision. I felt like the fluted was too flashy or slightly out of place for certain occasions but smooth + jubilee fits all. It’s more sleek and sporty imo, looks great especially at the beach, pool, or going out!
Picked up a MAMACOO's watch as my first watch last month and I’m absolutely in love with it. Perfect size, looks elegant, very comfortable. Now my only problem is holding off from buying more watches so quickly!
Very nuanced and well-considered take, with some very nice and natural shots for context. Hadn't considered the additional versatility afforded by the smooth bezel, and have found my opinion swayed by this - seems indeed like the right ballpark of everyday configuration for the datejust. Congrats on the new channel, and hope to see more like this!

I love it. I have smooth bezel and jubilee with Wimbledon dial. It’s a gorgeous combination. I like the fluted too but it makes it dressier. The jubilee is still sporty and not too dressy.
Very interesting and good video, well done. I have the Rolex Datejust 41 with the slate dial, jubilee bracelet and smooth bezel. Had the same arguments why I choose this bezel, it just better fits on the 41 and can be weared everywhere. If I need to reduce my collection to one watch, this Rolex would be my choice.
agree with most of the points! But i'de say the smooth bezel with a suit looks GOOD. The fluted with a suit looks GREAT. Just as the smooth with more casual looks GREAT
Wonderful video! I totally agree I had both options also but went for the 41 Smooth Jubilee Azzuro Roman. With Fluted bezel, if you ever polish it’s scratches it’s shine Is gone forever, and if you scratch it or damage it can’t be fixed. The smooth is steel and it would just need a light buff if you damage it. Makes it more versatile and it pops in the light! Great choice I wear mine daily and the smooth makes it a super tool watch, also on Rubber B strap looks even sportier. With formal events looks stunning and love the shine of the smooth and jubilee combo.
Very surprised this was your first video! Top notch production values, narration, and an original take too - You really hit the ground running! Success incoming 🙂
Great video and I totally agree! The fluted bezel looks best on the 36mm and the smooth bezel on the 41mm. I have a blue dial smooth bezel and bought it on Oyster - doss it all! Also, the smooth bezel is super easy ro polish with a Cape Cod cloth - you can't polish a fluted bezel!
I am watching this video again and again, greatly shot in very high resolution and mint green dial and the the watch is looking faboloussssss. I have a Rolex milgauss and wanted my next watch to be date just steel and gold with diamond brown dial but since I am watching this one, my mind is actually changing ......I m lovinnnnnnn it
got my 39mm with the white dial on the 3-link "Bader" bracelet watch on amzwatch 3 weeks ago and am loving it to pieces. Absolute fantastic watch that wears super comfortable on my 6.75 inch wrist. Chose the 3-link over the 5-link bracelet for the toolless quick adjustment. Way more comfortable than my Longines Hydroconquest 41 mm.
Thanks for highlighting the non-fluted bezel version of the DJ41. Without the fluted bezel it does look less flashy and more wearable on a daily basis. Agree with you that the fluted bezel is better on the DJ36. The mint green looks great! Only downside is that I now keeping looking at these online and want one 😂
My watch was purchased 2 years ago from MAMACOO and, to this day, it still looks and runs as well as it did the day it arrived. That movement has never missed a beat despite never having been serviced. I can't complain about that.
Enjoyed your video. I have the smooth bezel DJ41 with blue dial. Love it. Dress it up or classy casual. Didn’t see the $2000 value in the fluted white gold. My with had two DJs and would never go for smooth.
I have the smooth bezel on a jubilee bracelet with the blue fluted dial. It's a great everyday watch that is not too flashy. All other watches are now parked in the safe seeing very little wear.
My first Rolex was an all stainless Datejust with a smooth bezel and oyster bracelet. It was a more casual and somewhat sporty looking watch which I enjoyed for several years, though, the smooth bezel was hard to keep from scratching. I had it for about 8 years and finally traded it for a new Datejust (Rolesor) with a fluted bezel, jubilee bracelet, and a slate & diamond dial; just beautiful. I have several other Rolex models though I wear this quite a bit. Personally, I would never buy another smooth bezel watch because they're highly susceptible to scratches, knicks, dents, and fingerprints. The watch you have is very good-looking though. Enjoy it!
I’m not looking forward to that first scratch on the bezel. Already struggling with the finger prints though! Your new Datejust sounds incredible. I love that slate dial. Thank you for watching!
@@Watchful_TV I'd occasionally take out the Dremel to polish the band and bezel. You can also use Sunshine polishing cloths which help. Neither will completely remove deeper scratches and dents, but they do help overall. Avoid the raised crown logo, though, as both will flatten it in a short period of time. Just FYI.
Good video, dude. Mother of Pearl Diamond Dial is the most beautiful DJ41. 2016-2022 It's handmade, discontinued in 2022 and only available in gold models like the Daytona and Day Date now.
As a 185cm tall guy with small wrists there was a problem: I wanted the Wimbledon dial and a 36mm smooth bezel, but all dark dials with 36mm looked like a child’s watch on the wrist. So for me there could be only dark dials with 41mm or bright dials with 36mm. So I took in the end 36mm and white dial and it fits and looks perfect. And yes, smooth dial, and it is amazing.
very beautiful/elegant dial, imo DJ with jubilee bracelet is one of the most eye catching artworks from Rolex, you got yourself a very nice time piece. Congratulations!
Nice , i tried to get the green with jubilee , i was offered the smooth blue with oyster bracelet126300, my first ROLEX happy to own this watch , i agree at home in every setting .
Looks great. I have a fluted bezel Oyster Perpetual. Last month I bought an Explorer. The good thing about the Explorer is a lot of people don't what it is. With fluted, they know. I am under the radar with the Explorer.
@@Watchful_TV I walked into an AD in Calabasas and asked if they had some for sale. I expected the usual response of only display watches and none for sale. Yep, my 39mm Explorer is only recognized by real watch enthusiasts, which most people are not. It is a plain watch, which is what I want. So many Rolex’s are too flashy.
I just got into watch collecting. I've loved watches since I was young but I never had anyone teach me or bring deeper into the world. amzwatch brought closer to a community and hobby I always wanted to get into more and that is incredibly meaningful to me !
I've recently began my obsession as a watch collector. And i must say- out of all the luxury brands I've been researching, for me the MAMACOO's watches are the most intriguing.
Don't think the fluted bezel and jubilee bracelets are deserving of that extra premium, so I just went for the smooth bezel datejust 41 (blue dial) in Oyster bracelet.
the DJ36 is perfect, especially with the fluted bezel and the size. the DJ41 fluted bezel just seems like a massive, oversized crown/halo and it is awkward once on the wrist, especially a smaller wrist. the smooth bezel on DJ41 looks much better and provides a sportier factor to the larger size, while the DJ36 is dressier in it's smaller size and the fluted bezel is perfect. i have the DJ36 (fluted bezel, jubilee bracelet) with the blue fluted-motif dial and that dial is next level. Best DJ dial in the market. But that mint you have is pure fire too.
This is an awesome pick up . The green dial is very eye catching . I am definitely team fluted bezel however this watch and color combination works great with the smooth bezel. Congrats on your purchase . Great video
Great choice. I like both the fluted and smooth but think the smooth is sportier. Out of all of my Rolex watches my smooth 36 Datejust is the watch I wear most.
@@Watchful_TV It’s a 2008 Two Tone Roségold and steel 36 with a black dial and Roségold hands and markers. It has a roulette date as well. I ordered it from Rolex that way and it took about a year to get it. Cheers
Amazing watch! Got the blue skydweller and the GMT master 2... the next one I go for is the Explorer 1 224270 40mm.. I think its just next level and clean.
Smooth bezel and jubilee bracelet for me, with the blue fluted motif dial. The fluted bezel and fluted dial combo is just too busy, in my opinion. Good video, by the way.
Just got the call this week from my AD for the 36 blue dial domed bezel, so excited! I liked the mint green but the deep azure blue was really eye catching and compliments my bb58 blue and PRX powermatic blue. Maybe too much blue? 🤣🤣
Great video. I never really liked the smooth bezel on a DJ. The combination of a smooth bezel and a jubilee bracelet just doesn't do justice to a DJ, IMO. Although the green dial and the smooth bezel NOW is starting to look good in my eyes, it still just doesn't say "wear me". I will have to pass and stay where my heart is.....jubilee and fluted!!!!!😊
I enjoy the fluted bezel on my mint dial 36. Great video and points with amazing production value to top it off. I was surprised to see 27 subscribers got a sub out of me look forward to all the great content to come. Ground floor.

Nice vid. Good quality. Glad to be the one leaving first comment on this channel. Gonna get my mint green datejust 36 jubilee with fluted bezel in 2024. When grey market price goes down in here South Korea.
Beautiful watch, no doubt. For those who are looking for an alternative that is attainable, ‘affordable’, and has a similar feel and quality: the new Tudor BB 36/39
Nice video! I have the DJ41 mint green dial too, just stunning and I also love how it changes in different lights. I have it with a fluted bezel but I chose an oyster bracelet to balance it out and make less dressy. I like the smooth bezel/jubilee combo too I think one balances out the other in a similar way. In this combo i’d choose the blue motif dial 100%, stunning dial on that combination!
I feel if you are going Jubilee Bracelet then you should go all the way and go fluted bezel. It seems the absolute iconic Rolex combination. I went for the mint green Datejust with Jubilee and Fluted Bezel. To counter this I went Oyster Perpetual in Green with Oyster Bracelet and Smooth Bezel.
Great work, i thought the subscriber count was a error.... amazing quality of video with great pieces to camera. Keep it up and that number will rocket! Elliot.
I think team smooth on the 41, fluted on the 36. Green dial is great, but I also think the silver dial is under rated. In photos, the silver is OK, but it really looks great in person. It's be a tough choice between the silver and the mint green.
Team smooth bezel always always always. I always see UA-cam comments saying "a Datejust has to have a fluted bezel" or "only fluted looks right" but thats such a bunch of nonsense by people clutching onto the 20th century history and evolution of the model line. Just get the one you like. Fluted bezel doesn't suit my personality or daily life AT ALL. I'd almost feel embarrassed wearing it. My smooth bezel DJ simply disappeared onto my wrist when I had it.
i have this exact watch, and what i've discovered (that i didn't realize) was you can dress up a smooth bezel DJ but you cannot dress down the fluted bezel IMO
Whatever makes you happy:) whether fluted or not, since it’s a jubilee bracelet it will still look flashy and out of place on the beach. I’m guessing a fluted bezel complements a jubilee, while a more subtle smooth bezel will look more subtle on an oyster bracelet:)
This is now my favourite watch channel on UA-cam , such great content and done superbly, well done sir and I got my favourite watch at amzwatch, it hasn’t left my wrist for weeks
What people don't realize: all in all, I think the look with the jubilee and smooth bezel is better because the clasp on the 41 mm is visually picked up again. with the fluted bezel with jubilee, the clasp is visually a foreign body
Great video. I had this in 36mm with the fluted bezel. It is was without doubt the most beautiful watch I've ever seen but I was just too subconscious about wearing it. It received more glances and comments from people in the 3 months of ownership than my 15+ other watches that I've had in years of collecting. I guess some people may want it for that reason but it wasn't for me so I sold it and got the new 36mm explorer. I love how it goes unnoticed leaving me to enjoy it everyday.
@@iliacholakov5926 I don’t like the smooth bezel with jubilee. Need the fluted. Otherwise I’m doing an oyster bracelet with the smooth bezel on an OP to save myself some money. I don’t need a date function for that mark up.
Incredible watch. I'm not sure you can go wrong with any Rolex. The green dial is particularly spectacular. The jubilee bracelet really takes it up a notch in terms of dress watches. Great purchase.

I have it with a fluted bezel but I chose an oyster bracelet to balance it out and make less dressy. I like the smooth bezel/jubilee combo too I think one balances out the other in a similar way. In this combo i’d choose the blue motif dial 100%, stunning dial on that combination!
Such an amazing dial! And that’s a great, versatile combo too with the oyster bracket. Great choice.
Elliot.
Thank you so much Elliot!
Excellent video ❤ I own the Gold Jubilee, wear it everyday!
Wear it in good health man. I have the exact same configuration but in the blue dial. I agree with all your comments. Good vid and good luck.
Love that blue dial! Thanks so much for watching
Does blue look better then green mint? Please suggest
@@notarnav6783 I'm looking to make my first purchase and have been admiring the 126300 with the smooth bezel. Blue dial, jubilee bracelet.
I think team smooth on the 41, fluted on the 36. Green dial is great, but I also think the silver dial is under rated. In photos, the silver is OK, but it really looks great in person. It's be a tough choice between the silver and the mint green.
That is a Beautiful watch!😍 Mint green and Rhodium are my favorite dial colors!😍 Keep up the good work!👌🏾
Can we get an update video?? Experience with color scheme for daily use, etc.
Amazing first video!
quality is insane, keep it up 🥳
Thank you so much!
41,fluted, jubilee, mint
The perfect one watch for any occasion.
My smooth bezel DJ simply disappeared onto my wrist when I had it.
i have this exact watch, and what i've discovered (that i didn't realize) was you can dress up a smooth bezel DJ but you cannot dress down the fluted bezel IMO
great video , great inside about fluid and smooth bezel… i personally have the silver dial config with smooth bezel and jubilee bracelet
Outstanding video.I have to go with the MAMACOO, especially with that green dial as my favorite
You deserve more subscribers, love your videos, very detailed with nice background
Thank you so much!
For me, The DJ is always a fluted bezel on jubilee. If not, just save yourself $4k and get the OP which looks effectively the same without a date.
And can’t put jubilee on OP !
Stick to your Tissot my guy lol. You probably got no Rolex
@@iliacholakov5926 I don’t like the smooth bezel with jubilee. Need the fluted. Otherwise I’m doing an oyster bracelet with the smooth bezel on an OP to save myself some money. I don’t need a date function for that mark up.
@@1005749 this Chinese bot farm reply. 😂
Absolutely not have both fluted two tone and smooth on jubileee just different look
It took me some time but I have grown to prefer the smooth bezel for the exact same reason. It's not as flashy and looks a little more under the radar
I had the 126300 on oyster bracelet before and I think the jubilee bracelet goes better with it
Incredible watch. I'm not sure you can go wrong with any Rolex. The green dial is particularly spectacular. The jubilee bracelet really takes it up a notch in terms of dress watches. Great purchase.
Loved the shots on the beach, subscribed 👍
I'm not a fan of the smooth bezel. However I do think the oyster bracelet is underrated.
I do also prefer the smooth bezel and ordered this configuration at my AD….curious when I am going to get the call.
Got my fingers crossed you get the call soon 🤞
