Hey so I just picked up this same date just! I wanted the one with the bezel but my AD got this one in and since any Rolex is so hard to come by nowadays I settled for this one with the simple bezel. But I am am super happy that I did! I literally love the watch so classy and simple and that jubilee bracelet gives it that wow factor! Upon seeing your video and another gentleman’s I have been super careful like yourself when wearing the watch because I can also see how easy it is to get scratched up. Thanks again for your review! Stay blessed!
I learned something valuable since this review. I spoke with an official Rolex service center about a replacement smooth bezel and the cost is only $150. That made me much more comfortable wearing it everyday. Congrats on the new watch! I’m thinking about getting the same one but two tone now.
Oh wow that’s great news about the smooth bezel! You know the fluted one is 2k and made of gold. That 2 tone sounds great. I’m also looking at possibility of the new green date just. (With the Rolex green) Let see what happens they are all so very difficult to get now. Patience is the key !
I actually went to an AD yesterday and they had this same exact configuration which is the one I wanted as well. I think the fluted bezel is too flashy for me and it’s more common. You don’t see many Datejusts with the jubilee bracelet and smooth bezel very often. It’s a classic look.
The exact configuration I want! I totally agree that the fluted bezel in addition to the Jubilee bracelet is just a bit over the top at least for me and for an every day watch. To me it was either smooth bezel with Jubilee bracelet or fluted bezel with oyster bracelet. And at the end of the day, I strongly prefer a Jubilee on this watch. in fact, I think having the fluted bezel can detract from the beauty of the Jubilee bracelet.
You know these were more accessible when you purchased yours. Funny thing happened after 6 months visiting multiple AD’s I got a call from one I put my name on and ultimately got it with the fluted bezel. I have 7 1/2 inch wrists and it needed no adjustment. The Jubilee is so comfortable. Like you, I was hesitant with the fluted being too blingy. But with everyday wear it’s more understated. Thanks again for the review, watched it multiple times and it was very helpful.
Love it. Just bought the similar 36mm version, white dial, smooth bezel with Romans as I already have the OP Silver dial with luminous sticks. It’s in the post today and can’t wait! Great review.
Blingy is good-I have that watch with blue dial and fluted bezel(my dress watch). Datejust is underrated and you can configure the watch to be dressy or sporty! Definitely a keeper in anyone’s collection. Best regards
nice point about the too much flash - what datejust would u get with rhodium dial? the oyster + fluted looks cool but i really want jubilee, are u still happy with this config?
Thank you for the comment. Yes, I'm still very very happy with the config. I would go with smooth bezel for the rhodium dial. I'm just such a big fan of that smooth bezel. I can see though for some the appeal of the fluted. It's a more classic/icon look and definitely grabs peoples attention.
The steel in a Rolex is proprietary, no one but them uses it. I was looking at the new OP time-only but the secondary market is insane, and this watch is catching my eye. Always wanted to add a white dial but legibility has been an issue as I often find myself in bright sunlight and very dark conditions daily. This one seems to avoid that. I actually prefer it on the Oyster bracelet as it gets it closer to that sport/dress look I want. A perfect complement to my Omega Speedmaster and Seamaster. Getting harder to find at an AD, but luckily the after-market is still "reasonable".
I wouldn’t use the word clinical to describe it. Personally I would use “sharp”. I can see how it might appear that way but the jubilee bracelet and white gold hands / hour markers really give this watch some good character. Thank you for watching and I hope this helps!
@@wristadvisor867 - I am _this_ close to buying it (‘arranging its purchase’, I should say); I just missed out on the graphite-grey one, but this was always a close second, and in some small ways preferable.
The crown vs. 30 at the 6 o'clock does not indicate a different movement. All DJ41's come with the 3235 movement, but earlier production models had the 30 at the 6 o'clock.
@Daytona 6263 Sir, merely a truism. Similarly …protectors make your 20 year old watch unique to you and even more special… as well as add 30% to the value. And it always looks great.
@Daytona 6263 Look at prices. You’re actually saying here that, other things being equal, the condition of a watch doesn’t affect its value. Nonsense - it’s EVERYTHING ! Get real. PS. You go ahead and scratch your watch to pieces. Take zero pride in them. Make it your own. The more battered old watches out there, the more valuable my collection. So off you go, scratch it up … bye bye now.
@@whereRbearsTeeth Its a dress watch. It's not a sport watch. They're for different occasions. The oyster bracelet is great, don't get me wrong...but it looks stupid in a suit.
This and submariner are and will remain the icons for Rolex even in the next 20 years.
This is 'The Watch' for me. I've just bought the same one last week and I love it. Thanks for the video and all the info!
Congratulations! How have you liked it so far? I love mine!
@@wristadvisor867 It's perfect, I enjoy it a lot. So far so good!

And the white dial with this configuration is just so clean! Attire wise it goes with absolutely everything and works great with any strap as well.

I am getting a DateJust with fluted bezel, white dial, and oyster bracelet. I currently have your watch but with a blue dial. Nice timepiece you have.
Perfect watch .. own black with smooth bezel and white fluted both on jubilee . Always a welcome change from a tool watch ..
Good for you! They are amazing watches!
Even the datejust is hard to buy now? What do they have at the dealerships then? Cellinis?
Always wanted the datejust 41 in blue or slate with with fluted bezel and jubilee bracelet, went in to the AD saw this on the window and bought it
Enjoy it! Congrats!

Nice video. Good information. Small suggestion. Lume shots at the end would be good.
great combo!
Cool review, just subbed! I've now put my name down for a DJ41, white roman, smooth bezel, jubilee 😁
Thanks for the sub!
Jubile give a look very elegant, like it..
Fantastic watch. Absolutely stunning! Wear it in good health!

I have the 36mm dj with fluted bezel. Chose the fluted bezel cos it hide those scratches better than the smooth bezel.
Retail now just hit 10k

Great review
Beautiful
Do you think the stark white dial comes across as a little bit ‘clinical’? Giving serious thought to this one but . . . not convinced of it yet.

Smooth bezel is so much better. Fluted bezel it just screams “look at me, I wear a Rolex!” Not my style 😂
what a beauty
Do you still own this watch?
Not this reference anymore. I now have the 126333 (two tone with fluted bezel)
I’m doing a review on it soon so stay tuned!

Available in Doha please inform me really I like
Why do you keep shaking it around ? Hold it still so we can see the damn thing !
Wear invisible watch protectors. Then you don’t have to worry at all - and you’ll never have to polish it.
And than you put plastic on your sofa😂

@Daytona 6263 you’re making it up now.
Bye bye keyboard warrior. You probably don’t even own a decent watch.
What is an ‘invisible watch protector’?
This watch looks so much better on the oyster bracelet. Jubilee just looks so dated in my opinion
I agree. I don’t know why but a ‘jubilee’ bracelet gives a watch an oddly ‘grandfather’ vibe in my eyes . . .
Jubilee hides scratches FAR better and is hands down the most comfortable.
@@briansmith8390 maybe so, but it still makes it look like grandpa’s watch
