- First of all, I owe a HUGE Thanks to Benji at Treatland for going out of his way to help me out with this.
Video covers Installing the Treats "puch 70cc 45mm reed valve kit especiale",

Puch Polini Reed,

And a Mikuni VM 20mm Round Slide Carb.

I set my ring gap at just a slight drag on a 0.007" feeler gauge for the upper ring and slight drag on 0.009" for the lower.
I chamfered my ports a little with a dremel to prevent the rings catching, but no case matching.
Here are the Moped Army pages that I used -

Last part shows attaching exhaust studs and Kickstand with spring and finally mounting the Engine in the Frame. - Навчання та стиль
I'll be watching this regularly as I rebuild my ZA50 top end. Exceptional video.
Nice job, I think what I love the most is you work so clean.
can´t wait to se it run! Great videos!
i like how carefull you are about everything its insane! lol. when i work on cars i dont wear gloves when using brake clean or nothin and i do this as a profession.
Well done. Thank you.
great video, i've enjoyed every minute of it, such precision and gentle touch to the parts. i'm impressed :) really really good work :)
Thanks!
Puch ASMR
I have a tomos a55 lx.
Question what were u filing the listing gaskets for?
Do the carbon fiber reeds actually help that much?
Is porting basically dremil tooling the engine manifold exit hole so the ID of the air intake matches the the OD of the top of the exit hole?
Does the hole affect anything else other than airflow?
This is a real theatre!!! Impressive and great by one word. Have you ever thought to do it with SS50? looks almost the same (Monza tank, frame, wheels) but 4 stroke. That's I wanna know if you took Magnum as some historic link or availability. Anyway fantastic job at all nitty gritty details.
I'll probably have it running within a day or two, but wont be finished for a while as I dont have much time to work on it.
I had hoped to have it finished well before the end of summer... but that obviously isn't going to happen.
I order all the exact parts you used for your set up. I bought the same carb as well. Can you please tell me what exact jets, needle sizes you used on your carb? I would like to know so I can tune the carb since I have never used or tuned a Mikuni
I know it’s an old video... but I tip my hat to you, great detail. Can I ask what the blue stuff is in the syringe?
It's just 2 stroke oil, using it as assembly oil.
Did you ever find out if you had any air leaks? With that kit, carb, and exhuast I would think you would be around a 160 main and a 22.5-25 idle.
Nice Carbu
So noob question here...But What's the blue stuff in the syringe you're lubing it up with? 2 stroke oil?
How big is too big for the ring gap? I've got a 70cc Polini kit and both the rings came stock at 14. Thanks. Your attention to detail is extremely refreshing btw!
Frank Jackson The ring gap page on Moped Army I used (link is in video description) says that it depends who you ask - no hard and fast rules there. I'd probably just go ahead and install them. Perhaps send Benji/Treats a message through their website and double check. They reply very promptly.
They used to reckon 4 thou, (0.1mm) per inch of bore for aircooled engines 38 mm = 1.5" so maybe 6 thou or 0.15mm which I guess is the 14 mentioned above.....
Now that is a lesson. Worth an A+
Yeah its just 2 stroke Oil (the same non synthetic I'll be using in the first tank of gas during break in).
Which head did you use for this kit? Low, Hi, or Hi Hi compression?...and how did the squish band turn out?
I used the Hi Hi head. I ended up just checking to make sure the squish was sufficient so there wouldn't be any contact of the piston when I put it on the motor. I didn't adjust it at all (because I forgot) and that was with the stock gaskets so its probably a little too large.
What are you doing with the metal strips and sandpaper
If its the part I think you mean, I'm setting the ring gap on the piston rings - They expand when the engine runs and can end up touching if the gap is too narrow when cold.
The sand paper is to make the gap a bit larger, the metal strip is just a backing so I dont round off the end I'm sanding.
If thats not it - let me know the time in the video for the bit your interested in.
Buen video, que tipo o modelo de cilindro es ese, o como o donde puedo buscarlo o conseguirlo
Do you need to chamfer the ports on the non reed valve version of this kit? Thanks
RSK RC All 2 stroke cylinders should be checked and chamfered if it hasn't been done already (probably wont be). It will reduce the chance of a ring being caught on the ports.
When do you think you will get it running? I have the same ped with 372 miles...
What ist this for a Oil ?
building this on a tomos a35 should I still shave the rings like u did in the video? should i do them to the same sizes u used
There are standard ring gaps depending on the bore of the cylinder. You can get that information at www.mopedarmy.com/wiki/Ring_gap
What did you torque the head nuts at? in foot pounds.
7 foot lb
Incase you needed it, theres a service manual available at projectmopedmanual.info/Manual_HTML/puch.html
And www.mopedarmy.com/wiki has a bunch of information too.
I used both sites when rebuilding my e50, as I had never owned one before I got the Magnum.
What are the liquids that he is dipping the cylinder into at 19:33 and the next one at 20:02 ?
Water lol
I'm looking for a bigger bore kit for my califfo 50cc 60to70 kit does anyone make them ?
does this kit still use the oil injection system?
I don't think it add's enough oil to keep the correct ratio when used with any of the larger cylinders, they use more gasoline - but the oil injection still add's the same amount of oil. The general advice I've seen suggests your better off premixing oil/gas rather than using the injection even with stock engines as if the system fails its bad.
do you know what ratio this runs like gas mixed with oil?
50:1
on 5 liters gas 1 dl of oil
but i would rate you more oil the more ccm you have
please, one video of embreage of hero pucho 65 c.c
do i need to set a gap on the rings ?
When installing new rings they should be checked and adjusted if necessary. If the gap is too small when they expand due to engine temperature they could get forced into the piston ports.
if i pre mix what ratio should i run i just got this kit
50:1
What carb are yo using?
Its a Mikuni VM 20mm Round Slide, theres a link in the description to that and the other parts shown.
hp does this kip produse and can i still run the 180 jet
I don't know what the HP is. You'll probably need to change your jetting. Is that a 180 main on a VM-26 carb or something else?
how much hp
Envia uma camisa dessa pra mim no Brasil????
LE ANDA AL JUKI 50 ESE QUIT
My hero puch motorcycle wirring will be damage so upoled the video of wirring
How can i contact you? E mail, facebook can you give me something?
You can send direct message through UA-cam or google+ n1bpd
did you get my message?
Just got onto the computer, I'll check now and reply.
