We threw together the complete engine build for the puch maxi! Ported the polini cylinder, tossed some bearings and a crank in & slapped the cases together. Shes almost ready to fire up!

That hole from the exhaustport to the cylinder deck is for a decompression valve in the head, but its also great for an exhaust temperature probe.

I did the same thing with my tomos i also have a big intake that goes sideways with a polini membrane i just drilled 2 little holes where the screws sit deep enough to sit flush

Golden rule: Never use sealant on head gaskets! Reface head, & crank case. Use a new gasket lightly oiled. I like the porting, it's all about breathing. You will get about 20% more power if right.

Used to rock the polini the best upgrade you can do to it is get the better reeds I think 4 paddle. The oem reeds on it aren’t the best.

Nice build. Did you balance the crank? My son and I took a cheap kit and cut the crank case out and made an intake manifold to mount on it. It’s a beast pulling into the case.

i would have shaved the screws and put lock tight on them for that piece that went into the block instead of creating notches for them

the little hole in the cillinder is for decompresor. old way to turn of the bike.the normale head has valve when open u have no compresion.sry bad eng
