I think this is a good guide for folks who don't suffer from an irrational fear of Asbestos? Back in the 70s that was a major ingredient in clutch and brake linings!
I always wanted to try thick cow hide as friction material. A buddy of mine has had great success with leather in his Tomos A35, very curious to see it used on an e50 clutch.
Sir your video is so much more to the point (and less annoying) than 99% of Puch-repair videos on UA-cam. Pls make more for the sake of humanity to bring humans together thru the love of Puch minus the frustration of overly confident/flamboyant hipsters with cracking voices giving you tube little or no info just trying to show off their vintage equipment. I’ve literally heard people say “I don’t really know how to do this my friend did it” THEN WHY TF ARE YOU MAKING A VIDEO LABELED HOW TO FIX “so and so”. Sorry I’m traumatized. Great vid!
also if you do this make sure the weigt of the bads is exactley the same or the crank shaft and the clutch is unstable in low rpm this is unsafe for the engine and the pads do not grab at the same time
wow he uses a dust mask for safetey. and holds the brake pad on the table and an anglegrinder to cut next to his fingers not even a cuarter of an inch away!!
this reminds me how they used to refurb clutches in the 70"s.
awsome vid,.
Thanks 👍

It failed after about 200 miles, the epoxy was the weak point
