That video of the sierra 3 and 28, i have a video of that exact same pass at the same crossing, we were literally standing next to each other. Thats kinda cool.

The Wilmington and Western used to have Pufferbilly Day specifically for doubleheaders. Unfortunately, this was not possible since 2013 as 58 was put down for its 1472 inspection. 98 then was forced to have its turn in 2016, and 58 came back the following year. Hopefully, this will be once again possible within the next two years.
These steam trains are wonderful! My favorites are the shays, The Wilmington & Western, Leviathan #63 and especially the Valley Railroad. Engines #97 and #40.
The 425 and 113 doubleheaded for the 2013 and 2014 Santa Trips out of Minersville, PA. The Cass shots at the end had five locomotives together, with Climax 9 leading Shays 4, 5, 2, and 11.
Little River 110? That's a 4-6-2, the smallest standard gauge 4-6-2, actually. Quite small and light. Though those little tank engines are much more powerful than you would think.
Where did you get the footage from little river 1 Leigh valley coal 126, Flagg coal 75, and little river 110 quintiple header at the beginning of the video
I'm hoping to see and ride behind a doubleheader myself someday since my uncle has gotten to twice already. First time at Durango and silverton in 2018 and his second one in September 2019 when he attended the Grand Canyon railway doubleheader
The track running off the "camera" end of the level crossing is VERY badly dipped... (Some lifting & packing by the track gang is clearly required.) Otherwise some fantastic footage!
My favorites were the Connecticut Valley, The Nevada Northern, and the one that had the 2-Foot Gauge Locomotives! It was also cool to watch the Virginia and Truckee train to climb up the hill! Super great job, man!
I like the trumpeting of the train. Also I like the steam y train .It is suppose not contaminate .Only the first traines were contaminated the inviromnent. But I wonder why black smoke although it has white smoke that is suppose to be steam .I also like the sound of the machine. The only thing that I like most about the oldest train is the sound of the machine and the whistle.👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍
This is my all time favorite video. Oh I loved every train, but I think my favorite is the Shays. You did a fantastic amazing job putting this all together. Thank you for your time and for sharing. Thanks to all that contributed. ❣️
my fav doubleheaders from the vid was the ones of C&T, Sierra 3 & 28, 425 & 113, W&W 98 & 58, NN40 & 93, GCR 29 & 4960 (my uncle was lucky enough to be on that run in 2019), 89 & 475, 475 as 382 with 611, 630 & 4501, 4014 & 844, and last but not least the strasburg triple header with 89 leading and 475 & 90 behind. Someday I'm hoping to ride behind a doubleheader myself and I'm hoping to ride behind in the coming future
@@DynamoProductions-trains thx, hoping to see one myself someday since my uncle has already ridden behind one twice, 1 at D&S in 2018 and then the one at the GCR in 2019
Sounds similar, just the small improvements made for the Climax locomotive, I don't know what adjustments they've made, all I know is they improved something.
@@BME844yeah it does sound noticeably better than 190’s the adjustments probably has something to do with it and 190 sounds like it always has either water in the whistle or too much steam pressure

why does CNJ 113 not have boiler jacketting or insulation? it looks like it just has its bare boiler exposed
This was when the 113 was still getting adjustments to run solo. By 2015, the insulation and boiler jacket was installed.
