If anyone is looking for a dupe for that Tarte brush Lizzy uses, Targets brand "Up & Up" has one thats called the bronzer brush and I love it for applying powder foundation. Its nice, full, and dense and almost exactly like the Tarte but for only $8! You can find those brushes normally next to where nail files, tweezers, lash curlers area! (:

There made in China too, so just wait for Mac sales and Macys has Mac sales also, just stock up then. It very chalky too, you can tell it spread on her face like clown makeup, my friend bought this and it does not compare to MAC.

You are one of the only guru doing makeup for Italian, Hispanic, and Darker than lily white skin tones. I was hoping Covergirl or some other makeup company would use Olive skinned girls to show that range! I hear Eve Mendez's Circa Line at Walgreens has some nice shades for darker skin tones!

Rimmel also has a really great powder finish that may be similar to Mac. It wears really well and is great for those of us with larger pores and oily skin.

Love the BH Cosmetics line. Good products/price point is right on. I have the 230 and 235 in the face powder and they both work for me.
The foundations are good too (I am in Medium rose which is a very very good match), but I say they are light coverage that can be built up to medium coverage and setting spray is a must!
Scotch/desk/clear tape can get the funky film off your powder!! I like to take a strip long enough to tape both ends to my index finger and my thumb (like 3"?) and using a thumb-finger sliding motion to control the surface area that touches the compact and gets picked up by the tape
I like getting full use out of my $27 powder, hehe

I have used at least 10 different foundations from drugstore to high end eg Chanel. And I always resort back to bh foundation. It's crazy how natural and close to my skin it is. I'm definitely gonna give their powder a try :)

I actually bought THREE of these powders based off your recommendation from a previous video they are AWESOME great coverage the ONLY thing I HATE about these powders is that they have CRAZY fall out when you put your brush in them for application literally my sink is COVERED but for the price and coverage I deal with it
I dont push my brush in hard I slide it in to help minimize it :)

I just received my order today and i got shade #235 i like the way it feels on my skin very soft. It covers nicely the only thing is that there was a lot of excess loose powder every time i apply! But over pretty good! Thanks so much cheaper then mac!

You can use a piece of scotch tape to get rid of that yucky layer on your studio fix. Mine had that too!
It may be a big difference in price , however sometimes paying higher prices the products last longer vs cheaper so in return better quality is cheaper in the long run

I would opt between 230-235 I am naturally a NC40-42 also... 235 if you are more golden and 230 if you are more beige
I'm MAC NC45/NW43 and use 240 .... 250 is best for me during summer. In MAC I wear Medium-Deep or Dark in the Skinfinish Natural.

I always go back to mineral foundations! I don't know why but liquid foundation doe snot work for my skin! I am oily combo.. I've tried EVERYTHING. You name it I've tried it... I always end up going back to Tarte Amazonian Clay airbrush mineral foundation... its the only thing that works for my weird skin! I strongly suggest! It also looks soooo natural but still covers blemishes and uneven skin! I love it. I do conceal blemishes first tho with a concealer. If you are having trouble with not being able to find a liquid foundation that works with your skin.. I strongly recommend this one! I know its pricy! Its $43 here in Canada.. which is pricy.. but it lasts long and it is sooooo worth it!
Tina L Have you tried the ex1 foundation? I adore it! I have super oily skin too and Tarte is so so for me. I still break through with shine and when I do my pores are super emphasized. I live in Florida so it is crazy hot and humid here.

Awesome thanks! Almost ordered my Mac powder last night with the free overnight shipping right now but I'm glad I didn't! How's that lasting power on that powder? Patchy or oily? I wear my makeup about 12+ hours so if I can make it close enough to that with minimal touch ups then it's da bomb lol. Love your reviews!

Great video and demo of this powder. I have been testing it out also. I'm also in love with the Black Radiance Soft Focus powders. You should try them they are less than $8.00 in Walmart. They have a Golden almond color you may like. So velvety!
what would you recommend for nw45/revloncappuccino skin tone?
+ThePrettyNikkii The soft focus powder only has 3 colors. But Black Radiance has another line of powders in every color you can imagine. They are so inexpensive you can try a few and not spend to much. At most drug stores you can return items you don't like even if you opened it.

It goes to 255 which is pretty dark hun ... but imo they could use a 260 and 265.
Just got 240 and 250 in the mail .. 240 is best for me now but in the summer 250 will be better for me.
Girl I am a NW45 , and I bought 250 and it blends into my skin flawlessly !! from youthumbnail photo you prob would be a 250 like me ... I like the idea of using a lighter powder under the eyes WhatWouldLizzyDo !!! Now I want to buy 235 to do so... Love the eye makeup here !

I bought this because of you. Hahaha.. And I love it. I don't think it's a dupe for MAC studio fix though. Studio fix is a powder foundation and has almost full coverage. This one feels lighter to me so I think it's better as a setting powder. But I still love it. I don't like the heaviness and cakeyness of studio fix which is why I prefer this.

Well I'm shocked bH cosmetics doesn't carry shades for darker skin tones like myself. I'm totally feeling some type of way but thanks for sharing though. Great video. :-)
They do .... their foundations go very dark (up to D6/Deep Espresso) and the powder goes sorta deep but not dark enough since there are a lot of much darker ladies left out. Currently 255 is the darkest their powder goes ... I think if you're darker than nw50 or pushing nc55 then BH's powder in 255 won't work at all.

I just picked 2 of them up for $5.90 a piece a few days ago and received them today and they are so Finley miled. OMG! Way softer MAC's Studio fix powder. I used to rock their shit for the first 5 Years of my mua life, but stopped when my skin started changing and that heaviness wasn't agreeing with my skin. But this powder has got interest so peaked. I hope all is well, cause for this price if it performs, girl u will have saved me many $'s.

does this hold up well on your oily skin? I have such an oily t-zone and I love powder foundation type products, but they always end up looking gross, separating and moving around by the end of the day. if this lasts i'll have to check it out !

Omg, I've seen these last order I placed and was curious but didn't go for it because I was unhappy with their liquid foundation; I love their brushes & lip products though! Oh and their brow powder is awesome too! =D btw... great highlighting tip, it wouldn't have occured to me to do this with powders!
