I've been using this for years. I stopped for awhile but I went back to it! The main reason I like it is because it is so easy to slap this stuff on and be out the door in minutes lol
I use this powder regularly. I have tried going back to liquids since I started using this and just cannot. I’m 64 years old and love this stuff! I actually spritz it with just water to set it.
I bought some today and I’m so excited to use it and will definitely let you know. I’m 58 years old so I do not like anything that feels ca key & settling in my fine lines.. looks terrible!
Love your review and commentary. This is an OG product and brands I used to use this in High school. I always loved it and I took a break from it for yeeears. I ended up buying it again. Thank you for the reminder to prep & set. It’s still as solid as it was when I used in the past. It’s the best powder foundation that fills in my big pores. Will be buying from now on. The makeup industry is over saturated with too many bad and EXPENSIVE products.
My very first foundation was Mac pressed powder foundation... For YYYYYEARS! And about a year ago I decided to purchase it again after not wearing it for like 10 years. I didn’t like it, I felt like it looked gray and too powdered on me. Now I only wear liquid foundation... Mac, Too Faced, Maybelline, Fenty, Hourglass, Armani and so on. I love that you always talk about Mac!!!! Mac is my favorite!!! Especially their MSF. I have 4 different shades! ☺️
I love your reviews of 'OG' brands. Something about looking at things that were on my radar 10 years ago when it was all so new to me. Nostalgia? Idk. I was actually thinking about picking up this powder soon too.
Just bought this two days ago. I live in TX and it's SO dang hot + pregnant I have given up on liquid foundations. It covers my redness so well and I 1000% agree with prepping your skin. I have oily skin but I make sure I am moisturized no matter what.
Great review Genevieve! You are making me want to start using Studio Fix Powder Foundation again. I used it from 99 until about 08. Once I got well into my 20s my skin, transitioned from oily to dry. At that point I slowly started stepping away from powder foundation. I didn’t cause me any issues but I really started to fall in love with tinted moisturizer. Since then, I only use a tinted moisturizer and sometimes a pressed setting powder. I don’t really need full coverage unless I’m doing a full beat. However, I often think that maybe I should give studio fix another try since it’s been over a decade since I last used it. Mac is and always has been the truth when it comes to dark skin. There are very few brands that actually match me (about Kelly Rowland’s complexion). Also, I am one of those people that hates the powdery look. I always set my make up with either Caudalie Beauty Elixir or The Body Shop’s vitamin C energizing spritz. Using those sprays gives me that healthy radiant glow.
Hmmmm. I used to wear this powder over 25yrs who. It was too heavy and transferred a lot. I wonder if I should consider it again. I switched to the CoverFX pressed mineral powder because I heard it was created by someone that used to work for MAC. I’m guessing it’s the same thing, but not sure.
I went to tjmaxx and found Mac studio fix powder in my exact shade last one left for 12.99 I snatched it up so quickly. It saved me money because I know they are 33.00 retail.
I agree been using this on and off for 20 years nothing compares and I always go back after trying every drugstore foundation to chanel to dior....always return to this
Thank Genevieve so much for this review and demo. I love all your reviews and recommendations. I really like how you show how much you like product by recommending it again and again, it’s a true testament
For some reason I always go back to Mac studio fix, I tried to make up forever ......it's very .......well what you pay for its like CoverGirl. For some reason Mac studio fix has a finish that's very beautiful in my opinion and it's very hard to achieve with other powders. Every time I wear it I in a very minimal amount, I always get compliments in my skin.
Hi! I purchased the Mac Studio Fix powder plus foundation. Good stuff! Yes. Skincare is a must, but it IS "easy" as you've recommended. I'm in C7 for summer and need to get C6 for winter. I currently use C7 as a bronzer. Thanks for sharing.
Thanks my color I love the studio fix plus foundation . I put mine on with cotton rounds . I love it Alone over my sunscreen moisturizer it covers alone I don't put foundation under it . supper fast I don't even need a mirror to apply thanks for sharing . 💕💕💕👍
Thank you for this video!! I’m online now to try and find the right shade for my under eyes to set my concealer. By the way, I just subbed to your channel. Wonderful video’s. 🤍
This and the studio flix fluid foundation make me sweat every time I wear it :(. Not sure why...maybe something in the ingredients clogs my skin. Your makeup looks wonderful....loving the blush (reminds me of springtime). I currently use either black opal ultra matte powder or the coverfx mineral foundation (has 40 shades not bad either). I love reviews on OG brands because I can revisit and fall in love again with it.
damicoco1 you should try to put a gel moisturizer on first like Clinique, then I use makeup forever matte primer with this foundation and you’ll fall in love! I used to be very oily too before I started using that moisturizer with it
@@damicoco1 U can get it online unless U need to get shade matched. I love the strobe cream as well, with under it. It has wonderful skin care properties.
I have never used powder foundation but you have me willing to try this, I have only used MAC Face and body foundation, you made a good point in regards to Summertime using a powder would be a good option
New sub here! Great video! I've been using Bareminerals golden tan matte for years. I want to try the MAC powder foundation, but I have no idea which shade to get.
I have been using Bareminerals matte for about 7 years now as well (shade Golden Medium 14) Today, I went into Mac and they matched me perfectly! Take in your Golden Tan Bareminerals as well and you can compare. The reason I’ve stayed with BM for so long is because the color match is perfect for me. However, I think I may have found the exact same shade in Mac and you get way more product for the price! Wish me luck!
I think we should just accept that some foundations aren’t meant for certain skin types. I’ve tried this on my dry skin, I’ve prepped very well (exfoliation+hydrating toner+moisturiser) and this looks terrible on me no matter how much I blend and try to make it look good.
Went back to Mac because of this post and I’m in love again with Studio Fix ! Thank You!
Been using it for nearly 20 years. It's my tried and true everyday foundation. I absolutely love it.
i just trust her. she has those trustworthy vibes; i love it. subscribed
Right... love her vibe and love that she’s not pushing “the next big thing”

I feel the same way I tried so many pressed powders and I can't find one that really compares to Mac studio fix. I always go back to it. 🤷🏻♀️🙏
I love MAC powder foundation too!! I switch between it and black opal. It’s really good too!
This blush you’re wearing is GORGEOUS!!! I’ve been looking for an orange blush, would you recommend this one?
Been using it for over 30 years. You’re right, it’s the very best powder foundation out there.
I love your application. Polished, soft and fresh. I'm listening 📝
Can't wait to shop MAC when I can see the shades in person. Going back to my first makeup brand!

Thanks for the review. It doesn't break you out? I've always been afraid to try MAC foundation products because my skin is very sensitive.

If I had to, I could replace anything in my makeup bag *except* for this. It’s untouchable.
