The timing of this video is perfect! Mask wearing is what got me in to powder foundations too. It wears better and is easier to touch up when you take the mask off. I haven’t worn it in years and now it’s what I wear every day.
Me too!! With my dry skin and love of glowy finishes I never thought I would use them. But some days im in a mask at work for 9 hours. Nothing worse than liquid all over the inside!
I work in healthcare and have to wear a mask everyday, after I started breaking out I pulled out my old faithful bare minerals to help clear it up but just like you, once you wear powder under the mask, you want to wear it every day because it feels so much better. I have bought a few others but haven’t found the perfect pressed powder foundation yet. Thank you!
I love my Lancome compact foundation powder. The best match color for me I have ever used is 230 ECRU (w). I prefer medium coverage, looking like skin.
Mac Studio Fix Powder is one of my favorites. I have it in 3 shades and use one for bronzer and the other two for a little definition on my face rather than making my face 1 flat color with no variation in tone. Normally , sans makeup, our skin isn't exactly the same on every inch of the face.☺
I have never used powder foundation before and I picked the chantecialle up on a whim. I thought it was the most beautiful thing ever so it was fun to see it at the top of your list! Thanks for the review
Thanks for the Makeup Tips. Im 55 and have Never liked liquid Make-up so its nice to see the over review of these top Powder Foundations. I'm currently using the Loreal 24 hr and find it similar to the estee lauder and Lancome powder foundation at half the Price.
Thank you for this thorough review of powder foundations. I recommend trying Mac and MUFE powder foundations - both good for my dry/normal mature skin. Happy New Year!
I have gone back to using my Bare Minerals original powder foundation since we have had to wear a mask all day at work. It comes off a little bit but not much. I do set it with Urban Decay All Nighter setting spray. I have always used it with all of my foundations. I find that I wear my foundation for about 12 hours and it still looks good. I love the BK beauty brushes. I know the 105 is supposed to be used for powder foundation but I like using for my mineral veil not foundation. I use the 101 for my foundation and it works better than any other brush I have.
I liked the lighting in this video. I could really see your skin and makeup. I also liked how close you were in the demo. Great video, very informative.
I have dry mature skin and as a nurse wear a mask all day. I have worn nothing but powder foundation since COVID and my go to is Jcat Aquasurance for the better coverage on my cheeks (redness) and then I follow with IT cosmetics Illumination powder foundation for a glow. I also have the Fenty beauty powder and the Lancôme powder and neither have coverage or staying powder that the first 2 I mentioned do. Great review!
powder foundation is my thing. It's so easy and light weight. When i first discovered how to apply it correctly, I never went back to liquids. I like mac studio fix.
Loved and appreciated this so much! I’m 50, but still prefer powder foundation. Currently using Mineral Fusion. It’s pretty good, but very light coverage, so am excited to try one of the ones you mentioned.
Yep. I am 55 and only wear powders. A little spritz of rosewater is magic. I do an oil massage cleanse about once a month; and a raw honey mask now and then and both of these things keep my skin pretty smooth. Also use a face balm that is a great base. And good brushes matter.
Thank you for this video. Powder foundation is the only foundation that I can wear in the heat of the summer when it is 90+ degrees. Regular foundations simply melt off my face. I have dry skin in the winter. If I prep my skin, I can use some powder mineral foundations. I just have to be careful that I don’t aggressively buff the foundation into my skin. I just have to lightly buff and take my time. I use a hydrating setting spray after, also.
Thank you, Mandy, for saving our skins! I always break out whenever I wear a mask for more than 30 seconds! A few things I have tried which seems to help a little bit but not entirely are: 1. Immediately after removing the mask, dabbing (not wiping) the covered areas of my face with the anti-bacterial wipes that I use to clean my hands instead of gels. I use the wipes on my face first, then my hands; 2. Rinsing my mouth after AM brushing with a diluted rinse of hydrogen peroxide to cut down on whatever germs/bacteria we all have in our mouths naturally, since I inevitably end up mouth breathing under masks, ugh. These things have helped a little bit, but I think powder foundations are the way to go!!!
I have dry skin, used to have oily skin before acne treatment, and I’ve only used powder foundation for years. I get wayyy better coverage that lasts all day compared to liquid. I use the Mac studio fix powder foundation which you can build up if need be. I put on moisturizer, spot conceal with liquid concealer, then use a thin fluffy powder brush to gently pat on the powder. I don’t buff. I lightly just pack it onto my skin and the fluffy brush gives me the option to start off with light coverage. If I need more coverage, sometimes I use a powder puff so I don’t disturb any dry patches. As my skin gets oilier during the day, it just looks better. I don’t know why powder foundation isn’t more popular. It’s so easy and quick to use. It lasts all day. It doesn’t wipe off. It covers acne great. You can layer products over it. I never feel like my makeup looks heavy. Most days it doesn’t even look like I have anything on my skin.
I too am looking for a powder foundation for same reasons. Your video came in my suggested. You're a little older, but let me tell you when I saw you without your makeup for the demo! WOW you look like that without makeup? Beautiful! ♥️
Happy New Year Mandy ! Thank you for being a bright light in my time last year. Self care is so important and your skilled and artistic information has been a joy! Wishing you and your beautiful community of Nashville blessings in 2021!
Thank you for providing this information! It is really helpful! I had worn Bare Minerals, back when it was still Bare Escentuals for probably 10-15 years and decided to use Estee Lauder's Double Wear for a while. I don' t really like using liquid or creams because to me it seems messy to me. I am anxious to try the Inika or Almina Pure next! I am a recent subscriber and enjoy your videos! BTW, you have such an beautiful complexion you don't even need foundation imo! 🙂
I tried the Inika loose powder because of you, and i loveeeee it. So much better than bareminerals. It loooks so beautiful and skin like. Not drying, u can layer it and it wears nicely! I love it
I’ve been wanting a good powder foundation but there are so many on the market the IT Illumination one I liked but couldn’t find the right color. I’m going to try your pick for #2, because they probably have a better color range. Thank you for this video!
I love my it Foundation celebration illumination I've tried a few others and I always come back to this one so thanks all of the information you gave us very informative. It looks like the L'Oreal infallible is out of stock so I would like to try that one as a very much affordable option. Your skin is beautiful without Foundation you are very blessed thanks again for all of the information work that went into this video
This information is just what I have been looking for and what a great job! Thank you Mandy! The video includes thorough information and I think I have a few contenders for my choices in powder foundations. Again, thank you for your hard work. Happy New Year!
I don’t wear powder foundation all the time, but I like to have one in my collection when I’m in a rush or need extra coverage. I currently have Osmosis in Natural Light, and I like it but don’t love it. I think I might try the Inika baked powder compact next. In fact I think I’ll try a few things from Inika on your recommendation. I can’t believe I’ve slept on this Australian brand that is right on my doorstep. The Chantecaille product sounds lovely but it’s $115 AUD. Inika is $65 and the Urban Decay is $60. Thanks for doing all the research. You’ll have a lot of powder foundations on rotation for a while. 🥰 Happy new year 💗
Thank you!!! I bought the Estée Lauder powder foundation - cakes and makes my face shiny. I’m rushing out tomorrow to try the l’Oreal and Chantecaille! 🤞
(1)Thanks for all of the great info! I’ve tried the Jane Iredale loose powder foundation, with minimal success. No coverage. I’ve tried the Glo Skin loose powder foundation, and I really have to work to achieve coverage with that one, too. I have very “ruddy” skin, so I like fuller coverage to hide my redness. My go to powder foundations are the IT Cosmetics Illumination, and the Bare Minerals Original loose. (Continued below)
(2 cont.)Those look the best on my dry skin, and I get fabulous coverage. The BM actually stays on me longer than the It one does. When I was in esthetics school, we had 12 hr days, and it stayed on all day, even when using a steamer for facials! I didn’t use a setting spray, either. I think it all depends on your skin type(mine is dry), your primer, and your brush. There is a learning curve for sure, but it’s worth the effort, I think. I’m going to try BK beauty’s large buffing brush (105) with my favs, to see how it works with them!
I do think overall the pressed versions of things last longer and have more coverage. I don't get as much wear time out of my bare minerals loose as I do my pressed versions, but I do my Inika loose. You are right...it's very dependent on a lot of factors, but once you get it down, they are so so good for long wear and a beautiful finish on the skin.
What a FABULOUS video Mandy! Thank you so much for taking the time to share all of this info with us. I am an oily gal with large pores. Its amazing how some powder foundations emphasize my pores, whereas others make them almost disappear! My favourite to date is honestly the Jane Iredale. But I am intrigued by the Chantecaille and have just placed my order. :)
Thank you for the effort - incredibly useful information. Rae Morris makes incredible make up brushes (very expensive though). They have been the best powder foundations I have ever used.
I use powder mineral foundation to avoid breakouts. I apply a little bit of almond oil on my face 30 minutes before applying my powder foundation...then I just spray set it after adding blush. Stays on all day and looks like I have no make-up...people complement me on having beautiful skin and needing no make up. 😅....I always correct them and tell them I am using mineral powder foundation.
So excited for this video since I use powder foundation almost daily. I switch between the Make Up Forever matte powder foundation & the Osmosis powder foundation on my oily skin. But maybe I’m using ones that aren’t even that great lol. Gonna look into the Urban Decay & Infallible ones. Thanks so much for doing this video!
Great segment! I used your code and ordered the Inika. Have you done a dedicated review on the foundation? I'd love to see application techniques using it. Great content. Looking beautiful. Thanks Mandy!
@@MandyDavisMUA I did buy the Inika in a few different shades (could not figure out my shade!-$$$!!!)-and, I bought the drugstore pick...Loreal Infallible! I've worn both a few times and based on what my skin is doing lately the Loreal is rocking it! Loving the Loreal!
Great video! I like a bit of a radiant look - not too much bling but I feel better with a bit of radiance. How can I add a bit of radiance to the Chantecialle powder foundation? A radiant primer?
Yesss thank you for this! As someone with dry skin, I have stayed away from powder foundations. I used to use them when I was in my early twenties when I had oily skin. I’d love to hear your thoughts about the Make Up For Ever Matte Velvet Skin Powder Foundation and also the new Fenty Pro Filt’r Powder foundation. I’ve heard those are good for dry skin too and I completely trust your judgement and recommendations!!
There are some great ones now for dry skin for sure. I will try the MUFE one soon. I need to see more reviews on the Fenty and make sure it isn't too matte. xoxo
So I have like a normal skin to dry ish and I have found aftering my skin care if I applied a face oil the MUFE powder is absolutely stunning. I said it with the Oprah setting spray and it looks so good. I originally got it because one of my other favorite UA-camrs likes to set her foundation with it so and I liked that and then one day I just decided I'm in a hurry I'll try this as a foundation and holy crap it was so fast so easy and so nice. But like I said I use the I you know take really good care of my skin I use hydrating stuff and you know that face oil but man did it look beautiful and then that over a setting spray adds back that gloominess
This is an excellent video, Mandy. Glad I found it while scrolling through videos for January. Powder foundation is a big part of my makeup, though I only own 3 brands. What surprised me was when you said you preferred wuite a few certain powders over other formulas. And I thought to myself what are all these makeup formulas that she's willing to cover with powder for a while, but now I understand a little better since you mentioned the tinted moisturizers. The only one I missed here was the Mac Studio Fix Powder Plus Foundation. That's one of my favorites. It comes in many shades and many undertones.
This is a fabulous video! I always wanted to try the Chantecaille powder foundation and now I have a reason. Thanks so much for all of your obvious hard work with this!!! 👏🙌👍
Thank you so much for this informative video! I'm so happy I found it because I've been on the hunt for a powder foundation and didn't know which to pick and this helped sooooo much!
Have you tried the J Cat Beauty Aquasurance powder foundation? I don't typically like powder foundation, but it's SO good! I am definitely going to try the infallible!
I just bought the IT cosmetics powder, have only used it over foundation but it gives instant coverage cant wait to use it as a foundation now. I have the Laura Geller balance n glow powder foundation hopefully its the same 🤞Whats good also is the Jcat aqua assurance powder foundation.
Thank you soo much for this video! I am definitely going to buy my shade in the Loreal. Just as a tip, i saw another youtuber use her favorite bronzer on her face and she said it actually wasn't a bronzer but a darker shade of a powder foundation, the brand was from the UK, and i couldn't find it on line, so i was at the store and i saw the loreal powder foundation so i grabbed one in a color way too dark for me and i tried as a bronzer and i love it! I just thought i was interesting. Sometimes bronzers can look muddy or dry on me, but this worked great. Just thought i would share!
Thanks Denise! I actually have a darker shade of the Jane Iredale powder foundation for bronzer and love it! I also like to use darker liquid foundations as cream bronzers. :)
Thank you thank you for this video. I've always liked powder foundation and wore Bare Minerals or Laura Geller for years. Moved to dry climate, got off hormones and with my dry skin powder foundations suddenly moved me into the crypt keeper category LOL I'm starting to dip my toes back into them because they are convenient and knock out steps and are great for travel for whenever we start traveling again. I like the Jane Iredale Pressed over Glossier Skin Tint. I have been eyeing the Chantecaille and convinced myself I don't need it but now I want it LOL I have the hardest time picking Chantecaille shades. I'm going back and forth between Peach and Bamboo. I'll go look for swatches. In the Future Skin the Vanilla is very orange on me and Alabaster is too light. I do like chantecaille products though. Thank you for this and you look gorgeous.
LOL...I totally get not needing anything. I have enough makeup for at least 50 people's lifetimes. I reached out to angelarogers on Instagram (she is a chantecaille rep) and she helped me out with shades if you want to do that. xoxo
Great video! This is the first of yours I've watched so sorry if this comment is something you've already tried, but I love Furless Cosmetics brushes from Australia! They're vegan, great quality (no shedding) and have some really nice options for powder, from fairly soft/loose bristles through to some of the densest brushes I've tried, and they're pretty affordable too! I'm not PR for them lol I just love the quality and variety. Big thumbs up!
Have you ever tried Clinique Almost Powder - non irritating, covers redness without cakiness - at least on my 62 yr old moisturized and sunscreened skin. Does not need setting spray.
I’ve never even considered wearing powder foundation and still was interested in watching this whole video. So informative and broad in its coverage of a wide variety of options! I rarely leave my house any more so I don’t have the mask challenge, but I will certainly consider one of these when the world seems safe to go out in (I’m in So Calif where things are very bad). I also love that your top 2 options included an affordable product. Well done!!
Mandy to the rescue! I’ve loved the Laura Geller for so many years!! Now I need to try your top two. I love powder foundation for quick get ready days. Thanks SO much for all these reviews!! Hugs!!
Thanks Mandy x you have inspired me to try powder foundation as I have similar skin although I am several years older so hopefully they will still work for me xx torn between Inika and Chantecaille🥰
I can't wait to hear what you think! If you like a more radiant look, I would go for the Inika. If you like a more natural matte, I would go with the Chatecaille. :)
I use the jane iredale golden glow the same way. I stipple it over liquid foundations or tinted moisturizers. Never use it alone. Almost use it like a setting powder...
Mandy, thanks for the great, extensive review. Have you tried Make Up Forever's new HD Skin powder or Shiseido's SS Custom Finish powder foundations since this review? I'm curious what your thoughts are, if you have.
You mentioned you were on tretinion... I’m having the same issue with super dry skin now and flaking. Never had issues with my skin, until now and I’m only using every other night. Could you do a video on tips for makeup, because it’s hard to make my foundation look “natural” when my skin is shedding. I need to find a happy medium and this stuff has wrecked my skin lately, but I know it will all pay off in the future. Thanks
I will add that to my list. I found an oil that completely prevents me from shedding! It's the Fit Glow Beauty Collagen oil. Pretty magical in making sure I don't flake at all!
I use the chanel foundation powder and it is really great but as i have grown much older and dry i feel i need to something more glowly over it any ldeas? Maria 🎉❤
Such a fabulous showdown of powders! So informative. I'm a very close on some/same on others colour match, so extra helpful tips for me. I am so bummed the 2nd ranked, Loreal 24hr compact, is not yet in Australia. I love the liquid foundation, such a great budget option for the quality, I'm 130 in that (when really tanned I'm 140 or throw on a little extra bronzer over 130 and I'm good). Oh well. Will I splurge and try the Chantacaille??? I just love the idea of throwing it in my purse. Maybe the IT cosmetics one or the HD??? Umm, but reviews really bag the amount you get for the price. I don't want flat matte, must have a touch of satiny vibe if I'm going to purchase. Again, SUCH a great vlog Mandy :)
I am so glad it was helpful Michelle! If you are in Australia, you should have great access to Inika. I know since it's loose, it isn't ideal for touch ups in your purse, but the finish is glorious!
@@MandyDavisMUA Indeed! I was just going to add to my comment and ask you to PLEASE do an update on the Inika's compact/pressed you are yet to try. DYING to know if you like it as much as the loose. :) x
Thank you, very informative! I’d be curious how you would compare the Alima Pure pressed powder with the Inika pressed powder? Maybe a review idea for your other channel, as I prefer to stick to more natural/clean brands. Thanks!!!
Could you do a round two? With the Sephora brand powder foundation, the Makeup Forever powder foundation, the Revolution beauty powder foundation, and the other you mentioned that you didn’t include? Along with other powder foundations.
I will slowly but surely add some more to my collection...it may be awhile before I can purchase all of them and do a round two, but I am sure it is in the future at some point. :)
Have you ever tried PUR minerals 4 in 1 pressed foundation? Thoughts? I love powders and have been using this but wanting something different. Many rave about Jane Iredale but it wasn't even in your top list so.............
I have but it's been a really long time since I have tried it. And this video is pretty old for me. The jane purepressed has become my favorite foundation of all (liquids, creams, powders). I have done a whole separate review of it here if it helps: ua-cam.com/video/z-LLM_CFry8/v-deo.html
Hey Mandy, I'm gonna bite the bullet and try the Chantecaille powder even with my dry skin. I think because I moisturizer and then spray with setting/glowy spray it may work for me. Question...I read camel is for tan skin golden undertones but also read they run light. What should I get for light/med skin ..I don't selftan. Well get color in the summer though. Bamboo? I believe it's 1 lighter than camel. Sometimes we are in same foundation colors. U may be up 1 level though too. Or perhaps cashew?! Also just ordered the Inika loose using your code 😊 Sorry for the long rant and questions!!! 💕
Oh goodness, I would hate to tell you wrong. I am thinking Bamboo maybe?? Since they do run lighter, that may work. Can't wait to hear what you think of the Inika!!!
@@MandyDavisMUA me too. I purchased that in Nurture.. your shade. Also, I ordered the Tarte eyeshadow pallette that you just showed also. Loving the Cureology even thought it's only been 4x. Lol. I like how my skin feels the next morning. I wanted to start over slowly with tret and not have to think about it. Thankyou so much for all your help!!!
i would love for you to try the MUFE powder foundation next. i absolutely love it. I will definitely be trying the chantecaille! thank you for this informative video!
I have it on my list for sure. I need to use some of these up, or at least hit pan. At least that it was I am telling myself...may or may not happen. LOL
Mandy your Hair looks pretty! Thx for the detailed reviews! Right now, I mix 2 Laura Gellar Balance and Brighten powder foundations.. but I don’t use it often. Will try it more- now that I will be wearing my mask at work all day. There is a MkeUpForever powder foundation I have been eyeballing for some time now :)
I didn’t even know powder foundation existed until I saw the Welsh Twins try the L’Oréal infallible fresh wear. I’ve not tried it on my face, admittedly, but it’s good coverage for some skin picking scars on my arms. I personally like the IT cosmetics celebration foundation in both matte and illumination because it’s a fairly good color match (admittedly again, I’m not the most picky. I tend to go lighter for goth looks but I have fairly light skin) and it’s got good ingredients to match with my desperate attempts at skincare lol
Could not agree more!
Powder foundation have been only thing i wear during pandemic. Stays longer and easy to touch up.
Most definitely!
If I’m paying almost $80 for freaking powder I better not have to conceal anything 😳

BTW, you have such an beautiful complexion you don't even need foundation imo! 🙂
Thank you so much, and I am glad this was helpful!
i looooooove this eye look on you!!! Would love to see this in a tutorial!
I tried the Inika loose powder because of you, and i loveeeee it.
So much better than bareminerals.
It loooks so beautiful and skin like.
Not drying, u can layer it and it wears nicely! I love it
Yay! So glad you love it!
I’ve been wanting a good powder foundation but there are so many on the market the IT Illumination one I liked but couldn’t find the right color. I’m going to try your pick for #2, because they probably have a better color range. Thank you for this video!
You are so welcome Jessica!
Thanks so much Jan...I appreciate it! Glad it was helpful!
This information is just what I have been looking for and what a great job! Thank you Mandy! The video includes thorough information and I think I have a few contenders for my choices in powder foundations. Again, thank you for your hard work. Happy New Year!
You are so welcome Jennifer! Happy New Year to you as well!
GOOD JOB, GIRL! THANK YOU! No fanfare. Clear, to the point, and you told us the shades you wear most. Which shade of the Inika did you use? Thank you!
Excellent video. 72 is way too much for me but going to try the Almay.
Happy new year 💗
Please let me know what you think about the Inika. I am loving their brand lately....so many great things! xoxo
Thank you!!! I bought the Estée Lauder powder foundation - cakes and makes my face shiny. I’m rushing out tomorrow to try the l’Oreal and Chantecaille! 🤞
Yay! I can't wait to hear what you think!
I've been waiting on this one!!! Can't wait to watch!
I hope it was helpful!
Oh I am so excited that you are trying out the Chantecaille! Please let me know what you think!
Thank you for the effort - incredibly useful information. Rae Morris makes incredible make up brushes (very expensive though). They have been the best powder foundations I have ever used.
So glad it was helpful! I have a couple of Rae Morris brushes, and they are great!
You are so welcome! Let me know if you give any of these a try. xoxo
Thank you kindly for your time and attention to this foundation info!!! Great help! 🥂💄. The infallible has made me curious?
You are so welcome. I am so glad it was helpful!
Thanks for the great video. Saved me some $$$. Your eye makeup is amazing. Would you be able to share what eye makeup you are wearing?
Thank you Denise! I listed all the eye makeup I have on in the description box. ❤️
Great segment! I used your code and ordered the Inika. Have you done a dedicated review on the foundation? I'd love to see application techniques using it. Great content. Looking beautiful. Thanks Mandy!
Thanks Lisa...I don't think I have done one specifically on that one. I will keep that in mind. :)
I’ve been waiting for this one! I’ve got samples of the Alima Pure and from a small brand called Toups & Co, but that Anika looks to be my style!
Oh the Inika is SO good!! I would love to hear what you think of it if you try it out.
Ever tried Jcat Aquasurrance? 💗💯👌My fave!! Want to try the Loreal🤗
I have had it in my drawer forever! I have no idea why I haven't tried it yet. I need to soon!
Great video! I like a bit of a radiant look - not too much bling but I feel better with a bit of radiance. How can I add a bit of radiance to the Chantecialle powder foundation? A radiant primer?
Thanks Cathy! Yes, you can definitely use a radiant primer with the Chantecaille to bump up the luminosity. :)
@@MandyDavisMUA Thank you so very much. Happy New Year and thank you for your fantastic videos!
This is a great video! I love, love, love the Inika powder! It is beautiful! Thanks for introducing me to it!
Oh yay!! I am so happy you love it!!!
Glad it was helpful Kara! I know the MAC is a staple for so many people, but I don't have it in my collection, so I wasn't able to include it. 😘
Super video!!! The powder foundation looks gorgeous on you, of course!!!
Thank you so much Sandra! I am glad the video was helpful!
This is a fabulous video! I always wanted to try the Chantecaille powder foundation and now I have a reason. Thanks so much for all of your obvious hard work with this!!! 👏🙌👍
You are so welcome. Let me know what you think of it if you give it a chance!
My favorite is Tarte Amazonian Clay powder foundation. I have oily skin. Works for hours and hours without breaking.
Thanks for sharing!!
Thank you so much for this informative video! I'm so happy I found it because I've been on the hunt for a powder foundation and didn't know which to pick and this helped sooooo much!
You are so welcome. I am so happy it was helpful!
Super helpful!! I love that the top has a drug store && a high end. 🎉
Glad you found it helpful Elisa!
Love , love the UD as well. I u see the elf kabuki brush to apply my power.
So glad you love that one too! Thanks for sharing your fave brush. xoxo
Mac didn't make the list...I guess I will try the L'Oreal Infalliable...I am a liquid foundation user.
I don't have the MAC so I couldn't include it.
I’m thinking if I love the alima pure loose foundation, then I will probably LOVE LOVE all the other recommendations!
I think you will too! Let me know if you try any new ones out!
Have you tried the J Cat Beauty Aquasurance powder foundation? I don't typically like powder foundation, but it's SO good!
I am definitely going to try the infallible!
I haven't, but I will check it out. Thanks!
Thank you, Mandy, for such an in-depth review of these powders. This video was extremely helpful.
Glad it was helpful Laura!
You didn't mention Mac Studio Fix Plus Foundation. :( My holy grail one...Have you tried it? Thanks for the info😄
I didn't have that at the time of this video, but it's great!
I just bought the IT cosmetics powder, have only used it over foundation but it gives instant coverage cant wait to use it as a foundation now. I have the Laura Geller balance n glow powder foundation hopefully its the same 🤞Whats good also is the Jcat aqua assurance powder foundation.
I think I have the JCAT one in a drawer somewhere and I have never tried it. I need to dig it out. :)
@@MandyDavisMUA p.s. i went to 4 stores today, all the Loreal Infallible Powder foundations were wiped out!! Not a one.
@@denisemarie7991 oh no!!!
I reached out to angelarogers on Instagram (she is a chantecaille rep) and she helped me out with shades if you want to do that. xoxo
@@MandyDavisMUA Thank you for the advice to reach out to chantecaille. I'll do that.
I haven't tried them...thanks for the rec!
I feel it is a huge difference in a pressed and loose. love the review
Have you ever tried Clinique Almost Powder - non irritating, covers redness without cakiness - at least on my 62 yr old moisturized and sunscreened skin. Does not need setting spray.
I honestly think I have that one but have only used it for setting so far. I will look into it. Thanks!
Well done!!
Oh I love this. Thank you Ginny! I hope things get to a point where you can get out sooner than later. xoxo
Mandy to the rescue! I’ve loved the Laura Geller for so many years!! Now I need to try your top two. I love powder foundation for quick get ready days. Thanks SO much for all these reviews!! Hugs!!
You are so welcome Kelly! I am glad you enjoyed!!
Need a review on the new Fenty powder foundation, please
Just bought it today...I will let y'all know!
Nice demo. Thank you, very helpful.
You are welcome!
I had to rewind that because I thought I had remembered your age being a lot younger and what??? Your skin looks soo good!!!! 😱😍
You are so sweet...thank you!
Thank you - Fantastic demonstration! Looking forward to trying it your way.
Thank you! I am glad it was helpful!
I've been curious about powder foundation. Thank you for all the work that went into this. 🌻
You are so welcome!
Great video! I adore the Chantecaille powder foundation. And when you wear it lightly over the Future Skin- gorgeous!
Oh for sure...it works great as a setting powder too!
Thank you I might have to try the L'Oréal infaillible powder now. :)
I think you will like it!
I use the jane iredale golden glow the same way. I stipple it over liquid foundations or tinted moisturizers. Never use it alone. Almost use it like a setting powder...
Yes...it's amazing used that way!
Trying to find a replacement for my beloved too Faced coco powder. Thank you so much!
You are so welcome!
Mandy, thanks for the great, extensive review. Have you tried Make Up Forever's new HD Skin powder or Shiseido's SS Custom Finish powder foundations since this review? I'm curious what your thoughts are, if you have.
I haven't tried those yet, but I have heard nothing but amazing things about the new Makeup Forever one, and I need to try it asap.
I think I’m going to have to try the Chantecaille! I’ve always stayed away from powders because I run dry but might have to rethink it!
Oh it is so so good....let me know if you try it out!
I use the chanel foundation powder and it is really great but as i have grown much older and dry i feel i need to something more glowly over it any ldeas? Maria 🎉❤
Definitely give the IT Cosmetics Illumination powder or jane iredale Purepressed foundation. xoxo
All the L’Oréal colors are out of stock! I got excited about this one bc I’m on my way to ulta darn!
Oh no!
Great video thanks Mandy. Have been waiting for this one! Very very informative.x
You are so welcome! So glad it was helpful!
This has been the most helpful video! Thank you!!
You are so welcome Christie...thank you!
I purchased the Chantecaille powder foundation in Maple and it is THE BEST! Thank you. I may never go back to fluid foundation!
Oh yay!! It makes me so happy to know that my recommendations work out for y'all!
Thank you, very informative! I’d be curious how you would compare the Alima Pure pressed powder with the Inika pressed powder? Maybe a review idea for your other channel, as I prefer to stick to more natural/clean brands. Thanks!!!
I need to use the Inika pressed powder more so I can do a legit comparison. :)
Thanks so much Diana! I have heard great things about the MUFE one!
Love Chantecaille, but if you can’t spend $60 for a power the Pur one is $29.50 😍😍😍please do review !!!!!!!
Do you know if the talc on the Chantecaille is certified asbestos free?
Hey Stephanie, I got with my contact at Chantecaille and confirmed that yes, the talc is indeed certified asbestos free. :)
@@MandyDavisMUA Thank you so much Mandy! 👏🏻🙏🏻☺️
