The First Kneebar You Should Learn - BJJ Leglock Submission
Вставка
- Опубліковано 21 лют 2019
- Whenever someone asks me how to do a Kneebar, this is what I show to them :)
It's simple, straight to the point, and very effective.
This Kneebar set up became famous when Dean Lister submitted the legendary Saulo Ribeiro, back in 2003 at ADCC, from top half-guard.
In the video above I also show some extra options and how to combine it with guard passes and other leglocks.
This is a little submission sequence that you MUST have in your game. Check it out!

Obrigado, professor! I am showing this today to my class, and it's always great to see how you do it to learn a few extra wonderful details.
This is an awesome little sequence. I've been working on it for 5 months or so now and have just finally started having some success with it.

Definitely a big fundamental for the leg locks vocabulary!
Thank you! This is the one area I am lacking in. Can you do a video on defense of knee bars as well? Good leg lock guys get me with this sometimes.

What do you think about knee bar from imanari roll??
It's a great option as well. I would consider it a bit more advanced than this one.
What do you do about your groin since your opponents foot in near your groin
Isn't this a risky position, becaouse the opponent can take your back?
It can be risky if the control is not tight enough, but it has been performed successfully at the highest levels of competition though.
Every position is risky if you don't stick to the fundamentals of the technique.

My knee starter tingling after seeing this, flashbacks from getting kneebared to the point of popping
Who is the cruel person that did that to you brother!!!
My math teacher didn’t stand a chance.
What's the difference between jiu Jitsu vs Brazilian Jiu Jitsu???
take a look here ua-cam.com/video/UiVyUQqkWro/v-deo.html
Jiu Jitsu is a Japanese word so Jiu Jitsu by itself might refer to Japanese Jiu Jitsu which is a martial art that has evolved over hundreds of years. It mostly focuses on throws, some strikes, and some ground fighting, where as Brazilian focuses primarily on submissions and ground fighting.
Is this reaping the knee?
Not reaping the knee Richie.
Can this be used in a steet fight
it can although it's probably not the best option. Just mount the guy if you can.
@@MMALeech if you pulled it off it would be really devastating for the other person

What if he takes my back the second I go for the turn & im exposed now while holding onto a locked up leg…
There's an inherent risk for every move in jiu jitsu. It comes down to how much you have practiced it, if your attack is sharper than your opponnent's defense, you will succeed. It has been done successfully at the highest levels of competition as shown in the video.

Jesus! What a savage move. This can end a man's career!

I'm about to stop washing the dishes forever once I see my gf this evening
Yes!
My only beef is, if I did this to my training partner, it doesn't hurt until it breaks..... so I would avoid it in practice.
False, kneebars hurt earlier than that, not to mention you can feel the pressure of it. As ling as you dont crank it and hip into it immediately after getting it your partner will be fine. If you have the submission there shouldnt be anything stopping you from applying it in a controlled manner leading to the tap.
Heel hooks dont hurt until the damage is done, but the same principle remains, they can feel the pressure, and if you apply it slowly everything will be fine, worst case you can always catch and release if youre feeling very opposed to it
Thanks Now I Can Try It Out On My Girlfriend
you are welcome!
No. Thank you 🙏🏽🥋
