Having seen your previous waffle videos, after you added the first ladle of batter I literally screamed “STOP!!!”
Then I remembered I was watching with headphones and my wife was on the phone with her mom. Oops.
As always, a wonderful glimpse into your peaceful little corner of the world. THANK YOU!

The way I make waffles, I separate the eggs, egg yolks get mixed with milk. The egg yolks get whipped, until peaks form, mix the liquid and dry ingredients, fold in the egg white, cook

You have a great waffle maker. I love vintage cast irons. The first thing I got was Wagner's 8-inch skillet. I've been using it for over 20 years and I cherish it very much. Wagner is difficult to obtain in Japan, but I sometimes buy new ones at antique shops. Antique stores and flea markets are a lot of fun. Do Japanese skillets and Dutch ovens hit the US? Snow Peak and iwachu are popular here, but I like Wagner's smooth face. I will make a waffle with your recipe today. Thank you.

I have not seen any Japanese cast iron here in the US, mainly the Lodge brand around me. Thx! Eric

Stupid me, I thought that was a vintage Griswold iron having never gotten a good look at the outside. I was thinking that's terribly rough for Griswold but ok. Then you linked to it and I thought "yeah right". A Griswold waffle iron has been high on my radar for over a year but I haven't found the right one.
Changing tracks, when you hang cast iron in the e-tank hang it inside a pillowcase. You can clamp it to the hanger or zip tie a pool noodle to the opening. This catches most of the crud keeping the tank/anodes cleaner longer. I clean for 2 estate sale companies and myself so my tank can get pretty nasty pretty quick. I have a 55 gallon barrel cut to hold 35 gallons lined with stainless steel sheet metal because it's easier to clean. (SS has been completely safe) My charger puts out roughly 38 amps depending on the surface area of the pieces. Time is important to these folks so I try to clean 3 pieces at a time. It will hold a #14 but that's my depth limit, anything larger has to rise above the surface. I never touch em with a wire brush, they'll start slow but within the hour it'll be 100%. I hang em on two 3/4" copper pipe with 1/4" "J" hooks in em. Two separated hooks in one pipe and one hook center of the other, I can stagger em that way. I have a short 6 gauge jumper to connect the pipes when both are needed. I don't change the water very often but the anodes are cleaned often and never stored in the wet tank. My mixture is 1 1/2 tablespoons Laundry Soda per gallon. They say it won't shock ya. I say ok pee in there, I'd pay to see that. When its pushing 38 amps it will light you up. Not saying this is the best or the only way to build an e-tank but maybe you guys got something out of it that you can use.
