Having seen your previous waffle videos, after you added the first ladle of batter I literally screamed “STOP!!!”
Then I remembered I was watching with headphones and my wife was on the phone with her mom. Oops.

Yeasted waffles are my favorite waffles!

Yum! Love waffles and that looked pretty close to perfect!! The pups are adorable. ❤️
They are!
How great! This rocket stove idea is cool. Also: thx for the yeast waffle recipe. I'll try next time I use my cast iron waffle iron...which will have to be pretty soon...
Your videos are always entertaining and informative. Happy New Year! 🎆❤️✌️
Thanks Peggy!
Always great videos !
love it
One of your best videos.
Thanks Gail, love waffles! Eric.
The way I make waffles, I separate the eggs, egg yolks get mixed with milk. The egg yolks get whipped, until peaks form, mix the liquid and dry ingredients, fold in the egg white, cook
Good to know. Thx!
Awesome 🌸
As always you rocked it. I love waffles .
Yeah!
와우~ 신박해요
대단하네요 영상 잘 보고 갈게요 ㅎㅎㅎ
I found this channel when I was looking for a way to season skillet. It's a nice channel. It will be fun to listen to the conversation. I also like gardening and it will be a learning experience. I am looking forward to it from Japan. good luck!😊
Good to hear from you. I know several people from Japan who watch. Welcome! Eric.
You have a great waffle maker. I love vintage cast irons. The first thing I got was Wagner's 8-inch skillet. I've been using it for over 20 years and I cherish it very much. Wagner is difficult to obtain in Japan, but I sometimes buy new ones at antique shops. Antique stores and flea markets are a lot of fun. Do Japanese skillets and Dutch ovens hit the US? Snow Peak and iwachu are popular here, but I like Wagner's smooth face. I will make a waffle with your recipe today. Thank you.
I have not seen any Japanese cast iron here in the US, mainly the Lodge brand around me. Thx! Eric
Wood ash in the food is essential for outdoor cooking!!
Exactly! It adds flavor. Funny how people get concerned about it. Could be worse... 😀 Eric.
love hearing your wifes voice she is great
She keeps me focused , thx!
I would have thought the grate would have helped with the airflow, but it still looked like it worked for you. Done is better than perfect 👍
Hi Scott, I thought the grate would reduce the heating, so i pulled it. it worked out good enough for me ;) eric.
Great, i like that pan.
Silke from Berlin
Hi Silke, good to hear from you. Waffles are perfect for this week ;) Eric.

Konrad
Good to hear Konrad, thx!
You two are so cute!
Now you need to make some ice cream so you can have waffles and ice cream
Yes Dave! Just saw my ice cream machine in the basement. 😃
YUM!!!!
Stupid me, I thought that was a vintage Griswold iron having never gotten a good look at the outside. I was thinking that's terribly rough for Griswold but ok. Then you linked to it and I thought "yeah right". A Griswold waffle iron has been high on my radar for over a year but I haven't found the right one.
Changing tracks, when you hang cast iron in the e-tank hang it inside a pillowcase. You can clamp it to the hanger or zip tie a pool noodle to the opening. This catches most of the crud keeping the tank/anodes cleaner longer. I clean for 2 estate sale companies and myself so my tank can get pretty nasty pretty quick. I have a 55 gallon barrel cut to hold 35 gallons lined with stainless steel sheet metal because it's easier to clean. (SS has been completely safe) My charger puts out roughly 38 amps depending on the surface area of the pieces. Time is important to these folks so I try to clean 3 pieces at a time. It will hold a #14 but that's my depth limit, anything larger has to rise above the surface. I never touch em with a wire brush, they'll start slow but within the hour it'll be 100%. I hang em on two 3/4" copper pipe with 1/4" "J" hooks in em. Two separated hooks in one pipe and one hook center of the other, I can stagger em that way. I have a short 6 gauge jumper to connect the pipes when both are needed. I don't change the water very often but the anodes are cleaned often and never stored in the wet tank. My mixture is 1 1/2 tablespoons Laundry Soda per gallon. They say it won't shock ya. I say ok pee in there, I'd pay to see that. When its pushing 38 amps it will light you up. Not saying this is the best or the only way to build an e-tank but maybe you guys got something out of it that you can use.
I just got finished eating waffles!
"People take charcoal like a vitamin".... OMG 👀👀😳 😄😄😄😄💕💕💕
I know. But They do, its supposed to help your stomach, from what I've been told.
@@gardenfork I know. It was just really funny the way you said it. No offense intended. Love your videos 😍😍😍!!!
It’s also used for accidental poisoning I believe, absorbs bad stuff in your gut.
looks so yummy! what is your waffle recipe?
Yummy! Need the recipe!
thanks for reminding me, i just dropped it in the text of the vid! ERic.
@@gardenfork Thanks Eric!
I'd go 2 or 3 more rows up for a taller chimney and better rocket effect
Shouldn't use pine wood for cooking.
If it says rocket and stove I'm in
Same here! Always fun to see what people are up to.
