This guide was fantastic for me. I haven't played much other than sekiro, and a lot of the guides out right now seem to be made for experienced players of souls games. This helped a lot!
My progress with this build Margit the Fell: 2 attempts until success Godrick the Grafted: 3 attempts until success Aghleet Dragon: 3 attempts Yeah this is a good build. Fun, powerful, and very cool!
Isn’t that that girls father you do the quest line to reunite and then we find her dead?! I just did that quest yesterday and now you’re telling me to go kill him lol
I've had Elden Ring since it came out. It's the kind of game you get because it is a once i9n a lifetime game and I always thought "I'll one day install it and play it". Well, now is the time. I like this build. I just started and I just got my horse and have been killing the guards in the Gatefront Ruins. I think I'll use this build and see how far it takes me.
Started Elden Ring 1 week ago. Used this guide right away and can say it really is OP. Hope there is an update on this vid since I'm doing the Shield+Halberd because of this vid.
😍 I was playing Elden Ring a couple of weeks ago thinking “man, I wish Hack had plans to put out powerful ER build vids like his ESO builds…” I think all of my luck for the year just got used up! Thanks for the build video!
Why aren't you using Radagon Soreseal and Turtle Shield? Both are easily acquired without the need to fight any bosses. Also Turtle Shield have passive stamina recovery that pairs well with Turtle Talisman.
I’ve gone with casual mercenary build My armour is Skeletal Mask Mausoleum Knight Armour Mausoleum Knight Gauntlets Mausoleum Knight Greaves My weapons are Iron Greatsword (Standard Wild Strikes) Banished Knight’s Shield (Standard Carian Retaliation) Black Bow (Regular and Dweller Arrows) Talismans (I don’t have all the talismans I’m gonna be using yet, but these will be the ones I intend on using) Erdtree’s Favour +2 Dragon Greatshield +1 Green Turtle Prosthesis Wearer’s Originally I was using a bunch of different equipment, like Carian Knight armour with Cuckoo Knight gauntlets and greaves and the Blue Noble Hood, with the Bastard Sword, but really, I just wanted to change my look, besides, the Mausoleum Knight set has some higher stats while looking cool so it’s what I went with
Tip for newbies - the Radagon SORESEAL is a better easier option (+5 instead of +3 to all your same stats) - no fighting and no damage involved "if" you follow these instructions. From the Warmaster's Shack head East, past Alexander across the bridge to the Summonwater Village Outskirts SOG, continue NEast after getting the Green Turtle Talisman, noted above, to the Smolder Church SOG, (note: hug the clifts to the north, along the water, to avoid the invasion that will occur "only if" you enter the church from the front of it - grab the grace there, a couple cook-books and the out the NE side of the church to the SW along the road, hop the burning wall and grab the Rotview Balcony SOG (note: a Golden Rune 4 in the shack to the left and Preserving Boluses on the shack to the right, "both guarded", be careful) Continue along the clift there@ the SOG to the East and when you get to the end near the carriage on your left you'll see another grace, the Caelem Ruins, grab it then head Easterly to the clift to the N and along it (note: big dogs on your right) until ya get to a "jump" spot across to the other side which will lead you to the Dragonbarrow West SOG. Go abit SE along the road there and you'll find the map pillar before a pond w/ 2 dragons in it - grab the map! Lool on the map and you will see the Isolated Merchant's Shack SOG to the NW (where the road "Ys") - this guy sells the Beast-Repellent Torch for 1200 runes IIRC, this w/ make things a breeze for you later - How you get to the spot we are going next is up to you (I always talk to D before killing the Mariner there @ Summonwater and after ya do, he be waiting for there near a big rock - he'll converse w/ you and put a mark on your map of a fast-travel point N of the 3rd Church of Marika - which allows me access to the Beast Clergyman in NE Calid and I go to Ft. Foroth (the big money dragon grace), where the Radagon Soreseal is located. You get there however ya like. Once there head up the stairs and stop - you'll see the stairs turn right leading to the door - WAIT, and stand next to the "pillar" ya see on the 1st landing - "equip" any AOW weapon or any longsword, halbert or whatever (I use the Lordsworn Greatsword from Gatefront carriage and Sacred Blade or Flame of the Redmanes on it, but an AOW is optional here, a bare weapon will do) walk to the right of the pillar and "bash the s(&^ otta the wall, multiple times!!! go wild - this will attract the bad flying beastie next to the inside stairs where you are headed for to move toward the inside of the wall you are bashing - then run through the doorway, ASAP, crouching when you enter (AFTER HAVING EQUIPPED THE Beast-Repellent Torch, in hand or on your back, while 2 handing the sword - IT MUST BE VISIBLE ON YOUR CHARACTER) and fast crouch walking to the the ladder inside Foroth, done properly you will take no damage here OR poison as long as you are crouched until reaching the ladder. Grab the right half of the Medallion outta the chest - drop down on the deck to your right (facing the chest), and before doing so see the stairs down an elevator opening and to the right a bunch of bags, barrels and another opening further on - take this path over the junk (HAVE YOUR SPIRIT WOLVES READY TO GO) and hop down into this second area, go around the pillar in the middle face where ya hopped down and IMMEDIATELY cast your wolves (spectral knights are right behind ya) - ignore them as your wolves are between ya and them hug the left wall and run straight for the shimmering Golden Rune 12 ya see at the far end of the platform (the rat on you left will get outta your way as U have the torch - grab the rune, wheel around and jump over to the other landing on your left, I bash the wall boards on my way to grab the rune - go left then right around to face another small and Large Rat (again no worries as they won't aggro) and hop down into the lower area to grab the Radagon's Soreseal - U can then use the ladder from down there to get back up, skirt the knights, beasties and bats or simply quit out, reload back in and fast travel back out - done deal, no fuss, no muss, no risk........., (sorry this was so long)
lol, ......... not to mention all the lost rune markers , indicating deaths, his over-leveled status, the Erdtree Favor never mentioned (from a very difficult area, for those un-skilled in taking out baddies, without well prep'd strategies and tactics) - all typical of YT'bers that fight nothing along the way, just simply run around guzzling health flasks. Personally I prefer killing everything along my way to becoming OP, as the game gives ya everything a player needs to do this, even with a Level 1 Wretch....., "if" ya truly know ER and care about not fubaring NPC questlines.
I’d def like to see more of your content and builds for dummies and noobs/ started with Sam, having a very hard time. Thinking of a magic/ maybe prisoner build. Would like to see/ please include stat skill levels to level up, goals. I wasted so much runes on skills I didn’t need.
Just what I was looking for, sadly I didn't get the halberd off of Irina's father because I advanced her quest too far :( Thanks for the awesome details here.
Want to try a Halberd build out. Many say go get the Golden Halberd, What you thinking of that ? As it does require Str 30, Dex 14, Fai 12 Well in the planning mode for what to do 🙂 Kindly.
@@HackTheMinotaurTwo Yea, I made a fresh start, And got it all so, Very strong, Good move set. I need some more Stamina before i can DW Halberds, That my next goal. And i need more health as i use all my point to be abele to use the Golden Halberd 1 handed with a shield. Going to add the Nightrider Glaive Halberd with Ash of war - Giant Hunt (When i can get that Ash of war) Kindly.
Why would I play a knight, go through all the trouble of getting that +8 halberd, to then put gravitas on it, which is a magical ability that would change that weapon to scale with magic?? A knight switching his weapon to scale with magic, how does that make sense?
The main thing I would say is to not neglect levelling vigor. Whilst you may be eager to pump strength to get more damage or whatever, later on in the game if you don't have enough health, things are going to kill you quickly and you won't be having much fun.
Pretty good, but the lack of shield poke in this guide is weird. Just show them were the lance, or tree spear are or show them how to farm partisan... I guess I can’t be too judgmental cause of how old this video is, I just find the lack of thrusting weapon disturbing lol
Fun build but I can't kill bosses - I kille margit but for Godrick i do so little dmg and he does magic attacks which you cant block, any tips on how to progress?
Pretty easy to fight? That's the hardest boss I have ever fought in a video game bro... Jeez "The shield should make this fight easy" Bro he got attacks that go through the shield bro... Anyone got some REAL tips?
I've tried something similiar right now around 42 lvl after i almost speedruned the game as classic mage. I'm stuck on Rennala Second Phase, constantly dodging most of her abilities (still lot of vigor) but shield is useless in this fight, also low melee damage don't allow me to drag her below 50% hp and she's constantly increasing distance. Any tips xD?

Yeah I don't recommend this guide. Also spear works much better for this build because you can attack while blocking.

Please show us how would you improve this build to mid-late game? after the nerf is it still viable for new players?
Dude why don't you just simply show on the map where that is?? You say the name of the grace as if everyone has it already?
Good tip on the npc halberd!

Grab the Morning Star as well, it's a great strike weapon that does bleed.
Damn, Hack, having 2 shields makes perfect sense. Thank you.
good build but no understan why do you got gravitas ash, if you dont got magic power.
i think its best throw spear ashe

Barricade Shield gets nerfed:
This build: 💀
I was sitting here trying to figure out why you sound so familiar....
Went and checked your channel list.
Wtheck.... it's Hack?! Lol
Great vid btw 😁
Hi hack, saddly barricades as been nerf in 1.3, and stay 5 sec instade of 10 which make this build way less efficient (still playable)
I still use it! But definitely not as often. I also run one extra magic potion and it works fine
Tried knight build really need to practice alot😂
Why would I play a knight, go through all the trouble of getting that +8 halberd, to then put gravitas on it, which is a magical ability that would change that weapon to scale with magic?? A knight switching his weapon to scale with magic, how does that make sense?
Because you can put the weapon art on it and keep it standard so you don't need int at all
I no that voice!!!!! Hack sup love that your here also doing builds
Is their a sword that can be used in a knight build? I seem to struggle with the halberd
Maybe a thrusting sword?
Nice surprise here! Yes, I would like to see more. Thx! :)
Great video, great format. Thanks for time stamping.
Yo do you have a different channel? Voice sounds mad familiar, I’m thinking something to do w/ eso??
Hack! I watch all your ESO stuff glad to see you doing Elden ring now too!
DONT kill Edgar unless you want to ruin the hayetta questline.
It won’t ruin it, you will just have to go back to where you killed Edgar for the shabiri grape
hi is there a written guide for this? Im new & would like to know how to go about attributes and where to put what as i keep leveling

I went to fight Edgar and when he attacked me, he fell off the ledge! Is there any way I can get the hallberd??
How about the twisten armour set? Is it better then vagabond and knight?
Dude knight Edgar is an NPC and you make a guide about killing him before completing his story?
Fun build but I can't kill bosses - I kille margit but for Godrick i do so little dmg and he does magic attacks which you cant block, any tips on how to progress?
Start rolling/jumping, and get some damage in when you can :)
I dont know why but I could not for the love of god find the dude that drops the halbert.
Pretty easy to fight? That's the hardest boss I have ever fought in a video game bro... Jeez

Anyone got some REAL tips?

Summon two people and let them fight her OR get the archer ashes in the graveyard area and they stun lock her with arrows while you go ham
2hand and use Stand-off skill for easy stuns.
is this still viable?
I want to know too
This guy's sounds like Hack the Minotaur...
😎
"pretty easy" no Flask left and 10% health left. 😅 I'm joking
Hate the idea of onehanding the halberd with shield. Will pass.
Because a video game is not real life?
I hate when ppl are calling one of the best multiplayer games of all time a single player game.
looks ugly tho
Not viable. Halberds are not good at guard counters and colossal weapons are simply better at breaking posture.
