    If you’re training for the handstand, you need to take proper precautions to avoid injury. The last thing you want to do is neglect a proper warm up and injure yourself. In this video, I demonstrate the routine I use to warm up for my handstand training and explain everything you need to know.
    Here's a summary of the whole routine:
    - jumping jacks (1 min)
    - neck turns (10 reps)
    - shoulder rolls (10 reps)
    - arm circles (30 seconds)
    - cat/cow (10 reps)
    - child's pose (30 seconds)
    - Wrist work:
    - wrist circles
    - finger squeezes
    - wrist stretches (extension forward/backward, flexion)
    - hollow body (30-60 seconds)
    Good luck with your handstand training, and remember to check out my handstand playlist for step-by-step tutorials for your handstand journey!

    I'm learning frog stand and your handstand playlist is really helpful. A lot of channels don't bother to explain a proper warm up. You deserve more views. Greetings from France.

    I want to point out how a proper warm up is crucial to handstand, not only just wrist stretches, but warming up the whole body and getting the blood circulation going and also proper breathing (which I can't do properly in handstands)
    I really prefer your approach over others. much thanks for that warm up

    This seems healthier than a lot of yoga channels out there. A good warmup helps me trust myself with exercising alone. thank you

    Guys. I have a question. If I can handstand push up, do I still need to do pike push ups? I don't do knee push ups because I can do regular push ups or bench dips because I can do dips. But what about hand stand push ups? If I can do them do I still need to do pike push ups?

    Hi, do you practice your handstand every single day?

    • @MinusTheGym
      @MinusTheGym  5 років тому +2

      Mau5 yes, I aim for 10-15 minutes of solid handstand practice per day, minimally. Often more. And I should make another handstand video soon because I've gotten a lot better since I made this video :)

    After learning handstand. What happened If I didn't practice frog stand and shoulder strength workout and only focus on handstand

    • @MinusTheGym
      @MinusTheGym  4 роки тому +1

      Mohamed Luraif you'll need some time to learn frog stand and develop the bent arm pressing strength if you want to press up... but no harm done to your handstand.
