I have a 820- 3330, 15inch 2012 macbook pro. That had sensor issues as it became very laggy and Ran diagnostics (asd 3s150) to find out that the fin stack, right fin stack and gpu die senors wern't being read by the smc..
Upon further checking, i realised that the temp monitor ( Q5550) was faulty. I changed it, but the problem now is all the other sensors have started working except the fin stack sensor which still shows unreadable by the smc (TH1H ERROR).
Now the problem is, the 820-3330 schematic shows nothing as " fin stack". I tried chnging the "left heat pipe sensor" but it didn't help. And along side i'd like to mention that all these sensors didn't have the (22pf)capacitors attached to the diode sensors as shown in the schematic.
What am i doing wrong or what should i do? Please help.
    Thanks!

Where should I look in my 820-2915? I just swapped a faulty display for a good one and now it won’t post the fans just run full speed. I do have a GPUkiller fitted.

Excellent video , the only that fix the Fin Stack Sensor . just 2 questions why you add the extra wire ? Second is't this Sensor on the I/ Board on macbook Air mid 2014 ? THX Again Googled for 2 Days to find this video (#Q5501 Sensor is the Th1H Sensor )

Yes, this only fixes the Fan Fin Stack sensor. The extra wire is because the trace was damaged that connected those two pins, so I had to run a wire to replace the trace. And about the MacBook air, yes, I believe it is on the I/O board.

Hi,in my macboook pro the fans always run at 2000rpm, is there any solution for this?
I tried to start the diagnostic at startup with the D key, and it gives me an error: efi / drivers / testsupport.efi.
I also tried USB stick, same error

Patrick Jacqmotte Is the machine booting up and usable? Are the fans running full speed the only issue?

Another excellent video. Dear friend, I'm facing a VP0R sensor issue with a 2011 MacBook Pro A1286. This machine runs slow and fans spin at 6200 RPM with overheating and overload at CPU (Could these issues be related to SMC or Q5300?). It also only allows charging the battery only when it's turned off. I also realized that the sound volume is too low, and it's not related to any OS issue. Any assistance you could provide would be very helpful.

Do you know off hand if its possible just to bypass these sensors? I have the high fan speed and laggy GPU stuff going on in my mid 2010 macbook pro. I know that I can use an app "mac fan control" and slow down the fan, which fixes the issue, but the mac doesn't read the battery either...pretty messed up
