If you foound this video informative, please leave a like and subscribe. Have you guys ever had issues on newer macbooks installing a battery? Let me know down below!
I recently replaced a battery in a 2013 MBP. It was initially stuck in a boot loop. In the past, and in other videos, the battery was the culprit. I tested the new battery in the MBP before removing the old one, and it booted. After replacing the battery however, now it gives one beep every 5 seconds and won't boot. it does it still when I discontinue battery and connect ac. Help!!!!!!!!
this video saved my life, or my mac i should say, i really really didn’t wanna pay someone else for repair and my mac wasn’t turning on. took the battery connectors off myself and put them back on but did not know about THE LATCH, was having the same problem but latched the connector back in now we’re all good baby. that’s a great feeling
Pulled a virtually new battery from a dead 2017 MBP and after installing it got all positive indications on the "Coconut battery" app indicating there are no problems but the fan kicked in to the max in a minute or so with no apperant reason. Couldn't figure it out and on my search bumped into this video. It's impossible to pull out the batt data cable on this model, but inspired by your actions I disconnected it from the board, wrapped it and sprayed it with contact cleaner then gave it a gentle wipe plus a short spray in to the socket. All back to normal, hohnestly made my day, cheers!
Wrapped it up in what bro? I seem to be having the same trouble here. My right fan and right fan only spins full speed after battery replacement. Could u please give me a detail of what u did? Appreciation in advance
Had this problem, but turned out to only be the battery cable not being fully plugged in. Thanks anyway for the help!
It's possible remove the damage zone cutting 2mm of flex ? I have a MacBook pro 13 2016 and the flex battery is soldered on de board battery... It's the original battery with only 200 cicles...
It
would be nice to know the year and model of the macbook
I may eventually replace the battery on my old 2012.5 15.4” retina, but I’ll let the Apple “geniuses” replace the one in my m1 max 16” when that day comes. Thank you for this vid. Great info and caution.
Glad you foudn the video useful =). Do they still replace the 2012? I know for most repairs it is considered "vintage"
I didn't replace my battery, however my battery fan is so loud, the keyboard light doesn't come on, the battery health doesn't show.
The last I checked, the battery health was normal. I'm confused
I tried the "shit + control+option+power button" yet still happening
thank you
You're welcome
