- Thank you to Tamarind restaurant on an amazing day.
I didn’t know I could have so much fun dining at a restaurant but I had an absolute blast!
From going through the market and learning about all the produce, animals, and other various things history, ways they are used in the culture, and how they are eaten really opened my eyes and helped me learn so much.
As for the eating...well, I’ll save that one for the video! Ha

Welcome to laos .
This is my favorite food channel on UA-cam👍🏽👍🏽. Max always brings great energy and shows off cuisine most tourists wouldn’t other wise be aware of if he didn’t showcase it on this channel. Keep up the great work, Max!
yesssiiirrrrrrr!!!! Glad to have you here Chris!
Thanks for showing Laos (My Motherland). Love all your videos. Your new fan from Minnesota USA.
If you come back to Vietnam and want to catch some weird stuff with me and eat it, let me know!
Thx for sharing your experience, I miss Laos.
it is my pleasure
You're a brave brave man max... That was so tough but riveting to watch... Lol
haha thank you for watching though! I am just glad I got to try!
Max, regarding food you’re going where no food adventurer has gone before, and that is awesome! 👏
haha I like to push the boundaries if I can!
I love Laos food. Everything you eat makes my mouth water!
What I like most about Max is how honest he is. There is another guy I watch occasionally and he gives every dish an A+. He says "wow" everytime he tries something. Not likely EVERYTHING is awesome. Max on the other hand has range.
thank you for this. I take pride in being able to say I do not like something.
Max, 👍👍 you can handle the red 🌶, the bugs and love Laos food. I love it
My wife is from loungprabang and seeing you eating Laotian food is mouth watering like crazy... you are sure can put away some chili peppers like the locals.... well planned trip my friend.
thank so much brother!
Why is that? I love all foods from all countries but Thai and Lao food is so mouth watering!
I am Lao and love how you are so adventurous. Some things I won’t even eat lol. New subscriber love your channel
Welcome to the family!!! It is my pleasure!
Love it!! I’m from Laos and I try to cook this food daily but you are braver than I am when it comes to eating some of the stuff. Love your foodie adventures, keep it up!👍
Hey bro! Congrats on hitting your 100K milestone! Looking forward to more from you in this wonderful food journey!
thanks Henry! Really feels good to have hit it!
You're a great youtuber. I wish you the best. You deserve all the success!
thank you for your kind words!
Wow!! You eaten those! 👍👍I salute you🙆♀️
Thank you for showcasing how authentic food should be respected and your pronunciation isn't westernized. I love how you are not afraid of trying new foods beyond the typical. Great work.
It's like watching an episode of Fear Factor. Your audaciousness when it comes to eating exotic foods is outrageous. And I mean that in the best possible way.
Oh my! I don't know if I can watch this!! For me eating grasshopper and snails is as exotic and adventurous as I get.
Max dear u never fail to suprise me 😀😁😃 bugs, snake, frog, snail OMG!!!
Thanks alot for visiting Laos and exploring my country.
my pleasure

I love how you’re eating the Lao Food, truly utilizing the sticky rice as a utensil! Very authentic! That bark you had in that stew at the end, I had it for the first time in LP too! Interesting texture!
That was over the top. Loved it

That is some high praise. I got a lot more coming in 2020
Oohh Max..its difficult for me to digest all the exotics morning catch..Hahaha..my hands on my mouth all the time..Awesome video!! Thank you.
haha I am just happy to hear you enjoyed it...even though it was a little exotic!
Hi Max, loved your walking around the market. Wow, turtle got his freedom almost😱. That’s one big cut up boa. Now to eat at tamarino with beer to start. That look in your face eating that snakes made laugh so hard. Your blog is awesome as usual. Exotic eating this time. Hmmm. Boom that hand motion said it all🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣. I enjoyed this exotic blob.
hahahah had to really push my limits and try new things!
2:00 With the eel. She said: WHAT ARE YOU IN A HURRY FOR! But the accent is very nice. Hahahaha.
Thanks so much, Max! You’ve happily lessened the loss of Anthony Bourdain for me! Hope you keep on eating, keep on traveling, and keep on educating us to those far away places and cultures!
OH wow. that is some high praise. Thank you very much. Hoping I can get better each time.
Wild wild food! Wild wild Max! Keep that fire 🔥 🌶 going!
Very good video
That's super foods right, full of herbs and spices and that warn is full of proteins🤤😋

I went there too, but lucky there was an open table for me and my hubby. There was a lot of reservation tables. The food is unique compared to the street foods.
You are so lucky to be in Loas. I have family there but never been to Laos. Keep up the videos pretty soon you'll catch up to Mark Weins👍
More trips to the local market please! 🙏🏾
would love to!
I'm very impressed how you discribe Lao foods so accurately! Luang Prabang, my birth place! Hope you will visit other provinces in the north and south.
yes, I will go more south next visit!
LOVE YOU BRO YOUR STYLE IS WONDERFUL
Thanks always bro👍👏
Thank
Dude, little extreme for me. But I am glad you liked it. Yeah I don't think I would eat that stuff. Beer I can do..
Another great video and awesome content. my parents cook most of these foods and it’s definitely soul food. I just can’t do bugs, you’re brave lol!
Awesome to hear you say that! hey, we all have something we do not like!
Max chomping down on those bug guts, slimy snake and mystery gunks like an absolute boss! Well done, sir!
thanks🙏😁🙏
Very nice
Lol you enjoyed Laos more than I did and I speak the actual language not that I didn't enjoy it much just your expression of interest in the food brought it to a new hype 👌
Very interesting and exotic! We have agro market which sell some jungle products in some rural areas in Malaysia, but definitely not as exotic as the market that you visited. The only thing we have in common is the layer cake that you had for dessert. 😃
haha yes, but Malaysia has some exotic things as well!
Have fun 😊😍😎🌺🌺
You're way more Lao then me! Best wishes.

The pink and white layered kuih is called kuih lapis here in Malaysia. Lapis means layered. Love this episode max!
