- First before crab, we went for some NOODLES! One of the most underrated noodles in Vietnam. Mi Tron, an instant noodle tossed in a spicy, sweet sauce and served with a side broth of beef, seafood, and definitely some scallions.
Finally time for the crab feast as Phong Cua. This place is really unique as you get to go to the back and pick which crab you would like to have for your meal. We went with the cua thịt lợn, which I mistaking translated in my video. Grant and I decided to go with the Curry Crab and picked a few side dishes to go along with the main star of the meal. Clear why this place is called the crab room. With perfectly cooked crab coated in a delicious curry sauce. I think every way you order crab here will be a delicious feast. It makes it obvious why everybody had a few crabs on their table.
Of course you know I couldn't stop there, I had to get something sweet. I went for a type of che that I haven’t had since I lived in Hong Kong. The black sesame seed and sesame seed desert is a staple in Hong Kong and I am so happy I found a man doing a really delicious version here in Saigon. Just don’t be like me and wait too late in the day or he may just sell out.

If you want to eat delicious crabs, eat at the beginning or end of the month, because according to folk experience, the cycle of shelled crabs to grow will fast during this time, so they are thin and often fried (less meat). Do not buy crab around the full moon day (15th lunar month) because this is the time when crabs peel, fast, so they are easily fried (less meat). And one experience is try to go to a place where the crab is not tied by cloth but with nylon rope to be delicious like Ca Mau, Thanh Hoa So crabs will not be cheated on weight, if they want to choose crabs on both sides of the network, if they are soft, the crabs are not sure that the meat is delicious, but if there are brown and white ones, choose brown and dark ones according to folklore

Lol, I know the title of your videos is "all about that 🦀". But I was so excited to when you say you will have the sesame and peanut paste dessert. It bring back so much happy memories for me eating that with my dad. You are absolutely right, it is very hard to find a place that served that kind of dessert now in Saigon. I was looking for it last year when I went back but no luck. You definitely should try it again to fully get the both flavors. Yummy and fun video as always.
Wow now that's a crab curry feast Max, and for only $16.22 in US dollars all I can say is WOW. Over here in the states something like that would be $50 to $100. Also send the rain this way were burning here in Colorado and California. Great video sir!

Woaaa I've been there! It gets PACKED at night and is full of locals. Looks like you went to the first spot. They have a second location like 2 minutes away, it's that popular. Some say the second spot is almost as good but it def has a way nicer view.

My Thai chef mom and non-chef dad just asked me to tell you that one shouldn’t eat shrimp heads whole, unless the stomach/top part of the head has been removed. Skrimps eat some nasty things that aren’t good for folks to ingest.

Hope you'll try prawn dishes at "Quán tre" (Bamboo resto). It's located in Binh Thanh district too. Prawn in tamarine sauce is my fav. And there's a must-try dish called fish stomach stir-fried in sate sauce. I really like your vlogs and how you made them so natural 👍👍
